I have a sore throat and craving some Chicken soup! Not feeling well and wanted delivery to home. Looked at several local places on Yelp and found this place! The food came fast, the soup was Delicious! Actually the perfect soup when you feeling sick.. also when you're well! Lol. So good! I started eating it out of the container so I didn't take a picture but trust me, it's soo tasty and satisfying!! read more

100% I am coming back here again. Since visiting Thailand in 2024, I've been searching for a place that makes gra pow similar to the street vendors in Thailand. Of course, it wasn't exactly the same, but this was pretty dang close. The spice level was on point (asked for spicy and it actually was), the portion size was huge, and the food came out pretty quickly. If I had one knock, I wish the fried egg I had was a bit runny still. Overall, it's a nice homey spot that tasted authentic to me. read more

Omg! I'm blown away with this place! The food is ready, fast, packaged well, really good portion sizes, tasted so fresh, and made so perfectly traditional and exactly as described!! I was not expecting this at all! I have a local Thai restaurant I've been going to for years, but they've changed in our quality over the past year or so so my family and I decided to just try something. We've never tried before and this is what we landed on.... THIS is our new favorite Thai restaurant 100%! What you see in the picture? Is there chicken larb, mango sticky rice, sticky rice, & Thai ice tea. The picture doesn't do the size portion justice, it is well worth the price and each portion size is enough for two people or more. I'll definitely be a returning customer! (P.S. I had DoorDash this and it was so good. I felt motivated to jump over here to Yelp and write this review) read more

Was looking for a Thai place while in a nearby city and found this resto while browsing through Yelp. I came at a time when I was the only customer inside since it was early. Food is good. Service is great. Server was attentive, observant, and was kind enough to show me how he made Vietnamese coffee when I was curious how it was done. He was also accommodating when he offered to have my food adjusted in the kitchen when it was not spicy enough for me. He also asked if I needed another plate, which I politely refused, when he saw me slicing all of my food into smaller pieces first before eating them. The place is festively decorated, one could see a variety and abundance of Asian decor. It has a down-to-earth yet very warm and welcoming vibe. Food ratings: Tom Yung: 4/5 Rad Nah: 4/5 It could do with a bit more broccoli in it. Spicy Egglant: 3/5 Vietnamese Coffee: 3/5 read more

This place was highly recommended by a friend and it did not dissappoint. Came on a Friday for lunch and was able to be seated quickly. Love that they were able to accomodate my food allergy.Waiter was awesome and always checked on us. We ordered a few items to try Lao's style papaya salad, chicken larb, boat noodle, lao sausage (my fave flavor was good and it was crispy),chicken yellow curry and sticky rice.We got medium spice and just be warned they are SPICY, if you don't like spice try mild first. Love to comeback and try otherdishes. read more

BEST THAI & LAO FOOD in all of solano area. I been meaning to write a review for quite some time now. This place is my absolute favorite to come and enjoy some Bomb Thai food, that I have became a weekly regular. FOOD 5/5 : Food is very flavorful, and tasty. My favorite dishes to get are: Boat noodle soup pork with wide flat noodles. Very nostalgic, and traditional flavors. Chicken noodle soup w/wide flat noodles, ground chicken, and calamari. This is another favorite soup of mines. If you enjoy clear broth. Very comforting, and my absolute favorite. Papaya Salad Lao style- I really appreciate that the owner takes their time to hand chop the papaya (the traditional way) instead of shredding it. Its nice and crunchy. Full of "sam rot" (sour, sweet salty) and of course spicy. Garlic Pork Ribs - nice mini ribs with a tangy dipping sauce. Khao mun gai- hainan style chicken. Delicious with their house made sauce. Literally one of the best sauces around. Larb- very fresh salad. Love the flavor, and smell. Lots of herbs. Sooo many other other yummy dishes, but those are my most favorite. They are are the spicier side so I do recommend ordering medium or mild. SERVICE: 5/5 Very friendly staff and owner. All Hard working, and keeps busy. Always attentive, and great about refilling water. Love having small conversations with them all. ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 very Spacious. Good for dine in & big parties. Cozy darker lighting with nice creative Thai decor. Highly recommend! You're in for a treat. read more

