    Honey Bunny Roll $17.95
    Fer R.

What a gem! Seated within 4 minutes of arrival. Seated and given menues from a friendly staff member. Ordered a few items. Fried Oysters 5 pcs. Breaded & fried. Super fresh and yummy. Breading was crispy with not much seasoning. Which is great, I wanna taste the oyster! Honey Bunny Roll was so delicious! So many flavors! Tender and fresh. Salmon, shrimp tempura, hamachi, spicy crabmeat and some type of crawfish salad topped the roll. Friends had the Bay Bridge Roll and mentioned it tasted fresh and seafood was tender. Philadelphia roll & Godzilla roll. All rolls were a beautiful presentation of artwork! Ambiance was nice. Granted it was a Friday night and it was crowded & loud. No biggie for us. Prices align with other local sushi joints. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We were able to split the bill between 2 cards. I will definitely be bringing my other sushi loving friends here!

Yummy sushi and great service! Came in on a saturday afternoon and honestly wasn't too busy but service was fast and friendly :) I had a hard time picking out what rolls to try out but definitely wasn't disappointed with the picks! The specialty rolls are a good portion size and also very tasty! The inside was nice and clean. I love how it felt like you could drop by and grab a quick bite, then leave satisfied. Very great place to drop by for sushi if you're by pleasant hill/martinez/concord. Parking is great and even though it's in a plaza it doesn't seem like it gets overly crowded or too busy.

California roll for $5 (8 pieces per order I have 2 orders here) during happy hour and a small sashimi rice bowl

We've been visiting this place since they first opened in their original location back in 2016, and we've stayed loyal customers even after they moved to the new spot. There are a lot of Japanese restaurants in the area, but one thing really sets this place apart: the sushi rice. The fish is always fresh, but what makes the biggest difference is the rice. Not too hard, too vinegary, too hot, or too cold if you know what I mean -- perfect texture and balance. The service is consistently good, and they offer a happy hour menu every day that's very affordable for a Japanese restaurant. We'll keep coming back again and again.

Okini Sushi has been my go to happy hour spot for a while now. Literally 4 rolls and an app for 40 bucks where else in the world can you get that kinda deal. The owners and staff are always nice, fun and will remember you. The restaurant is very typical in many ways but also has a fun little thing going on. I like sitting at the bar watching them make my sushi. 10/10

The restaurant is in a small strip mall setting. It's the real deal when it comes to Japanese food especially the quality of the sushi . The service was what should be expected. Prices are very reasonable. The decor is nothing fancy but that's ok because the food delivers! Will be going back many more times.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant to go to! I have been here a few times, most recently to celebrate my birthday! There is an enclosed area that made it feel like a private room for my party. They were so nice and accommodating for my 2 toddler nephews. It was really thoughtful how they bring out kid plates and kid chopsticks for kids. They also gave them a small container of ice cream at the end! The food is always delicious here. I got their lunch combo with pork Katsu and tekka maki which comes with salad and miso soup. The katsu is perfectly crispy and isn't dry. The portion of the lunch combo is perfect. Other times we have gone here we have gotten sushi and fried oysters. Everyone else in my party really enjoyed their food as well! There is a bathroom with stalls, but it seems separate from the restaurant. You have to go through a couple doors to get there but it's fine! There is plenty of parking as this place is located in a plaza.

This is my closest go-to for sushi and it never disappoints. It's somewhat hidden in Pleasant Hill, but easy to get to once you come here a few times. Prices are very reasonable which is a plus, but the he variety on the menu is solid. I'm always for sushi and sashimi first. The board has specials that I order from as well as their many delicious sushi rolls. My first choice whenever I'm craving good sushi for sure.

This place is in the Hidden Leaf village. Came here with my coworkers; Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata. They sure eat a lot when it's my turn to pick up the tab. They love this place for its great sushi deals during lunch. The mackerel is fit for a Hokage. And the sushi nigiri was so satisfying my chakra was at full nine tail mode. Would I come here again? Yes sir. After I complete my genin exam.

Came here to celebrate my husband and I's wedding anniversary and it was really yums! Although walnut creek has a lot of sushi places I think this place is one of the rarer ones that carried a vast variety of sashimi! We ordered age-dashi tofu for our apps and then california rolls and the 36 piece sashimi platter ot share! The age-dashi tofu was alright, nothing too special but I did really enjoy the california rolls and the sashimi! The sashimi was super fresh and the pieces were pretty sizeable! We were honestly quite full from the sashimi that we had to take a break half way through to digest haha. I think the one thing that kind of threw me off was that the service was just okay. I noticed the waitress being super friendly with their regulars and not really given much attention to the others (like us).

