Solid spot with really cool snacks. We both ordered the chicken fries which my husband loved but I just thought it was okay. I personally love some spice so when they didn't have that as an option to add on top it just didn't do it for me. BUT I loved the Dubai chocolate strawberries. And I do mean LOVED! Service was really solid too. I just wish they had some type of spice to add to as an option.

Everyone's going crazy for those Ilocos Empanadas and they got me hooked too. Fortunately I work near the area so I was able to get my hands on some! When ya walk in, the layout is very simple with high counters that cover the kitchen so you can't really see what's going on. I would think it's chaotic with all the genius they're cooking behind there. Ordered and was quoted a 15-20 min wait which wasn't so bad since I was at least able to secure them. I heard around lunch time they sell out. So I was just blessed. Once I picked it up, I had a 40 min commute home and surprisingly they were still nice and crispy! I will say, they should include more vinegar cuz the small lil container they give ya just doesn't cut it for those suka lovers. Inside is ground pork, mung beans, a boiled egg and shredded green papaya. It was my first and won't be my last Ilocos Empanada. Now I'm on the search for the best!

Tocino Burrito~ Garlic rice, friend egg and tocino with a vinegar sauce.

I have not order anything this in awhile. Last time I enjoyed the Spicy Chicken sandwich. This time I had order their Tocino Burrito for delivery. First it was pretty big and it was so good. Garlic rice, Tocino & Fried egg with a side vinegar sauce. Which paired well on the Burrito. I would buy this again. Maybe they will a Longanisa Burrito too.

I've been going to Papi Clarys for quite some time for my birria fix, but when they started coming out with Ilocos Empanada, I had to get my hands on them! So crispy, so good, and so much flavor!

Chicken Sandwich and fries

Food looks great, taste is ok. I wanted to try their pork tocino burrito and chicken sandwich. I ordered and waited for about a half hour. They said that the chicken takes longer. So if you are in a hurry or lunch break, maybe order ahead. The restaurant is definetly more geared towards to go and doordash. The people taking orders and preparing food are nice enough. A few seats but the vibe is a bit cold. I wish the food had been better. The burrito was greasy, mostly rice and a tiny amount of guac and sourcream in it. Just wasn't for me. The fried sandwich was good, very little coleslaw. I did get fries and those were ok. All in all, maybe I need to go back and try the birria. They do have bbq night, which is cool.

So I was finally in the area for work and have been wanting to try the recently infamous Iloco empanadas. The crunch and videos had been all over my SM feed. I ordered three. They are pretty huge so one was actually a meal for me. One for lunch, one for dinner, and one for a friend. I loved it. The crunch, the papaya/meat/egg filling, and the vinegar were perfection. I ate it like a hand pie. I wish I ordered extra vinegar.

Huge Empanadas

We came here to try their empanadas that went viral online. It's a small shop with very kind and helpful staff. We were told the line gets very long around 10am, but we went around 2pm there was no line. We got the pork longanisa empanadas and ube horchata - both taste absolutely amazing!! Can't wait to come back and try more.

Side Fries

Really good fries! Honestly amazing, the chicken fries are amazing too. One of the best fries I have ever had. They should just sell fries! The chicken fries come with guacamole and sour cream. Not a big fan of sour cream, so next time will remove the sour cream. Also they had a "spicy" sauce. It's really not spicy (I guess spicy for an average American taste bud). Overall, a must visit place. Will definitely try again.

Not worth the wait of 2.5 hours. Employees weren't truthful that they actually ran out when we already placed an order

Arrived in line around 11:05-11:10 AM, told empanadas would be ready by 12 pm. Noticed some people ordering 2 to 3 trays and thought maybe it'd be fair to limit empanada orders? After a 2.5 hour wait, was disappointed to find out they'd run out and staff had to pick up more. Maybe limiting orders would ensure more people can get some? Also, getting a head start on empanada frying might help.... With DoorDash orders coming in, it seemed like more staff could've made the process smoother Overall the experience made me lose my appetite for the empanadas idk if I'll be back soon it was upsetting having to wait that long Huge difference between 12:00 PM and 1:20 PM If you knew the demand was high --idk why you wouldn't have put a limit on the empanadas? People are greedy and don't have consideration for others. Please do better. Terrible experience all around.

