Cookies & Cream Frappuccino
Abraham A.

Been meaning to come here for quite a while. It's a beautiful modern coffee shop with an industrial twist. I'm not going to lie, it was the cotton candy frappuccino that really got my attention. The drinks here are decent, but are a little light in flavor. The cookies and cream Frappuccino hardly tasted like cookies and cream, the mocha frappuccino wasn't all that bad, but again all frappuccinos were lacking in flavor and had the consistency of a smoothie and not a frappuccino. I do feel that this place has room to grow, but is slightly hampered due to covid-19 restrictions. Hopefully when things get back to normal, they could invest in utilizing its large space to attract crowds and young students, adding more outlets and USB's. I will give them credit where credit is due, I do appreciate their customer rewards program and friendly staff. For now they just need to focus on adding more flavor to their one-of-a-kind drinks.

LOVE grabbing a matcha from Journey Coffee whenever I'm in the area! One of the things I do miss…read morewhen I used to live around here was coming to this Journey Coffee location and getting work or studying done while sipping matcha and looking out at the lake waters. I would sometimes even take my matcha and do a nice lap around the lake when the weather was nice. Journey Coffee has a few locations but the One Lake location was always my favorite. I've tried a few of their food and drinks and all were super satisfying. If I were to have ordered food, my go-to is their Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar Sandwich. It's always packed with flavor and a good size for a breakfast sandwich. When I went in today, I didn't even need to look at the menu because I knew that I had to get their Matcha Latte sweetened and with vanilla syrup. Not sure what they do exactly with their matcha but it's just so rich and creamy and not overly sweet so you can really taste the matcha flavor. Always a must stop when in the area!

What eventually made me stop going is the price-to-value ratio. It honestly blows my mind to pay almost $5 for an espresso and close to $10 for a specialty drink. It doesn't taste better than Starbucks--if anything, I actually like the Starbucks espresso more, to be honest. The staff is always super friendly, but for me it's just not worth the money.

I SUCCESSFULLY FOUND THE ESTABLISHMENT WITH GOOGLE MAPS after driving around in circles and being told to park near hwy 12 then to walk here! I tried the Cinnamon Roll Latte with soy (I'm vegan) which was super creamy. I'd recommend it. I'll be back to try the Bewley's Fair Trade Chai, Cafe White Mocha and the Vanilla Cream Avalanche. Cool place to study! They've also got a system where they store your information which is pretty cool and convenient. If you're using google maps, this place isn't hard to find. I'll definitely be coming here more often.

Awesome cafe w/ great ambience, yummy drinks, and nice workers!…read more Pros: 1. Great coffee? Check! (You must try the Cinnamon Roll Latte & Mayan Mocha). 2. Customer service? Workers are very helpful and nice. 3. Ample seating + outlets? Tons & it's very spacious; perfect for studying/working on laptop. 4. Nice lighting? Yes, and during the day lots of sunlight enters the cafe through their ceiling-to-floor windows. 5. Clean bathroom? Yes. 6. Food? I didn't try anything, so I can't rate it. They make sandwiches & have pastries. Con: 1. It's hidden. But that just may be a good thing = more seating for you and it allows for a relaxing atmosphere, especially if you want to get work done. Just look up directions for Mount Calvary Baptist Church and you'll find it. It's across the parking lot from the church.
