Love Panera bread! Our fav are the soufflés for breakfast! Their choc chip muffins and bagels are made fresh daily, served till 10:30am and then it switches to lunch! Loved their Green Goddess's Salad for lunch, and their 2 for 2- you can have a variety of different combos- soup and salad, soup and half sandwich, etc. and the quality is always good- never had a bad salad, soup, or sandwich. When my Mom was still with us, this was her fav spot to go. If you sign up with their app, you can order on the app, dine in and order from your table and pick it up at the counter! You get rewards for using the app, so I would sign up if you haven't already! So convenient when there is a long line! When you enter you can see all the pastries and bagels behind the counter- they have a glass display of what is available to order which is a great idea. Drinks, seating and coffee are on the right side of the restaurant. They serve Peets coffee- my fav so it's a win win! As always, I will be back! read more

As a Sip club member, I find myself visiting Panera a lot whenever there's a location nearby. Since I was meeting up with the in-laws, we all decided it would be a good choice to meet at this Panera location for lunch. This place was definitely busy at lunch time, and our orders took quite a bit of time to come out. Service however was very friendly, and napkins, straws, and the drink dispensers were all stocked and mostly full. Tables here were also fairly clean and seemed to be wiped down regularly. read more

I was in town running errands, used the app to order my favorite Cinnamon Crunch Bagels and a large Iced Tea. $9. 04. I got home put them in fridge until I had time to slice them and freeze for 4 meals. I pulled them out next morning, burnt beyond consumption level. So disappointed. They had to know they were burnt when they took them out of the oven. When I called the team member was very empathetic, the manager no so much. I had her remove the whole charge. Food was mehhhh. It was honestly bland and overpriced. HOWEVER, I am giving a 5 star review because the cashier Luis was so kind & helpful. He had so much patience with my mom and I. He answered all of our questions. There was also a gentleman in the back who let me switch out my blueberry lemonade because I didn't like it. I appreciated that as well. Sometimes having pleasant staff like this young man Luis makes up for mid food. EDIT: the service just got BETTER. My wife and I came to Panera for dinner today. I haven't been to Panera in a while, but I had an $25 gift card from Christmas, so it was a good time to use it as we were shopping at the Nut Tree Plaza. The restaurant was clean and there wasn't many people eating when we first arrived just before 6:30pm. They have some self serve ordering kiosks and 1 register where someone can take your order. We bother ordered 1/2 sandwich/soup (Pick 2 deal). For the sandwich we each tried the limited time Ciabatta Dippers sandwiches. My wife got the Bistro French Onion Soup and I got the Broccoli Cheddar Soup. The Ciabatta sandwiches were good, but could benefit from a little more meat. The dippers is basically one of their soups, the French Dipper included the Bistro French Onion Soup to dip in and the Spicy Chicken Dipper had the Creamy Tomato Soup to dip in. We did not read the full description of the sandwiches, otherwise we would have either ordered a different soup or had a salad instead of soup. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but for the price it left us wishing for a little bit more food. read more

I have always liked Panera, but the last two times I've been here it's seemed more like a chain than ever. Today was very lackluster. I arrived at 11:30 hoping to avoid the lunch rush. I was surprised that a shift leader was manning the cash register at lunchtime. Maybe someone was on a break and he had to hop in, but I suspect that was not the case. I dined in and the entire time I was there he was at the register. While i was waiting for my food I used the restroom and was surprised to find that it was dirty. It looked like no one cleaned it from the night before. There was toilet paper all over the floor in both stall, and the bathroom counter was dirty. Even the automatic soap dispenser was a little grimy. I asked for a manager and was told he wasn't busy so I told the employee and he said he wasn't "allowed to go in there." I asked him to let the manager know but figured that wasn't going to happen. For being the lunch hour I feel they were extremely understaffed. Sandwiches take a long time to make, especially theirs so why they only had one guy making the sandwiches, I don't know. My 1/2 sandwich and soup order took WAY too long but it was consistent with Panera quality. I told the manager about the bathroom and he said he would have someone get right to it, After that I finally saw someone wiping tables, etc. As I ate my lunch though, I saw something that anyone that follows my reviews knows drives me nuts. The glass doors into the restaurant were filthy! Ugh! Why do I keep finding restaurants with dirty doors?! It is such an easy way to say they are clean and ready to serve? I'm a frequent Panera enjoyer and I don't think that will ever change. I always use their app and think it's one of the best compared to other brands. I just got my food delivered and I want to give a shout out to the staff for calling me and letting me know they were out of a popular cookie I ordered (not a big deal, things happen!) and gave me an extensive list of what they did have, and even gave me recommendations. The woman on the phone was so friendly and apologetic. It might be the bare minimum but I haven't had staff call and try to accommodate for something they were out of. It's usually just refunded randomly, or straight up missing, but huge gratitude to her for making sure I got a sweet treat :) This is the right way to deal with unforeseen circumstances and offer timely solutions! read more

