The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the owners truly go above and beyond. One time, I accidentally left my bag with my wallet inside, and the owner personally brought it all the way to my house. As a Bicolana, I was surprised and excited to see a local Filipino restaurant focusing on Bicolano cuisine. My mom and the rest of my family members are originally from Cam Sur in Bicol, Philippines, so I grew up eating a lot of the food they serve here. The food is quite good. Tapsilog is one of my favorite breakfast meals to eat, so of course I had to order it. It comes with garlic fried rice, egg, and delicious & tender marinated beef. They give a good serving of it, so you'll definitely be satisfied after eating it. I also ordered Ginataang Langka, which is jackfruit in coconut milk and fermented shrimp paste (bagoong), another personal favorite of mine. Although the ginataang langka was good, I still prefer my aunt and uncle's homemade ginataang langka. Lastly, I ordered Shanghai Lumpia for my daughter to try. Their Shanghai lumpia is very good! Food is good. Service at tine of order and payment for catering was good. However I think they might not have good systems in place. I pre-paid for over $300+ of catering order so my husband will have no issues picking up. They said I wouldn't need the receipt so I opted not to get a receipt but when my husband went for pick up they tried charging him again -- had to send him my bank charge with $300+ for the catering order. They need to make sure to mark it as PAID IN FULL or tell me to bring receipt (like I said they told me I wouldn't need it). Apparently, this place has changed its name to Bicol Express. I think they should update it across all search engines. So, the lady confirmed it used to be Nayong Pilipino. I decided to get bangus (milkfish) sisig which already came with rice. I also tried their kakanin combo of suman (a type of sweet glutinous rice), ube halaya (ube jam) and flan. Both were delicious! I regret not getting condiments for the sisig but it was seasoned well. The kakanin wasn't too sweet so that was appreciated. Prices were reasonable. They also have a mini grocery store which was fun to browse. There's not really a place to eat so I got my food to go. I'll be back! read more

Bicol Express is a small turo-turo "point-point"restaurant where you can point out which food items you want to order to dine in or for to go. Some of my recommendations are the pork sisig, menudo, and giniling. The menu changes daily but the rotation is pretty consistent. There are a few aisles of Filipino snacks and grocery items which is super convenient for when you are on the go. Portion sizes are pretty big in my opinion. This is not your fancy sit-down type of restaurant but a no-frills spot for Filipino dishes. read more

5 STARS for the DELICIOUS Filipino food that I crave their entrees almost every week! Their pork sisig is by far my favorite in this area and they do not skimp on their ingredients. Staff is friendly and helpful. Although on busier days like the weekend they probably need 2 people manning the actual food line and an additional 1 as just cashier to make the queue go faster thus the 4 star. What I've liked the best about this place - which has changed names a few times over the years, is the lumpia. You can call 5 min before you want to leave to pick it up and it will be ready. Great for potlucks and hosting. The food counter has not been as appetizing as I'm not a big fan of cafeteria style - you don't know how long it has been sitting or not. Fair that I should try it at least once - maybe that will be my update. The restaurant isn't the most tidy / esthetically pleasing so that's not the most inviting. The market is newer with the most recent name change, and it's nice to have, but it's a smaller variety of processed/packaged/frozen food, no produce. Last time I went I browsed the market and left with a few things, including a juice. Still solid for lumpia and in my neighborhood, but I probably would go elsewhere for Filipino hot dishes. My friend and I had lunch there today June 20, 2025. My first time. But this place was Nayon Filipino and Cabalen before. I ordered the Bicol express with rice and a soda. The place was filthy (tables unclean; the entrance glass door had a zillion hand marks and it was greasy). I did not finish my food because it did not taste good plus the place turned me off it was not clean. On my way home I felt my stomach churn. True enough when I got home I had LBM/bad stomach. The Bicol express must have been rancid already because of the coconut ingredient. A professional cook/chef should be aware of that! Filipino restaurants/eateries must raise their standards enough to make customers want to come back; most importantly the restaurant itself must follow the standard of cleanliness even during a random inspection. Nayong Pilipino or Bicol Express, still the same? Which ever one it is, it still delivers fairly well executed Filipino food. Took the kid yesterday, who was craving Lechon, as she got her wish. Firstly the staff is very helpful and kind. Even at the end of the day (1700), the food streamers had a good amount of presentable options! We opted for the lechon kawalli, palabok malabon, and tortang talong. All very done well and very good flavors and the right about of seasonings. This is also a small market with Filipino snacks and other items found in Asian grocery store so that was a nice plus. I remember the former restaurant and owner, we had my daughter's shower and baptismal celebration here and it's been 11years. I explained to her and she was basically in awe. The food is good and the service even better. I hope they continue well and get more customers, there is a lot competitors in the surrounding areas like Suisun and Vacaville, and fairfield has a couple market/turo-turo...this place will definitely satisfy your Filipino food cravings. Ten pieces short isn't a small error, and it makes me wonder how often this happens to other customers who don't count. The lumpia themselves were fine, but the experience left a bad taste. I came here today at 5pm. Their hours say they are open until 7pm. I saw a lady go into the restaurant. Right when I walked up to the restaurant they put a closed sign on the window. They also continued to let other people into the restaurant. So was this to purposely not let certain people inside? It's okay I would rather not eat somewhere that the surrounding sidewalk smells like urine. Clearly the homeless use their front porch for their bathroom. So why did they allow other people into the restaurant that were clearly Filipino and not me? Was it my ethnicity? That's how it feels. Also the name of the restaurant it's not even correct. I've always heard about this place and finally found the perfect day to go with my mom. We went on a weekday around noon and we were the only ones there at first but then the lunch rush started to pick up. The food area was like how you would order at Panda Express where you choose your dish and what was also unique about this place is that it was also a store of Asian snacks and goodies! Because the place was half store and half food, there wasn't too much space to dine in but it was just the right amount of the tables to make it work! Originally we were each going to get a 2-item combo, until we saw how much rice they give so we ordered 1 2-item combo for the both of us to share since the portion size was perfect for both my mom and I. We ordered for delivery through one of the apps and it was super convenient, a pretty decent value, and solid flavors. For weekday lunch when it's too hot to cook in Vacaville, we ordered a medium chicken adobo, medium pork sisig, and side of regular and "fried" rice. We also got the 12 count little lumpia. The order came well packed (they plastic wrapped the adobo container to mitigate any spillage) and still hot. While the medium dishes were indeed medium in size, the side order rice felt just as big, but that's a great thing. The "fried" rice is really more like garlic and oil flavored rice, meaning I didn't see them adding other ingredients in there, but very tasty nonetheless. The adobo was better than the sisig as I thought the sisig could have used more cooking time to break down the fatty pieces more. The adobo had lots of bone in pieces of chicken, very moist and flavorful. It ended up lasting us two lunches. read more

