MAR2026 Got food for takeout since it was a work lunch. Pickup was quick. I had ordered the chicken salad, garlic naan, veggie samosas, 2 oz tzatziki, and one falafel to try things out. I'm glad I got the naan along with everything. The chicken salad had good flavor, and was great on amount aside. Not dry which was great. I kinda wished I had more salad to balance things out. I was using the naan to build little tacos with everything and tzatziki to bind. The veggie samosas were pretty good though I wanted more flavor wise. I had different things to dip and add but it needed something. The falafel was decent, a bit dry and grainy for my tastes. I think a garlic sauce, sriracha, or something to really bring things together. All in all worked pretty well. I'll certainly try other things next time through. read more

Gave this spot a try on a hunch and I'm glad I did because everything from the service and food was more than pleasant. I will say that I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of menu posters they have but we settled for the butter chicken platter, lamb gyro platter, and a grilled chicken breast Philly platter. The food came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. All meats were tender and juicy. Curry was delightful and wasn't shy of chicken. No complaints. Portions were huge and had more than enough leftovers. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely my new go to! read more

Came when they opened and ordered a lamb gyro with waffle fries and baklava. The fries were crisped to perfection, the baklava was crispy and not too sweet, and the gyro was very filling! Restaurant is clean and must've been a Subway before because the setup and seating looks like it was a Subway. The menu is very colorful, they have both Mediterranean and Indian food. I will definitely go again to try more food. read more

I always feel so welcomed by the friendly staff at this awesome little spot. We got the combo plate today and it's like a flavor sensation that you have to try for yourself to appreciate. The grill on the chicken is perfection, as is the lamb. My wife is not a rice person, but this basmati rice is her favorite, so much flavor. The falafels were perfect round and crisp If they can serve a sauce or make the preparation slightly juicy, since both the dishes were a bit dry. Yesterday I ordered combo platter, and it was the worst food I have ever tried in my whole life. The beef/lamb meat is like a rubber, i tried one bite of chicken, that was enough to throw the entire food away. Flavor was THE WORST among them. Wasted my 30 bucks in this place. Inside it's smelly as hell, cashier rude, obnoxious, and unwelcoming. Will never be there again! read more

We LOVE eating here. My favorite is the lamb gyro platter and Greek salad. The green chutney sauce is AHH-MAZING, I always ask for extra! Great customer service, delicious and always fresh! This was my second time coming here and i felt like it was worth writing a review. The staff are very friendly. I'm very grateful that they gave me a Baklava for free. My boyfriend said it was the best Baklava he's ever had. Next time, i'll have to try. I ordered the Lamb Shawarma and this was the first shawarma i've had. It was very flavorful and i couldn't get enough. It was so big that i got two meals out of it. Normally i don't order Lamb since i don't like the gamey taste but since this was lamb and beef, there wasn't really a gamey taste. So i did enjoy this meal a lot. Some 3 years ago the Chef/Owner sold the Q Halal on North Texas. The new owners could not execute, and so I stopped patronizing that place. Now, the original Chef/Owner opened up a new Q Halal on West Texas. I have to to say it is back and I think better. Their is a sign in the restaurant that says locally sourced, and organic ingredients. You can def taste it. I am so happy to have the original Q Halal back: Lamb: IMO best protein here. Very well seasoned and goes well with their chutney sauce. I think the best bite is lamb, chutney and basmati rice. You just keep eating and eating. The plate also comes with a salad that is very fresh. It serves as a way to add freshness and veggies to the somewhat heaviness of the lamb. BTW, the chicken here Is super good too, so the mix plate is yum. Samosa: Newly added to the menu this one rocks too. The crispy wrap is nicely toasted with a touch of sweetness. The filing of potatoes and chick peas was very good. Make sure you dip in the chutney sauce as well. Speaking of samosa, they now have chicken masala as well. I can't wait to try it. The ambiance is okay. The place reminds me of a Subway inside so very basic. But it is clean and the chef/owner is there to greet you. He is friendly and will take care of you. If you are a fan of Med food, you have to try this place. read more

