    Crispy Chicken Fried Rice

Nice size portions! Chicken was white meat and very flavorful and moist. Very busy at lunch on a weekday.

Consistently good. I tried a new eggplant dish and it was amazing - in the chef specials -Purple Flame Stir fry. Husband got some seafood pot (called, maybe, seafood vermicelli) - I tried one of the calamari and it was cooked perfectly. We got our usual SPICY BEEF SALAD. Love how they balance the sauce just perfectly and the beef is so tender. Sides of brown rice. Too full for dessert but one of these days I am ordering the mango sticky rice. BTW - the server asked us about allergies before taking our order (yay!) and another bonus the two gender neutral bathrooms were very clean.

Zero wait time on a Sunday?! (Man I'm getting good at this -- seems like these days I am lucky enough to miss the wait time!) Got here at 2PM and the restaurant was pretty packed but everyone was just about finishing up. They had a kiosk at the front and as I was signing into it we got sat at a table. The staff was very friendly, and attentive. Loved the simplicity of the restaurant but also its little charm and attention to detail. All the servers wore these beautiful uniforms. There was a small empty bar and a cooking show on the television. Food was really good. I did look through the menus a little but I already knew I'd want the Pad Thai and yellow curry (add chicken) upon arriving. My friends joined us and we also shared the crispy chicken fried rice and the cashew nut (add chicken). Great portions for sharing with even some to take home. Loved the tin water cups and the presentation of some of the foods. My favorite part was watching how management took care of their staff. At 3PM when the restaurant was closing for lunch the kitchen cooked up a bunch of food for the staff to gather around and eat once the guest left. Way to take care of the team!

My sibling was in Vacaville and I thought maybe she could buy takeout for dinner. Looked up the category of Thai and this restaurant appeared with high ratings. Instead of ordering by phone, I ordered using the online method instead. I normally do not give out 3 stars but the food was just not there for me, takeout wise. 2 out of 3 items I ordered was sweet even though one of the food was supposed to be sour. Let's break it down: Tom Yum Seafood, spicy level. I normally do not buy this cause I can make this at home but I thought, why not. I was craving for soup. It came in a plastic container to hold the soup and the noodles were in a Chinese takeout box. Note to self, always microwave the noodles first before putting it in broth. Anyways, as I took a sip of the broth, it was sweet and not sour. I added in chili oil and siracha but it was still sweet. I thought something must be wrong with my tastebuds so I had my sister and my partner tasted and they both agreed it was sweet! My partner is mixed with Thai blood so he knows a good Tom Yum and this was not it. I did not finish the rest cause I know the next day it won't be as good due to the noodles soaking into the broth. Pad Thai, Thai Spicy. As I opened the box, the color of the Pad Thai was off cause it looked like it was not covered in peanut sauce all the way. As I continue to mix from one corner to the next, that was when I noticed the sauce. I got excited cause I like Pad Thai! They did not hold back on the spice! However, taste wise, again, it was sweet?! XD Lol! I was not sure what was going on so I took a bite from the Pad See You and that was probably the best dish out of the 3 I ordered. Pad See You, Thai Spicy with duck (+$6 charge) and mushrooms (+2). I hope to at least get more mushrooms but they were skimpy on the mushrooms...the flavor on this was savory , soy sauce-y, and spicy. Def better and overall a winning dish. Since I ordered for takeout, I was not able to experience dinning in and soaking in the ambiance but from the photos, looks like a nice place to dine. Overall, i wouldnt give this place 3 stars but more like 3.8?? Portions are huge so that's a plus. But as for the 2 dishes, it was just sweet in my opinion.

