I had breakfast this morning at Your Town's Cafe, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The service was excellent--shoutout to Jennifer for being friendly, attentive, and making sure everything was just right. You can really feel that welcoming, hometown vibe as soon as you walk in. I ordered the Special Skillet, and it absolutely delivered. The bacon was perfectly crispy (not soggy), the scrambled eggs were cooked just right, and the fried country potatoes were golden and flavorful. Every bite had a great mix of textures and flavors--avocado, green onions, jalapeños, olives, plus cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, all coming together really well. The sour cream and salsa on the side added a nice finishing touch. The English muffin with butter was also spot on--simple, but done perfectly. If you're working near or visiting the Solano County offices, this place is super convenient. Your towns cafe has been a place that we've driven by many times throughout the years and yet we've never had the chance to stop by for breakfast. I've had many great breakfast memories at this location with its original predecessor so I knew that if the opportunity came, I wanted to jump on it. The dining area is the same layout as I remembered it. Step up booths, tables, and a nice sized banquet in the back. I was surprised to see that they also serve beers and mimosas so I jumped on the mango mimosa s soon as I could. The service was great! The young lady that took our orders and served us was wonderful. We even spoke a little bit while I paid for our bill and she was super friendly. The chicken fried steak was delicious. The gravy was nice and thick, perfectly seasoned, and made the steak delicious. The biscuits and gravy was very good too. It was larger than I expected as we ordered the small to share. The meat omelette was cooked perfectly and since we also added the chorizo it made it even better. Friday through Sunday they do serve pozole so well for sure be back to give that a try! read more

While entering, it sounded like they had lots of regulars as they were chatting with staff and one even mentioned not needing a menu. I've been eyeing this location. Finally made the chance to come in... the hours are 7am to 1pm so we came just in time. It's evident lots of regulars. Mix of young and older generations. Ample seating for smaller or larger groups. The vibe of the place is old school. Super friendly people. They checked on us numerous times, very welcoming. I was disappointed with the cheese burger. Cheeseburger with no cheese. There was a pinch of shredded cheese that held the bacon to the bun. Meat was bland and had more of a microwaveable flavor and texture. Fries had a light color and could've used some salt. Pancake combo the pancakes Had a crisp texture and was tough to the bite. I did like the scrambled eggs and sausage. Bacon looked microwaved. Coffee was weak not bold enough for my taste. This cafe wasn't to my liking food wise. But they have the most warming inviting welcome. read more

I was in town for jury duty service, but had time to stop and get some breakfast. Your Town's Cafe was on the way to the court house; so I decided to stop there. When I arrived the restaurant, I noticed it had that old school cafe vibe where you could feel right at home. It wasn't packed, but about four to five tables were occupied. There was only one waitress working both sides of the restaurant; so I had no issue with her making sure the other customers were taken care of. She was very friendly and courteous. I ordered the Meat Lovers Omelet ($14.99) which I got with hash browns and a short stack of pancakes ($1.99 extra if you don't want toast). Started with the hash browns; and they were not only overcooked but very bland. They seemed to also have a stale texture to them. The Meat Lovers Omelet came with bacon, ham, ground beef, sausage, and linguica inside; meat inside was cooked a bit too long, but they did still provide some nice flavor. I wish I could say the same for the egg omelet itself as it was partially burnt and also bland. I added salt, pepper and Cholula sauce to my breakfast to see if anything could awaken my taste buds; and while it helped out the omelet a bit, the hash browns were basically dead! The pancakes I got were a little thick than I prefer, but I usually don't worry about it as long as the batter of the pancake is cooked all the way which these were. Nice flavor, but it seemed a bit chewy on the bite. People have said a lot of positive things about this restaurant; so I probably would give it another chance if I was in the area. Came here with my fiancé and we were jet lagged. It's July 4th so we were unsure on who will be open. Saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. I got the Huevos Rancheros with green sauce and fried rice. It was beyond delicious, the sauce was homemade. And it actually surprised me with the kick of heat they got. It warned on the menu that it was going to be spicy which I clearly underestimated because it made me reach out for water a couple of times! The service here was great and attentive overall. Being checked on numerous times with water always filled. I loved the inside of the diner as it still has the old look which I love! We will definitely be coming back sooner than later! read more

