First time trying it after new ownership. Went for lunch on Sunday and I actually think the food is better. They no longer offer lunch special on weekends but we got the Dinner Special ehich includes fried rice and soup and appetizers. About $22 per person without tax and tip. Plenty of food with leftovers. Tge special also included hot tea which was served in these adorable teacups. The service was great. They were prompt and refilled our waters regularly and checked in on us often. The food is typical Chinese American but I thought it was lighter on the sauce and fry, so didn't feel as heavy as before. Still came out freah and hot. It was mostly locals when we came and that's how I remembered it. Still a good local favorite when you have that craving. read more

Visited Mann's Chinese Cuisine on National Crab Rangoon Day, hoping to celebrate with a good bite. The service was fast, which I appreciated, but the lemon chicken came out overcooked and drowned in sauce. The honey walnut prawns, though, were a highlight--crispy, lightly fried, and perfectly coated in a sweet honey mayo sauce. Definitely delicious, but for the lunch special had 6 prawns. For the chow mein, I was expecting more of the usual mix of cabbage, shredded carrots, and celery. The portions were on the smaller side for the price, especially compared to Panda Express, where for $14 you get double the portion size of chow mein and honey walnut shrimp. Mann's lunch specials go until 3 PM and are priced at $13-$14, which is fair but the portions are smaller. The crab rangoon, was crunchy to bite into and filled with cream cheese. It didn't have any crab, or even imitation crab, or garlic flavor I was hoping for. Overall, some dishes hit the mark, but others need a bit more attention. If you're around, try the honey walnut shrimp maybe for dinner. read more

Everything I've ordered recently has been overcooked, and tasted terribly bad. Potstickers had a weird off taste, and were burnt on the bottom. They don't include hot mustard sauce. The Honey Walnut Shrimp came overcooked, and smothered in a sauce so sweet it made it not edible. Tried two different Chicken entrees on two different days - both were tough, rubbery in texture, salty and the sauces tasted bad. Even the rice was overcooked and dry. On the plus side no take out order ever took longer than 10 minutes and come very hot. Will not be going back. read more

I've been coming here since I was a little boy in the 1990s. Recently, I brought my girlfriend to share the nostalgic flavors I once loved. Unfortunately, things have changed--and not for the better. We were told to sit "wherever" and handed a paper menu. After placing our order, the food arrived in less than ten minutes. That's never a good sign. The lemon chicken was dry around the edges and parts were so tough they were nearly impossible to chew. My fried rice was unevenly heated--some parts lukewarm, others steaming hot--clearly microwaved. To make matters worse, the appetizer--pot stickers--came out at the same time as the entrees. Instead of the crispy, flavorful texture Mann's used to be known for, they were soft, mushy, and filled with hot goopy mush. Smh... such a shame. read more

I bought food to go and told them I need bottled water (to buy). They said the (2) Asian women staff that they don't sell bottled water. They serve only "tap" water. I was craving Chinese food so I decided to see what was in Concord since I work in Concord. I came across this location so I decided to order some take out for lunch! I ordered the walnut shrimp lunch special and beef chow fun. I have been craving beef chow fun so I was really excited for this. I have to admit - the walnut shrimp here is pretty on point. It definitely met my expectation! It was fried exactly the way I like it, I don't like it when the walnut shrimp is fried like little bubbles and the batter fills up like a balloon. This was one was lightly and crispy deep fried and tossed in the delicious honey, mayo sauce. The sides that came with it were nothing special, pretty simple rice and noodles without too much seasoning. The beef chow fun was pretty disappointing. I felt like it didn't have much flavor or seasoning, I wasn't happy with it. I don't think I'll return for the beef chow fun but if I am ever craving walnut shrimp, this is the place to go!! read more