Vegetarian - Mango curry (vegan) with soft tofu. Beautiful dish and just as delicious

*** Vegetarian Review *** This is my return trip and the reason it's important to give restaurants a second change, especially if you see possibility. If I would have given this place a review on my first visit, it would have earned a 3-star for its vegetarian tofu pad see you. 5-star portion size and 5-star service, but the flavor was lackluster and bland, most likely because there was limited sauce. I wasn't planning on returning, but more and more people kept saying to give this place another chance. So I'm very happy to report that I will be one of those people that say "give this place another chance." Comparisons. If you like the curries and cashew nut dishes at Coconut on T in Sacramento, you'll be equally pleased here. Tips for first timers: 1. Plenty of free parking 2. They can make almost every dish vegetarian. Not sure about vegan. 3. Portion sizes are very generous. 4. If you can handle a little spice, medium is not over-the-top. Cashew Nut / no fish sauce ($17.95, Grade A) - Sautéed cashew nuts with stir fried tofu, onions, carrots, and roasted chiles. This is a super savory dish. You get a cashew in every spoonful. Mango Curry / no fish sauce ($22.95, Grade A+) - Homemade mango curry with coconut milk, soft tofu, green bean, potato, yellow onion, and of course fresh mango. As you can see from the photo, they use mango slices to form a cute heart-shaped curry swimming pool to contain all of the curry sauce and veggies. I can imagine this is a popular dish on Valentines. And one of the best parts about this, I was planning on ordering a mango sticky rice for dessert, but this dish totally takes care of that mango craving. Bottom Line: The service is very friendly and attentive. The portion sizes are generous - enough to share for 3 average-hungry people. They play bossa nova pop songs. I had my Shazam on while I ate so I could grab that playlist. I'm glad I returned and I'll be back before Valentines.

We are here after my vaccine appointment at Sutter Walk-in-Care. I love Thai food. The food was good for the most part, except the beef in the pad Thai was chewy. Also, the service was kind of slow. I would come here again, just not Order beef. It was also during lunch hour on a weekend.

Yellow Curry & Chicken Skewers with a side of white rice!
    Vanessa A.

Ordered the chicken satay, yellow curry, and a side of rice. The meat in both dishes was tender and moist! Both dishes were flavorful and satisfied my Thai food cravings. The place was spacious with an industrial vibe. The waiter was attentive/welcoming. Rated this 4 stars because I felt that the portions were skimpy for the price.

Buddha Thai serves up some pretty yummy flavorful and huge portioned Thai food in a spacious dining room. Location is in a big plaza with ample free parking. Some food faves: -crispy chicken with fried rice -pad see ew -peanut curry -eggplant chicken -pineapple fried rice They have more vegan curry options than other Thai places and hubz appreciates that. The servers are usually nice and prompt but we came with a big party on Father's Day and they were a bit flustered because it was super busy. We ended missing some items and getting double of others. Overall it worked out- Thai leftovers are always welcome. I'd recommend they increase the AC on hot days because you can really feel the heat near the window.

Some of the best thai food and the portions are huge! Highly recommend checking this place out. The udon drunken noodle dish is the best as is the BBQ pork.

    Yellow Curry
    Marsha W.

When I order yellow curry my favorite part is the potatoes. The potatoes in this dish were unfortunately disappointing. They were not seasoned and tasted as though they were just throw in the dish at the last minute. They really reminded me of unseasoned red breakfast potatoes. I got this item to go or else I would've inquired on if this was their norm. I also got the thai tea. It was amazing. The customer service was okay and the ambiance is nice, very spacious.

I saw so many good reviews for this place so I thought I'd try it after visiting Dixon for the world's largest corn maze since it was close by. I went with 3 other people. The place has an elevated modern vibe. There is a good amount of seating. The locations in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. I ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer. It came with sweet chili dipping sauce and peanut sauce. The inside was wrapped with vermicelli noodles, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, and carrots. The rolls are very simple but delicious! My friend got the duck tacos. I didn't taste them but they looked good. I ordered a stir fried eggplant dish with chili sauce with basil peppers, onions, and shrimp. You get your choice of protein and I chose chicken. I love eggplant dishes and this one did not disappoint. There was a basil flavor and the ingredients were sautéed in light sauce which was not too much but there was lots of flavor. My boyfriend ordered the green curry which included multiple vegetables including eggplant, green beans, bell pepper, and basil with your choose of protein. Rice is not included with the dishes and is an extra charge. The portions for every main dish were very large and the table could barely fit the large plates! One of the people I was dining with orders a beef noodle soup which was a big portion also. I guarantee you will have a lot of leftovers to take home! The curry had good flavor but it was too watery from my experience of eating Thai curries and seemed more like a soup. Overall, I would recommended trying this place as well the dishes had good flavor and you get huge portions for the price!