I think the assistant manager took our order. He was very good, patient, and friendly. The food was excellent. We like Panera as we know what we are going to get. Not the cheapest in the world but acceptable. What wasn't acceptable was the condition of the bathrooms. The Women's bathroom was some of the dirtiest I have ever seen especially at a Panera. The dust looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and the toilets were really bad. The condition of the bathroom, left a very bad taste in my visit. read more

I ordered online and went in and sat down after checking that I was third in line on the monitor. It said they were prepping my food. I sat down at the counter by the prep area and waited. They called other people by name and then I sat and waited and nothing happened, I went and checked the monitor and they were no longer prepping my food, my name was no longer on there. Apparently Corporate says you have to go ask for your food and then the manager has to come over and verify who you are and give it to you except that none of that happens and they don't tell you anywhere that you have to let them know that you're there. Not online, not by a sign in the store, no where -so you just sit there while your food gets cold and nobody Does anything. I don't think it's my imagination that Panera is not doing as well as it used to and this might be one of the reasons why. It isn't that the people who are working there are doing anything wrong. There was a girl and guy worker 07/20/25 around 1:40pm on the food station side and I was waiting for it my 3 month old in my arms for 15 minutes to be helped, while they ignored me and helped other guests confidently. For the sand I ordered a BLT. They were out of onions so that was a negative and the bacon was not fresh. The sandwich itself didn't have much flavor. The soup I was able to order French onion small and brocolli and cheese small since they forgot to give me a bowl. I wasn't impressed with the onion soup. The base wasn't flavorful. "My Favorite Rest Stop on the Way to Davis" This restaurant is my favorite place to stop when I'm driving north towards Davis. I use the rapid order pick up online, and every time I come here they have my order ready. If you've never tried the online ordering process, give it a try. It's really simple and works well. It also applies your rewards. You get a reward for every seven visits. During the coronavirus time, they have altered their restaurant to make it safer. They have a big parking area outside for Rapid Order Pick-up. You can stay there and they will bring it out to you, or go in and pick it up. In the store they have clear markings for social distancing. There are also sanitizing stations in the store. Thank you for making your restaurant safe for us! There's something really great about consistency--Food prepared correctly, at reasonable prices. Good service does not happen by accident. I had a chance to talk with the general manager, Angela, who explained this store is really humming. They're even hiring people right now! Next time you visit here, take a minute to thank the staff for working hard during this tough time. Here's something I also appreciate: If they happen to be out of something, they bend over backwards to make it right. For example today they did not have the little cream cups, so they poured some cream into a coffee cup for me to go. Small details are important. So I frequent this one a lot. And two stars is about what it is. Hit or miss sometimes. My most recent trip of 11/08/19 was a definite miss. I used the phone app to order my meal. I ordered the kids Mac and cheese with yogurt and a tuna salad sandwich with drink. The Mac and cheese was way over cooked. The shells were so big it looked like they were fed growth hormones. My daughter took one bite and spit it out. I'd guess they were too mushy. At least she had her yogurt. Turns out nope. I opened it and started feeding it to her when I noticed it had expired Oct 26. If that isn't the worst at a restaurant! To feed kids expired food. Sad to say I probably won't be getting her kids meals here anymore. And now I wonder and worry if I've ever eaten anything from here that's been past the expiration date. I definitely don't want food poisoning. Last, my cold sandwich and daughters yogurt was placed on top of a very hot item. By the time I got home the hot item had warmed both the cold ones up. Can you say yuck? So phone app order for pick up, I do like you for being faster than ordering in person and I do like the convenience of being able to pick you up once I get to the restaurant. However, it is such a headache when there are issues with the order to be given an expired item and not be able to go up and exchange it. I also don't like hot and cold foods being placed together in the bag. Will I use you again ? Perhaps but I have to order only hot or only cold items. I tried Panera for the first time in 5+ years and was shocked by how awful it is. First off, it's surprisingly expensive. My 'pick two' salad and macaroni combo came out to $15. Second, the ambiance is really suspicious. Check out my attached picture of the ceiling falling apart! It's debatably an OSHA hazard! Third, the food was beyond foul. The macaroni and cheese was 480 calories per CUP and had no flavor whatsoever. I had two bites and threw the rest away since it was a massive waste of calories. The salad was okay, but overall looked like hospital food and again was very bland. Overall, you'll be spending $15+ for a 700+ calorie meal that tastes like nothing. read more

