After some communication issues and disappointing experiences back in 2020, I recently spoke with the owner, Nat. He took the time to listen to my concerns and assured me that their vegan food is now prepared and kept separate from non-vegan items, unlike my experience in the past. I appreciated that he listened without being dismissive and seemed to genuinely care about both his customers and the quality of the food they serve. normally love this place for take out and for dining in but the last few times have been a flop. dined in with my family a couple of months ago and my family ordered a yellow curry for the table. it was pretty good but as we were like halfway through we noticed a grey hair in the curry sauce... then, today, my family and i go and have another little dine in dinner and the server brings out food to a different table, setting it down, and then bringing it to us when he realized his mistake. with a quick google search, we see that this is in fact against FDA Food Code guidelines as it poses a cross contamination threat. I ask the waitress (different than the food runner) if this is accurate and if it is a violation to which she says yes and then takes our food away. we do have to wait quite a bit of time until our remade food comes out but it is what it is. additionally, when the remade food arrives, the non baked sushi looks exactly the same as it was before. im guessing their plating skills are exquisite and accurate because the waitress saw my concern and also brought out the contaminated plate to show us that the one at our table was newly made, as shown in the photos. i really appreciated that clarification but it seems as though they just don't care about basic health code protocol here or constantly slip up, which is rather unfortunate. and all in the name of having some japanese/thai food with the family. read more

I had not been here for quite some time but decided to pick up a lunch special on Wednesday 9/23:26. I Ordered the Kapraw (Basil Chicken) with ground chicken with medium heat . That lunch special was AMAZING! The entree was so flavorful and had a nice amount of sauce. The salad dressing was fantastic. I was so happy with it I went to work and told my Colleagues how great the food was. I decided to go back today on my way home to have more of the same Basil Chicken. I was SO disappointed that it tasted NOTHING like it did the day before. It was so dry and had no flavor at all. My compliments to the chef on Wednesday 9/23/26 in afternoon, it was AMAZING and my suggestion for them to pass along the delicious food preparation to the other chefs to make it consistent. read more

Finally got a chance to try this local Thai spot! There aren't too many Thai spots to choose from in Walnut Creek but I can day this is close to one of my top options if you wanted to stay within Walnut Creek. I really loved having broccoli and chinese broccoli in my phad se-ew, best of both worlds! You have an option to add spiciness to it, usually pad see ew wouldn't have the option to add any spice but i like that it is an option for anyone feeling a little adventurous. It was a Yelp found! A gem and local mom and pop store. Loved that it was a mixture of Thai and Japanese cuisine. We came for the Thai dishes. The rice noodle with gravy was really good! Had a lunch special at Thai Thani Oishi and tried both the pad see ew and pad Thai. The pad Thai was a bit soggy, and the pad see ew tasted more like pad kee mao, so not exactly my favorite. Great quality & taste Since the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean everything looked. We were greeted by a friendly host and seated promptly. We ordered the Yum Nua salad and loved how fresh and tasty it was. We also ordered the Mango Tango sushi and were very pleased with the mix of flavors and freshness without being over priced. The plates were big enough to share and left us satisfied. Tom, our server, was very nice too; he kept refilling our water and was very helpful when we were ordering . We were there around 12ish on a Sunday. There wasnt many people and so we were seated right away. The chirashi was ok and def not the best. The poke bowl was big serving but it was a lot of rice. Pad se-eew was actually yummy. We ate couple bit of the sushi roll so you know what that means. The place was a lot decorations. Me and my sister were running errands by the ygnacio valley plaza and was craving Thai food. We google searched and found this place. I AM SO GLAD WE CAME HERE! Our waitress EVE made me this food experience worth it. She was super welcoming on top of the food being super fresh. My iced coffee tasted like I'm going to be awake till next week (I love the strength). The spice level To their food (which you can ask for on the side) was that THAI spicy. I'm not really into "fusions" but this place has found the key to success. I also like to relay that this place is quite large on top of it having a bar!?! After our group's hike at Shell Ridge, our coordinator had selected Thai Thani for lunch. It's located at the Orchards shopping center and when arrived around 1pm, parking was a little bit of a challenge. The restaurant was quite full, but we were seated at an empty booth. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. The cuisine offered is Thai and Japanese, a combination that I've not seen before. We were given lunch special menus for Thai and Japanese. Since we don't have Thai that often, we all decided on Thai food. With your lunch special, you get a bowl of miso soup and a house salad, which is served on your entrée plate. I got the Pineapple Yellow Curry Fried Rice with chicken. Felt the flavors were a little bland with the flavors was a little lacking. My friends had the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry Chicken and Phad Kee Mao and were pleased with their food. Overall, maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Three Taste Fish with market price of $29 was not fresh at all, it smells. This kind of items in their menu based on "market prices" should be take care more because this are the items that are more expensive and it's like their signature items. It's like a lobster or fresh crabs, when you order, it is always based on the "market price " not fix. Also, the chicken BBQ in the Gai Yang and Som Tum was dry and not so appealing to eat. Shrimp rolls are just ok. Thai ice tea was good and sweet but i cannot taste the Thai tea itself, only the sweetness and the milk. In fairness, they took off 15% out of our bill. read more