We just had the same exact experience as another posted review. We've been eating at Mann's for the past thirty years and always loved the food. The recent change of ownership has taken the restaurant in sad direction. We went for a late lunch, and ordered our usual dishes, and an order of pot stickers, thinking we'd start with the pot stickers. Our Kung Pow chicken, Mongolian beef, and sting been chicken showed up in just minutes of the order being placed. This made us very suspicious if this was even our order. All three dishes looked kind of dried out and none of them were hot, they luke warm at best. About 5 minutes after receiving the food our pot stickers showed up. They were hot and great as ever. The other dishes had them same flavors as we remembered but were dried out and not hot, obviously they were pre prepared, and either microwaved or served from chafing dishes. It's sad to see one of our families old time favorites take such a turn in the wrong direction, after its recent sale. If we want massed produced chafing dish food we'll go to Panda, it's usually hot and is half the price. I'm sure we'll give Mann's another shot as we love their food, but if something doesn't change in their preparation it will be our last. read more

I have been looking for amazing Crab Rangoon in the area, and this place is by far the best I have tasted thus far. I also got the lunch menu and had the orange chicken, and my friend gave me some of their Honey Walnut Prawns. It came with rice and chow mien, and it was so reasonably priced! Yall the service was quick, and they were so nice! I really wouldn't mind coming here and eating in-house again. My friends and I all had a great time! Absolutely not! Never quite had orange chicken the way they prepare it but I tried it anyways but I should have gone with my gut(no pun) from the pics. The Mongolian beef had a very nice flavor except they gave me a POUND of onions and about 4 small strips that I had to search for, not worth it. And the General TSO should be removed from duty, most pieces were very hard and couldn't be chewed. Maybe it was a bad night but I feel robbed of 95 bucks. The BBQ pork chow mien is excellent! I usually order takeout and it's always hot. Orange chicken is another favorite dish.

Our family have been going to Mann's for many years, Covid hit and we stopped going until last Thursday, we had not eaten all day and my wife suggested Mann's so off we went, dinner was ok but not what we had remembered from years earlier, we both around midnight felt stomach cramps, we both had yellow diarrhea, sweating off and on for 2 days, it's been over a week and we're not back to normal. This has been my favorite spot since I was a kid, and it still is. The people are kind, they are genuine, and they give excellent service. Jen is an absolute pillar of the Concord community and is sweet and can get you what you want. The food is delicious. The hot and sour soup used to get me through cold and flu season; the sweet and sour chicken in tried and true; the potstickers are a fan favorite; the specials are always delicious and fun; anything on the menu is worthwhile. Mann's is a hidden gem in concord! I finally found a place to crave my honey walnut prawn cravings! I will say I wish it wasn't as bready but I still really enjoy it especially because of its crunch. I will also get the house chow mein and/or the beef chow fun. Those are delicious as well. My family ordered the green pepper beef along with the salt and pepper chicken wings but i wasn't able to try it. My dad said the wings were a little to bready for his liking but it still had a good crunch and flavor. My family will definitely continue to order take out from here!! wow, what a disappointment not many really good restaurants in Concord. Nine of us went there. it was freezing cold inside. Been there probably 100 times since it's been open. Under new ownership. Placed order when they brought out dishes they were served on the smaller serving dishes. Could not even get one spoonful to each person. They obviously are cutting way back half portion sizes previous visits. Ordered spicy food no spice at all. Chow mein was bland. Cocktails were super weak. All nine of us agreed would not return. My family and I have been coming to Mann's for more than 8 years. The servers know us and our orders well-even though I've graduated college now, one of them still remembers my order from high school! If you dine in, the restaurant is pretty quiet and calm, and always well air conditioned. We ordered from them May 7th, after they finally announced they would reopen. I called at 12 and they said they opened at 1, but they still took my order and told me it would be ready at open time. All items just as good take out as if we dined in! We only go for their lunch specials, which is a great deal and perfect for 1 person. Most dishes are 7.50 with a few special seafood dishes being 8.50. With your lunch special you get a generous portion of your chosen meat, fried or steamed rice, chow mein, and choice of soup (hot and sour is the best!). You can also ask for all rice or all chow mein for your sides. If you dine in, you also get a basket of crispy wonton strips with a dipping sauce. If you order take out, you do not soup with the lunch order. My family and I have tried many items on the menu, and we have enjoyed all of them as they are very flavorful. Some favorites are almond chicken, Mongolian beef, and orange chicken. If you want no-nonsense Chinese food, this is the place to go, especially for lunch as their deal just can't be beat. read more

