Incredible food.... great friendly service. The szechuan flair is the real deal here folks. So tasty. If you are down with spicy food, this one is hard to beat. The chili fried chicken is particularly good, and I'm certainly going to be back to try other dishes. It is well deserving of its high reviews.

    Some wonderfully tasty Szechuan food.

This has to be the best Chinese food I've ever had this side of the bay. I judge a lot of by a restaurants chow mein and holy shit that's better than the best one in my book in SF and Oakland Chinatown and anywhere here in the area and I've been to all numerous times hoping it's just a fluke. I just was hoping they served a little larger portion. Vivienne was our very pleasant and attentive hostess and server. The place was ridiculously clean and nice as well. Upon entrance she served us hot tea and peanuts. That was already a huge plus. We ordered almost everything under the sun and she had to try to stop us from committing a sin. This is what else we had: Chefs Special chicken wings (they're all flats too Green beans and eggplant-crispy and not soggy swimming in sauce Garlic Crab Fried Rice Wonton in Chilli Oil Chinese Beef Roll- Honey walnut prawns-very flaky, crispy I feel like I hit the lotto with this place as everything was exactly what the name of the joint is called. My absolute new favorite Chinese Restaurant. Can't wait to come back to order the Lamb Cumin and the chili oil fish. It worried I'm going to want the other dishes.

Chili Fried Chicken, Dry Fried Green Beans, vegetable chowmein

We were in the mood for some Chinese food this afternoon and decided to give this place a shot. We ordered the chili crispy chicken, dry fried green beans, vegetable chowmein, potstickers, and spicy pork soup dumplings. When you walk in the atmosphere is very clean and well decorated. The service was okay considering we ordered online & felt it should have been ready upon arrival. As far as flavor goes, it was a bit lacking for our preference. The chili fried chicken had a weird taste to it and it was covered so heavily in chilis there was 3Xs the amount of chilis to chicken pieces. The fried green beans were overcooked a bit, but the flavor was good, very garlicky. The vegetable chowmein was okay, a bit bland, but I did enjoy the bok choy in it. The wrapper of the dumplings and potstickers were perfectly executed, but the filling was very bland and lacked spices altogether.

Man we went here again and it still doesn't miss. I will say we did leave more on the slightly hungry side still compared to previous times but the food was very very good. We tried the salt and pepper tofu and the lotus root. The salt and pepper tofu was really good when we first tried it as it was both super crispy and fluffy in the middle and super flavorful. The lotus root was not what we expected, but it was nice to have a new thing. We plan to come back soon for the chili chicken, fried pork intestines for sure!

Everything was amazing! This is a little gem in the area and I hope more people will give it a shot. Easy ordering with QR code menus and friendly staff.

Tasty Szechwan opened where Los Pacos was. entire infrastructure retrofitted with new decor, seating. Same small parking lot. Seated quickly. Sadly, Monday specials no longer available. Ordered. Food came in 10-15 minutes. Cooked to order. Offerings (Szechwan): soups, dumplings, fried rice, chow fun/mein, hot/dry pot, vegeterian, Specials, appetizers, iron skillets. Chinese American entrees. Bites: Scallion Pancake (6.95) -small pancake with crispy panfried scallion pancake slices. Ok, slightly greasy, needs more scallions, flava. Fish Fillets in Vine Peppers (18.95) med. Spicy -lotsa steamed melt in mouth "zuo yu" (cod fillets). Green chilis provided the spicy hotness, subtle not strong. Chili oil also available on table. -simmered in a broth with cilantro, black fungus, bean sprouts, cod, bamboo shoots, lotus roots. *savory soup provided another meal later.

I got the spicy fried chicken that was mixed with hot chili peppers. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be given that the dish was scary looking with the amount of peppers. The chicken was perfectly fried. The service was quick and friendly. I was the only one there and was treated like royalty!

