Incredible Sushi, Incredible Hosts! Thanks you Jo, it is always such a great experience to be here. My favorite roll is the Ken Special! Highly recommend!

Rainbow roll & 49'ers roll

Excellent service and dine-in experience here. My mom and I were offered a comfortable booth upon arrival. They gave us free veggie gyoza (4.5/5), which were good and crispy. We ordered side salads (4/5) and two sushi rolls (3.5/5) - rainbow and 49ers. I don't love the rolls here, as what they do with the rice isn't to my liking. They're also quite large, and one roll was enough for me. I would probably avoid rolls and just get sashimi or a bento box next time. We were also given free shrimp pops (4/5) during our meal, which were tasty! It was very generous of them. The hot tea refills were also plentiful.

High quality, delicious sushi that will leave you craving for more! Came for lunch on a weekday with my friend. It was both our first time here, but I've been meaning to take her based on the great reviews. We stepped inside and were greeted and seated right away. The inside was cozy, clean, and didn't feel cramped. * Shrimp pops - crispy and yummy shrimp pops given on the house! * Seafood soba - my friend shared some with me and it was very tasty! The noodles had a satisfying chew and the broth was hot, but not too hot to burn your mouth on. Loved the variety of tender seafood in it too. Broth wasn't too salty either. * Volcano roll - I didn't try it, but my friend said it was good. * Nigiri hamachi belly, sake belly, and toro - these were the BEST nigiri I've had around Concord. The fish cuts were huge and there was more fish than rice in each piece. The fish was fresh, fatty, and melt-in-your-mouth tender... Just how I like it! My go-to for amazing nigiri was in Izumi Sushi in Serramonte (sadly a little far from me), but now I'm glad to have discovered the amazing nigiri at Honda Sushi! They were plated together with the volcano roll. I believe the gentleman who brought the sushi to us was the owner, Mr. Honda. Loved his smile and friendly demeanor. * Bento box salmon shioyaki and mixed tempura with salad, miso soup, rice, wakame, and orange slice - the tempura pieces were big and crunchy! I would prefer the salmon shioyaki to be a little more oily, but it was still good. Loved the miso soup and the light dressing on the salad. I ordered this thinking the nigiri wouldn't be that big or satisfying, but I ended up being relatively satisfied after the nigiri and took about half of the bento box home. My friend and I did arrive close to the end of the lunch hours, so one of the servers politely asked us to pay and pack our leftovers so they could clean up and prep for the dinner service. We were mostly finished with our food at that point, so we didn't mind. Oh man, I'm craving the hamachi belly, sake belly, and toro nigiri soooo bad now. I plan to come here again and bring my family next time!

I always have the best time here every single visit! I've been coming for sushi for years now, and it truly never disappoints. The uni, salmon and hamachi nigiri are absolutely incredible--some of the best I've ever had. The fish is always fresh, the slices are perfect, and the quality is consistently top-notch. It's definitely one of those amazing hole-in-the-wall spots that you're so glad you discovered!

Happy hump day! Always a good time at Mr. Honda

Honda is the best!! This beautiful assortment of fresh fishes (salmon, hamachi, tuna, toro) was so delish along with some of the special rolls/ Spicy scallop roll, Cooked scallop roll, Ken's Special Roll, Dragon Roll, Philadelphia roll.

Came back here after a long hiatus. I was not happy with the previous service due to their "cutting costs" methods. However 9 years later, and the tempura is still fire. It may be $33 for a 3 item bento, but the portions are HUGE (tempura wise). The fish was ok. It wasn't the best cuts or quality, but still better than some places. The interior is the same. Hasn't changed. I would consider coming back here over other spots occasionally, especially for the tempura.

So good and I had to review it twice! And now with plenty of pictures to match! This is a neighborhood sushi spot run by amazing staff especially the owner! I love having a solo sushi date here and ordering all of my favorite dishes. I always order salmon rolls, salmon nigiri and spicy tuna rolls. Another great thing about Honda Sushi is the complimentary gyoza right when you sit down. A great spot for small or large parties with a very nice ambiance inside.

Nigiri. I already ate a salmon nigiri and some of the fatty tuna. HUGE slices of fish.