Curbside pickup is a breeze!! We ordered online through the app and it is so simple. We ordered some sandwiches I ordered the turkey bravo sandwich, and they ran out of the tomato basil bread that goes with it. So I got the black pepper Bachata bread instead. It was not very good but I know for sure the turkey bravo with the regular bread that it comes with is great. They made the order correct and it came out very fast. Once I parked at curbside three minutes later my food was out to me and it was correct. Of course everything taste good. The next time we went there we got some Bagels on Tuesday. We ordered them online as well for pick up and they did not have the ones that we ordered online, so they gave us some cookies as well since they were not able to fill the order that we made online. Oh this place... we first were introduced to Panera in San Diego many years ago. So excited for one to come here and it has just been run into the ground by terrible management and some (very annoying and loud) shift managers. PRESSURE to order at the kiosks. They yell your name out loudly. You go up and get your own food. They have tubs out for your to bus your own table. But as expected, "please tip us!" One supervisor, rather than RING ANYONE UP, kept saying she'd help people use the kiosk. People don't not use the kiosk because they are too stupid to use it. They have other reasons. They used to have people bring you your food so once you stood in line, ordered your food, and paid, they would at least bring it to you. Then they had electronic sensors where they could tell what table to bring the food (if I recall.) Then the little vibrating things where you went up to get your food. Now it is just this obnoxious yelling of names (did I say the one guy there ALL the time is LOUD?) the entire time you are trying to enjoy your meal. This might be one of those restaurants that is so poorly managed it closes in Vacaville (looking at you Rubios...) Oh and the final kicker -- so they can appear sustainable, they have all the different recycle bins. I watched an employee recently dump all of the recycling into the trash and take it to the dumpster. I asked someone else if they recycle the recycling (ie. was it just this one employee) and was told no, they don't recycle, but give you the *impression* they recycle. And their prices. A pretty small bowl of essentially boxed mac and cheese, with tax is TWELVE DOLLARS. If this place (or the whole chain) goes under, they will have nobody to blame but themselves. read more

Did a preorder for bagels. Was having a morning brunch party. Prepaid, just needed to pick it up. Was waiting to pick up and noticed that workers and management were taking bagels out of my prepaid, preordered box and putting it in another box to give to a family that was after me that did not prepay but had ordered in store. There's nothing to hate on here. This might be lunch / quick meal perfection. Snacks - plenty. Do you want carb heavy, a sweet treat or an apple? Covered. Salads - So many yummy options and all seasonally appropriate. Portions sizes are huge (even a half) and filling. Sandwiches - Again, so many options. So many bread options to wrap around delightful ingredient combos. Beverages - coffee, blended drinks and a drink "fountain" that has several lemonades and teas with clear nutritional info and ingredient listings. Panera is ahead of the game when thinking of healthy choices or healthier alternatives to the normal casual food options. Customer service is always polite and sometimes downright charming (our last visit was a stream of awesome staff interactions). Restrooms are always clean which is also key as my wife and I use this as pit stop between the Bay Area and Reno road trips. Aside from good meals and snacks, a clean restroom is also a key consideration. This location also has a fairly large lot so even during peak times you can find a parking space. A table to eat at, that's another story. You may have to wait around and pounce when you see an opening. The staff is usually pretty helpful in pointing out open tables when they see you searching around. Overall, Panera is doing things right and setting the bar pretty high for casual dining. read more

Dined inside the restaurant during Phase 2 of shelter in place. There was no line to order. All employees were wearing masks. There was a table placed between the cashier and customer for physical distancing. Ordered a You Pick 2 combo of half a frontega chicken sandwich and Caesar salad, a half Mediterranean salad with quinoa, and a full Tuscan chicken sandwich. Sides were baguette and a bag of chips. The salads were fresh and the sandwiches were warm and flavorful. In the dining area, every other table was sectioned off as not available for physical distance. We did see an employee buss and sanitize tables when we first sat down. However, as it came to nearing finishing our meal, we noticed customers couldn't find an empty table available as those weren't yet bussed and sanitized promptly. That's where the minus one star comes in. Would suggest Panera to have another employee help buss tables. Even though there's a sign on the restroom doors that the restrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly, it's not enough when I went to use it. The stall I was in was out of toilet seat covers, TP on the floor and the sink counter area was full of water and spilled soap.
