Really cool Mexican and Filipino fusion spot. Staff was super friendly and welcoming too. Good vibes! I got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. The chicken was crispy, had a good kick, and the fries were on point. The ube horchata was my favorite, it was so good. Good food, good people, good atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
If you're in the Concord area and looking for amazing food, this is your spot!! I've been coming here for years and never had any complaints... everything g is always fresh and made to order.. The staff is friendly and the customer service is impeccable!! The place is clean and well lit son some Friday nights they have an outdoor BBQ with a dj, Birria Lumpia: 1000/10 Big portion, awesome flavor, crispy & cheesy Birria Quesadilla 10/10. My daughter(12) loves this and it's her go to Spicy chicken fries: 10/10. This is a go to for my older daughter. Huge portion and the entire plate is covered. Pork Iloca empanadas: 9/10. Made to order and really good. I think I just waited too long and had to reheat it... I would get em again.
Papi Clary's was one of those word of mouth recommendations I'd heard from co-workers over the years. Kind of sad that I finally dined here once I got a new job out of the Concord-area! One thing you can always count on at Papi Clary's- great food and friendly employees! SO- the everyday menu at Papi Clary's of birria-topped dishes like Mac and cheese and tacos are delicious, HOWEVER, it's the daily specials I look forward to trying! I follow them on IG and I'm always looking forward to that next daily special post. They have a few usual suspects and have a few new specials in between. My absolute favorite special is the Surf & Turf Nachos! Generous portion of shrimp and steak with a delicious mix of nacho cheese, guacamole and some kind of delicious aioli. They also do frequent drops of Ilocos Empanadas. The pork longanisa, egg and mung bean filling is super hearty and delicious! My favorite from their everyday menu is the Birria Mac & Cheese. The birria is fork tender and the noodles are creamy, cheesy bites of amazingness! Follow them Instagram and I'm sure y'all will be hooked like I am!

I remember the night like it was yesterday. It was a quiet and lonely Valentine's Day, and I decided to stop by Papi Clary Kitchen for the very first time. Honestly, I'm so glad I did. When I walked in, I was the only customer there, but the chef immediately greeted me with such a warm and welcoming attitude that it instantly made me feel comfortable. He took the time to give me suggestions and made the experience feel personal instead of rushed. I ended up getting the chicken sandwich with fries, and wow... that sandwich was incredible. Every single bite was dripping and oozing with flavor and sauce in the best way possible. The chicken was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. It honestly tasted like one of those meals you keep thinking about afterward because it was THAT good. And the fries? Somehow they reminded me of a perfect mix between McDonald's fries and Wingstop fries. Crispy, flavorful, addictive, and impossible to stop eating. What made the experience even more memorable was the atmosphere. While I was enjoying my meal, there was a gentleman in the back playing bongos/music, and it created such a relaxing and unique vibe. The combination of amazing food, warm hospitality, and live music turned what started as a lonely Valentine's Day into a genuinely comforting and unforgettable night. Definitely a hidden gem, and I'll absolutely be back again.

Boy this place hits the spot! Everything on the menu here is poppin! They also have daily specials that makes you wanna keep coming back. I've been here 3 times already. If u have a craving for something and don't know what to eat, just come here and order anything. It's gonna make your day
The 4 stars are based solely on the customer service, not the food. This was our first time visiting, although I've been hearing about this place for a while. We came specifically to try their Ilocos empanadas, but unfortunately they only had the mini beef version available. They weren't bad, but they also didn't stand out compared to the Ilocos empanadas I've had at other places. Maybe it was because they were the beef version or because they were so small. They could have used a little more salt and a bit more egg. Since they're mini, the filling-to-wrapper ratio just didn't seem quite right. We also tried the tacos and birria. They were decent--not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Overall, they were just okay. What really stood out was the customer service. The employees were friendly, welcoming, and made for a pleasant experience. Would I come back? Probably. I'd like to give their full-size Ilocos empanadas a try before making a final judgment.
I have heard of this place only because I really wanted to try the viral Ilocos Empanadas. Till this day, I have not tried their Ilocos Empanadas. They have been very busy and jam-packed with customers wanting the viral dish. I believe things have calmed down now, so I should be coming back soon for it. Despite not getting what I intended to order, I was still very curious with the rest of their menu. I ordered their birria fries and tacos and wow, it was delicious. Both were so flavorful. Tacos had the soft yet crunchy texture. Fries were loaded with toppings. I especially appreciated the amount of fresh red onions!

When ya walk in, the layout is very simple with high counters that cover the kitchen so you can't really see what's going on. I would think it's chaotic with all the genius they're cooking behind there. Ordered and was quoted a 15-20 min wait which wasn't so bad since I was at least able to secure them. I heard around lunch time they sell out. So I was just blessed. Once I picked it up, I had a 40 min commute home and surprisingly they were still nice and crispy! I will say, they should include more vinegar cuz the small lil container they give ya just doesn't cut it for those suka lovers. Inside is ground pork, mung beans, a boiled egg and shredded green papaya. It was my first and won't be my last Ilocos Empanada. Now I'm on the search for the best!
Solid spot with really cool snacks. We both ordered the chicken fries which my husband loved but I just thought it was okay. I personally love some spice so when they didn't have that as an option to add on top it just didn't do it for me. BUT I loved the Dubai chocolate strawberries. And I do mean LOVED! Service was really solid too. I just wish they had some type of spice to add to as an option.