Catering Service and Restaurant [Fairfield CA] Hubby took me here thinking they had silogs on their menu (Filipino breakfast). This was our first time here and it was turo-turo style, a type of ordering items and literally means "to point" to the item you want. These dishes have been prepared ahead of time. The meal consists of two scoops of white rice and two dishes of your choice. For me I chose the menudo and pork adobo. I was not too thrilled with the items I got. The menudo had big chunks of meat and not the menudo version I'm used to. I'm used to menudo with potatoes and garbanzo beans with the bite size pork meat, not mini sausages and red bell peppers with large cut meat. I think I heard her right when I asked her what the dish was... she did say menudo. My adobo was just okay... the dish was lacking flavor. It didn't have the bold flavors of vinegar, garlic and soy sauce that I was accustomed to tasting. Well, there you have it. Probably not coming back anytime soon. There are a lot of other Filipino restaurants in the area. This is, after all, the Bay Area. Nayong Pilipino is located inside the Skyline Commercial Center in Fairfield. I was hesitant at first to try this place because of the reviews, but this is one of those situations where you have to try and see for yourself. As soon as I walked in, I received a nice welcome from the staff. Great service and they answered the million questions I had with a big smile. I ordered a combo of rice & pancit with Chicken Adobo. The Adobo was delicious and the pancit was tasty and flavorful. Five star hands down. Inside looks great and sanitary. We ordered 2 plates with 1 item which comes with rice. We expected to pay maybe $24 at the most with tax. When hubby went to pay, the total came to $30 + change! When he sat down and told me I counted out the change. He went back up to the cashier and questioned her and she told him our food was the special deal. ???!! My goodness! My son and I decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of yelpers!! we arrived at 6 o'clock. They close at seven. It's cafeteria style. They had about 8 to 9 choices of things to order. I had beef, steak and rice. The flavor was really delicious. We also had lumpia. It was very nice hot and fresh my son had pork belly and garlic rice. The pork belly was also very delicious, the service was just okay. Because the food was already ready. Somethings had to be reheated. The lumpia was actually fried fresh. I didn't think the guy had good customer service skills. The ambience was just OK it's more of a market/restaurant. I would recommend definitely the lumpia and the pork belly. read more

After that change to Nayong Pilipino I only went a few times since the only thing i like from there is their halo halo with langka ice cream and bistek. I didn't know Nayong Pilipino changed again to new management but it did say at the door so i was like ok im gonna try it. I was only planning to get halo halo but i ended up getting veggie lumpia, suman, chicharong bulaklak and of course the halo halo. The halo halo took at least 20minutes to be prepared and to my disappointment when they handed me the cup I saw canned fruit cocktail in the cup. I thought maybe i was wrong so I decided to mix it and check what really is. It is indeed fruit cocktail with some beans, jackfruit, flan and some nata and kaong. We don't use canned fruit cocktail on halo halo. This is the first. For $7.99 I expect at least a decent halo halo. Definitely not coming back here.. read more
