Pastrami on marble rye with everything!

I can't express how good this place is. Consistent and filling. Today we also had the potato salad. I usually get the mashed potatoes but changed up today and boy was I happy with my decision. Friendly services (always)! It's got a lot of room to handle a group. I love you Joe!!!

BBQ roast beef, green beans, mashed potatoes, and roast beef on sliced white bread

Hidden Gem in Fairfield. One of the best sandwiches I had in a while. The meat is super fresh and they cut it up right in front of you. I ordered the BBQ roast beef and demolished it. Nothing fancy, nothing "elevated", just a good freaking sandwich. Never hitting up a chain, only if I have to. This is that spot you drive out your way because the food is good. The side dishes is delicious as well. Loved the service. They saw that I had my 3 kids running all over the place, so they made sure I was taken care of and helped me get seated. Definitely that kind of place you HAVE to try.

The same way you fell in love with season one of the bear you will fall in love with Joes Buffet, this place is original and as authentic as it gets. Sandwiches piled a mile high with meat and sides that would make your grandmother jealous, cafeteria style with no sense they have aged a day after 1985... this is the spot. Not pretentious but still has a little attitude. 10/10

Roast beef, au jus, macaroni salad and coleslaw

IYKYK - Joe's Buffet is a local institution that is a must try! The amount of meat on a sandwich can easily be enough to make another sandwich. The dinner plates with roast beef and mashed potatoes and gravy/au jus are the epitome of comfort food.

Great lunch spot! Reasonable prices, and very friendly service! Sit in their front room for views of Texas St. Not busy mid-week at noon.

Piled high pastrami! Soo good!

Yeah... this is just awesome spot for a very good meaty sandwich. Nothing fancy. No gimmicks. It is more like a "come and get it" type place that serves great bread with hearty piles of meat and a superb au jus that very rich and deep flavored. Joes has to be my new favorite "whatcha havin" place in upstate CA.

Potato salad and a few peppers in a cup! Yum.

Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about this place!! Got 2 sandwiches, mash n gravy, green beans, potato salad... 1-sand , roast beef and Turkey on French roll with cheddar.. Excellent. Meats fresh and not salty. Cheddar, excellent. Tomatoes, onions, mayo, lettuce, and pickles.. all FRESH! Sand #2, turkey, salami.. same. Everything was fresh! Mash and gravy.. hearty and delicious. Really fulfilled the craving! Potato salad.. creamy, made with dill and sweet relish. Not sweet at all. Perfect zing. There were herbs in there... tasted like mom's. Dot too sure if there were onions and egg in the potato salad.. so ask if you're allergic. Green Beans... should have ordered a giant tub to-go of these. Delicious. Slight black pepper and hints of onion? I don't know, but boy, they went down easy! Reminded me of the ones from KFC, but a thousand times better. I live about 60 miles away, but if I'm ever in the area again, they'll see me again. Next time, I'm getting the simple green salad and corned beef.. and I'm gonna try the Mac salad and those beans again!!!

Locals favorite. Mountain of meat. The best sellers are definitely the French deep and the Joe's Special which add pastrami to the French dip. Family run, great service. Cafeteria style, order at counter, they make it in front of you, ask if you want to add any sides, pay and find a table in the dining room.

The sandwich was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had. The bread was moist, meat was hot and tender, veggies were the right proportions. The service was killer, greeted me as I walked in and got me going quickly. They have iced tea but I wanted a lemon, so they cut some up fresh for me! That's the type of thing that will get me coming back over and over. The ambiance is a deli, nothing too flashy, but they've got plenty of seats inside and out. If you're looking for a great deli, nice staff and somewhere to take a load off for lunch or earlier dinner in Fairfield / Cordelia this is it.

We order the French dip sandwich and the flavor was great, meat was cooked just right and the sauce complimented the sandwich well, though it was a bit thicker than I thought it'd be for an Au Jus, but hey to each their own for sauces. 4/5* Their shawarma wrap was probably the most worth getting on their menu; the size of it is very generous and flavorful. Out of the 2 things we got this was definitely the winner for $12. 5/5* Both of the gentlemen were very nice behind the counter and when we're back in the area we will be back again!

Because they have a small farm, there is a bit of a smelly aroma outside. We had the French onion soup, which was enclosed by a puff pastry and had gruyere cheese inside, torch shaped pasta with squash and pancetta and breadcrumbs, and a Brussels sprouts Caesar salad with crispy prosciutto. Every dish tasted magnificent. I like them all equally. Tastefully seasoned and cooked well to make the flavors stand out along with beautiful presentation. My critiques would be that the melted cheese from the French onion soup would solidify get stuck on the spoon and some of the larger Brussels sprouts on the salad were a bit tough. Pasta was a tad bit salty but still great. We had two scoops of gelato for dessert- olive oil with a hint of lemon zest and flakey salt and chocolate. Both were creamy delicious and not too rich. Our server was nice and explained some of the food items to us. After lunch, my friend and I walked around the garden and enjoyed the views surrounded by the vineyards.

We had reservations just because it was mothers day and we knew it would be busy and it was. We got there a little early and sat down right away. The place has plenty of outside and inside seating. When we sat down a waiter came right away and asked if we wanted water and told us our waiter would be right with us. Our waiter came shortly after that and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered a bottle a sparkling wine. We ordered the poutine fries to start. The bottle of sparkling came out right away. The poutine came out not to long after that. The short rib was tender and juicy, the fries were cooked perfect, the cheese on it was melted, but it needed some gravy and more cheese. The original Canadian poutine has the gravy on it and the cheese curds which are so delicious. If this had the gravy on it, it would be a 10 in my book because of the short ribs and the fries were perfect. For our entrees we ordered the short rib eggs benedict and the chicken & waffles. The food came out pretty quick which was nice. The short rib eggs benedict was cooked perfect. Of course the short ribs was tender, and the hollandaise sauce was nice. The chicken and waffles was cooked perfect, the flavor on both was nice, the chicken was tender and juicy. The must have brined the chicken in order for it to be so tender and juicy, if not, they did a great job either way. The waffles were also cooked perfect and they had some type of flavor to it that you didn't even need syrup. I observed the staff working and everyone was working together and bringing stuff and picking up from all the tables. Kudos to the whole staff. Our waiter was also great so good job to him as well. We were too stuffed for dessert so next time we shall try some. The 5 was close to getting it but the poutine just needed some gravy in my opinion.
