Stopped here for lunch today. It's a dimly lit restaurant. The food was excellent, well satisfied. Everything tasted homemade and was flavorful. The service was fast and easy. Will come back here again to try their other dishes.

Was looking for a Thai place while in a nearby city and found this resto while browsing through Yelp. I came at a time when I was the only customer inside since it was early. Food is good. Service is great. Server was attentive, observant, and was kind enough to show me how he made Vietnamese coffee when I was curious how it was done. He was also accommodating when he offered to have my food adjusted in the kitchen when it was not spicy enough for me. He also asked if I needed another plate, which I politely refused, when he saw me slicing all of my food into smaller pieces first before eating them. The place is festively decorated, one could see a variety and abundance of Asian decor. It has a down-to-earth yet very warm and welcoming vibe. Food ratings: Tom Yung: 4/5 Rad Nah: 4/5 It could do with a bit more broccoli in it. Spicy Egglant: 3/5 Vietnamese Coffee: 3/5

I was delightfully surprised by my visit to Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen. Service was efficient! The food came out hot and delicious. I ordered the Tom Kha and Beef Salad. Both were fresh. I would visit again.

This place was highly recommended by a friend and it did not dissappoint. Came on a Friday for lunch and was able to be seated quickly. Love that they were able to accomodate my food allergy.Waiter was awesome and always checked on us. We ordered a few items to try Lao's style papaya salad, chicken larb, boat noodle, lao sausage (my fave flavor was good and it was crispy),chicken yellow curry and sticky rice.We got medium spice and just be warned they are SPICY, if you don't like spice try mild first. Love to comeback and try otherdishes.

A friend recommended this because I was craving boat noodles, and I'm so glad she did, because now I have my go-to boat noodle fix! The interior was nice and well-kept. I love the very unique designs. Employees are attentive and nice. Our waters were always filled, frequently asking us if we needed anything, and they always had a smile on their faces. Boat Noodles was 9/10 - love everything about it, and the spiciness was just right for us, and I love the hint of sweetness, it complements the dish even more. Chicken wings 7/10 - a little bit dry, the seasoning was OK, and the sauce that came with it helped a lot! Overall, I am satisfied with the food and will come back here.

Vacaville has a solid variety of Thai food options, and this place definitely stands out. It's a great spot for a relaxed family sit-down meal, with plenty of parking and a welcoming ambiance inside. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. The soup was hearty and flavorful, and the spice levels were perfectly balanced across the dishes. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and I would definitely come back again.

This Thai Lao combo restaurant offers the usual Thai menu and Lao dish that I'm unfamiliar with. We started with the fresh spring roll appetizer, which came with our entrees. Then the pumpkin/eggplant entree but wasn't pumpkin, was squash. The chicken was scarce, barely enough for two people to have three each bite size pieces. Since we weren't familiar with Lao cuisine, I asked the server for a Lao noodle dish. He pointed to the menu on the wall and suggested tom koa poon, which tastes like a papaya salad with thin rice noodles. I expected a stir-fry noodle dish, so I learned for future to ask for more details. After this party of six left, we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. I observed two or three to-go orders during our dinner. There was only one server who bussed tables and also handled the cash register. It's surprising they sell Cafe de Monde coffee. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3.5. And I'm not sure I'd return.

Great little Thai spot. Well decorated, tables are adequately spaced apart and the soft music made for a nice relaxing lunch. It was cold and rainy out so I came for pho but enjoyed with the boat noodle soup. Medium spice was strong enough to clear my sinuses but mild enough to still taste the beef and vegetables in the soup. The server was attentive but not intrusive. 10/10 Will eat here again.

Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen is a great find in Vacaville. This place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, plenty of parking, and kind of an authentic feel. We started with the chicken satay, paired with an amazing peanut sauce. This was my favorite! The chicken tasted great and the peanut sauce is amazing! For the mains, we went with the chicken pad kee mao and beef sweet Thai basil. The pad kee mao is a little on the sweeter side but still really tasty, and the beef basil was flavorful with a little spice, lived this dish as well. Our server was friendly enjoyed the help ordering. I wouldn't mind coming back the next time im in Vacaville.

