Quickly Benicia is the new hot boba spot or so I hear from family and friends in the area. I love a good boba spot especially on a warm sunny day. It was my first time coming here and I must say it's very cute and clean. They not only serve boba drinks but they also sell Filipino food which is a plus cause I love Filipino food! Although I didn't order that the last time I went I have made a note to come back and try some. Finally got to try their weekend breakfast after the new owners took over. Ended up getting Ilocos empanada, combosilog, and bansilog to go. The combosilog had tocino, longanisa, and bbq stick. The egg and bbq stick were a little cold. I wonder if it had to do with what I noticed is that some food is cooked in the back and the plates are put together up front, which sitting under a hot light could help. Also probably being picky, but is it really a silog if it's steamed rice and not sinangag (garlic rice)? Leaving me a little disappointed. The Ilocos empanada was okay. Grain of salt, this was only my second time having one, but after having one from Papi Clary's across the bridge, that one was much tastier. I've yet to put in orders with some of the other vendors in the area selling empanadas. Overall, kinda just meh. I'll most likely try it at least one more chance. The plus is that you can show up and get empanadas without having to put in preorders like the other vendors in the area when you don't feel like paying toll. read more

We happen to be in Benicia today and decided to try thier Ilocos empanada. Got there at 12:45pm restaurant was pretty full but the line to order was not. I got 2 empanada and vietnamese coffee boba. The cashier said empanada will be in around 1pm.He said he will call out our number for the drink first and then at 1pm go straight to the pick up line for the empanada. A little pass 1 pm and no numbers have been called AT ALL . I decided to just get in line to check to see if empanada and drinks are ready. I noticed customers lining up and asking if any of the orders have been called? Sounds lke everyone was waiting for their order to be called out.When I got to the line he said my drink has been ready and that the empanada are not ready until 1:15. 1:30 came and for the 3rd time I went back in line, at this point it has been about 45 mins and no announcement,no orders were called,some customers were waiting longer than I was,some orders are actually ready but since no numbers are called they are just sitting there while customers are getting frustrated. I heard they had an event or special chef in the restaurant. Not sure how long this establishment has been open or if they have a new owner but I think they need to work on their flow especially if they have a "hot commodity" like the Ilocos empanada and lack of comminication. Boba was okay and empanada was just okay also,seems empanada are not made thier,they are brought in from elsewhere which I guess why there was a wait. It has been awhile since I had a Quickly beverage, and my first here at Benicia. The plaza itself is pretty busy, great tenants and neighbors. What really brought me in was there was a rumor that the Ilocos Empanadas were here. Turns out, I missed it by a few months. Total bummer. Nonetheless, the team members were pretty friendly and offered recommendations. Glad to see they have a full menu with filipino breakfast specials. My family and I went to quickly this morning and after ordering your food, we discovered the rice was not cooked enough, and it was still hard. Instead of the workers apologizing, they kept arguing with with my mom and I, they kept forcing us to get free food or rice which we did not want. What we wanted was or what we expected it was an apology. I feel like we were not treated well and when we confronted them about the rice they were not even looking at us. it seems like the workers they need to work on how they communicate with their customers and take accountability for how they serve the food. This is a bubble tea shop under new management. What makes this special compared to all the bubble tea shop I know is that they serve Filipino foods in certain days such as Silogs and ilocos empanada on weekends. I've been to this location once and so far I give them 5 stars for the very unique idea, and support businesses in my area. I ordered online and picked up in store. Plenty of parking in the plaza. The store itself is small but has tables and chairs for dine in customers. I ordered the famous ilocos empanada and they are huge, and crunchy in the outside, the breading reminds me of the Filipino streetfood kwek kwek. So good dipped with vinegar. I also got a Mahalo Fries: fried spam with breadings with rice on th side, no seaweed not like as advertised. I also got a strawberry matcha drink. We had to make a quick pit stop before heading to our final destination and decided to try their Ilocos Empanadas during their grand reopening. These are only served on weekends, and they were delicious! The empanadas were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. They weren't quite as perfect as their grand opening, but still very satisfying. We also ordered a Taro Snow and an Okinawa Milk Tea. The flavors were spot on--not overly sweet or watered down--but unfortunately, many of the bobas were stuck together, which made them hard to drink. Had a hankering for Boba and decided to swing by Quickly as I heard they were under new management and its pretty close to where I was staying. You can either order at the kiosk or at the cash register. We had issues with the kiosk so we decided to go to the register. We ordered their butterfinger milkshake, taro smoothie(?) with egg pudding and boba, and guava snow with lychee jelly. Drinks for the most part was good but the milkshake was too melty/watery and my hubby was disappointed. The boba spot is clean and seem to be taken care of well but for the price for a milkshake that's watery...I'd pass on milkshakes. Our other drinks were okay though. read more