Spicy Chicken Sliders

Today is my traditional door dash day I have with my co-worker and we decided to give this place a try. They had a special on their sliders, so that was what we opted for. Additionally, I also got a Horchata drink as well. Spicy Chicken Slider: I had the sauce on the side, which looked to be some sort of spicy mayo. The slider itself looked a bit smaller in person. For $4.50, you can get two sliders on DoorDash. It came with the sauce and coleslaw. It was overall just ok. The Cole slaw was a bit on the sweeter side and the chicken though, sadly was beyond dry. It was hard to swallow, and the spicy mayo couldn't save it. I also had burnt pieces around the edge, which didn't help keep the chicken moist. My suggestion to this is it needs something acidic, like pickle chip or two and honestly, that can salvage this dish. Horchata: This drink was pretty good. Not overly sweet, but I did taste a bit more cinnamon than I am accustomed to. Otherwise, it was not grainy, so I enjoyed my drink. Overall, the slider was ok and the drink was the best part. If only there were pickles with the sandwich, and it would be perfect

Empanada

Tried the ilocos empanadas time which was massive and super crunchy. I have been to Papi Clary's a few times and get their Birria tacos. One thing I will say and everytime I go here, I noticed that there is a long wait time. Usually a 20-30mins wait after you order. Hoping this gets fixed in the future but all in all, this is a good spot for viral foodies cuz of the unique items on their menu.

Came on a whim to try the infamous ilocos empanadas. Arrived, no wait to place an order. We beat the later afternoon rush of people. I've been meaning to come out and try their out their other menu items that have become IG famous. The workers friendly and quick to take your order while hustling behind the counter trying to keep up with the demands of the orders walking in. The restaurant was clean and had a home- like vibe to it. The empanadas were hot and fresh! They were huge and very filling.

Spicy Chicken Fries

Although the menu is limited each item they serve is yummy. I had the spicy chicken fries did not disappoint. Dubai Chocolate Strawberries dessert is a 10/10. The people that dine in and pick up were all friendly and everyone had a great vibe. We will be back !

Hi, What are your hours for the holiday weekend, same as normal?

Is this just a different concept with the same owners at the previous birria eatery that was in that location?

Different owner.

We checked on via Waitlist app on their ipad (You can check in online as well prior to coming). It said the wait would be 6 to 16 mins long. We waited less than 5. We sat at the bar, which is towards the back of the restaurant. We did not mind though because we usually get a table. Our waitress was June and she was super nice. She obtained our orders not too long after we sat. She also kept the mimosas flowing (You get 60 mins to enjoy). She was very personable and kept is smiling and laughing the entire time. We also met Jay who briefly serviced us, but talked with me throughout our time there. He was super nice too. Our food arrived hot and exactly how we ordered it. Everything tasted so good. We've tried many Thai restaurants locally, and this one truly stands out. The portions are generous, which is rare since many Thai restaurants tend to serve smaller portions. There are a lot of Japanese restaurants in the area, but one thing really sets this place apart: the sushi rice. The fish is always fresh, but what makes the biggest difference is the rice. The service is consistently good, and they offer a happy hour menu every day that's very affordable for a Japanese restaurant. We'll keep coming back again and again.

I love tempura, and tofu, so planned on the lunch combo. When they told me the tofu is deep fried, I hesitatingly chose sesame chicken, hesitant only because sesame chicken seems more Chinese than Japanese to me. Excellent, quick service as always. Good salad, good soup. The sesame chicken was better than I expected. But the tempura was inconsistent. And, what's weird, is to judge something for being too generous a portion. It was a big floret of broccoli and either squash or pumpkin, both good. A good shrimp. A huge onion ring, but they left the outer skin layer of onion on, and it stayed tough, couldn't bite through it, so i just got a long fibrous onion string, the coating fell off the rest, leaving me with warm onion. And, the serving included a ¾-inch think plank of white potato... way too thick for tempura veggies. I'd have been happier with less overall if the veggies were cut thinner, prepared better. Still plan on returning, but will probably stick with the excellent Kaisen Don, maybe try some appetizers, at future visits. And I still plan to go try dinner there.
