Oh this place... we first were introduced to Panera in San Diego many years ago. So excited for one to come here and it has just been run into the ground by terrible management and some (very annoying and loud) shift managers. PRESSURE to order at the kiosks. They yell your name out loudly. You go up and get your own food. They have tubs out for your to bus your own table. But as expected, "please tip us!" One supervisor, rather than RING ANYONE UP, kept saying she'd help people use the kiosk. People don't not use the kiosk because they are too stupid to use it. They have other reasons. They used to have people bring you your food so once you stood in line, ordered your food, and paid, they would at least bring it to you. Then they had electronic sensors where they could tell what table to bring the food (if I recall.) Then the little vibrating things where you went up to get your food. Now it is just this obnoxious yelling of names (did I say the one guy there ALL the time is LOUD?) the entire time you are trying to enjoy your meal. This might be one of those restaurants that is so poorly managed it closes in Vacaville (looking at you Rubios...) Oh and the final kicker -- so they can appear sustainable, they have all the different recycle bins. I watched an employee recently dump all of the recycling into the trash and take it to the dumpster. I asked someone else if they recycle the recycling (ie. was it just this one employee) and was told no, they don't recycle, but give you the *impression* they recycle. And their prices. A pretty small bowl of essentially boxed mac and cheese, with tax is TWELVE DOLLARS. If this place (or the whole chain) goes under, they will have nobody to blame but themselves. read more

Dined inside the restaurant during Phase 2 of shelter in place. There was no line to order. All employees were wearing masks. There was a table placed between the cashier and customer for physical distancing. Ordered a You Pick 2 combo of half a frontega chicken sandwich and Caesar salad, a half Mediterranean salad with quinoa, and a full Tuscan chicken sandwich. Sides were baguette and a bag of chips. The salads were fresh and the sandwiches were warm and flavorful. In the dining area, every other table was sectioned off as not available for physical distance. We did see an employee buss and sanitize tables when we first sat down. However, as it came to nearing finishing our meal, we noticed customers couldn't find an empty table available as those weren't yet bussed and sanitized promptly. That's where the minus one star comes in. Would suggest Panera to have another employee help buss tables. Even though there's a sign on the restroom doors that the restrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly, it's not enough when I went to use it. The stall I was in was out of toilet seat covers, TP on the floor and the sink counter area was full of water and spilled soap. I'll continue to dine here because of their fresh salads and great sandwiches! read more

Ordered through the Panera app, food order was wrong with different customer name. Called Panera, employee answered and said that doordash took my order to someone else. Situation sucked all around, but if you're dropping $30 and a tip, it would be nice for Panera employees to double check orders before handing them over to doordash. Ordered online and picked it up but before leaving I checked my order to make sure everything is good as they had already messed up a couple of my previous order. I ordered a margherita pizza and chipotle chicken avocado melt. The margherita pizza only had cheese and tomatoes in it and when I complained how come there's no basil I was told that they ran out of it. Why don't they at least inform the customer and give them an option if they still want it or get something else. To make matter worst when I got home and took a bite of the sandwich right away you can tell it doesn't taste right. Instead of using chipotle chicken they put in an old grilled chicken that tasted like 2 days old already. So disgusting I could not even eat it. Probably need to report this place to food inspector it seems they're recycling their food. Although I called and spoke with the manager she offered me a full refund. I stopped in on Monday this week 12/13/21 around 1pm and was very disappointed. First of all there was one cashier a young man and a long line but no one came to help check people or take orders. I ordered a bowl of soup and he kept asking me if I wanted something else I said no thank you and he just kept asking if I wanted a pastry or something more I said no just the soup. It was annoying. Many tables were empty and not cleared off and it looked messy. When I went to pick my soup it was poured hastily in the bowl and all over the rim and Looked unappealing. The kitchen staff was loud and unprofessional. As I was leaving I noticed a girl cleaning tables and she was just wiping debris onto the floor. Management needs to review these areas of concern with staff or it will continue. read more

The food is an absolute let down. Coffee and tea is the only reason I give this location two stars instead of one. I ordered a Sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a brioche bun. It sounds delicious right? Wrong! It came out in a matter of minutes, though it seemed impressive, as soon as I took a bite, I was hit with a cold bite of sausage and egg. Staff immediately took it back and apologized. Second time around was better but the taste was so bland and unimpressive. I hear time and time again that the food at Panera isn't all that great, and I must agree. I normally swing by for a grab and go coffee. They have a self check out stand where you can just pay for your coffee cup and go. Personally, this is an awesome feature. But after placing an order for delivery, this is my last time eating at Panera! Not because of service but because of the outrageous prices! Driving through on our way home and we stopped at Panera because we love their delicious and fresh lunch items. Wish we would have read the rating first. I ordered an Asian salad and couldn't eat more than a few bites because there was an abundance of brown lettuce. Brought it to the young man who said he was the manager and he responded in an "oh well" kind of way and walked away after I told him about the lettuce color. He refused to take the salad to inspect it so I left it on the counter and walked away. We also had a pepperoni flat bread order and it was good and that's the reason for any stars at all. Worse Panera location I've been to. A couple workers treated me like trash. Let me begin this by saying the older workers there were very friendly, but this was heavily contrasted by a couple of younger workers at this location. I simply ordered one smoothie and was waiting to pick it up. After a couple minutes, I start hearing a couple workers say "Who would order this smoothie?"... and I was right behind the counter. I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but I gave them the pass there. Then, they make the smoothie, set it aside, and never call my name to pick it up. A few others that ordered after me got their food before me... Then, I get my drink and once again I overhear them say "That smoothie has been there for a long time"... which was followed by some giggles as if this is some gossip/secret that was hard to contain. The drink was already quite melted. I don't understand what happened. I didn't want to tell them to remake it because I felt uncomfortable with them remaking it (and risk them putting something in the drink). These people need to be retrained or let go. Went here for dinner, on my way from Roseville to Santa Rosa, and while the sandwich was good, it wasn't a $12 sandwich. (Turkey, bacon BLT) I liked the sandwich with the cranberry walnut bread, but hardly any turkey. The broccoli cheddar soup was very tasty, but I had ordered a large bowl and was disappointed to receive a very small portion. But it was hot and yummy. Just wished the portion size was larger. Seemed like a lot of money for a very small portion of soup. I liked the sandwich and the soup, but the soup portion was small and the sandwich lacked a decent amount of filling. Today my daughter and I went in and had two fountain drink orders with our food. As soon as we went over to the fountain machine, so many fruit flies were flying around it!! More than what I can count! There were even bugs flying around the restaurant around tables and our food. I'm sorry, today Panera just lost a customer. WRONG ORDER!!!!!!! Visited Panera tonight and ordered 1/2 green salad and 1/2 autumn squash soup. Even tasted 3 different soups prior to making a decision based on the caloric content. The bacon turkey sandwich was disappointing. First of all, if I'm going to order bacon on anything, it better be real bacon, not this wafer-thin, 1/4 inch wide pre-cooked microwavable bacon wanna-be that they slapped onto my sandwich. This is my pit stop Panera on my way from Sacramento to the Bay. Easy on/off the freeway and lots of parking. They are super efficient and fast. The employees are friendly. They are never out of items like at some other Panera locations. Their coffee is good - they have several kinds to choose from. I mix the hazelnut and the dark roast together with some cream.
