Noticed the new menu, super cute! The Bbq pork was very good. I tried their new lunch specials as well, it was so good! Looking forward to coming back!

Barbecue Chicken

I'm craving for hot soup and vegetable rolls. Then we saw this small restaurant. We want to give it a try. We didn't wait that long for a table. We were greeted by this nice lady. We ordered chicken barbecue, vegetable rolls and vegan soup called Tom Yum Goong Soup. The soup was delicious and just enough for one person. Chicken barbecue is very tasty. I would love to order this again when I come back here. Vegetable rolls with peanut butter dressing and combination of sweet sauce. This was also the best I have here. Very quiet place.

Papaya Salad

Such a delightful meal! 1. Curry Puff: truly a favorite! The pastry crust was flaky. The chicken curry filling was generous. These were tasty enough that it did not require the dipping sauce. 2. Papaya Salad: really fresh ingredients. We probably finished this plate first LOL 3. Drunken Noodles: so yummy? Thick rice noodles were soft. Tender strips of beef were nicely seasoned. 4. Sticky Rice with Mango: absolutely perfect! Loved the coconut milk all over YUM! 5. Thai tea was refreshing. Free with Yelp check in ;)

Chicken with basil and vegetables

Ordered several dishes for delivery and everything arrived well packed, hot and without issues. Portions were great for the price and I was also pleased that each dish had a good portion of meat and vegetables. The taste was excellent as well. It was my first time trying this Thai restaurant in town and it didn't disappoint. The basil fried rice was wonderful along with the yellow curry. Just an all around solid Thai food spot.

We ordered food for delivery twice. The Panang curry is delicious and spicy! Pot stickers are good but are too hard most times especially the next day. The beef and broccoli in oyster sauce doesn't have much flavor. Hubbie says the yellow curry is good but lacks the (pepper) heat of panang. Overall good food. We plan to order again.

Mango Sticky Rice So good!! Just the right sweetness and texture.

So good and consistently tasty anytime I order. My go to curry is green curry with chicken. Love all the veggies and meat, perfect ratio. And when I have dined in. The service is great.

Papaya salad! I paid 14$ for this serving! It should be called tomato salad cause there is more tomatoes than anything else.
Maria P.

Portion not worth the $14 I paid. More tomatoes than anything else think I found one green bean end!

Pad Kee Mao meeeeow!

La la love ! We were driving back from San Francisco and decided to stop by this shopping center to use the ATM machine . I was running on very little sleep and only had a cup of coffee throughout the day so we decided to come here for dinner . Upon walking in , we were greeted by a very friendly server . I didn't catch his name , but he was quick and very attentive ! We started out with the fresh rolls and those were huge ! They were very filling, I just wish they provided more peanut sauce for those big rolls. I like how their peanut sauce has a hint of red curry in it, it made it unique . We then shared an order of drunken noodles and papaya salad , medium spicy for both . Both dishes were very flavorful and delicious . Medium was the perfect amount of spice for us . When I complimented the server, he told me that the chef was dining at the table next to us so I was able to have a conversation with her for a bit. She was super friendly ! I highly recommend this joint and loved everything about it :)

Popped in here today, for the first time, to have lunch and was immediately greeted with a cheery "Hello". After ordering #22 Garlic Pepper Pork I thought I needed to order rice, if I wanted some, but to my pleasure was told it's included with the lunch entree. Additionally ordered Pot Stickers (that were also included with lunch) and Thai Iced Tea. The menu description of the Garlic Pepper Pork read "Sautéed Garlic and pepper on a leaf of lettuce"... as far as I could tell, there was no garlic, pepper or lettuce on my plate. I enjoyed the pork dish I was served that had broccoli, cabbage, green beans and carrots but I don't think it's what I ordered. What to do? I didn't complain and took half of my lunch home in a to-go box. I liked this place and my meal was tasty. Server was very nice and efficient. I will come back but may have a little more discussion about my expectations with the server in the future. And next time I'll use the "1 Free Thai Ice Tea" check in that I missed this time!

The alligator meat was soft and not chewy or dry and "tastes like chicken." You literally cannot tell the difference by look and taste. Texturally, the meat has a slightly more chew to it than chicken, but other than that 99%+ people would not know the difference. Other dishes we had were: Pad See You (beef), Mango Curry, Tom Kha Soup, Eggplant S'il Vous Plait and Papaya Salad. Everything was delicious! Service: Great! Waitress was very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and refill our water without asking. She also came by when it was the last call before the kitchen closed to see if we wanted to order other dishes or desserts. The prices have gone up some from their old menu, but the portions have also gotten bigger. The portions were generous, everything came out looking beautiful, and you could tell the food was made with care. This is definitely a place I would come back to and recommend to anyone looking for flavorful, satisfying food. Great food, generous portions, and a really enjoyable dining experience. The place serves authentic Thai dishes and it is best to share family style if you come with several people so that you can experience more dishes. Started with a Sake "Mohito". It was very good. Mild flavor and not crazy strong. I nursed it throughout my entire meal. The Fresh Spring Rolls were as the name advertised. Vegetarian with tofu inside. Interesting thing is that it was served with two sauces, but the traditional peanut sauce but also a Thai Sweet Chili sauce. I decided to combine both sauces onto my Spring Rolls. Surprisingly, the two sauces complemented each other pretty well. The Yellow Curry was smooth and thick (not watery like some places). Rich is flavor. I can probably just eat some plain rice with just the curry sauce and I would be happy. It's that good. The Crispy Chicken with Ginger Rice was a crowd favorite as well. The chicken itself was solid but pretty standard. The ginger rice added a unique flavor to the dish. I've never had ginger rice at a restaurant before. We also had a stir fry dish that was composed of asparagus and a protein of your choice. We chose chicken. It was also solid but not as unique as the other two entrees we had. Still same cute modern interior. It was VERY busy on a Saturday evening so service may be a bit slower. But the food was great and staff was very friendly.

We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.

Come early or you'll likely not get to have what you're eyeing on. When: Saturday dinner at 5pm (came when they were opening door) What: Chicken satay, pork satay, beef satay, seafood laksa, hainanese chicken rice, fried spring roll Experience: Superb food!! It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! Looking forward to their opening at their next location!

(I also paid using the online services, but I did see someone paying in person.) I was drawn to Bazar Eatery when I saw they had Laksa; I ordered the Seafood Laksa. Ever since I had it in Singapore, I've been hoping to find somewhere that serves this soup. It was nice to find somewhere that serves it, but it doesn't compare to the flavor of the laksa I had in Singapore. (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.
