Great service! Loved the food! We had tom yum soup, chicken eggplant, chicken pai thai, pineapple curry

We visited the restaurant a few days ago for a dine-in experience and were pleasantly surprised to discover a promotion running throughout August. If you dined in on weekdays, you'd receive a complimentary Thai iced tea per guest and 10% off the total bill. That was nice! Had we known earlier, we definitely would've come more often--but unfortunately, we couldn't find any information about it online and only learned about it by visiting in person. And we only found out about it toward the end of the month. Hopefully, if they consider this type of promotion again, they'll advertise it more broadly. As for the food, we ordered some of our usual favorites, like their curry dishes. But this time, we also wanted to be adventurous and try something new/different, so we went with the following: Basil Duck Stir-Fry: This dish features "wok-fried crispy duck" with carrots, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, baby corn, and basil leaves. It was savory and delicious. However, I wouldn't describe the duck as "crispy," especially with the sauce softening it. That said, the flavor was still excellent, and we really enjoyed it. Pad See Ew: A classic Thai dish made with wide rice noodles stir-fried with egg, broccoli, and carrots, flavored with a dark sweet soy sauce. The wise noodles were nicely cooked and soaked up all that rich, sweet flavor. Definitely a favorite. One note of caution: when it comes to spice level, "medium" here means spicy! We ordered medium for all our dishes and were sweating by the end of the meal! Next time, we'll definitely go with mild. Service was excellent, and the restaurant was very nice and super well air-conditioned on the inside. read more

We were here for Mothers Day with my mom, children and my brothers family, the food was not good, the fish was overcooked and dry I wasn't able to eat the flesh of the fish because it was so toasted that there's no more fish meat left and it's expensive for the price! The tomyum soup was diluted and less seafoods in it, no not a good one! Calamari is chewy and small portion, rice was not good quality. Only 1 waiter for the whole restaurant. Koon Thai Kitchen is a neighborhood favorite that we have enjoyed for many years. We prefer to dine in ... and usually have enough for leftovers. They seem to do a brisk takeout business. During Covid they were a lifesaver for us. We didn't use Doorsdash as they delivered directly. Good people; good food! read more

Came here wanting to support because times are tough for small businesses. They were completely empty during what should be dinner rush. The food wasn't authentic and a few of the dishes were too salty and tasted awful which was a disappointment. The service was terrible. When I started to mirror her behavior she took her phone out and started recording our family eat. Which is what led me to write a review. You've got to be so out of touch with reality, to treat a family that just ordered 150 worth of food so poorly. Especially when we came with respect and support. She gossiped about us in the back so loud just to make sure we could hear her. Why in the world would you treat a family with kids this way? Hackling the entire time we were eating. Her issue with us started when she brought the sticky rice out and I was shocked at how very little they gave for 3.50 each. It was half the size of my husbands palm. So for our family of 4 to have just a few bites of rice, we had to spend well over $15.00 with tax. That's ISNANE!! This is not a Michelin star restaurant , and they can't be overcharging customers. This was the first time ever we've been scammed that hard. No wonder why they dont advertise photos of their sticky rice. No one would dare buy it. Once the owner (who I'm assuming was the cook in the back who was also partaking in the gossip) realized I've had enough and started to take photos of their very empty restaurant, his smile left his face and he snapped back into reality. They then offered to eat the cost of the sticky rice. Word of advice: DO NOT ORDER THEIR STICKY RICE. Just order their bowl of steam rice. Would definitely not come here again. My favorite Thai food spot. Although I do order and have it delivered so this is just about the food itself. The medium spicy here is really spicy as it should be. I don't even know how spicy the options above this would be. Go to order is Pad Thai with chicken, medium spicy. Lots of flavor. And lots of chicken too. I have also had the Tom Yum soup, medium spicy. Could be a little better with packaging as the plastic container does warp due to how hot the soup is causing it deform the top and leak out. Nonetheless, super good. I have also had the Thai basil fried rice, medium spicy. This has a lot of Thai chilis for medium and it will work up a solid sweat. Delicious nonetheless. Reviewed this place in the past with a 5 star review, was one of two top thai food in the area. Other is Love Thai. Unfortunately this place has new management. Same casual ambience, very kind cheerful staff (which made me do 3 star instead of 2) but the food is nothing like it was before. We got a big order - $170 worth of food - all our favorite dishes - and we do not plan to return. The curries, pad thai, vegetables, meat dishes, none of it like it was before. The thai iced coffee was still good, so were the fresh spring rolls. But the other dishes were ok to eat but not a treat to return to, especially in retrospect of how good it used to be. read more

We came on a weekday when it wasn't so busy and got our food very quickly. My favorite was the Cashew Nut with tofu. It almost tastes like a vegetarian version of General Tsao's chicken from a Chinese restaurant. But none the less it was very tasty. This past Halloween, I had the chance to come back to Koon Thai Kitchen again ,after working out of town. Today I ordered tamarind shrimp, pad prik khing pork, pad thai crispy chicken and tom yum seafood. Everything tasted authentic and delicious as always. Plus, I even got a cute Halloween bag for my takeout order -- such a nice touch! I'm really impressed with this place and highly recommend them. The waitress is horribly rude. The food is good and I've ordered a few times but won't be back because she is absolutely vile and uncivil. She was giving me attitude for arriving late to pick up my order, saying we closed already. I showed her the business hours listed on Google, and she stood corrected. It was date night for me and the hubby and I've been craving Thai food. I was surprised at first because I thought the menu didn't look super Thai, but I flipped to the back of the menu where the noodles are and my eyes lit up. I'd usually go for the pad see ew but I saw the curry noodles and it just called to me. I ordered the curry noodles with tofu. The curry was delicious... a good yellow curry. My husband tasted some an agreed. It was flavorful and rich but thin and light. There was a good amount of veggies and tofu, curry and noodles. The dish was very filling... I had to take leftovers home. The lady working who seated us had a friendly smile but we didn't really see her after she brought our food to us. The food is good, but it's been just too many mistakes to keep going there. My family and I have ordered takeout six times now over the past few years. But of the six times, once they lost our order and tonight they forgot to make two of the dishes. After waiting nearly 15 min beyond our pickup time, they rushed out our food.
