I just door dashed this spot and this has to be the best Filipino food I've had in a good while. I ordered the pancit palabok and beef lumpia. Both were delicious! Amazing Filipino food perfect for our wedding reception! This is what we ordered for our wedding reception: pork sisig, chopsuey, pancit canton, chicken adobo, laing, sweet and sour fish, chicken lumpia, pork menudo, and white rice. Everything was delicious! Nothing was too oily or salty. Most of our guests were Filipino but even my non-Filipino friends who haven't tried a lot of Filipino dishes yet enjoyed the food. The medium trays were the perfect size for our party of 35. The only thing I regret is not convincing my then fiancé to order more lumpia! 50 lumpia ran out so quick I didn't get to taste one. That's OK though because I plan to come in person to order the lumpia! We did have leftovers after the reception, even after people took some to go. The leftovers reheated well and I ate them for my work lunches. Jane was our point of contact. We exchanged emails and text messages. We sent our order via email and Jane emailed us an estimate. We then paid for our order in person. We paid for delivery and they had all the food delivered to our reception. They communicated with our point person for our reception venue. In person, Jane was friendly. It did take some time for us to hear back via email, but Jane always responded fast through text. My family and I visit this spot every time we visit the area! Food is very yummy. We get the Tapsilog, Beef steak silog, Lechon Kawali silog, Halo Halo, and Calamansi juice. My only notes are that the lechon kawalli is a bit dry and the garlic rice could be a bit more flavorful. My family and I LOVED the calamansi juice. It was so refreshing and not too sweet. It's hard to find a good calamansi juice. This product sells out fast so I would come earlier in the day if you'd like to order that. The Halo Halo has ube ice cream, jack fruit, jellies, beans, and (my favorite) a small piece of flan on top. The flan was dense, creamy, and not too sweet. Just a heads up--seating is only about four small tables. My family of six has never had an issue getting a table though. I had jury duty and was on a lunch break when I found this spot down the street. I was starving and craving Filipino food. To my surprise Lutong Bahay was a five minute drive. I walked in and was greeted right away. Since I didn't have long I just ordered lumpia and a desert. The desert was amazing pandan in coconut milk and coconut strands. The lumpia was crispy and full of flavor. I can not wait to come back and get more and try some of their other dishes. He is a fried chicken snob but he really liked it and he liked the teriyaki chicken. It was a bummer because he chose this place for the chicken skewers but they didn't have any. Next time. I had the Tocilog (tocino with egg) with steamed rice. The flavor was right on and I'm so happy each meal came with two eggs. I do like my tocino a tiny bit more browned but it was super good. She gave me a sample of her food one day, but then I decided to get some with another friend. I ordered the pancit and they make it for you fresh. It was delicious, the noodles were so flavorful. They give you the right amount of veggies and meat so the meal was greatly balanced. My friend ordered the longsilog and she only had great things to say. They told us ahead of time that it would take a few minutes to cook because they wanted everything fresh. Definitely worth the wait and they were very friendly about everything. This Filipino eatery is located in an older part of the neighborhood. It was a very hot day, temps exceeding 100F. Their AC wasn't working. It was excessively warm indoors. The seating is very limited. Inside seating consists of 2 tables with bench seating, and one table with two chairs. The place is very small. It's mainly a order to go cafe. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are moderate compared to other similar Filipino family eateries. We originally wanted halo halo, but they were sold out early due to the hot weather. So we ordered Canton pancit, tosino, Lechon kawali for dinner, and a refreshing sweet corn with rice drink (Mais con yelo). Canton pancit - 5/5 Canton pancit is made with the thicker noodles, not the thin noodles. The Canton pancit was prepared and tasted exactly like how my MIL made it. Not too peppery and with the right balance of veggies. It was down right comforting, and delicious. Pork Tosino - 5/5 Again, very tasty, delicious, and reminded me of my MIL's pork tosino. The sauce adhered to the pork, and went well with rice. An excellent selection. Lechon Kawalai - 5/5 Excellently prepared. Very crispy, and the Lechon melts in your mouth. A definitely order again menu item. Mais con yelo (Sweet Corn with rice Drink) - 5/5 Very refreshing with just with right amount of condensed milk, rice, and crushed ice. Overall, our first time was very satisfying. I hope they can fix the AC since there will be more very hot days to come this summer. We'll definitely revisit and update this review.