The crisp clean ingredients and yummy salad sauce brought me right back to living in Bangkok! The flavors and quality of ingredients are spot on and the pricing is decent compared to other nearby thai restaurants. Minimal wait time & a variety of options. I will definitely be back :) Ordered Larb gai, pad thai & papaya salad 10/10 read more

Sorry for the lack of photos with this review - I ordered while in a feverish stupor last night and honestly couldn't think straight enough to document the meal. I went with their Seafood Drunken Noodles (mild spice) and Thai Tea through DoorDash. First, the positives: the flavors were genuinely excellent. The noodles had that perfect balance of basil, garlic and mild heat that makes drunken noodles so satisfying. The seafood included three substantial pieces of fish, one lonely shrimp, and plenty of squid pieces (about 2 inches each, cut to match the noodle width). The spice level was spot-on for "mild" - enough heat to notice without overwhelming. And the Thai tea? Absolute perfection - 10/10, could not be improved. Now for the disappointing part: the portion size for $26 was genuinely underwhelming. The container was tiny - think meal prep size, maybe 5×7 at most, with about a quarter dedicated to a small side salad/vegetables. The taste was there, but I definitely felt a bit robbed on value. That said, I'm realistic about today's economy. Food costs are skyrocketing, and small businesses are getting squeezed from every angle. My takeaway lesson: eat AT THE RESTAURANT rather than ordering delivery. You'll not only get a better sense of portion sizes, but you'll experience the full vibe of the place and build a relationship with a local business. The taste was definitely there at Bhan Tai Lao - I just wish there had been more of it! I'll be checking out the actual restaurant next time instead of ordering in. read more

A friend recommended this because I was craving boat noodles, and I'm so glad she did, because now I have my go-to boat noodle fix! The interior was nice and well-kept. I love the very unique designs. Employees are attentive and nice. Our waters were always filled, frequently asking us if we needed anything, and they always had a smile on their faces. Boat Noodles was 9/10 - love everything about it, and the spiciness was just right for us, and I love the hint of sweetness, it complements the dish even more. Chicken wings 7/10 - a little bit dry, the seasoning was OK, and the sauce that came with it helped a lot! Overall, I am satisfied with the food and will come back here. read more

Food is delicious. Ambiance and service, not so great. Their super loud phone ring tone kept going off at the table next to us. We ordered soup and an appetizer as well as two entrees. Entrees came out and no sign of soup or app so figured they may have forgotten. After we were done eating our entrees, out comes the soup..? And app would be on the way..? No thanks. They seem to cater to food delivery pick up, not so much for dine in. Don't think I'll be back unfortunately. read more

Great Pad Thai and the Som Tum (papaya salad) Thai style, was amazing. They'll inspect as heck if you ask them.

Excellent food! Fair price. Portion on the small side. Great service! Menu has many selections. Thai tea and beer priced high.

Vacaville has a solid variety of Thai food options, and this place definitely stands out. It's a great spot for a relaxed family sit-down meal, with plenty of parking and a welcoming ambiance inside. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. The soup was hearty and flavorful, and the spice levels were perfectly balanced across the dishes. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and I would definitely come back again. read more

pad thai was very good and wait staff very professional prices were reasonable as well

This Thai Lao combo restaurant offers the usual Thai menu and Lao dish that I'm unfamiliar with. We started with the fresh spring roll appetizer, which came with our entrees. Then the pumpkin/eggplant entree but wasn't pumpkin, was squash. The chicken was scarce, barely enough for two people to have three each bite size pieces. Since we weren't familiar with Lao cuisine, I asked the server for a Lao noodle dish. He pointed to the menu on the wall and suggested tom koa poon, which tastes like a papaya salad with thin rice noodles. I expected a stir-fry noodle dish, so I learned for future to ask for more details. After this party of six left, we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. I observed two or three to-go orders during our dinner. There was only one server who bussed tables and also handled the cash register. It's surprising they sell Cafe de Monde coffee. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3.5. And I'm not sure I'd return. read more

Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen is a great find in Vacaville. This place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, plenty of parking, and kind of an authentic feel. We started with the chicken satay, paired with an amazing peanut sauce. This was my favorite! The chicken tasted great and the peanut sauce is amazing! For the mains, we went with the chicken pad kee mao and beef sweet Thai basil. The pad kee mao is a little on the sweeter side but still really tasty, and the beef basil was flavorful with a little spice, lived this dish as well. Our server was friendly enjoyed the help ordering. I wouldn't mind coming back the next time im in Vacaville. read more

I am always looking for Lao and or Lao Thai restaurants. I am always curious to see what traditional dishes are available on the menu. While in Vacaville I discovered Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen, a little ways from the shopping center but easy to find and plenty of parking. The restaurant was decorated with traditional Thai and Lao items, which I thought was cute and has that authentic feel. We started with the chicken satay as an appetizer and for our mains we chose the chicken pad kee mao and beef sweet Thai basil. I was torn between the drunken noodles and the pad kee mao. I was warned that the pad kee mao is on the sweeter side and yes indeed it was. Savory and sweet. The beef sweet Thai basil had lots of flavor and a tad spicy. There were so many different dishes on the menu that I wanted to try and I'll save that for next time. The service was friendly and fast. read more

Great little Thai spot. Well decorated, tables are adequately spaced apart and the soft music made for a nice relaxing lunch. It was cold and rainy out so I came for pho but enjoyed with the boat noodle soup. Medium spice was strong enough to clear my sinuses but mild enough to still taste the beef and vegetables in the soup. The server was attentive but not intrusive. 10/10 Will eat here again. read more

We ordered so many items it was a blur. I know we got 2 tom yum with chicken which were pretty good- not as spicy as I prefer. There was a beef noodle soup that wasn't pho, but came close to it in flavor, which was my favorite- tied with the beef salad. The vegetable tempura was great for the toddler at the table. We also ordered a pad Thai which was good. The beef salad was also outstanding- it had a nice spicy kick but even the weaker ones in our party devoured it... just with a LOT of water, haha. We were in a big hurry or I would've ordered more variety. Serving sizes were perfect. Service was outstanding and parking plentiful. Great stop on our way home from Tahoe. Will bookmark for future trips! read more

MAR2024 Ordered food for pickup. Everything was done quickly. The restaurant is in a small shopping area so there weren't any issues finding parking and the such. I had ordered the veggie soup with tofu, Beverly Thai mixed vegetables, and the cucumber salad. The mixed vegetables were cooked well, but the sauce didn't really pop for me. It had good flavor but wasn't cooked throughout the dish. The veggie soup also a little plain, but the broth tasted really clean. I was dealing with a cold at the time so this help tremendously. My favorite though was the cucumber salad. I really liked the sauce with peanuts in it. It made for a nice contrast and difference in texture in the bites. read more

Small parking lot shared with another restaurant, nail salon and hair salon, but there is a rear parking lot. Staff was very friendly and attentive. There is a decent amount of seating with some nice Thai decor. Food: 1. Gra Prow with Beef lunch special (medium spicy): good flavor, but slightly sweet. They use ground beef instead of sliced beef and I didn't not taste any basil that is usually in this dish. I got it medium spicy, but I didn't find it spicy at all. 2. Pad Thai: good flavor, but my wife thought it was a little too sweet. Both dishes were decent overall and were enhanced with some of the chili sauces they provided. Portions were decent and we were able to take about 1/2 the Pad Thai home. Overall, a decent place to have some Thai and Laotian food. read more

I was invited to a birthday dinner at Bhan Thai Lao Kitchen. I wasnt sure what to expect as I walked into a pretty outdated restaurant. One of the ladies in our party ordered favorites. The food was really good. The ones that were 3/5 in heat had my mouth on fire! The mild dishes were just right. For someone who usually likes my food spicy, I was surprised at how intense the spice was. I will admit my tolerance on spice has gone down as I've aged. The servers and busers were very nice and attentive. I would come back when I'm in Vacaville again. read more