The food was incredible here. Absolutely incredible. We stopped here on our way back from the Lost Coast for some driving sustenance. I wasn't originally planning on eating, but as soon I started looking around this intimate sized restaurant and seeing all of the key signage - indicating that their food is halal and that they don't use seed oils - I was sold. It was heavenly. Every morsel. You can taste the quality ghee that they use to cook the lamb gyro meat - in every bite. It was also evident when watching the staff cook our meals- that they take great pride in their food. The staff were kind, organized and I was impressed with how clean this restaurant space was - including the bathroom. I have been thinking about the food here - ever since our experience. The food here is absolutely delicious. I had it last week for the first time ever and I'm still thinking about it planning my next visit! I got a Lamb Gyro Philly and a Chicken Gyro wrap. Both were mouth-watering delicious. They were big and stuffed with food too, so you'll definitely get full. I was super hungry that day so I finished my whole gyro along with the fries they gave me, so make sure you have an empty stomach to eat here and get full. Service was great as well. It's a local shop ran by a father and son, they're friendly and serve food fast. It also wasn't busy when I came, I'm assuming they get busier during lunch and dinner times. Upon walking, we were kindly greeted. Our order was rather big, they handled our order timely and amazingly. Each meal was treated with TLC as they cooked and put it together. We took our food To go and once we got home, we devoured our meals! They were so delicious! Great customer service, Great food and very good portions! Clean restaurant! All the dishes we did order: chicken kabob, falafel platter, and chicken tiki masala were delicious and large portions, enough for 2 people to share. The platters come w/ a side salad and pita. The falafel had a side of hummus which I loved. Hubby ate all of his masala and left no morsel of rice behind. The kid enjoyed their beautifully flavored chicken skewer and basmati rice. I love this place. It's down the street from Lowes in Paradise valley. Gyro's are there best deals. They are delicious. I love the cucumber and the dressing. The bathrooms are clean and they have a water station at the front. Parking is limited, but there is always a space in their lot or the adjoining lot. read more

It's next to a cozy marina next to a small slough that works its way up like a finger from the delta once inside the Carquinez Strait and, while reasonably close to Fairfield, feels very detached and different from it. I'm reviewing Athenian Grill and keeping its rating the same ... at 4 stars. Some people who write reviews are not keen on updates whereby the rating remains the same. However, I feel that the passage of over a dozen years is a good enough reason to write an updated review! Athenian Grill's menu is predominantly Greek in its theme and the variety of Greek staples that you look for will be there. I chose the chicken souvlaki platter. It was very good, but what they do is put together a large chicken skewer that is accompanied by one with roasted vegetables. I sure could have eaten another chicken skewer, but the vegetable one was fairly good. My friend who was having this late lunch with me had a falafel platter and also said that it was good. We ordered soft drinks and they were refilled as needed. The service was very good. The pricing matches the context, meaning we're not in one of the Springfields, but in Suisun City ... but then not in San Francisco, either! The way the restaurant is finished is tasteful, owing to its understated nautical decor. We chose to eat inside, but it is also possible to eat outside and be closer to the edge of the small marina. Parking is available in a decent sized free lot in front of the restaurant and it appears to be shared with other merchants. I thus got to revisit Athenian Grill - over a dozen years later - and it was having to split the distance between the Bay Area and "Sactomato" that brought this about. I'd like to think that I have a good memory for directions and things spatial, but I did have to look at the map to find its nook-like location in tiny Suisun City. That said, help yourself to the map and go enjoy both the Greek grub at Athenian Grill and the pleasant little marina that it's next to.

I am so sorry I wrote a bad review of your restaurant yesterday when in fact it was M's Halla over on North Texas that I was unhappy with. I believe Q Halla was over on North Texas for a while and I always enjoyed the food. However, the last time I was there, I didn't realize it had changed owners and I was not happy with my experience then. I mistakenly thought it was still Q's Hala and wrote a bad review. Q's HALAL MEDITERRANEAN is hands down my favorite spot in California! The lamb gyro here is absolutely unbeatable. Seriously the best I've ever had. The meat is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender, wrapped in warm, fresh pita with just the right amount of toppings. I've had gyros at other places, but none compare. It's clear that they really care about their customers and the quality of the food they serve. If you're in the area, or even if you're not, this place is totally worth the trip. Hard that pizza is the first part of their name but that was the experience we had. I know the previous business left behind a great pizza oven so maybe they felt inclined to use that in their menu but maybe their strengths lie elsewhere. I'd like to think that I have a good memory for directions and things spatial, but I did have to look at the map to find its nook-like location in tiny Suisun City.