Clean, friendly, with lots of menu options and fair pricing -- Quickly Benicia is a great boba hangout/to go spot. UPDATE: They no longer carry local, Whhipt cookie cakes, under new management. Below is my original review but I wanted to post an update... I was upset and I went in and talked to the staff and immediately they rectified the situation and not only comped my order but provided me with new skewers.... I really appreciate that a lot... good customer service is hard to find and I really didn't want to stop coming here bc usually the food and drinks are really good . I appreciate them taking the time to help me and I will be sure to come back! Usually I have a great experience here.. the food is great and so are the drinks but today , it just wasn't the same... the skewers are expensive and I don't mind paying bc they are delicious but today 2 of my pork skewers had HUGE pieces of fat on them... I really don't mind a little fat but I don't want half my skewer to be fat! The lumpia usually has furikake seasoning on it and my orders didn't have it. I don't mind paying the expensive prices BUT ONLY IF I GET A QUALITY PRODUCT! I'm hoping this is a fluke bc I do like their food but if this is the new standard, I'm done. read more

This is by far the best Quickly location you can go to. Staff has that welcoming energy and is friendly. They make their boba actually good. Regardless of sweetness or flavor you pick from, the drink ends up being great. Food options are solid. Under new management, the combination of Filipino food and boba fits so well. I was excited to try the Ilocos empanadas. It wasn't as crunchy as others sell theirs but it had a light crispy per bite. Enjoy this with suka (vinegar) to enjoy the meal if you like! They are sold only on weekends. In addition, they have silogs! Silogs is a Filipino breakfast where you can enjoy white rice with a choice of fish (bangus), tocino (sweet pork), etc. I came back the 2nd time and it did not disappoint. They are still working out the small details since they opened. Great patient dealing with the bursts of small crowds that come. We came on a Sunday hoping to try their topsilog breakfast and everything pretty much sold out except for the bangus and chicken skewers. Did enjoy both options and also tried their empanadas. Food came out hot and decent portions. Small eating area inside and a small table outside. The Vietnamese coffee with boba was ok, I prefer it without the mix of the milk tea. Highly recommend! The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We arrived close to closing time, and Loki kindly let us know they were done cooking but were happy to serve what was still available. Even with our group of 16, people, there was definitely enough food for everyone, and we even had leftovers! They were very accommodating, which we truly appreciated. I've had the Ilocos empanada here several times and my experience has always been great. The flavors are savory and well-balanced, especially the longganisa and egg, and it reminds me of what I've had at home as a kid. Came here for the boba and cars meet and had a great experience! I tried the jasmine milk tea and Thai tea, which were both really good. We also ordered the mochiko chicken and mochiko shrimp and everything was delicious. Also, got to buy their Boba and Cars merch for me and my son! The drinks aren't very sweet, and the boba texture is never quite right, not chewy the way it should be. This location also doesn't offer food snacks like other Quickly locations, which is a letdown. I once ordered the Filipino breakfast over DoorDash and they ran out of rice. They did leave me a voicemail to let me know, which I appreciate, but rice is a core part of a silog, so the dish didn't really make sense without it. Visited on March 29, 2026. The drinks are great--the Oreo Cookie and Cream Milkshake was solid and their Lychee Refresher is always reliable. However, the food was a major letdown. The Hurricane Fries were barely cooked and cold by the time I got home despite living less than a mile away. The Chee-Hoo Sticks were nothing special--you'd get better results from frozen mozzarella sticks at home. They also couldn't fill a complete order of Chee-Hoo Sticks and substituted lumpia, which was mediocre at best. Worst of all, the food didn't sit well and caused significant stomach issues that lasted through the night. I'd recommend sticking to their drink menu and skipping the food entirely. read more

I've been back here a couple of times since then in pursuit of their cheese creama drinks. I was mainly eyeing the black tea creama drink. Keep in mind that they have two variations of the black tea drink: Black Milk Tea and Black Iced Tea. As the names suggest, one version has milk and one doesn't. I've tried both and they have very distinct tastes. The first time I came back, I ordered the Black Milk Tea with Cheese Creama. Unfortunately they ran out of creama, so they offered me a choice of two toppings which was equivalent to the price of the creama topping. So I chose to have egg pudding and regular boba as my toppings instead. I thought the drink was fairly good, but it wasn't exactly the taste I was looking for. The caffeine taste was strong and I'm not big on caffeine. I was bummed out that they ran out of creama, but I appreciated how the worker allowed me to choose two different toppings as an alternative. The second time I came back, I ordered the Black Iced Tea with Cheese Creama. Fortunately this time around they had creama in stock! I tried the drink, and it had the exact taste I was looking for--it's basically sweet iced tea with a salty foamy topping to counter the sweetness. The drink is refreshing, and the caffeine taste isn't noticeable which makes me favor this drink over the other one. I'd definitely get it again. My friend took me to this Quickly & I would have to say that this Quickly is visually pleasing from other Quickly I have been too. The interior of the place is well organized & has a cozy vibe to it. The menu posted on the wall & they have additional specialty drink menus posted at the front of the store & workers favorite drinks posted near the cash register. The drink I have gotten was the strawberry lychee tea lemonade regular size with boba. Great drinks, always very clean and staff is friendly. My husband and I come to this spot every once in awhile and we always enjoy grabbing a refreshing drink from here. I appreciate that their milk tea is lactose free because they use a non-dairy creamer. Their boba is soft and chewy. I've had their yakult or yogurt drinks and found that I enjoy the milk teas a lot more.