Delicious thai and sushi spot in Walnut Creek! Usually I'd be cautious of a place serving both Thai and Japanese but Thai Thani did not disappoint! The pumpkin curry was absolutely spectacular. We also enjoyed a spicy tuna roll and some spicy edamame. Do not recommend the salmon egg rolls however - salmon was dry and overall just a little bland. We came across this place while trying to kill some time near The Ultimate Fieldhouse. The plan was to have some sushi and mango sticky rice for a quick snack. The service was pleasant and friendly. The decor in the restaurant was a bit overcrowded, but there were definitely a lot of interesting things to look at while waiting for our food. We ended up ordering the salmon lover roll, hamachi carpaccio, and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and came out quickly. It's interesting to know that the salmon lover roll only had some salmon on top and was perhaps a bit scarce. We will definitely come back and explore the Thai menu when we have more time! read more

Delicious and lovely ambiance. We were there for lunch on Friday around 1:15. No wait to be seated. I had the bento box with tempura shrimp and teriyaki beef. Everything was great and the quality of the beef was better than my local Japanese restaurant and tempura was very nice too. My husband had the curry pineapple fried rice and his salad had a nice topping. He really liked it and I should have tasted more than my one bite. Although this restaurant serves both Thai Cuisine and Japanese Cuisine, this review is strictly based on Thai Cuisine. The restaurant is very spacious and big. There is two sections of seating when you walk in. The service is quick and tentative. We never felt rushed or hurried when we placed our orders. What we ordered: Pad Thai, Green Curry, Tom Yum Goong for the mains. For appetizers - Papaya Salad and Chicken Satay. Chicken Satay - the peanut sauce that comes with the dish is amazing. Pairing it with the chicken, the veggies and greens - absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend trying this dish/appetizer. Papaya Salad - It was okay. It was really saucey. They remade it for us but it was still really saucey but we didn't want to make too much of a fuss. My mom thought it came with seafood like shrimp and squid but she may have confused it with another dish lol. It comes with papaya (of course), tomatoes, peanuts, chili, and bell peppers. Pad Thai - classic Thai staple that consists of rice noodles, eggs, chicken, bean sprouts, scallions, ground peanutes with side of lemon wedges. Really delicious and they give a lot of noodles and proteins. The sauce ratio was perfect for this dish and I enjoyed every single bite. Tom Yum Goong - also delicious and pairs well with the pad thai. Sharp sour after taste that doesn't linger too long and makes you want to go back for more. Not too spicy either so it made it really enjoyable. Lots of mushrooms came with this soup. Green Curry with Chicken - Usually not something I would order but my family likes this. Has a nice spiced aftertaste kick. Comes with lots of chicken slices and bell peppers which the family loved so it suits them. Their menu is pretty massive so I would definetely try other Thai dishes or even their Japanese section to see how that holds up. read more