I am always looking for Lao and or Lao Thai restaurants. I am always curious to see what traditional dishes are available on the menu. While in Vacaville I discovered Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen, a little ways from the shopping center but easy to find and plenty of parking. The restaurant was decorated with traditional Thai and Lao items, which I thought was cute and has that authentic feel. We started with the chicken satay as an appetizer and for our mains we chose the chicken pad kee mao and beef sweet Thai basil. I was torn between the drunken noodles and the pad kee mao. I was warned that the pad kee mao is on the sweeter side and yes indeed it was. Savory and sweet. The beef sweet Thai basil had lots of flavor and a tad spicy. There were so many different dishes on the menu that I wanted to try and I'll save that for next time. The service was friendly and fast.

    Khao Poon!

Food: 100/10! food was incredible. Ordered Lao style papaya salad, khao poon, beef larb, boat noodle, stir fry sweet basil. Everything was flavorful and spicy! Service: 10/10, Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus, food came out super fast and we ordered a lot for 7 people :) Ambiance: 10/10. It was empty before we had got there. but it's very nice, clean and spacious. Plus, the decor highlighted the Thai/Lao culture beautifully! Overall, I think this restaurant is my favorite for Lao style food. I live in Oakland and this beats my fave thai restaurant in my city which is saying ALOT! Soo good! Will be coming back!

I had the Wagyu Ka Prow and the Bangkok Noodles w/Chicken. I eat Thai food several times a month from Las Vegas to everywhere West Coast. This is by far the BEST Thai food I've ever had, anywhere! The beef dish was bursting with flavor and the basic came through nicely. The noodle dish however, was out of this world! A blend of yellow and red curries with a generous portion of crispy chicken on top?!? The chicken has an almost sweet batter which plays well with the savory curry. It's the best thing I've had in over 5 years. It's beyond amazing! The staff were all super friendly and wonderful. I forgot to get my servers name. She's Thai and was wearing colored contact lenses. Crispy chicken fried rice - 10/10, chicken was juicy and super crispy, paired with two different sauces (1) some sort of creamy mayo aioli (2) sweet chili sauce; i personally preferred the sweet chili sauce. The rice itself was subtle, with a slight soy sauce flavor; definitely allowed the chicken to shine. Thai iced tea - 8/10, good thai tea. not too sweet, stronger on the tea side. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is decent in size (has both outside and indoor seating), and had a modern, clean look. Overall, food was delicious and would definitely come back. Tom Yum Goong is located in the back corner of the parking lot next to the Vietnamese restaurant…read more(Pho Lee Hoa Phat). We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.

We walked in and there were a few people already enjoying lunch, but plenty of open seating. We were seated right away and service got going quickly. Always a good sign. There are lunch specials, but we went à la carte because I believe if you're going out to eat, you might as well order what you actually want. We ordered seafood tom kha, chicken & shrimp pad Thai, basil beef, spicy catfish, pla pad phed (trout), and steamed rice -- all requested not spicy because my parents like flavor, not a near-death experience. The seafood tom kha was a win. Dad was impressed with the variety of seafood -- shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari, and catfish. He kept commenting on how flavorful the broth was, which in dad language is basically a Michelin star. The basil beef was new for my parents and they both loved it. The sauce had great flavor and paired perfectly with the rice. The pad Thai was good. Solid. Dependable. Not the kind that makes you dramatically pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices, but definitely tasty. Now the spicy catfish is what I personally come here for. It's fried just right -- not overly breaded, still flaky and tender inside. The sauce is always on point and full of flavor. This dish alone keeps me coming back. The pla pad phed (trout) unfortunately didn't land the same way. Because it's served filleted, it's easy to overcook, and sadly this one was. The sauce itself was great, but the fish was a bit too done. Overall, this place has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it survived the ultimate test: my parents enjoyed it too. I'll definitely keep coming back for the spicy catfish, basil beef, and their reliable pad Thai. And the service? Always friendly and attentive -- which honestly makes the experience even better.