pros: Service was great! Kind friendly people. Good kapamilia Good instant packet ubechata our dogs were happy they got the meal instead Food was great when it first opened years ago CONS: .... i'm Filipino and this is disappointing. * Food is deceivingly presentable * They have a sign to check-in for free fries but no one knows how to do it on social media when asked because that is not an option on social media. That is why the question was asked to the staff which took three people with not necessarily an answer except to write a post on your own page...smh * fries sweet and were OK but paying $1.50 for melted plastic like cheese that was maybe a half millimeter thick if that to just kiss, the top layer of fries was not worth it flavor wise nor the extra price. * Birria noodles... broth was flavorless and watery... the instant ones at FoodMaxx are more satisfying. The Beef, flavorless, the birria box at Safeway has more flavor. This is overall disappointing and I am not Mexican but this is an embarrassment to their culture. * Birria Mac N' cheese, more like flavorless meat Waterlogged noodle and imitation mystery cheese....and to see a Mac and cheese lover I bought it for to look at me with a, "what is this slop" was upsetting. * gross mayo sauce I am guessing was in the orders side. * tables and chairs available but merely impossible to eat the orders because lack of tableware read more

They got something for everyone in the fam yall! Family owned business.. come for the vibes and support this local business! The kitchen is poppin and it's like you're headed into your cousins house for the holidays type energy. We came on a Saturday night around 5pm and families were eating inside, take out orders were flying off the counter and the 90s music was doing its thing! What we tried: Spicy chicken sandwich we had the sauce on the side so the kids could also try Tocino burrito LUMPIANADAS *crew fave MULITAS * my fave CJ special * husband favorite Ube Horchata to wash everything down Dubai chocolate cup to top it off Seating area is cute and cozy, but if you wanna do take out and bring food to your crew, that works too! read more
I have not order anything this in awhile. Last time I enjoyed the Spicy Chicken sandwich. This time I had order their Tocino Burrito for delivery. First it was pretty big and it was so good. Garlic rice, Tocino & Fried egg with a side vinegar sauce. Which paired well on the Burrito. I would buy this again. Maybe they will a Longanisa Burrito too. read more

Really good fries! Honestly amazing, the chicken fries are amazing too. One of the best fries I have ever had. They should just sell fries! The chicken fries come with guacamole and sour cream. Not a big fan of sour cream, so next time will remove the sour cream. Also they had a "spicy" sauce. It's really not spicy (I guess spicy for an average American taste bud). Overall, a must visit place. Will definitely try again. read more
Food looks great, taste is ok. I wanted to try their pork tocino burrito and chicken sandwich. I ordered and waited for about a half hour. They said that the chicken takes longer. So if you are in a hurry or lunch break, maybe order ahead. The restaurant is definetly more geared towards to go and doordash. The people taking orders and preparing food are nice enough. A few seats but the vibe is a bit cold. I wish the food had been better. The burrito was greasy,mostly rice and a tiny amount of guac and sourcream in it. Just wasn't for me. The fried sandwich was good, very little coleslaw. I did get fries and those were ok. All in all, maybe I need to go back and try the birria. They do have bbq night, which is cool. read more

So I was finally in the area for work and have been wanting to try the recently infamous Iloco empanadas. The crunch and videos had been all over my SM feed. I ordered three. They are pretty huge so one was actually a meal for me. One for lunch, one for dinner, and one for a friend. I loved it. The crunch, the papaya/meat/egg filling, and the vinegar were perfection. I ate it like a hand pie. I wish I ordered extra vinegar. read more

We came here to try their empanadas that went viral online. It's a small shop with very kind and helpful staff. We were told the line gets very long around 10am, but we went around 2pm there was no line. We got the pork longanisa empanadas and ube horchata - both taste absolutely amazing!! Can't wait to come back and try more. read more

Arrived in line around 11:05-11:10 AM, told empanadas would be ready by 12 pm. Noticed some people ordering 2 to 3 trays and thought maybe it'd be fair to limit empanada orders? After a 2.5 hour wait, was disappointed to find out they'd run out and staff had to pick up more. Maybe limiting orders would ensure more people can get some? Also, getting a head start on empanada frying might help.... With DoorDash orders coming in, it seemed like more staff could've made the process smoother Overall the experience made me lose my appetite for the empanadas idk if I'll be back soon it was upsetting having to wait that long Huge difference between 12:00 PM and 1:20 PM If you knew the demand was high --idk why you wouldn't have put a limit on the empanadas? People are greedy and don't have consideration for others. Please do better. Terrible experience all around. read more

Today is my traditional door dash day I have with my co-worker and we decided to give this place a try. They had a special on their sliders, so that was what we opted for. Additionally, I also got a Horchata drink as well. Spicy Chicken Slider: I had the sauce on the side, which looked to be some sort of spicy mayo. The slider itself looked a bit smaller in person. For $4.50, you can get two sliders on DoorDash. It came with the sauce and coleslaw. It was overall just ok. The Cole slaw was a bit on the sweeter side and the chicken though, sadly was beyond dry. It was hard to swallow, and the spicy mayo couldn't save it. I also had burnt pieces around the edge, which didn't help keep the chicken moist. My suggestion to this is it needs something acidic, like pickle chip or two and honestly, that can salvage this dish. Horchata: This drink was pretty good. Not overly sweet, but I did taste a bit more cinnamon than I am accustomed to. Otherwise, it was not grainy, so I enjoyed my drink. Overall, the slider was ok and the drink was the best part. If only there were pickles with the sandwich, and it would be perfect read more

Tried the ilocos empanadas time which was massive and super crunchy. I have been to Papi Clary's a few times and get their Birria tacos. One thing I will say and everytime I go here, I noticed that there is a long wait time. Usually a 20-30mins wait after you order. Hoping this gets fixed in the future but all in all, this is a good spot for viral foodies cuz of the unique items on their menu. read more