This has been the most phenomenal Thai food I've had in a really long time! I've been let down by many Thai restaurants in Sacramento and so I wasn't expecting much coming into this restaurant here in Vacaville. There, Tom Yum was PERFECT! It was big enough to split between two people. It had the perfect amount of spice. It had the perfect amount of soreness to it and the chicken was cooked so tender. The Thai tea here was phenomenal! I am an avid Thai tea lover, and this was just amazing. It wasn't too sweet. It was just the perfect amount of sweetness. That being said the mango sticky rice was a seven out of 10 for me because number one the portion was extremely small. Also, I do love my mango sticky rice on the sweeter side, and I felt like this didn't hit the mark for me. But if you like your mango rice, not too sweet then this would be perfect for you.

This came up under vegan friendly restaurants in Vacaville so thought I'd try it ! Large open dining room clean & neat w/ lots of waitstaff wearing colorful floral shirts w/ those fun but comfy looking puffy satin pants. The dish has many assorted veggies including beansprouts w/fresh tofu in small cubes !! The chili sauce is not very thick or red but pretty spicy ( they didn't ask how spicy I wanted it ) Everyone is so pleasant & polite!! By 6:30 the place was packed !! The stirfry was tasty & very veggiful but full of onions, green & white, the cabbage was cut so large it was hard to eat w/ chopsticks & the dish was a bit spicy for me !! I probably should have ordered rice but I'll take my leftovers home to eat w/some rice ! Tasty but not exceptional ...

We were greeted by a nice lady and she walked us over to our table. We started out with some wonderful hot Jasmin tea, and ice water that had a hint of lime, which was delicious. We looked over the large menu, and decided to start off with some Egg Rolls $8.95 which were yummy! They were served with a sweet honey sauce with crushed peanuts, that was great. The next item we got was their incredible Chicken Tom Ka Kai Coconut Soup which comes in a huge metal pot with a flame coming up from the center $11.00 There was plenty for several helpings each, but it was kind of hard to get to the bottom of the pot since their soup spoons are rather big. There were mushrooms, lemon grass, pieces of tender chicken, as well as lime leaves which gave it a wonderful flavor. We also split an order of Chicken Pad Thai $14.95 which was different then what I'm used to. Their version was served a bit sweeter, and with glass noodles, instead of the typical flat noodles. I used the women's bathroom which is in the back store room area. It was fairly clean, but my biggest issue was the sticky floors throughout the restaurant. I assume they just use to much cleaner, and don't rinse it afterwards, which is totally annoying as you walk around. We'll be back to try some Pumpkin Curry, and I can't wait for Sticky Rice w/ Mango to come back in season.

Tom Yum Goong is located in the back corner of the parking lot next to the Vietnamese restaurant…read more(Pho Lee Hoa Phat). We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.

We walked in and there were a few people already enjoying lunch, but plenty of open seating. We were seated right away and service got going quickly. Always a good sign. There are lunch specials, but we went à la carte because I believe if you're going out to eat, you might as well order what you actually want. We ordered seafood tom kha, chicken & shrimp pad Thai, basil beef, spicy catfish, pla pad phed (trout), and steamed rice -- all requested not spicy because my parents like flavor, not a near-death experience. The seafood tom kha was a win. Dad was impressed with the variety of seafood -- shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari, and catfish. He kept commenting on how flavorful the broth was, which in dad language is basically a Michelin star. The basil beef was new for my parents and they both loved it. The sauce had great flavor and paired perfectly with the rice. The pad Thai was good. Solid. Dependable. Not the kind that makes you dramatically pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices, but definitely tasty. Now the spicy catfish is what I personally come here for. It's fried just right -- not overly breaded, still flaky and tender inside. The sauce is always on point and full of flavor. This dish alone keeps me coming back. The pla pad phed (trout) unfortunately didn't land the same way. Because it's served filleted, it's easy to overcook, and sadly this one was. The sauce itself was great, but the fish was a bit too done. Overall, this place has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it survived the ultimate test: my parents enjoyed it too. I'll definitely keep coming back for the spicy catfish, basil beef, and their reliable pad Thai. And the service? Always friendly and attentive -- which honestly makes the experience even better.
