Usually I always order a grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup and it's always good. This time I ordered a Cobb salad. It was very filling and it tasted great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ambiance is casual and kind of plain but not really there for ambiance. This place is good for a quick bite with a friend or take out. read more

Boudin SF - Cobb salad with extra chicken 8/10 - Bakeries Near Me - Vacaville, California

The food was good, but definitely not the same quality we've experienced at the Wharf location or other locations we've visited. Unfortunately, it just didn't feel like the food was prepared with the same care. The service was even more disappointing, and the restrooms were not clean at all. The only two people who were genuinely pleasant were the lady my age or younger preparing food in the back I believe she had a scarf on her head and Joseph, the young man working up front. Thank you both for being kind and welcoming! We visited on September 12, 2026, around 1 p.m. The young lady who took our order was very unwelcoming and showed little personality or hospitality. We just turned away and left but my 85-year-old mother was already sitting down waiting for her food. The tall gentleman preparing food in the back also the server and CASHIER at times seemed like he simply didn't want to be there. I ordered bread to go, and when I saw how it was prepared and packaged, I was honestly disappointed. Good food is important, but good service, cleanliness, and a little hospitality go a long way too. Unfortunately, this location fell short of what we've come to expect. read more

Boudin SF - This is how my bread was given to me - Bakeries Near Me - Vacaville, California

Be careful when ordering clam chowder in a bread bowl online for pickup. On two occasions about a year apart we have ordered this only to find no bread bowls in the bag when I came to pick up the order. I get that things run out, but to not tell the customer that there are no bread bowls when you hand them the bag is poor customer service, in my opinion. Luckily I looked in the bag. I asked for some type of compensation on both occasions and was able to get a loaf of sourdough bread, but only after being met with resistance and no sincere effort to make up for the missing bread bowls. The irony is that we didn't want to order from here today because we didn't want to risk not getting bread bowls again, but figured if we ordered early enough, we'd be in the clear. While I was picking up the order at 4:45 PM, a man walked out from the back and yelled "we just used the last bread bowl!", which immediately let me know the situation was repeating itself. How did I get so lucky? If we do ever eat here again, we'll be sure to show up in person and make sure there is an inventory of bread bowls on hand before ordering. read more

Tasty or WasteY??? What a waste!!! Not only were the bathrooms filthy and disgusting. There were tons of toilet paper thrown on the sides of the toilet and there were toilet covers all over the floor with stuff on them. The bathroom lights barely worked. You couldn't even use the restrooms. Now to the disgusting food. I ordered chili and they were so dry. It was almost like there were too many beans in it and it's soaked up all of the sauce. And then the bacon on my BLT was burnt. This place is nothing like the one in Stockton or anywhere else. Last but not least... My husband said one of the employees did not wash his hands before going back to work. So he told the manager and nothing was done about it. read more

I haven't been here in a while so decided to come by. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with mixed greens. It tasted fine but I don't think it needed to have so much vinaigrette dressing. I will ask for dressing on the side next time. My husband ordered a pizza. It reminded me of a kids lunchable pizza for some reason. He said it was cheesy and ok. He had never ordered a pizza from there so he was just curious. I was craving something sweet. I ordered one peanut butter cookie. I was pleasantly surprised about the moist and chewy texture. The staff were helpful. I think the place can use some new booth seat cushions. They looked a little gray and dirty. read more

I came here on a rainy day to get some clam chowder! I have always loved getting Boudin clam chowder in SF on the warf, but this clam chowder at this location is somehow not the same. The clam chowder wasn't very flavorful and tasted kind of bland. The bowl size of food wasn't very filling. I came on a rainy day and they had run out of bread bowls so they gave us an extra slide of bread to go with it. We ordered a cup of tomato soup which was a lot more flavorful than the clam chowder! The French dip deluxe was flavorful and crispy with the cabbage on it. read more

Review for Boudin SF We had such a great experience at Boudin SF! We ordered the Clam Chowder, the French Dip Deluxe, and the Pepperoni Pizza (which was my kids' favorite!), and everything was super tasty. The food was fresh and flavorful, and we all left happy and full. The service was really friendly, the place was clean, and they had relaxing music playing--which made the whole visit even better. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

WOW FACTOR? No. HAVE AGAIN: Butternut soup with half a grilled brie with apples and brie was delicious. Really 5 star good. However, their rewards program had changed and they no longer had my membership - I guess it was deleted because I hadn't been able to come for over a year. Not too important. read more

Came here for a quick lunch and I was deciding between the tuna salad sandwich and the turkey cranberry sandwich. I ended up going with the Turkey cranberry and it was delicious! There was a generous serving of cranberry sauce on it and the ham was thick. The service was great as well as our server was really nice and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. The side salad was also tasty as well and was pretty filling. I would come back! read more

My husband & I came here Fri around 11am for a late breakfast. I got the Bacon Egg Cheddar Muffin, no bacon, sub Provolone $8.19 which was just ok. The English Muffin didn't seem to be Sourdough which definitely affected the taste, so it was rather bland. My husband got the Grilled Cheese Jalapeno $10.49 which I tasted. It was too spicy for me but had a lot more flavor then my sandwich. We also got an order of Spicy Ranch Fries $6.49 which were cooked perfectly. The prices here are a bit high for what you get, but we're paying for overall experience of eating at Boudin at the Outlets. read more

