The Maple Bar is a wonderful experience for a Saturday brunch. The Service, food and ambiance were perfect for couples, friends and even families. We arrived before 11am and were quickly seated although the venue was quite full. Those who arrived later had a short wait time. The music was current and crossed both R&B and Country and was moderately playing in the background. This offered an opportunity to socialize without competing. It supported the friendly atmosphere well. Pretty chandeliers and a combination of booths and tables offered option in a space that is smaller than some of its surrounding counterparts. The menu was stellar and offered both the traditional brunch staples such as chicken and waffles and pancakes however there were surprises such as red velvet waffles or fruity pebbles pancakes/waffles along with some other exciting and unique options. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked vegetarian omlette and a hibiscus mimosa. My spouse enjoyed the traditional waffle with the potatoes, eggs and turkey sausage patty. We also had an incredibly delicious Vietnamese coffee served cold over ice. This treat was recommended by a knowledgeable and cordial bar tender when my husband noticed that the bar carried the New Orleans chickory coffee made at workd famouse Cafe du Mond. We learned that they use a variety of coffees depending upon the drink being made. The Vietnamese coffee's combination of strength and sweetness make it what all Caramel Macchiato's want to be when they grow up! However, the regular house coffee is also very good and Henry our server catered to our preference for half and half over non dairy creamer by having it prepped fresh with heavy cream and 2% milk! We were so surprised that this courtesy would be the response when most restaurants would simply say they don't carry it. This review will certainly make it seem as if we prefer coffee to mimosas, that is not true. The beautiful Vietnamese coffee drink was just so yummy that we almost forgot the mimosas. My husband's watermelon mimosa was very nice and the hibiscus mimosa was crisp and refreshing. Service here should make surrounding venues nervous because this restaurant does not use busy crowds as an excuse for tired lackadaisical substandard service. They greeted everyone that entered as if they were an old friend. We noticed the way the team supported one and other to ensure good service as crowd thickened. Service was attentive, but we got there before the brunch rush, so I can't speak to what it's like when it's busy. Unfortunately, that's kinda where it fell off for us. I kinda fell like, for a +$20 breakfast, it should have been epic. And it just wasn't. Most of mine was cold - and that's pretty bad when yuh have something called a 'skillet' (which wasn't in one, by the way...) My daughter's Benedict was... Spongy and weird and so were the hashbrowns and the hollandaise was just kind of off, and runny. What was epic?? The FRUIT. Large portion, berries and mango and none of the filler melons that most places use. It was the good stuff! I guess next time we really should try the waffles, because apparently that's what it's known for and I don't know why we didn't go with that but we just weren't feeling something sweet today. Hopefully, next time will be epic all around! (as far as ambience, it's a cute little place, the music was decent, and the tables were well appointed. It had a nice little family-style vibe, although the seat cushions could use some reupholstering. I ordered the waffle combo, which came with a waffle, sausage patties, and eggs. I can relate to the other experiences shared here. My family and I recently had a very disappointing experience as well. The customer service was extremely lacking, and we felt overlooked, undermined, and unappreciated as customers. We came in with the expectation of being treated with basic courtesy and respect, but unfortunately, that was not our experience. After receiving little to no assistance, we ultimately decided to leave and take our business elsewhere! It's disappointing to make the effort to support a local business and walk away feeling as though your presence and patronage are not valued. He was more interested in talking with people that came in rather than waiting on on the customers. When the food came out, the toast wasn't with it. Harry said the toast will be right out. Toast never showed up husband had to get up and go get Harry and ask him about the toast. He pointed to another server they brought out the toast wasn't toasted was cold. We sent it back. Overall I would recommend this place. I have been there several times and at different times. The weekends are busy so be prepared to wait especially with a large party. They do not take reservations. The food and customer is service is good. All the servers are pretty laid back but kind. The restaurant always has great music playing...usually a R&B/Pop playlist..so the vibes are vibin! Honestly I love the Avocado Toast! I always add a fried egg but that's extra. The chicken fried steak was flavorful and the French toast is really good! The chicken and waffles was okay. The waffle is good but the chicken I expected more from them. The chicken is just a strip and not very flavorful. I think they could Make adjustments and make it better because everything else I've