Last night I was craving some Vietnamese food, so Yelp suggested this place given my location. I went there, was seated quickly, and with a smile. The menu is vast and comprehensive. Honestly I found it overwhelming, but I made my selections which included shrimp/pork spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, and vermicelli with bbq pork and one egg roll. Every bite was fantastic. I could do without the lettuce but that is my preference and not the restaurant's fault. The ambience is typical, with servers running around being busy in this busy restaurant. It was entertaining watching them but they got it done. I was still eating even after they closed, but they didn't rush me and let me finish my delicious meal. We stopped by to get their avocado smoothie, and it was such a great experience. I really loved the decorations around the restaurant--they create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent. As soon as we walked in, the staff made sure we were taken care of, even though we were just placing a to-go order. I really appreciated how attentive and friendly they were. I also love that they use real avocado in their smoothies. You can truly taste the freshness, which makes the drink even more delicious. Throwback to how pho spots used to look like! It's so cozy and reminds me of TK Noodle spots. They are the only noodle spot that opened at 9AM in the area! They keep their prices affordable and the food is delicious. I got their Hao Fun noodles in a size S, and it was the perfect size. I'm genuinely disappointed with my recent to go order TODAY. I called ahead and picked it up myself, so this wasn't an issue caused by a delivery service. Unfortunately, the quality of the food I received was below what I expected. The biggest issue was the vegetables and herbs that came with the pho. The cilantro and Thai basil looked either old, improperly stored, or not properly inspected before being packaged. They were wilted, discolored, and looked rotten and dead. Fresh herbs are an essential part of pho, and when they arrive in that condition, it takes away a huge part of the experience. I ended up throwing them away. The spring rolls were also disappointing. They were fine taste wise and the sauce too, however, they came wrapped in plastic, which made them seem pre-made rather than freshly prepared. Combined with the condition of the herbs, it really made me question the freshness and overall quality standards being used for takeout orders. I understand that some items may be prepared ahead of time, but everything should still at least look fresh and appetizing. What's frustrating is that this wasn't a small oversight. Fresh ingredients are one of the things that separate a great pho restaurant from an average one. Receiving rotten herbs and what appeared to be pre-made spring rolls makes me wonder whether quality control for to-go orders has slipped significantly. I'm not sure what the current standards are for their takeout orders, but based on this experience, the quality has definitely gone downhill compared to what I remember. Dining in may still provide a better experience, but for anyone considering ordering to-go, I would lower your expectations. It's disappointing because this used to be a place I enjoyed and recommended to others. What? Do I seriously not have a review at Pho Lee Hoa Phat yet? Hmmmm, guess that's the case. Located in the shopping center as Tous Les Jours, Moa, and Damo Sushi, Pho Lee Hoa Phat has been a staple here in this borderline Pleasant Hill/Pachecho area for many many years now, and I as a patron of it as well. Just note, they have lots of locations around this area, but just know, this is definitely the OG location if you were going to compare. Even the people who work here are basically the same people I remember working here during their earlier days. Decor wise though, it's definitely going to feel a bit of an older spot as there hasn't been much, if any, renovations throughout the years, or even a re-design to the interior, but if you're coming here for the ambience, then it's not the best place for that. The menu has been really the same as well, as they just keep posting new price stickers on the older menu spots, so that's certainly one thing you can be sure hasn't changed much. Price wise, it's still going to be one of the cheaper options around, and you can choose what size of the bowl you want, though just a note, the only difference in the change in sizes isn't in the protein ingredients themselves, but mostly just additional soup and noodles (pho, ho fun, egg noodles), so don't be shocked if you get a large and the proteins and other none noodle ingredients seem like the same. But they do give you plenty of ingredients that would be filling for all the bowl sizes regardless, so just depends if you want more soup and noodles or not. I won't dive into everything too much as again, I've been here quite often throughout the years from the beginning, and have tried a large portion of the menu, so just depends on what you feeling. Though they are a pho place, there's also plenty of rice plate options available to you here. Their grilled meats and such here are well done, and tasty. The pork chop in-particular is a favorite of mine, and the grilled chicken is also yummy. From the noodle side, though it's not pho, I always love ordering their beef stew with egg noodle here, as it's well done and tastes great. It's a nice spot for those that just want a simple and straight forward eating experience. The service here is going to be just alright as it's a pretty large space, and they generally just don't lap around the restaurant as much as they should because of the way the store is organized. Make sure if you want fast service to be proactive, but they are friendly when you interact with them. The food portions here are going to be a good bang for your buck, particularly on the noodle side too since you can choose the size you want. All in all, Pho Lee Hoa Phat is a tasty option for any pho goer to visit. Just note, this review is specifically for the location by Tous Les Jours, and not their other location in Seafood City, which I have not tried yet so can't speak to. read more