Stopped by Boudin SF in Vacaville during a busy lunch rush. It was pretty crowded, so the customer service was decent but understandably not very personal. Staff was efficient and kept things moving. I went mainly for my grandmother and ordered the clam chowder in a bread bowl along with a sandwich and fries. The food was fine--what you'd expect from Boudin. The chowder was warm and filling, and the bread bowl was good, though nothing stood out as exceptional. The sandwich and fries were okay, but again, nothing memorable. Overall, it was a solid, average experience. Not bad by any means, but not something that really stood out either. It's a convenient spot if you're nearby and want something familiar, especially during a busy day. read more

Nommie bread! I love the sourdough bread and soup bowls at Boudin SF. The bread is fresh and so tangy. They have large and small loafs, baguettes, and dinner rolls. The cuteness factor is the animal shaped loaves. The small turtles are so adorable. I have seen crab and bear shaped loaves too. The butternut squash soup is divine. I like the addition of cranberries and walnuts. You can order it in a cup or bread bowl. read more

Boudin SF is a good sandwich, pastries, soup, & and pizza place. The food is pretty good. This location has a big outdoor seating area, in addition to the inside dining area. Ordered via GH a sandwich Boudin advertised as vegan. Vegan, not made vegan with substitutes, just sold as vegan. I was very upset to find huge globs of what appear to be some type of cheese. Come to find out they also have a vegetarian version they offer. The kitchen really needs to be educated on what vegan means. Many people with serious food allergies order vegan food for safety. The worst part is I am not in the restaurant to have my food remade. Will not order from here again. I caution fellow vegans when ordering as well. read more

I come here a lot and have had good customer service but this time I encountered one of your employees with buzzed bleached hair with a tattoo behind her left ear that goes down to her neck (she didn't have a name tag). Extremely rude and condescending. Worst customer service experience I've had . I almost cancelled my order , I didn't because I didn't want to have another negative interaction with said employee. read more

I forgot to take a picture of my food but it was delicious. I tried the open face crab melt and broccoli cheddar soup. Both were really flavorful and filling. The lady that took my order was helpful and friendly. I came in just before the lunch rush, so it was pretty quiet in the restaurant. Though I didn't get any this time, their fresh baked bread and cookies are always really fresh and tasty. read more

Hunger hit us hard after a long day of shopping at the nearby outlets. We were craving some well made comfort food with fresh ingredients and this hit the spot. Much more than soups and salads. I don't know what's going on here these days. It's been so rough coming to dine. The line seems to be super long lately, tables that need cleaning and it takes a while for your food to come. Literally from the time we walked in to the time we got our food, it took 45 min. Both my hubby and I ordered the half combo. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and soup. My sandwich was so small..so much smaller than my hand. The clam chowder still holds the classic taste but I was missing my side bread. I just didn't have time or energy to ask for it. I used to be a huge fan. I hope things change. I do my best to be understanding of short staffing and practicing patience. But my last three visit here are enough for me to take a long break. Someone let me know when things turn around here. read more

I hate to leave negative reviews, but after coming here at least 5-7 times on our trips from SF to Tahoe, and it always being so mediocre, I felt I had to. The sandwiches are totally flavorless, and have very little meat or cheese inside. They forget to put on the condiments. They give you the wrong bread selection. It takes FOREVER to get a sandwich or soup, you wait for so long. It is expensive for what you get, my 10 year old makes a more appealing sandwich. Save yourself the bland and boring and go to Panera across the street. Wish we had seen that sooner. read more

What can't you say about this place. Food is yummy. Service is great and area and atmospheres are perfect. Service was spot on.

Food - ordered the chicken pesto with chips. the chicken was good and the flavor was good, but the bread was super disappointing! the bread felt very stale and wasn't crunchy at all. felt like it was old bread. boudin is usually known for their bread so this was a bummer. Service - pretty standard. wait in line and ordered at the front, sat myself and waited for the food to arrive. didn't take too long Ambiance - lots of seating, restrooms were clean. read more

I was here on a Monday night around 5pm. There were no bread bowls available, the self-serve soda machine was not working, my husband ordered a Diet Coke and was handed a bottle of regular. When he asked for Diet, he was given a warm bottle and no offer of ice. My sandwich came with a puny side salad with several pieces of rotted lettuce. Nether bathroom had been serviced - men's room was out of paper towels and women's was out of toilet paper in both stalls. Tables were not cleaned promptly after customers left. I should have gone with my instinct and spent my money at Buckhorn Grill (and will do so in the future). read more

I have not been here in five years. I remember it as very busy and hard to find a table. But that has changed. When for dinner and only two tables had people. All but three tables were dirty. The drink machine had all the sodas tagged out of order. Took a long time for the food. Server was nice. Food was bland and a letdown. Not going to return. read more

We are regulars at this location and really enjoy the food. The only problem that we keep seeing is that the place seems to be short staffed and dirty. Anything management can do to help them out would be appreciated read more

First time eating at the Vacaville location. Everything was amazing. The restaurant was very clean. No lines at the counter to order. Our food came out promptly. I ordered the Pick-A Pair, with Chicken, Walnut, Apple Salad, and Creamy Tomato Soup. My companions ordered the California Burger. Everything was well presented, the food was fresh and delicious. The hamburgers were very thick and Juicy. The soup had great flavor and consistency. The salad had a mixed flavor profile, sweet and umami. The apples and lettuce were crisp and fresh. I definitely recommend Boudin in the Nut Tree Shopping Center. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! read more