had there is really good. This place was on my instagram for awhile so I decided to give it a try. The service was really good, we sat at the bar area and our server was the owner. He was very nice and I can tell he was passionate about the food he makes and where he comes from. The interior was cool as well, no complaints and they keep the area clean. Fruity Pebble Waffle: 8/10, nice presentation, tastes exactly how we expected and the sausage and eggs were cooked nicely. Cinnamon Roll Pancakes: 8/10, if you love cinnamon rolls you'll really like these. Honestly, I'd sooner come back with more people as the portions are big.. Super cute breakfast spot located in downtown Suisun. This is was my first time because there is usually a long wait, but today I was seated right away even though there was a nice crowd. I decided on the Passion Fruit mimosa and the Carne Asada and eggs, both of which were really good! The mimosa was not too sweet and the fresh fruit topping was a nice addition. We had a large party of 15 for a birthday celebration. We weren't able to make reservations so we arrived at 12:00 and waited for 45 minutes to be seated. The server was a nice young lady, brought water to the table for everyone right away. Service was a bit slow taking our orders, getting our drinks, and especially getting our food. When the food was served, No one at the table had silverware or napkins. we had to wait for 3-5 minutes for silverware. The food was hot and looked tasty - too bad we had to wait. After hearing such great things about this place I finally managed to find time to sneak away from my normal busy morning to have breakfast here with my family. As I parked my vehicle, I see a man walking out of the cafe glaring at me as if I was parking where I shouldn't be. I though nothing of it and walked in. The interior of the cafe was nice, great natural lighting, and had adequate space to push our stroller around. As I was observing and admiring the decor, I see the "parking enforcer" sitting near the front door with a laptop glaring at the patrons, including myself. The service was typical of a small cafe where the servers were attentive to the best of their abilities but did require a few requests to refill our empty cups of water, coffee, and napkins. The food was great. We enjoyed the loco moco, red velvet waffles, and pancakes. As we finished our meal, I was starting to feel uneasy about why this person was still fixated at staring at everyone dining there. Finally I asked our sever who he was and it turns out he's the cafe manager. I thought to myself, wow how nice it is to have someone passionate about parking and patrons dining at his cafe. The restaurant is modern and cute. They are quite busy overall so be prepared to wait atleast a half hour when the place is packed. I like that they have options for non pork eaters, chicken apple sausage and turkey sausage. Their food is good no complaints. Only suggestion I have would be maybe upgrade your coffee options to serve lattes or matcha, more juices that aren't fountain. I ordered a waffle and asked for a chocolate drizzle and they drenched the waffle in the chocolate sauce and the waffle became soggy. I couldn't really enjoy it or taste the regular syrup since the chocolate was over done but I'm sure a chocolate lover would have been happy about it. My niece picked this place for her 21st birthday. Very cool vibe. Music was mostly R&B but not too loud. We sat at the bar because there was still 30 minute wait for a table. The bar tender, JC, informed us that he was closing out another table and would be right with us. He continued to check in but not be intrusive. The food: The presentation of my waffle was beautiful. The bacon was thick and cooked well. It arrived without butter but when they brought it is was already room temp and spreadable. The Mister said his omelet was good but a bit cold. (He gave it an 8 out of 10)I thought his potatoes were delicious. Now for the main event: The mimosas. My niece got a flight with cotton candy, strawberry, dragon fruit and peach. The strawberry and peach were good. Please note that the flavors are created by Torani style syrups. The only juices they have are cranberry, orange, apple and pineapple. Walked in on a Saturday for brunch. It was pretty busy and was given a 10-14 min wait for 2. We honestly didn't wait 10 min. There is no waiting area and do not crowd the door. They take your cell number and text and call you when your table is ready. This spot occupies the spot of one of my previous fave Italian restaurants- Chianti Osteria. Some changes inside but overall the set up is the same. Our server was attentive and friendly; even apologized for the wait but it wasn't bad. There were lots to choose from but I went with a Belgium waffle with strawberries. Reading the menu gave me major sweet tooth but in a good way. Hubby had the cinnabon, I mean cinnamon french toast. In my opinion, the restaurant could use some remodeling and general updates. The structure feels a little dated, and there are small details that stand out if you're paying attention. The mimosa flights are what seem to draw a big crowd. They're cute and very aesthetic, which I think is part of the appeal. Some of them can be on the sweeter side, so if you enjoy fruity, sweet drinks, you'll probably love them. As for the