This is my Vietnamese spot. I had the grilled beef bun bo nuong delivered, and as always, they gave a generous portion for the price. There was enough for two. Everything was cooked perfectly. Tender beef, pickled veggies, and plenty of fish sauce to tie it all together. Paired it with a Thai tea to snap me out of the food coma

We love coming here. No frill just really great food. The #P1 combination pho and the #P5 with added shrimp is our usual. Spring rolls, the pork bahn mi with a side of fish sauce for dipping is amazing. I also like to get the #V4 bowl. It's amazing. Now it's not the cleanest place but the service is very nice. Whether it is cold or hot outside, who can turn down some traditional Vietnamese down home food.

Such a good pho spot! The broth is flavorful and comforting, the prices are super budget-friendly, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Always a reliable place to grab a good bowl of pho!

Saigon Pho in Vacaville is always a hit! I've been coming here for years and the service is consistently great, super welcoming and friendly. Their Pho is delicious. I got the P4 (Brisket and Round Eye Steak) and my fiancé had the P9 (Brisket and Flank). Both were great, with awesome flavor and perfectly cooked meat. We also shared the fried shrimp rolls. Bonus points for keeping our waters topped off the whole time, I definitely recommend:)

We were searching for something light and quick for lunch and stumbled upon this little gem of a place. Tucked in a little strip mall, we decided to try this place. We ordered a beef, pork báhn mis and the pork sausage roll. Everything was delicious! The meat in the bánh mis were perfectly grilled and seasoned. The bread was super crunchy and the veggies complemented the sandwich nicely. The grilled sausage roll was surprisingly delicious as well. Yum! Order a side of plain chicken broth to complement your sandwich. Trust! The food came out quickly and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu!

My wife was craving the Vietnamese Beef Stew and in the past Saigon Pho carried this soup, but they no longer sell it. She opted for another beef soup which was good, but wasn't quite like the Beef Stew. I got the Combo Pho and a Grilled Pork Banh Mi. We also ordered Fresh Spring Rolls. We ordered by phone and was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived in about 15 minutes and our order was ready. The restaurant was about 1/2 full, but we were greeted and served right away. The spring rolls with their peanut sauce were delicious. The Combo Pho has always been spot on as their broth is well seasoned, not greasy, not overly salty or sweet. The problem with take out is you do need to heat the soup in the microwave as by the time you take it home it's not piping hot, so the meat does not get cooked. The Pork Banh Mi used to be really good, but this time they were lacking in portion of grilled pork and the picked daikon and carrots were not very pickled. Overall, I still like Saigon Pho over the other Vietnamese Restaurants if I am in the mood for Pho as I like their broth the most.

The great thing about Saigon Pho is it's pretty easy to find off of Elmira. There is a decent-sized parking lot in the little town center it's located in, right next door to a nail salon. Service was great everyone was kind and attentive. We arrived around 6pm on a Monday evening. We ordered the Dac Biet(Combination) Pho, fried egg rolls and the Lychee Smoothie. Service is FAST. Our order came out less than 10 min after ordering, and everything was served hot, which is a major plus. The restaurant was getting full, but with no wait. Broth had great flavor, steak pieces were nice and soft. What I didn't care for were the pieces of meat with some tendon attached. These were a bit tough to chew, and could not get them to break down after chewing, wouldn't recommend this to anyone who has issues with choking tendencies/elderly/toddlers could be a potential hazard. I gave up and had to place the chewy tendons with meat attached in a napkin for disposal. The fried egg rolls were tasty with a sweet and sour type of sauce served with it, and inside of the egg rolls were filed up well more meat than wrapper made a great egg roll. Lychee smoothie was nice blended cold, filled with Lychee flavor and creamy . My biggest gripe was their restaurant restroom, and back area being a mess. There is a lot going on in the back of the restaurant, had I seen the back or the restaurant initially I don't know if I would have wanted to try the food. There are a lot of things stored in the back which is typical I think of most restaurants, but the way things were stored could probably be a bit more refined. The floors looked like it had not been mopped in awhile. When finally getting yourself to the restroom you may be waiting if you're unable to decipher if someone is inside. The door handle felt locked because the handle could not turn easily to open, then after a few minutes of waiting just because I was worried of disturbing anyone that may be inside, I turned the handle again and it actually was vacant to my surprise! The door lock doesn't seem to function easily so it's hard to tell if it's locked or unlocked even FROM THE INSIDE. The toilet was not being monitored by staff and was clogged, besides that about to overflow with a not-so-pleasant remaining in the toilet bowl with what could be seen by trying to get to the sink to quickly and efficiently wash my hands. The paper towel dispenser handle was not attached, which made it difficult to figure out how to get the paper towels out. Eventually I figured it can be dispensed by pushing down on a small arm attached to the dispenser, missing the handle at the tip. Saigon Pho has the potential to be better since the staff seem happy to work there, I think they can be encouraged to make sure these other standards are being met.

    Even these look sad.

Disappointing 2.0 Tried it again after 1 year at the owners coercion. Not only did we get the wrong plates. We were charged more. When my husband went to oic up the food, he was rudely shouted at by the female at the counter. He was trying to adjust the AUTOMATED TIP to something more reasonable and she repeated "sign it" at him Reluctantly he signed and we have since decided to never give our hard earned money to this establishment. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. NEVER AGAIN

It's been a while since I last visited. After the ownership changed, I tried the food a couple of times and felt it just wasn't quite the same as before. That was a few months ago, so I decided to give it another try today. I'm really glad I did. The food was much better this time, and the service stood out too. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. When I came back in after moving my car (most of the parking out front is 15-minute spots), she greeted me again and asked where I'd like to sit, not realizing I already had a table. It was a small moment, but it made me feel welcome. My friend had the pork chop rice plate with egg and said it was just how he likes his pork chops. I ordered the large brisket pho with egg noodles. It had good flavor, though I was a little surprised that egg noodles cost an extra dollar. The portion also felt closer to a medium than a large. Overall, it was a really solid meal and a much better experience than before. I'll definitely be coming back.