Dad grew up with overcooked bland food and loves it, so he was thrilled with Your Town's Cafe. (And I do have to give credit -- their fruit side had fruit other than melon!) My enchilada omelet was large (yay!) and featured chicken so overcooked that it was chewy. The enchilada sauce was that canned orange "enchilada sauce." Our server and the kitchen got it right that I wanted a biscuit *without* gravy; my error was in wanting a biscuit at all. It was a dense, stodgy cube. Stopped in to kill some time, ordered breakfast. We shared a short stack, which was ok. My wife had a meatless scramble that was not seasoned well and hashed browns that were barely brown. This was after she requested'crispy'. I had the special BBQ. brisket Benedict, which was a risk seeing as how they had no Benedict's on the regular menu. I was pleasantly surprised. Hmm....where do I start. I strolled over to this restaurant to kill some time while my car was being tinted close by. I was greeted when I walked in the door and told to sit anywhere I wanted. I ordered my breakfast which was funny because she asked me how I wanted my eggs (I ordered an omelette) and when the food arrived I was not overly impressed. My omelette was pretty flat, not really stuffed with ham, bell pepper, and onion like I wanted. The potatoes were just kind of meh - flat burnt tiny squares. The most interesting and yet eye opening thing was sitting near a window watching all of the homeless, strung out people walking around the parking lot and even right by the window of the restaurant. Fairfield has gotten really bad over the years. Terrible location for the restaurant and food wasn't worth what I paid. read more

I've been here probably half a dozen times while having my car worked on next door. Every time I've been extremely disappointed. Each time I've ordered a different item, and to be direct, the food has simply been terrible each time. The place also looks like it could use a thorough scrubbing. Was in the area one morning and we decided to try the local breakfast Cafe. It had quite a few customers when we arrived and one waitress. She was kind and friendly, giving the atmosphere a small-town diner feel. She took our order and suggested some good additions. I got the Huevos rancheros plate, which was two easy over eggs in a fried corn tortilla, with a side of Spanish rice, refried beans, and the most amazing spicy green Chile Verde sauce. My husband got the Monterey jack cheeseburger, it was a nice-sized burger with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. 5-15-22 A nice place to go after church for brunch. Came in with a friend. The hostess was nice. It was a busy morning with lots of families there. Someone immediately brought menus and asked if we would like juice or coffee while browsing the menu. She chose coffee. I chose the cranberry juice. The service was quick and efficient. We ordered the same thing and was pleasantly surprised that it did not take long at all for the kitchen staff to prepare. The biscuits and gravy had sausage, scrambled eggs and spices in it. My stepdad was a chef (God rest his gentle soul). It tasted similar to his home made version.We really enjoyed our meal. I recommend it and plan on coming back again soon. Last time I was here, when it was Stripers, I guess the Pandemic closed it down. Now it's Your Town Cafe, been here about 7 months, the menu's not that big, food is great, customer services is good, I did have to ask for water 4 or 5 times. I guess they are working out the bugs. I'm planning to come back again on my way to Travis AFB, for appointments it's will be worth it. It's better than McDonald's. read more

Four of us enjoyed breakfast at Your Town's Cafe this morning. We were welcomed by and waited on by the owner Jessie. She was so sweet and gracious! The place is spacious, light and airy. Everything is immaculate! We ordered French toast, chicken fried steak and rib eye with grits and eggs and all of the accompaniments. Coffee was bottomless and Jessie wouldn't let our coffees get cold. We all loved everything we had! We are from out of state and will be back next time. This review is based on an order placed for delivery. Chicken and waffles - if you don't want butter with your order and the chicken overcooked - then you would like it. Omelette with hash browns and toast - hash browns were undercooked but other items were ok. Turkey and avocado sandwich with onion rings - where do I begin? Sad, sad sandwich - 4 painfully thin slices of avocado with 2 slices of tasteless, low quality turkey and the bottom of the sandwich was soggy - zero care given to how the meal was packed for delivery. Oh yeah - a side of onion rings means a group of 5! Don't bother typing in 'please add a side of ranch' in the section for special instructions because the instructions are not special enough to be followed. Good luck! read more