Tasty Szechuan has opened where Los Panchos used to be, and where fake Los Panchos that took over after, used to be. It's right next door to Mama's Lumpia, which people often will walk into Tasty Szechuan by mistake. If this name sounds familiar to some of you, because it's not the only Tasty Szechuan that is in our area, albeit, the other one is a bit of a drive away down in Clayton, but not that far away. However, the two locations are quite different decor wise, as this location feels nicer, albeit a lot smaller, and the lighting is just better as the other location just felt really old, and not to mention, the booth seats were literally falling apart last time I was at that location, so I'm fine with this improved decor. The menu for both places are basically the same. They have plenty of sichuan dishes to offer on the menu, while also having same basic dishes to choose from such as the basic Chinese restaurant dishes marked under "Chinese American Food", and then the more traditional stuff on the menu elsewhere. I feel most of the menu was alright. I've ordered a variety of things on it, and they were good, so no complaints. The part of the menu that shines here, and unexpectedly, are actually their soup dumplings and their pan fried buns, which I did not really expect since they're not a specialty restaurant, but these have been my favorites here thus far. The soup buns here are very soupy, so just make sure to be prepared to deal with the juices flowing out when you eat each one. If they don't bring you a spoon to eat it on, make sure to ask for one. The soup dumpling skins here though are a bit thicker than other places, which makes it easier to pick up, but for some may make it feel a bit doughier than they'd like, but I don't have complaints since it's better than ones that are too thin and then it breaks and all the soup just falls out. At the very least, you don't have to worry about that here, and there's plenty of soup/juices inside each one. The pan fried buns here are very good, and probably one of the better ones in this area, and compared to most of the other dumpling places around. Often times, pan fried buns, particularly the ones that are fried from the top of the bao down on the pan, are not great. They become dry, they're too doughy, or they're just not made well. The ones here have a lot of juices in there, and if I were to argue, may perhaps even be the true soup dumpling here as there's more juices in these than the soup buns. Definitely make sure to eat these with a spoon as well, and be super careful where you're aiming this thing. Tasty Szechuan is a nice addition to this area, where there's really no decent Chinese food immediately here. There had been Hop Sing's for the longest time here, but that wasn't exactly good since it was a take out spot. While you can certainly find other Chinese food if you drive 5-10 minutes in various directions, in this immediate area this is probably your best option. The cost is also not too expensive, and portions are generally pretty good here. The dough stuff I do feel stands out here, even if it didn't mean to. The staff here are friendly and nice, though not always super attentive depending on who is there. Overall, solid spot for anybody looking for good Sichuan food, but I feel the American Chinese Food here are just okay. The beef noodle soup was alright too, but still feel like the dumplings and buns stands out more.

The soup wasn't too sour, authentic but not overpowering which I liked. After my meal, I had enough delicious leftover for dinner. Mom got the spicy and it was way too spicy. They offered to replace when they saw her trying to catch her breath. She can usually do the hot stuff. Another thing we ordered when we visited this restaurant yesterday was the Sichuan Cumin Beef. I honestly forgot how much we liked this dish. The way they cooked it yesterday was incredible. Every bite was packed with flavor (savory, very cumin-y and spicy!) , and even the veggies were fully infused with it. It went perfectly with steamed rice. I want to give a warning though, because this dish was extremely spicy, which I personally loved. I liked it so much that I ended up ordering another one to go so I could keep eating it at home over the next few days, lol. I also want to give a shout out to the guy who was basically single-handedly running the restaurant yesterday. He saw us walk in carrying a car seat and offered us a high chair, but he flipped it upside down so we could safely place the car seat on it. Such a simple back but genius. On top of that, he was super friendly the entire time. The restaurant was pretty empty, which is pretty normal for this restaurant whenever we visit it, although they seem to get a lot of takeout orders - happy for them. The empty restaurant actually worked out perfectly for us since we had a baby with us, haha. While he was working incredibly hard, it's unfair to both the staff and the customers to have a "one-man show" during dinner rush. We waited 30 minutes for drinks and a full hour for food--which is nearly impossible when you have a hungry toddler with you. We ordered a non-spicy dish (lotus root) for our toddler, but it arrived spicy anyway. Since we couldn't wait another hour for a remake, she ended up just eating white rice. To top it off, our beef tripe and blood in hot pot broth dish arrived without the blood. When we finally flagged Rambo down, he explained they intentionally exclude it because some customers find it "smelly." As a Chinese customer who specifically ordered the dish for the blood, I found this frustrating and deceptive. If an ingredient is being removed from a titled dish, guests must be notified upfront. We enjoyed the flavors of the spicy tan tan noodles, lotus root, black pepper lamb, and ma-po tofu, but the management needs to hire more weekend staff. We'll stick to takeout from now on.

Sliced Pork with Spicy Garlic (蒜泥白肉) - silky, rich, and packed with real chili heat. North Sichuan Green Pea Jelly (川北冷粉) - hot, sour, spicy, and addictive. Spicy Pig Ear (紅油豬耳) - crunchy, aromatic, and perfectly done. Jellyfish Salad (葱油海蜇) - refreshing, light, and authentically seasoned. These aren't "safe choices for the American palate." These are dishes straight from the Sichuan playbook, and they are done properly.