My favorite phở spot in Vacaville! I've gone here a few times and this time I had the phở đặc biệt and my wife got the bún bò Huế. Both were delicious! My wife is from Saigon and she said that the food was delicious and authentic. All of the staff is kind and welcoming. The atmosphere definitely makes me feel like I'm in Vietnam which is awesome! It's a small store so seating choices are limited. I think it's a Vacaville thing but this store also seems to put the hoisin sauce in red containers. Overall, a great spot to get vietnamese food and I know I'll be coming back many more times.

Come early or you'll likely not get to have what you're eyeing on. When: Saturday dinner at 5pm (came when they were opening door) What: Chicken satay, pork satay, beef satay, seafood laksa, hainanese chicken rice, fried spring roll Experience: Superb food!! It is a lot of food, but we wiped out all of it among two adults and two young kids. The satays were SO GOOD! Hands down the best I've had in the USA, and on par with the best satay places I've had in Southeast Asia! Our favorites including both kids were beef and pork. So tender, so flavorful and delicious even without using the peanut sauce. We even got another two orders of each to take home! Seafood laksa was such a big portion with good amount of seafood. If you've had Singaporean or Malaysian laksa, this is different. Different in a good way since the owner chef is from Indonesia. The Hainanese chicken rice was tasty. Turmeric rice was different since I'm used to the ginger chicken rice, but the poached chicken was very well made. Under the chicken skin was a layer of gelatin which happens when the chicken is poached and then cool in a meticulous method. Together with the ginger scallion oil sauce, it was umami! Fried spring rolls were crispy and good flavor of meat and vegetables inside. Together with their house lime chili sauce, it was a party in the mouth! Looking forward to their opening at their next location!

(I also paid using the online services, but I did see someone paying in person.) I was drawn to Bazar Eatery when I saw they had Laksa; I ordered the Seafood Laksa. Ever since I had it in Singapore, I've been hoping to find somewhere that serves this soup. It was nice to find somewhere that serves it, but it doesn't compare to the flavor of the laksa I had in Singapore. (Maybe it's a different variant of the dish, but I preferred the more coconut heavy broth flavor that I had over there.) I still enjoyed this dish overall though. I also tried the Hainanese Chicken. It really wasn't anything amazing, but this could be due to the dish being served with regular, white rice; they had run out of turmeric rice for the day. I also had the kumquat sparkling drink. The menu notes it's sour, but I didn't think it was overly so. It was still more sweet than sour in my opinion. I enjoyed the drink, and it tasted like they used real fruit rather than artificial syrups. I think the portions are a bit small, particularly in the case of the Hainanese Chicken, but it's nice that they served complimentary shrimp chips. Service came off as genuinely welcoming/friendly, even if we weren't checked on after the food came out.

We frequent the Vietnamese restaurant, but never really think about going to Tom Yum Goong until today. We were originally going to Pho Lee Hoa Phat for dinner, but when we walked up I asked my son if he want to eat Thai instead which he and my wife decided they wanted to eat instead of Vietnamese. Ambiance (3.5/5 stars): first impressions when we walked in is that it is dark and needed more lighting. After sitting down, I noticed that one side of the restaurant was full of random antique items. I overheard someone asking them about the antiques and the owner said that her husband buys the antiques at estate sales, etc and that they are open to offers to purchase them. There are some Thai decor in the restaurant. Older 70's/80's music was playing in the background so it didn't feel like being in a Thai Restaurant especially with all the American antiques on one side of the restaurant. There are a handful of tables (seating for 4 people), but they do have room for larger parties. Food (4.5/5 stars): We really enjoyed our food. They had great flavors. The portion size was not big, but the price also reflected the smaller portion size compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Dishes: - Mango Salad: nice chunks of mango, mixed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mint, cilantro, carrots, cashews, shrimp and the chef's special mango sauce. It was a nice refreshing dish and was once of our favorite dishes that we ordered today. - Super Pad Thai w/ Chicken: flavorful, authentic Pad Thai flavors - Moo Yang (B.B.Q. Pork): nice tasting grilled pork with sweet chili dipping sauce - Pad Ka Prow (Pad Basil - Beef): nice flavor, had a lot of green beans (not usually in Pad Ka Prow), but I liked the flavors. I always welcome extra veggies. Service (4/5 stars): The waitress/owner was very nice and was pretty attentive overall. She was the only one waiting tables and with take out orders as well as helping some in the kitchen. She came by a few times to check on us and refill our waters. It was a slow night for dinner (~7pm, Friday), only one other table eating and 2 take out orders while we were there, so not sure how the service would have been if they were busy. Food came out relatively quick. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of hidden in Vacaville. They have great tasting food and would be much busier at a better location. They do have smaller portion sizes, but prices do reflect that. Between Vacaville and Fairfield, I feel Vacaville's Thai restaurants are much tastier than any in Fairfield and Tom Yum Goong is no exception. If you are craving some good Thai food, give them a try. You might even find a piece of antique that you may want to purchase.