"Mann oh Mann"! A Chinese food restaurant... with a full service BAR inside? Um... need I say more?! Oh yes, indeed I will because I have to exploit this local Chinese food sensation. I frequent the pizza place that's located a few doors down from this restaurant regularly. I have to admit, many of the prior Yelp reviews of this place have been less than pleasant. But, something about this place just piqued my interest and led me inside. What piqued my interest, you ask? That happy hour sign that was posted on the door! A Chinese food restaurant with a full service bar AND happy hour specials? Count me IN! I didn't actually make it to the bar this time around, but I basically inhaled my dinner plate. Anyone who knows me probably knows that I'm a ride or die Shan Shan Low fan. I love that Chinese food spot to death! But Mann's Chinese?! Oh yeah... they can get it too. My money, that is (wink). I came here on a Sunday evening and the place was moderately busy. I was greeted right away and sat at a table instantly. What really stuck out to me was the affordability. You get a an entrée plate with fried or steamed rice, an egg roll, a crab Rangoon, and hot and sour soup for less than $12.00! I mean, shut the front door! I know that lunch specials are usually really cheap, but sometimes places really hike up the prices for din din. But, nooot here! Not only is it cheap, but the food is really good here too. Let's start with their hot and sour soup... dee-LISH boo! I've never really been a hot and sour soup fan as I prefer wonton, but I just couldn't get enough of this! They put pieces of pork in their hot and sour soup and the flavors are just wonderful. The egg roll and the crab Rangoon were nice and crispy. The egg roll was packed full of veggies and pork and the Rangoon was filled with creamy crab goodness! For my entrée, I went with their Mongolian beef and accompanied this with their pork fried rice. The Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful and the onions were sautéed perfectly in the sauces. The pork fried rice was fluffy and enjoyable as well but I would have preferred a chicken or shrimp fried rice instead. I love pork but I was a little overwhelmed with all of the pork items on my plate and would have loved a little more diversity. Pork fried rice, pork egg roll, hot and sour soup with... PORK. I was a little porked out, but it was still really good. The only issue I have is that pork fried rice is the only option for their dinner special aside from steamed rice. So if you're not a fan of pork, this place may not work for you. Portion sizes are fair for the cheap price that you pay. I didn't take a box home, but I was definitely left with a full tummy. Service was decent... nothing extraordinary but not bad. My water was refilled and my served checked in on me once before the end of my meal. Ordered from this place on door dash. The menu is pretty good, a wide variety of foods to choose from. Delivery and all went well, all the food was the there and my dasher followed instructions well. The food was okay. Not the best, but not bad either. We ordered seafood soup, general chicken, chow mein, house fried rice, pot stickers, beef teriyaki skewers. Beef teriyaki skewers were a bit bland, did not taste teriyaki like at all. Basically plain meat on a stick. Potstickers had a weird taste to them. Not bad, but also not what we're used to. The filling inside was also very mushy, I couldn't even finish one. House fried rice was good, had lots of flavor and was tasty. General chicken was ... meh. It had flavor but the flavor was a bit off. We're used to general chicken being a bit tangy and spicy. This one was just a bit, off tasting. Wasn't spicy, wasn't tangy but was drenched in sauce. Chow mein didn't have much flavor to it but that was okay with us because my toddler just likes to eat the noodles, lol. So no complaints there. Orange Chicken wow best I ever had not the nugget type, pounded breast of chicken crispy great orange flavor. It was excellent!
