I frequently order online and pick up - but usually at their Travis location. Turnover rate at both locations seem high, never the same people working.. but my real complaint is that the N Texas location never follows my orders. A bit frustrating when they charge you extra for each item - yet when you get home, your extras are not even in the sandwich. Now why don't I open and check before leaving? Because the food is for someone else (this case was my cousin) and I don't feel right unwrapping someone else's food. I ordered over the phone and the person who took my order was VERY Customer Friendly , attentive and attention to detail were GREAT!! I ordered a Roast Beef & Garlic Pesto Turkey Samich with all the fixins I like in a Samich and a bowl of Clam Chowder were DELICIOUS and messy. I didn't think the 2 items would come out approximately $29.00 w/ Tax but IMO it was worth every penny!! I just wish every pickup order I choose is like Sourdough & Co. Most places I choose for pickup always has a flaw in my order although I ask to repeat my order back to me, and it comes something is missing or it's something nowhere close to what I've order at similar types of restaurants. I think ALL food retailers should be trained by Sourdough & Co . I'm serous. As always, at the last minute, I needed 50 sandwiches within the hour and they were the only one, out of 5 other vendors I called, who came through at the last minute. This place is very poorly run. When a customer orders online and is given a pickup time that is 45 minutes after the payment is made, customer expects the order to be ready. In my case today I arrived at the given time but was told that the order is being worked on, after 15 minutes of waiting I asked again and was told it is almost ready. Used to be my spot for bread n chowder. I usually order through the app but decided to walk in to order. Interaction with the cashier was alright, but the other two team members gave me thousand yard stares and interacted with me as if I committed the greatest sin. Not too sure what the circumstance that was causing that. I even made sure I double checked that I wasn't cross dressing or wearing a white robe with a pointed hood. I've been here since the 90s. If you have someone check the order for accuracy before to send it out this would not have happened. I had a poor experience with my pickup order. Despite arriving within the specified 15-minute window, my order hadn't been started and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes. They were looking at me while being very slow. The store wasn't busy, I was the only customer there, so this was inexcusable. This morning my son noticed the Sourdough Co was opening at 10:30. First time visiting so hoping my son's sandwich is tasty. While I was driving to work he calls me and says, " sandwich is delicious and and the cookie is lemon (which does not care for any lemon cookies) is actually great. On my way home from work I stopped by to try. I ordered hot pastrami with cheese and soup Bisque. The atmosphere is relaxing, and tables were clean when I walked in at 2:46 p. M. This place is suprizingly empty all the time. If you want to make an in store order, there is more than usually no line to wait in. The food is great and the clam chowder is supreme. Nice and thick and hearty. The place is spik and span as far as cleanliness goes, staff is moderately kind and respectful. My only complaints being the menu is a little small. But my biggest problem with the place is the time it takes to wait on even a 1 item order. I once waited almost 20 minutes to have a sandwich made when the store was empty. I don't know whether they had a lot of phoned in to-go orders, but the amount of time to wait on food here is excessive. I think they usually only have 1 person making the food at any given time and that's simply not enough. Hire more chefs sourdough! read more