Wow, wow wow absolutely Amazing. Customer service amazing. Our server was kind accurate and very helpful. All of the dishes have beautiful presentation. Pricing is very fair. Food was prepared and came out very quickly. The size of the rolls are amazing. Definitely bigger than average. I ordered the Salmon Sashimi (5 piece) and it was delicious. High quality sashimi.

Told they'd be ready in five minutes which I thought was interesting. I arrived 15 minutes after placing the order, The place was empty- it was around 4PM on a weekday. No welcome in or hello from staff, I was asked "pick up?" And said yes and provided my name. I was informed they were still preparing my order-GOOD. I would've been concerned if it was ready in less time. I handed my payment card to the host, she struggled with inserting the card into the square device, as well as holding the chip over the device as well. After about 3 minutes she figured it out. I was handed my receipt to fill out. She watched as I filled in the respected lines. I did not leave a tip - as it was a up order, and service thus far was not to par. I waited for my order... 8 minutes later it was ready. Before leaving I checked the bag, order correct, but lacking my preference of soy sauce. I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me. She did, came out and handed it to me with what I interpreted was an annoyed look. I said thank you and left. Fascinating to say the least. I guess I was asking for too much. Sushi was decent. Hit the spot. But have had better.

The online ordering process was a breeze. It was done through DoorDash. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and brought my order to me when it was ready. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained. I really wanted to love this place as it is near two places our daughter enjoys frequenting. The Rolls Royce is a fried roll with tuna, yellow tail and salmon ($16.45) which I ordered accompanied by miso soup ($2.75). The soy sauce cup was barely filled, approximately a fifth full. If you look at the cup in the sushi photo, the soy sauce does not even attempt to cover the bottom. I was able to dip one and two-third pieces of the roll before running out. The size of roll pieces are decent, but for the price the order should be seven pieces versus the five I received. I would be satisfied with five pieces if the quality of the fish was fresh and vibrant in flavor. I received neither. The fish tasted dated. It lacked the flavor tuna, yellow tail and salmon bring. As for the miso soup, I received two pieces of tofu in my soup. The taste of the soup itself tasted as though it was on the verge of molding. Once a week, I frequent Tokyo Fish Market in Berkeley where fresh fish is sold daily. Yellow tail and ahi tuna are two selections I regularly purchase in small portions. I know the taste, texture and appearance of fresh fish. Unfortunately, that is not what I received from Yokoso Sushi. The owner of Yokoso Sushi commented on a reviewer's post apologizing the quality of the food did not meet the reviewer's taste. The quality of ingredients and flavor of the two dishes I received were rancid. I took a single sip of the miso and two bites of a single piece of the roll - one without and the other with the soy sauce/wasabi mix. I ate the remaining piece and an additional piece of the roll with the soy sauce. Without the sauce, I could not eat the remaining roll. The fish in the roll was underwhelming in preparation and quality. Not sure what happened with my order, disappointed it did.

We planned ahead and made a reservation since we had a large group, and our table was already ready when we arrived, which I really appreciated. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. You can truly feel the family-oriented vibes--they took the time to get to know us and checked in throughout the dinner without being overbearing. The menu has so many good options that it was hard to choose, so I went with a 3-item bento box. I ordered the salmon teriyaki, mixed sashimi, and mixed tempura. The bento also came with miso soup, salad, and a side of rice. The portions were HUGE--I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day (not complaining at all!). The fish was fresh, the salmon teriyaki was flavorful, and the tempura was perfectly crispy and delicious. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

They treat everyone who walks through that door like family and the service is extremely friendly. They are also very family oriented. They were always chatting with our kiddos and other kiddos at other tables. The amount of food they give you is crazy. The rolls were humongous! We were too hungry and I forgot to snap a photo, but they were HUGE. Our 2 item bento boxes were also XL. There was so much food! It was actually a little overwhelming. 1 piece of sashimi is actually 2 or 3 (they slice it really thick---which I'm actually not a fan of). The tempura was delicious. They were big pieces and I felt like they were prepared and fried well. Not overly greasy and the batter was nice. The fish seemed fresh, but I really don't care for thick slices of sashimi. Overall, everything was good, but the fish threw me off. I feel like you lack finesse when you do thick pieces of fish. The rolls also had so much rice. If you value quantity over quality, definitely recommend. If you value quality over quantity, I'd maybe skip.
