    Well-lit interior.

Came here past 5:00 PM on a Friday afternoon. A few customers were already seated even when they just opened at 5:00 P.M. The place is clean and well-lit. The lady server who greeted me had a smiling and welcoming face. There was a bit of a wait after I ordered 2 items on the menu. Food was just okay. The large servings made up for the average flavors of what I ordered: Pad Eggplant - 3/5 I like how they were not stingy with the meat that they put in this order. Green curry - 3/5 It was just okay. One thing I noticed: the server never changed the black gloves she wore whether she was bringing in fresh food from the kitchen to a customer's table or after she gathered up dirty dishes from the customers' tables. When it was time to give me containers for the food I couldn't finish, she was using the same gloves to hold onto the plastic containers as well as holding the inside of my carton container that was supposedly for my leftover rice. I decided not to take the rice anymore because of the contaminated container. Maybe management can do further staff training regarding food handling and hygiene. I would still encourage others to try this place.

    Drunken Noodles

While I want to start by saying the food itself was excellent--the drunken noodles were flavorful with fresh basil, and the pot stickers were delicious--I was disappointed by the level of customer service I received. When placing my order online, I utilized the provided option to request modifications. I specifically requested that the mango be omitted from the fresh rolls due to an allergy. However, the restaurant called to inform me that the rolls were pre-made and could not be modified. This was concerning, as it implies the food is not being prepared fresh to order. When I explained my allergy and requested to swap the fresh rolls for pot stickers, the staff initially refused, citing a $1 price difference. While I fully understand the need to pay for the items I receive, it was frustrating to have to negotiate this exchange after the restaurant's own online ordering system accepted a request they were unable to fulfill. In a situation involving a food allergy, I would have expected a more accommodating and professional resolution rather than a debate over a nominal fee. My options were take mango or pay more. The restaurant has a wonderful, well-designed atmosphere, and the quality of the food is high. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I would love to return if the customer service process is improved to better support guest needs and safety.

I was in search for the best drunken noodles in Fairfield and the 4.7 rating and all the reviews lead me right into the door. I ordered to go, but I will definitely sit in after this experience, because I'm 100% coming back. The outside is unassuming and the signage isn't very noticeable, but when you step inside of this tiny hole in the wall it's bright, clean, and well decorated. I was greeted with a friendly smile, and the lady behind the register made friendly conversation and was very pleasant to interact with. I ordered potstickers, spicy basil chicken, garlic fried rice, & drunken noodles. The filling inside the potstickers is savory and spicy with an ample amount of filling they were a 5/5 for me. The drunken noods were almost perfect, but the spice level was mild in comparison to most, though it had the best flavor of any I've had in the surrounding area, this is definitely a 4.8/5. The garlic fried rice was packing a punch of flavor and the rice was cooked and fried to perfection, and is served in a large portion, this is a 4.5/5 for me, as I felt it could use more egg. The spicy basil chicken was so flavorful, the basil was fresh. And the chicken was tender and juicy. I felt the green beans could have been more firm, but aside from them being on the soft side, the flavor was great! I give this a 4.8/5. Overall I give this delectable hole in the walla 4.7/5

Pikul Thai Bistro is a hidden gem. The food here is delicious. We ordered Spicy basil beef, lemon chicken and fried rice and papaya salad. Everything was delicious and tasty. The food came quickly after we ordered. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant gets pretty busy and seating can be limited.

When we stumbled upon this cozy gem, it was a rainy night on the night of our child's first birthday. We were greeted immediately upon entrance by a friendly face and ushered to a table with a high chair in tow. The menu was fairly priced and with great selection, and very soon after making our selections the food was delivered. That night I had some of the best pork broth I've ever tasted. It was flavorful and not overly seasoned--infusing the rest of the ingredients. Throughout our meal the waiting staff was attentive and kind, and even surprised us with a desert for the baby with a makeshift candle. They made what could have been an ordinary night into a one we will never forget. This is what five stars is all about.

    Pad thai. Was OK.

I really enjoyed this spot and will be back if im in the area. Pad Thai: Was a little soupy and the noodles were like pho noodles, so it threw me off a little. it tasted great, but was not "traditional". 8/10 Papaya salad: probably the best papaya salad ive had since thailand. so flavorful and would have gotten a 10 if it had dried shrimp. must try. 9/10 Garlic Catfish: This was the star of the show. Really delicious flavor, perfectly balanced, and went really well with white rice to sop up the sauce. I could eat 10 plates of this. 10/10 Service was friendly but had to flag them a few times. Ambiance is typical sit-down Thai spot, not fancy but clean.

We don't come up to this area often, and when we do, it's usually just to stop by the furniture outlets in Vacaville. Last time we were here, we were craving Thai food and ended up trying Buddha Thai based on all the Yelp hype. Honestly, it was underwhelming. So this time around, we still had Thai on our minds and decided to try a different restaurant, Pikul Thai Bistro. The food here was much better. We started with the papaya salad. Portions are generous, and it was packed with flavor. If they had added dried shrimp, which some places do, this could've easily been the best papaya salad I've ever had. Next, we ordered a dish from their specials menu: fried catfish with garlic sauce. It came with green beans and some mixed veggies. The fish was cooked well and had great flavor, though it was a little heavy on the sauce. It also came with a side salad that we didn't really care for, but the main dish itself was solid. We also tried the chicken pad Thai and asked for it extra saucy. They definitely delivered on that. At first, it felt like too much sauce, but after sitting for a bit, the noodles soaked it up and it was actually more flavorful as leftovers. That said, it wasn't my favorite pad Thai. It leaned a bit sweet, and they used pho style noodles, which tend to clump up during stir frying. I prefer the traditional pad Thai noodles that are slightly wider and hold up better. Also not a fan of how they mixed the bean sprouts in during the stir fry. That made them soggy. Most Thai spots leave the bean sprouts on the side so they keep some crunch. Service was friendly. Our server was new and didn't have all the answers to our questions but was polite and made the effort to go check with the kitchen. Overall, this was a much better Thai food experience in the area compared to our last visit. It's not perfect, but we'd definitely come back if we're in the neighborhood again.

