6/12/26 in the afternoon, 8 of my family met from Sacramento, LA, and Richmond at the 741 E Monte Vista Ave. Subway. A tall young man was there alone. He took care of all of us extremely well and was incredibly personable and efficient. The 8 sandwiches had fresh ingredients and were made to order. We were able to put two tables together, sat comfortably, and had a wonderful visit. The place was clean. (Even the john.) One of us stayed in the car to nap because of the drive from LA. The whole time we were there, the young man was continuously busy. My family highly recommends this Subway. Kudos to the tall young man who worked that shift! P.S. When I chose this Subway location, I was skeptical because of some of the comments. Our young man could easily be a manager because our experience was amazing. read more

Quality/Quantity - Such a BIG change since the $5 foot longs! When I want or need to eat healthier, I think of Subway. Basically a salad in a bun. Today was a 9 hour travel day today, so I got two footlongs. Oven Roasted Turkey & All American Club with everything on it. Lots of different product footlong promotions, see pictures. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Clean, except it looks like they are going through a transition, a few large boxes laying around. Indoor or outdoor seating, but everyone mainly takes to-go. No public bathroom visible, nor did I ask. Open 7 days a week from 7:30am to 8pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Okay. For Father's Day, if we ordered via the app, it would have been BOGO free, but the employee would not honor it... Price - $30, very expensive for what we got and for "fast food." Especially since I used to pay $5 each. Or am I outdating myself? I ordered my free sandwich through the app for a pick up order and as I go inside to ask for my order she asked do I buy from their location often, I said no. She explained in full detail how they don't appreciate people ordering their free sandwiches at their location. Like what do I care! You are being owned by subway take it up with them and give me my sandwich. It was very unprofessional to greet your customer that way just cuz it was non profitable for you. Lastly they went very minimal on the BLT sandwich I got as if I was eating straight bread, barely any ingredients at all. Very very skimpy on everything!! Every time I've came to this one (only because it's close to where I was) they act like there's a massive shortage of vegetables. I even asked for extra to see if it would make a difference, but they literally put like 4 thin onions, maybe 6 olive slices, 4 pickles, etc.!! You get the point!! No where on the website does it says NO CURBSIDE AFTER 4PM. But that's what the Subway employee yelled at me, very rudely as she threw my bag in the window of my car. RUN! I pulled up out front for curbside delivery and use the app to notify the store that I had arrived. I noticed that the store had someone ordering so I waited until the person could be helped. Once the customer left it's been about 5 minutes and I watched the clerk play around with some squirt bottles and stare out the window so I. Thought to called her to let her know I was outside. After the 5th or 6th ring she answered and I informed her that I was here for curbside and she started to shout at me that she had. Other things she needed to worry about and other customers were here before me. I replied that there was no other customers that I could see, and she ranted at me about being too busy and the only person there. I hung up on her and she came outside with my food to then actually yell at me by my truck. At first I couldn't really hear her, so I turned off my music and she was actually raising her voice at me, when I just wanted to leave with my food. Something about how I shouldn't just sit in my car and I'm not the only customer in the world. I would have happily come inside had she asked! She didn't stop, and when I asked her to move so I could leave she walked to the side walk and kept shouting until I drove away. To make matters more disappointing...my request for "extra extra extra jalapeños please " earned me literally three. Three slices. This was such a scary, weird experience. I have no idea what to feel. I didn't want an apology, or a refund, or anything crazy...I just saw her messing around with sauce tubes and thought she didn't realize I was there while she helped her customer. Used to be a regular here but not anymore after today i'll never be back. Placed a mobile order and came in to pick it up at the time it stated it was ready. I get there and they say they don't have an order under my name, well that's weird because it took the money from my account and im staring at a receipt i got( it was placed to the correct address) . So after 10 minutes of going back and forth with them over something that's clearly their systems fault, they don't offer to remake it so i have to ask if they can make the sandwich that i got charged for, to which i get attitude from them. she then says well if we don't get the money for it we can't make it. Ok well i got charged for it. She says i just hope you come back and pay for it later on and i told her how am i going to come back and pay for something later if it already charged me money? so ill do her one better and won't EVER be back. To be treated like this as a regular (even she said she knows i come in all the time) is insane. They acted like i was trying to pull a fast one on them because of an issue on THEIR part. If I could give a restaurant zero stars, I would give it to this place. The food itself tasted fine but when we had tried to ask for a bit extra of lettuce and spinach she would act like she couldn't hear then said "there's already plenty, i can't give more," wish i took a picture because it wasn't i promise or else i wouldn't have asked for more. Then had i known about the "hospitality," i just would have went somewhere else entirely. Service was rude. I walked in and I smiled at the lady and said hi and she said "Yes?" Asking for more than two pickle slices and tomatoes on my sandwich made me feel like I was asking for the lady to do a couple back flips. The bread was soft and the sandwiches were good though. Went in the bathroom before I ate, to wash my hands and the faucet was broken. Seems pretty unsanitary plus how expensive can it be to replace a cheap faucet? Hopefully the employees wash their hands somehow. I wouldn't come back to this Subway. Next time I'll just go to the one on the next block. Skimpy stingy servings to the point it's actually insulting. They also give less slices of cold cuts then they're supposed to. She and her husband also had a horrible experience with Minu a week earlier. She has zero customer service skills! And she is very stingy with adding veggies to your sandwich.