Food was so good! I love that some of their rice plates come with shrimp cake -- such a nice bonus. We ordered a large bo kho (beef stew) with egg noodles, the BBQ chicken with shrimp cake rice plate, and fried egg rolls. The bo kho was loaded with beef (love when places aren't stingy!), and the broth was soooo flavorful. My only tiny complaint: I wish they gave a bit more lettuce for the egg rolls -- we literally got one leaf lol. My New Favorite Vietnamese Spot Near Concord! I recently moved to Concord and have been on the hunt for a great Vietnamese restaurant and I finally found it! While this place isn't technically in Concord, it's close enough, and absolutely worth the short drive for the amazing food and unbeatable prices. I was genuinely shocked by how affordable everything was, it is definitely not your typical Bay Area pricing. And when the food arrived, I was blown away by both the quality and the generous portions. After just one bite, I knew this would be my go-to Vietnamese spot. The service was excellent. We were seated quickly and warmly welcomed. The restaurant has plenty of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables with umbrellas for shade. We started with the egg rolls and summer rolls. The egg rolls were packed with meat, noodles, and vegetables. It was super satisfying. The summer rolls were fresh and plump with pork and shrimp, and the homemade peanut sauce was delicious. For my main dish, I got a rice plate with fried chicken, an egg roll, and grilled pork WOW WOW WOW. I barely made it halfway through and had to take the rest home as a full second meal. The broth that came with the rice plate was so flavorful, it makes me confident their pho must be amazing too. I'm already planning to come back next week to explore more of the menu. My friend ordered the chicken pho & it was so plain - no veggies just noodles & chicken meat ! Best pho ga in the East Bay. Having grown up in San Jose, vietnamese food is my favorite but I'm also really picky with it. Chicken pho is some of my favorite when done right, but many places in the Bay Area have lackluster broth, poor chicken quality or just miss the flavor. This place makes stellar pho ga and I can come here multiple times per week to dig in. It's my favorite big lunch if I happened to skip breakfast (and will cure any hangover or headache). This restaurant has been my go too for years! It's busy almost every single time you go in! I think it was a perfect night to have soup after watching the Christmas lights!! Services was fast every single time and they're always very friendly. This time I didn't notice that the floor was pretty dirty, but with that being said, there was a lot of storms over the last couple days probably bringing in debris. It will not stop me from coming back to this establishment. The chicken pho is very tender and I love the egg rolls the sweet-and-sour sauce. Over 20 years old before Yelp. They have multiple locations now. The pho is still solid. Always liked their fried chicken wings. Prices are reasonable and they offer 3 different sizes which is different from other pho places. They don't offer spicy broth which is a preference, but not a deal breaker. We ordered the fresh shrimp spring rolls and it came to our table wrapped in saran wrap. That was our first time seeing this. We immediately thought that these were not fresh. This is the best pho spot around. I've been going here for over a decade and never had any issues with them. Their pho is classic and delicious. I always dump all the sriracha I can in it with all the fixings. The broth is flavorful and fresh, but isn't overly watery. Their eggrolls (honestly any of them) are fantastic too, although sometimes come out hot as hell. Their waiters are generally nice and quick. You can get in and out within 45 minutes or less too. This is an old school hole-in-the wall kind of place with fresh food and reasonable prices. I came here with a small group for lunch. I had a vegan bowl of pho with fried tofu and everything was fresh and flavorful. Others in my group had chicken, seafood or meat dishes and everyone was happy. I'm not from this side of town so I didn't know what to expect, and surprisingly my pho dac biet with meatballs was super comforting! Pretty solid pho broth. I ordered hanh dam on the side (pickled vinegar onions) but it wasn't vinergary at all, it was just raw. So I'm unsure if they usually have it pickled or not since it's not something most normal customers would request, but I ate the raw onions anyway in my broth. This is an OG pho spot-- been hearing about this spot for a while but only now getting around to trying it. Did not disappoint! Located in a strip mall alongside other Asian eateries. We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and were seated immediately, despite being quite busy. Staff are as stoic as service is fast (dishes out in 10 min). The place overall is bit aged and rough around the edges (table was freshly wiped down and super wet when we got there), but clearly well-loved. SPRING ROLLS: $10 but they give you thiccc spring rolls with full pieces of shrimp and a small slice of chicken. + decent peanut sauce. BBQ CHICKEN RICE PLATE: Crisp and juicy :-) SO SAVORY doused in fish sauce, with a great bite. Ngl my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Rice is perfect. Can't complain. This one is small compared to the others because it's tucked inside Seafood City, next to Chow King, but the food and service are there. Your order will come out quick, and you pay at the register at the end of your meal. I only mention this specifically because some of their locations require you to pay when you order. The prices at this location are actually cheaper than their other locations (Fairfield, I'm talking about you). My must haves are the pho, wings, nem nuong spring rolls, and egg rolls. You can not go wrong with their vermicelli or rice plates either. Portions are hefty and everything is shareable. They open early around 9:30 which is great when you want to eat breakfast, but don't want American breakfast foods.