I can't enough about visiting this restaurant. The people are so kind and friendly. I usually get the same thing when I come, so most times I don't venture to other areas to often. Today, I tried the Shrimp Appetizer and the BBQ Chicken as new to me dishes. The shrimp was crunchy and tasty with a sauce. The BBQ Chicken on a bed of cabbage and carrots was so delightful! It had the best taste of chicken I've tasted in a long time. It was super tender, juicy and flavorful. I knew it must be marinated for a few days. Their Yellow Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice are always good. The place is always clean and I am greeted when I visit. I like it here and always look to return. Thank you

The sunset view is also pretty good!

We got the crab fried rice with skrimp, the yellow curry and spicy wings. Everything was sooo good!! The Thai iced tea was yummy, as well. The reason we can't give it a 5 is because they were not able to accommodate/customize the fried rice by adding a meat we desired to have with it. The service pace was also not the best, but they were busy and the server was kind so we understood. Overall, this was a great experience. PS portions are 10/10. We'll definitely be back! Picture shows the sunset view (no food pictures; we dove in)

    Fried Crispy Calamari

Came here during a weekday lunch and they had plenty of seats available. Service was great and food came out fast! Everything we had was so good. *I really enjoyed the catfish pad ped because that isn't commonly seen at other Thai restaurants. I ordered medium spicy and it had my mouth tingling, but in a good way. Tons of cat fish pieces! I also appreciate their method of preparing this dish to retain that crispy texture of the catfish. *Calamari was fried to perfection as it was not chewy. It also had a meatier bite, so they cut their calamari on the thicker side, which I appreciate.--don't like biting into a bunch of batter. *Pad Thai was good, but I wish there was more tamarind flavor. Noodles were nice and al dente. *Tom yum was cooked how it should be--herb forward. You can really taste the lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves. It's what makes this soup unique. Looking forward to returning and trying their other dishes!

    Lemon Chicken Appetizer

I stopped here for a quick lunch. It was nice and tidy inside, server was very sweet, and their lemon chicken appetizer was pretty good! Definitely came with enough chicken to share with 2-4 people. I saved the rest for my husband. I will say, the lemon sauce was honey mustard based, and I wish there was a little more lemon flavor, or maybe even a lemon on the side. The chicken was crispy and very good! I definitely would like to come back here and have their real entrees, along with their springrolls with peanut sauce.

First time here. We were greeted and seated right away. Host/server was very nice and quick to take our order. Food came out at the right amount of time. I enjoyed my lemongrass fried chicken and the shrimp fried rice was okay. I didn't really like the pad Thai. My husband did enjoy his appetizers but preferred the potstickers more than the fresh rolls. Price was fairly reasonable and we still had plenty of leftovers to take to go. As far as parking, it's located in a plaza so finding parking was easy. Also, the restaurant is very clean and spacious.

I've passed this place so many times and never gave it a try and I'm so upset I didn't until now. This place is amazing. Probably one of the top Thai places I've had, and I've been to many. The service was great, the place was super cute and clean, and my food was amazing! I ordered to go but I'll be coming back again to try the dine in experience. Go give them a try!

I drove a bit (from Vacaville) and glad I did. They are always so nice and greet all their customers. Even the ones that pick up. We ordered their fried chicken dish and they waited to finish it off so it wouldn't be soggy when we were ready to eat. That was thoughtful of them! Everything else was on hit - Pad Thai - combination: Piping hot and ready to be devoured. Was portioned to feed 2 people (but feed 3), even amounts of shrimp, chicken and sprinkled peanuts and tofu to round out the proteins. Bangkok Chicken Wings: Nicely seasoned and fried crispy. I loved that they waited to fry to service when we got there. It's the little things #score This is our go to Thai restaurant because the food is extremely flavorful and the service is top notch!

We walked in and there were a few people already enjoying lunch, but plenty of open seating. We were seated right away and service got going quickly. Always a good sign. There are lunch specials, but we went à la carte because I believe if you're going out to eat, you might as well order what you actually want. We ordered seafood tom kha, chicken & shrimp pad Thai, basil beef, spicy catfish, pla pad phed (trout), and steamed rice -- all requested not spicy because my parents like flavor, not a near-death experience. The seafood tom kha was a win. Dad was impressed with the variety of seafood -- shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari, and catfish. He kept commenting on how flavorful the broth was, which in dad language is basically a Michelin star. The basil beef was new for my parents and they both loved it. The sauce had great flavor and paired perfectly with the rice. The pad Thai was good. Solid. Dependable. Not the kind that makes you dramatically pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices, but definitely tasty. Now the spicy catfish is what I personally come here for. It's fried just right -- not overly breaded, still flaky and tender inside. The sauce is always on point and full of flavor. This dish alone keeps me coming back. The pla pad phed (trout) unfortunately didn't land the same way. Because it's served filleted, it's easy to overcook, and sadly this one was. The sauce itself was great, but the fish was a bit too done. Overall, this place has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it survived the ultimate test: my parents enjoyed it too. I'll definitely keep coming back for the spicy catfish, basil beef, and their reliable pad Thai. And the service? Always friendly and attentive -- which honestly makes the experience even better.