The food is always so delicious and fresh. Im from the North Bay and will pay the toll just to come here. I usually get the bento box with sashimi but instead got the nigiri today. HUGE PORTIONS for the nigiri. I got an order of fatty tuna, salmon, and Saba. The rice to meat ratio was phenomenal. Service is always excellent. The several times I've gone, they give you complimentary gyoza. I always bring family and friends to Honda because it is one of the best places to get sushi in the area.

This place is amazing! Huge menu and great authentic vibe. Not only is the sushi super delicious/fish very fresh, the staff is so friendly. We got complementary gyoza, shrimp pops, and the owner even came over to our table and did sake shots with us on the house! A lovely experience through and through. Can't wait to go back!

Shrimp Lollipop!

We just left Honda Sushi Restaurant! Friendly servers, pleasant atmosphere and they had our fave Classic Rock playing for our listening enjoyment! Best of all is their great menu with your favorite dish probably on it!. Mr. Honda himself sent a couple of yummy treats to our table! Great destination for Japanese fare...definitely try their Tempura (deep fried) Green Tea Ice Cream (shareable! YUM! Sorry, barely got a chance to take pictures!)

Such a good time and the waitress staff was fantastic! Great personalities, very attentive, knew the menu inside and out. Great time - and a fair price for sushi! Some opinions of what we had.... Miso soup...very mild, light fish flavors, served nicely warm but not piping hot.  Pan fried gyoza.... tender, light, airy, smooth, great appetizer.  Unagi....a little dry, mild flavor, add a pinch of wasabi and it really pops. Solid product. Rainbow roll.... clean, light, nice and creamy, mild flavors. Delicious. Lucky roll.... our son wouldn't let me try it but he said it was good and delicious. Double hamachi....Great fresh fish, nicely made, easy to eat, adding an extra pop of wasabi erupted the flavors.

Told they'd be ready in five minutes which I thought was interesting. I arrived 15 minutes after placing the order, The place was empty- it was around 4PM on a weekday. No welcome in or hello from staff, I was asked "pick up?" And said yes and provided my name. I was informed they were still preparing my order-GOOD. I would've been concerned if it was ready in less time. I handed my payment card to the host, she struggled with inserting the card into the square device, as well as holding the chip over the device as well. After about 3 minutes she figured it out. I was handed my receipt to fill out. She watched as I filled in the respected lines. I did not leave a tip - as it was a up order, and service thus far was not to par. I waited for my order... 8 minutes later it was ready. Before leaving I checked the bag, order correct, but lacking my preference of soy sauce. I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me. She did, came out and handed it to me with what I interpreted was an annoyed look. I said thank you and left. Fascinating to say the least. I guess I was asking for too much. Sushi was decent. Hit the spot. But have had better.

The online ordering process was a breeze. It was done through DoorDash. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and brought my order to me when it was ready. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained. I really wanted to love this place as it is near two places our daughter enjoys frequenting. The Rolls Royce is a fried roll with tuna, yellow tail and salmon ($16.45) which I ordered accompanied by miso soup ($2.75). The soy sauce cup was barely filled, approximately a fifth full. If you look at the cup in the sushi photo, the soy sauce does not even attempt to cover the bottom. I was able to dip one and two-third pieces of the roll before running out. The size of roll pieces are decent, but for the price the order should be seven pieces versus the five I received. I would be satisfied with five pieces if the quality of the fish was fresh and vibrant in flavor. I received neither. The fish tasted dated. It lacked the flavor tuna, yellow tail and salmon bring. As for the miso soup, I received two pieces of tofu in my soup. The taste of the soup itself tasted as though it was on the verge of molding. Once a week, I frequent Tokyo Fish Market in Berkeley where fresh fish is sold daily. Yellow tail and ahi tuna are two selections I regularly purchase in small portions. I know the taste, texture and appearance of fresh fish. Unfortunately, that is not what I received from Yokoso Sushi. The owner of Yokoso Sushi commented on a reviewer's post apologizing the quality of the food did not meet the reviewer's taste. The quality of ingredients and flavor of the two dishes I received were rancid. I took a single sip of the miso and two bites of a single piece of the roll - one without and the other with the soy sauce/wasabi mix. I ate the remaining piece and an additional piece of the roll with the soy sauce. Without the sauce, I could not eat the remaining roll. The fish in the roll was underwhelming in preparation and quality. Not sure what happened with my order, disappointed it did.
