Slated Tree just feels easy in the best way. It's got that laid back, welcoming atmosphere, with sports on in the background and staff who are attentive but not hovering. Was looking for a brunch place and came upon this place since it's super close to our home. We saw they had some options for brunch. We had an our dogs so we were able to sit outside in a like a makeshift patio. We don't sit inside so I wasn't able to fully see, but I do love that the have they doors that go up so you can get the breeze from the outside. I ordered their peanut Thai hamburger with fries, my partner ordered the chipotle steak salad, and my friend ordered the chilaquiles. the food came out and it looked good. The burger was ok, wasnt anything amazing. The salad, was bland, with like Taco Bell cheese and the steak is all chopped up and pretty fatty. My friend really enjoyed hers and it had a kick to it. They both ordered the packed Bloody Mary which is $3 more and all you get is a piece of bacon... Very skimpy either way their fries to, they were good, nice and crispy. Don't get their blue cheese dressing, it's so watery. Would we come back, probably when I want a beer and looking for an appetizer. It's a bit on the expensive side to. Went to Slanted Tree this morning for brunch to celebrate my brother's birthday. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was just okay--the skin kept sliding off the breast, which made it a bit messy and less enjoyable. The waffles were very dry, and I had to request extra butter and syrup to make them more palatable. My friends ordered the eggs Benedict, which unfortunately missed the mark. The dish came with a thick, overpowering slice of ham on a medium-sized biscuit, topped with a boiled egg instead of a properly poached one. The hollandaise sauce was minimal, bland, and tasted like it came straight from a package--very high in sodium and lacking that rich, buttery flavor that makes eggs Benedict special. The egg itself seemed to be boiled without vinegar in the water, and the signature runny yolk that should blend with the hollandaise simply wasn't there. Overall, it didn't deliver the classic eggs Benedict experience we were hoping for. We also ordered mimosas. The champagne was served in a large pitcher, while the orange juice came in small cups, which meant passing cups around the table instead of having a more elegant or convenient setup. The restaurant wasn't very busy, though there were several people seated at the bar. The parking lot is quite small, which could be a challenge during peak hours. All in all, Slanted Tree might be an okay backup option if other brunch spots have long waits, but based on this experience, it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Staff were very friendly and checked on our table often for drink refills and made sure we always had napkins. Decor covers the walls and gives plenty of talking points, like past and upcoming events. Bathroom was clean, and the place is kind of split between a dining area, bar area, and outdoor patio. A nice chill hangout for the older audience in this primarily suburban area. Lots of space, and not too noisy - huge plus. Ordered the Thai peanut burger and it was pretty good! Huge burger with great crispy fries. The bacon was a bit thick, but in today's economy $20 for a burger and fries, with a super thick patty, was totally worth it. Came here on a weeknight and restaurant was pretty busy. We sat at the bar and ourserver greeted us right away and attended to us. She was sweet. We ordered some sliders the patty felt dry and the bread was just not the best. We also got B.L.A.T sandwich with fries and Slanted Tree Cobb salad ( It was a little dry on the dressing and i had to ask for more on the side,which she happily gave it to me),but salad was nothing special but big portion and perfect for sharing. Had a really nice late brunch with my girls at Slanted Tree. It was just a few minutes before they were able to serve the Lobster Ravioli but luckily was able to order it with the okay from the chef! Came here March 16 if they want to retain customers, consider having staff who acknowledge and aren't overwhelmed by the number of guests. I visited restaurant tonight and was told to sit anywhere. After 20-30 minutes, another couple arrived and were given menus before us. We weren't acknowledged. We left the restaurant, and another table did the same. Great spot! I don't understand the low rating here on Yelp. Visiting from out of town and found this place conveniently located next to my hotel. Dined here two nights in a row and both experiences were great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is better than expected. Had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken one night, a BBQ burger and a grilled artichoke the next. The artichoke was especially memorable. I was tempted to order a second or ask the chef for the recipe. All that on top of a spot that has tons of craft beer options. Plus it seems a lot of locals come here and socialize. Can't say enough good things about Benjamin our server and bartender! Very gracious, solid, kind , took excellent care of us ! I would have to say their service, upon providing the menu and taking the order was really slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. That's why I did reduce the rating because the amount of time it took to receive the menu, let alone order was a bit too long. However, the time our food came out was really fast and our waitress was friendly so that was the bright side ! This is what I ordered: Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine (5/5): This was a really good pasta ! On top of that, they give you an abundant amount of large shrimp as well as sausage. I loved the flavor of the pasta and I wouldn't change a thing ! Spicy Pina (5/5): It was a pretty strong drink, but really delicious ! Not too sweet and I love the tajin/chamoy rim. Misto Fristo (5/5): I loved the batter that was used over the zucchini, shrimp and calamari. It was light and crisp ! It's pretty bad when you leave wishing you'd just had give to an Applebee's. The fish and chips are just frozen cod filets not much better than boxed Gordon's and nine were on the verge of being burned. My husband's chicken sandwich was the same. I thought since this place has beer there might have been a nice beer batter but no. Their beer cheese was nacho flavored abd did not complement the pretzel bites at all. The fries and pretzels were good. After having 2 meals 1 appetizer 3 beers and spending almost $100 including tip we left extremely disappointed in the whole experience. Service was good though. I love coming here! Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long but it's worth it when you get it. I just don't come when I'm starving lol. Plus the extra wait is nice when I come because I usually always meet my friends who visit from out of town here so the extra time is nice to catch up!