My hubby and I wanted something light and ventured here on a Sunday evening. We ordered the veggie fried eggroll, papaya salad and I had a small bowl of Tom Yung Goong and my hubby had a small bowl of Tom Kha. Veggie fried eggroll was flavorful and the sauce it came with complimented it. The papaya salad was delicious. I got it mild and it was a perfect blend of flavors. It had a little sweetness, savory and the umami flavor. It was a burst of flavor. My soup was just what I was looking for. It had the right amount of salt, sour and flavors from the lemongrass, mushrooms and chicken. The service was very friendly. They made sure our glasses of water were always filled. The price for the food was reasonable. My husband enjoyed his bowl of soup. His had the coconut milk in it. He said that it was very flavorful. We will definitely be back to try other dishes with the family. read more

I've been craving Thai ever since moving from San Diego, and I think I finally found a place to cure my craving. Walking in, the place was decorated and Thai music was playing. Service was quick and efficient. The boat noodle and pad Thai are very good, and so the papaya salad (mild) was fire (in both sense). The boat noodle was ordered with medium spice level, but it wasn't spicy at all for me. The papaya salad was ordered mild, and it had a kick. i wish they would put a little chili pepper picture next to foods that are spicy. I ordered a noodle soup not realizing it was spicy. I couldn't finish it not to mention enjoy it. Ice tea, not Thai tea or anything like that, ice tea is not free refills. Parking layout sucks. read more

Finding a spot like Bahn Thai Lao Kitchen in Vacaville feels like stumbling across a hidden gem. We ordered the Lemon Chicken, Tom Kha with Shrimp, and Panang Beef Curry, and honestly, it was some of the most authentic flavors I've had outside of the Bay Area. Nothing felt watered down or catered to the bland palates of the masses, and I hope it stays that way. The Lemon Chicken had the perfect crispy texture with a tangy sauce that wasn't too sweet, just balanced perfection. The Tom Kha was everything you want it to be...creamy, tangy, and full of layers of flavor, with shrimp cooked just right (not that sad, rubbery kind some places serve). The Panang Beef Curry was rich, aromatic, and packed with spice and tender beef. Every bite reminded me why I love Thai and Lao cuisine...it's unapologetic and bold. But let me be real: my one fear is that the Vacaville crowd might eventually convince them to "adjust" the flavors to suit milder tastes. I'm not trying to wake up one day and find out they've turned the Panang Curry into a tomato bisque or that the Tom Kha's tang has been smoothed out for "approachability." Let's not ruin a good thing, people. If you're craving food that's authentic, flavorful, and made with care, Bahn Thai Lao Kitchen is it. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain restaurants, this is where you need to be. Let's support it so it sticks around because we don't need another place serving "sweet and sour" everything to play it safe. read more

My fiance found this place on Yelp and told me this is a new restaurant. We walked in and had lower expectations since the Thai food around this part is not to our liking. We ordered 3 different dishes and started eating. My fiance ate the boat noodles and said "This is the best boat noodles soup I've had." (He loves boat noodles soup and we've tried places from Woodland, Sac, SF, San Jose and everytime we go to a Thai spot) I tried it since I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth, but he wasn't lying. It is super good! My dish the kra pow was insanely good too! (I do the same thing with kra pow like my fiance with boat noodles soup) I just went to Bangkok a month ago so I wasn't expecting it to be as good, but this spot is the closest I've tried to authentic Thai food! We loved the paintings on the wall around the restaurant and the manager was such a lovely lady that we got to know her a little more. We will definitely come back sooner than later! read more

We came here for lunch and had a nice time.. the staff was kind, it was very clean inside... I ordered the red curry and the veggie rolls... the veggie rolls were definitely the best I have had in Vacaville, crunchy and flavorful... The salad was better than I expected... it's just a bunch of boring lettuce but the dressing is delicious! Totally made it amazing. The red curry was good, it didn't have a lot of depth to the flavors it was just ok. The lunch serving size was fair.. overall it was good and I will try it again. read more
