New Hidden TREASURE!! This restaurant with Chef Rasa is a GEM in the east bay, I love the expansive menu from appetizers, entrees, meat options and DESSERT! Definitely a must try if you're in the area looking to exprience true thai cuisine and flavors. You can taste the Farmers market veggies the freshness and quality. My new go-to for a flavorful meal so many choices to choose. Great atmosphere, very clean & Don't skip on the Grilled Beef Salad I can't wait to work my way through the menu everything is so delicious!

This was our first time trying Rasa Thai. It is in a slightly out of the way location at the intersection of Gregory Lane and Pleasant Hill Road and tgeyvare waiting for their official sign. So it is a little hard to find, but it is worth looking for. The service was great, the place was light and airy with a hand painted mural on one wall. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The portion sizes were bigger than I expected and the amount of protein was very generous. We got vegetarian spring rolls, Green Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Pad see Yoo and Thai Iced Tea. Everything was delicious. I have been searching for a Thai restaurant that makes a good Papaya salad and Rasa's exceeded my expectations expectations. The Chef gave us a complimentary portion of sweet sticky rice with mango. It was SO GOOD!! We will definitely go back.

I had the chance to visit on their opening day, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm, cozy, and impeccably clean. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Pad Se Ew, Sukhothai noodles, eggplant with chicken, Kao Mun Kai, and papaya salad. Every dish was delicious, generously portioned with tender meat, and full of authentic Thai flavors.

Been going here for years, new owner now. Gave it a try, got a vegetable green curry and chicken red curry. Very good, possibly better than before! Will be coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of character. The décor blends modern style with traditional Thai touches, creating a comfortable yet vibrant dining space. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with bold, authentic flavors and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The balance of sweet, spicy, sour, and savory was spot on. The Pad Thai was one of the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked noodles with just the right amount of tang and richness. The Tom Yum soup was incredibly flavorful, with a deep, aromatic broth that had the perfect kick of spice. We also ordered a curry dish that was rich, creamy, and full of depth--easily a standout. What really made the experience even better was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to explain dishes and offer recommendations, which made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The presentation of the food was also impressive--each dish looked as good as it tasted. It's clear that a lot of care and passion goes into everything they serve. Overall, Saneh Bangkok is a must-visit if you're looking for authentic Thai food in a great atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just visiting Thailand, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

I had made a reservation because I didn't know how crowded the place could get especially on Mother's Day but glad I did. The food was amazing and tasted great. It had been a while since I had eaten Thai food but coming here definitely reminded me of how much I missed it. I ordered the red curry chicken with a side of Jasmin rice. This was my first time trying red curry as I usually order yellow curry. I do have to mention that it was spicier than I thought and definitely made me have a runny nose but nothing I couldn't handle lol. The fried chicken wings were also amazing and definitely loved the crunchiness to it. It was cooked really through and I enjoyed that. Everything had just enough spices to really enjoy the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai food near Pleasant Hill.

I had been by the area a few times but I never noticed it because it's so tucked away. It's worth taking a look into nonetheless! I went on a Saturday night and it was actually pretty quiet, some people came by to eat or pick up orders but luckily it wasn't overly busy. It is a smaller restaurant, so it would likely accommodate smaller parties but i believe you can make reservations for larger parties as well. I really liked the appetizers! I couldn't choose so i decided to get the Secret of the Thai Village for all the above! I appreciated that the food was never too heavy or salty, it sat at a good level for me. The food portions were slightly smaller than expected but still a decent serving size. Thought this place is deep into pleasant hill and may be tucked away it's worth the try! The pricing is OK for the most part and the plating is all very nicely done. Bring your friends and loved ones to this lovely family owned business for a try sometime!

I wasn't going to argue with the restaurant's policy despite it being almost empty. I was mostly dismayed and taken aback how curt the young hostess with the eyebrow piercing was towards us. She was patient as our large party tried to figure out our orders. She ensured all our food and drinks arrived as ordered. Our meals were tasty, but portions were on the smaller size. We enjoyed the roti with 3 different curry sauce. Volcanic beef was delicious. I enjoyed the Pad Thai so much that I ordered an extra to go. We all loved the mango lover dessert. You can skip the tom yum paella since the portion was extremely small.

Updated the review to a 1 star…read more The worst and rudest service I have ever experienced. I very rarely give 1 star. I've done over 300 reviews and only given out 13 reviews with 1 star. I'm an easy person to please, I'm not some demanding Karen...but this place definitely deserves a big fat thumbs down. We are regulars here, and when we have out of town visitors, this is one of the places we take them to. Today family was visiting for Thanksgiving, so we took them here, 11/26/2025 at 6:30pm. Only 1 table was dining in, but had a handful of to-go orders. Dirty dishes were piled on every table. No acknowledgement, even after waiting 15 mins. I wanted to leave, but the rest decided to stay. We cleared and wiped down our own table, sat ourselves. 7:00pm- Server finally comes to take our order. He is extremely rude. Sighs, rolling his eyes, angry tone, major attitude. The final straw was when we requested if he could read the order back to us, and he said "NO!" and stomped away. It felt like we were on some prank show, but sadly it wasn't. We decided to leave. We told him that he was rude, but he didn't care. The place was empty when we left, we were the only customers, so they definitely weren't busy. I guess he wanted to go home early. Suffice to say, I can cross off this place from my list. We ended up going right down the street to Saneh Bangkok, where we had an amazing meal, with great service. Seems like we weren't alone in our poor experience. There is a 2 star review posted today from someone else with a similar experience- this is a different party, I don't know them. I guess its comforting to know they give angry service to everyone, not just us!