I was famished and done with my doc appt near by and had a hankering for Thai, Yelp to the rescue! I ordered the Phad Panang lunch special. Food came out quickly, with a miso soup as 1st course. Seems a bit odd to have that soup when I wasn't ordering Japanese, but ok. I ate half of the miso bc I was really wanting to enjoy all of my lunch and didn't want to fill up. The food was tasty, just wish the portions were a bit more generous. Honestly, I'd forgo the salad for more of the curry. I feel like salad is a filler and with the miso, double wammy. The panang chicken was sliced thin and on the skimpy side. I probably wouldn't go again unless I was in the area and not too hungry. Service was good. They have so many great options and its very filling, no portion is too small that you won't find yourself full. Soup and Salad come with each lunch option, but keep in mind there are no substitutions on the specials! There's plenty of amazing seating and I love the decorations here, its honestly beautiful. It's a great spot for lunch or dinner with various levels of spices but they're usually hesitant on upping the spice unless you push. nbd. Today I noticed a group of 4 who seemed to have had a relationship with the staff of some sort walked in and the minute they walked in my server literally walked away from me mid sentence to attend to them, from there all her attention went to these 4 as I sat waiting and attempting to get her attention. Came in for quick Friday grab and go, and I got slightly disappointed of the food quality. Ramen soup was just a bowl of thick, semi cooked noodles with a few slices of pork belly. Thai Tani sampler turned out to be deep-fried (spring rolls and crab pockets) platter with a bit on the dryer side chicken kebabs. The saver was "911 Rolls" requested and personalized by assumed owner or manager of the place. Overall design seemed a bit cluttered with authentic pieces, being chaotically installed all over the restaurant. Pro: No wait, even on a long weekend Saturday. The restaurant is nearly empty the whole time. Con: The food is way too sweet--like, ridiculously sweet. The Tom Yum Soup, for example, was 0% spicy and 120% sweet. Same goes for the Tiger Tears Beef and other dishes. The Pad Thai's rice noodles were undercooked, kind of hard. Service was non-existent. There were about 3-4 waitresses, but only 2-3 tables to serve. Despite being there for 1-1.5 hours, we had to walk up to them to order and ask for more rice. For water, we had to grab the bottle from one of their tables to refill ourselves. We could hear the waitresses chatting nearby but never once did any of them check in to see if we needed anything. And be careful when paying--an 18% tip is automatically added to the check, which is fine, but after paying with our credit card, another gratuity option popped up on the screen. Been dying to try this for a while and it did not disappoint. The spicy tuna roll was fresh and spicy. The chicken karaage was crispy without being greasy. The pad see-ew with beef was tender and full of flavor. We also had the tempura cheesecake which was rich and decadent. Green tea ice cream was the perfect complement. This review is really 3.5 stars but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and rounding up to 4. I have been craving a Thai curry for the last few days so I decided to place an order tonight while waiting in line at CVS to pick up a prescription. I ordered a yellow curry with tofu with mild spice. Food was ready when I arrived and the hostess helped me as soon as I walked in. Love that they had a candy dish. Unfortunately, they left out the tofu. At first, I thought the tofu was at the bottom because there weren't many vegetables in my initial serving. Though the majority of veggies were at the bottom, there was NO tofu at all. Even though tofu didn't cost extra, I'm still bummed because if I ordered it with tofu, I should have got tofu. Also, I wasn't crazy about the water chestnuts but that's just a personal preference. I ordered the pad see ew with tofu last year, which I really liked. Perhaps the curries aren't Thai Thani's strength or tonight was an off night. Next time I want curry, I'll order from My Thai (as I loved theirs when I ordered through DoorDash last month) or Thai Table (haven't tried their curries). Would I order from TT again? Yes, but I would stick to their noodle dishes. I'm curious how their pad Thai is so maybe I'll get that next time. Hopefully, they will get my next order right! read more

I don't usually enjoy Asian fusion spots but I've been to this spot multiple times while randomly in the area & they have yet to disappoint. I've tried both foods from their Thai and Japanese menus & enjoyed both. I hella love Thai food but my man doesn't want it as often as I do so coming here actually is a win for both of us. He enjoys the poke bowl because the fish is fresh, although we wish there were more toppings/sauce options and that they mixed it with the fish like other poke spots. I tried their tofu special the other day & had to order some to go cus it was that good. Crispy outside, soft inside & full of that salt & pepper flavor. The lunch bentos were perfect for takeout when my mom & I had to rush out before an appointment & they were packaged well. My husband & I also enjoyed the happy hour menu. The crab puffs were hittin the spot, I wasn't hella in love with the lemongrass beef and I wish the karaage came with an aioli instead of teriyaki sauce. I'll be back! Good Part: Since they have Thai and Japanese menus together, you have various menu options. Bad Part: Very slow. It talkes more than 20 mins whatever you order. And The food are rather salty, especially on Thai food menus. We ordered Green Curry and Padseaw and they are tooo.... salty...... unbelivably salty. I probably pour 3/4 cup of water in the green curry but still salty. Also they don't offer rice along with the curry. You have to order separately. And pad seawe is also very salty but I cannot do anything about it. read more