food, it just hasn't been my favorite. I've tried several items over multiple visits because friends enjoy going there. The chicken and waffles were okay, nothing special. The omelet was decent but not memorable. I tried the chilaquiles once and wouldn't order them again. They were very heavy on the sauce for my taste. I also found some items like the hash browns a bit too greasy, the fries are three large wedges, not my favorite. On the positive side, most of the servers I've had have been friendly and attentive, and the bathrooms have always been clean, which I appreciate. We came at 11:30 on a Saturday to do brunch and saw that there were some people waiting outside. When we came in they asked if we were on the waitlist, said no, and they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. No big deal, we went outside to wait, and were texted that our table was ready even before the 30 minutes were up. You will have to stand outside to wait, and parking can be a bit tricky when it's packed. A cute and small place, with a bar in the middle. We were sat next to the bathrooms and felt like we had enough privacy to have a conversation but still be engrossed in the atmosphere with other diners. Hip hop and trendy music was playing, with mimosa towers on every other table, so definitely a place for younger people. Service was pretty good - our waiter checked on us maybe twice, refilled our waters, and brought us the check after saying he would after about two passes by our table. Once we ordered our food it came pretty quickly, about 5 minutes and piping hot. I ordered the Meat Lovers big breakfast, which was like a scramble bowl. Delicious and filling, could use a bit more flavor, but was pretty good. I also ordered the cotton candy mimosa, and while good, could have been bigger for $7.50. My friend got the Cinnamon Roll pancake (because unfortunately the French toast version was sold out) but she also said it was really good. Overall, service and food speed were the highlights. A solid brunch place to go to, but probably not my first choice. read more

I went here this past weekend for the second time. First time was ok. Not amazing but not bad enough not to want to give another try. I ordered the loco moco because it reminds me of a dish I got in Japan. Didn't get any pictures because it kind of just looked like slop. in parenthesis on the menu next to rice it reads like you can sub the rice for corn beef hash so I asked the waitress to sub rice for corn beef hash. She asked me to repeat so I did and she said no rice got it. Didn't clarify the subbing thing just put no rice. Apparently this subs the pattty for corn beef and thats what they brought out. I told the waitress about my misunderstanding and she offered to bring the patty. Ok cool. At this point I had already had my food for a while, probably around 5-7 min by the time she came back by. I was waiting to eat as my kids had not received theirs. Their food finally comes out around 5-7min later, we all eat (the corn beef hash was terrible. I do not recommend and I did not eat). We finish and ask for the check. Waitress was like oh you still haven't received your patty? (This was probably 30ish min after offering) Tell her no I'm good we are already done. Shes like ok i'm going to check what happened anyway. Brings it out‍ and says oh it's done and leaves it on the table. I try a bite and its bland burger patty. She then brings my check and charged the corn beef hash separately ($14!!). Complete waste of money. It was awful, I did not eat it and legit thought it was just a side instead of rice. There is no way I would have paid $14 for that. We will not be back. The waffles are also a bit too overcooked and taste burnt. This place is a gem. Came here for my friend's birthday brunch with a group of 13 people and the staff was so accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. Huge enough for now and some for later. My only regret is not getting a sweet treat like the cinnamon pancakes to pair with my corned beef hash. For the mimosa flight, the server didn't tell us which drink was which and we had a hard time telling them apart. Not complaining though because the drinks were so glittery. We had mixed reviews about this place. Let's start with the food. I had the avocado toast which I enjoyed. The toast was nicely toasted, not rubbery like at some places. Plenty of avocado and feta cheese, it was however missing a poached egg in my opinion. The country fried steak was a total miss. It tasted like it came straight out of the freezer. The gravy not only looked watery, it had no taste. The little pieces of sausage they put on top really did not help and were completely unnecessary. Their Conchita french toast was meh. It would have been more tasteful if they actually soaked the concha in french toast batter instead of just throwing it on the griddle and drizzling sweet condensed milk over it. I wanted to be a fan of it, but unfortunately it missed the mark. The other thing worth mentioning was the DJ placed awkwardly in the midst of the restaurant. Not sure what purpose he served because they could have achieved a better more cohesive vibe with playing music over the PA system. Decided to try this place out for breakfast. We sat at the bar looked over the menu and decided on Eggs Benedict, a cup of coffee and a Mimosa.
