Spicy Pork Bulgogi / 매운돼지불고기
Mary S.

Plenty of free parking on a Sunday around noon. The retardant wasn't too busy upon arrival, but did start to fill up within 30 minutes of being seated. was greeted immediately and seated. Our server was very prompt. The restaurant didn't feel too loud once it began to fill up. Good was delivered very promptly after we ordered. Loved the pork bulgogi. Our rice was slightly on the mushy side, but was fine once we paired it with the tofu soup. Loved the green onion pancake and Banchan. Great flavors. Hearty portions.

Tang Tang Tang has become Tang Jip. The interior remains unchanged but the menu has been revamped. We went on a rainy afternoon after all the other Korean restaurants take their break. Since they are open all day Tang Jip catches all the overflow. During our lunch they were at least 50% full. Their staff including the robot was trying to keep up with all the orders. The menu has most of the Korean classic items. We ordered the following Sul lung tang 4 stars just ok Seafood pancake 5 stars large portion lots of seafood crispy edges Jap Chae 4 stars ok Service was ok considering how busy it was . Food from the kitchen did take some time to get out. Plenty of parking in the park n save shopping center.

Their lunch special rate is a pretty good deal especially if you're hungry. Their prices are not overly expensive and their menu is enough to have different options. The places just opened when I came in a few days ago so I was the first customer. Their restrooms are at the back by the kitchen, it's just one hallway so you won't miss it. Food wise, my soup was great, paired with rice. They only have white rice. As for their sides, I enjoyed most of it but the kimchi and raddish were overly fermented. The food was carried one of those like Bellabots then served to the table by the staff. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's plenty of parking

After a long day of afternoon golf my friends and I decided on dinner as nearby Tang Jip. One of my friends frequents this restaurant as he works close by in Walnut Creek. Parking near the restaurant is more than ample so it was quite easy. The restaurant itself was quite crowded for a Sunday evening. Eventually the crowd moved on. Service was excellent and the food was very good. We ordered the seafood pancake, an army stew and a double order of the pork belly. My only complaints are the army stew seemed lacking in terms of meat and the seafood pancake lacked in the amount of seafood. The pork belly on the other hand was the most excellent. The ban chan was also limited to 5 items only. I am curious of some of the other dishes and would not mind checking them out at a later time.

Super good food! Very bland service. Food was good enough to come back even though the waitress gave depressed vibes. Came for lunch on a Thursday and they gave a good amount of food for the price. Dining area was clean and not overcrowded. I'll give it another shot and see if the service is any better.

Neither my wife or I have ever had Korean food before and I had some "InKind" credit and I saw they accept it, so we decided to give it a try. Our waiter took the time to explain things to us, again, we are now to the food and made some suggestions. We had the beef Bulgogi and noodle / beef dish that I cannot remember the name of, both were very good. They bring out 5 small side dishes along the the items you order. The food was very good, service was good.

Concord used to have a handful of Korean restaurants back in the late 90s, but the Park & Shop complex now has three! Among them, Tang Jip has easily become our favorite. Korean cuisine is not limited to barbecue, and that is what Tang Jip represents. They have tang, jjim, jjigae, myeon, and more. Japchae - It's really difficult not to try some of those chewy and delicious sweet potato noodles! This had a good balance between the sugar and the soy flavors and had the right amount of sesame oil. It also had wood-ear mushrooms so we really enjoyed the chewy texture of this dish. Soon Tofu (Soondubu) and LA Galbi Combo - This was the first combo dish that we tried here and it was very good especially for the price. The beef ribs were well-marinated and were grilled medium-well while the soft tofu stew was flavorful. Perfect way to try two dishes right away. We wanted to get the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo, but the japchae already took care of our noodle craving. Bossam - One of the reasons we love Tang Jip is because they have small portions of bossam (boiled pork belly) and jokbal (braised pork trotters) in their menu. Since it was just my wife and me who ate the first time we went here, we decided to go with the bossam. The pork belly was thinly sliced and had a very small amount of fat. It was already tasty, but the accoutrements it came with - radish (both the sweet and the spicy salad), garlic/jalapeño, lettuce, ssamjang, and the salted shrimp - made this even more enjoyable. We tried a lot of combinations wrapping the pork and it was best with the musaengchae (spicy radish salad), garlic, and the ssamjang. We ended up getting the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo on our next visit and their Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) was very refreshing on a hot summer day. We also got to try a small serving of their Jokbal and I liked this more than the bossam because it was cooked with the skin on and the gelatinous texture was amazing. It was also more aromatic and had a richer flavor. The Garlic Bossam was fine, but I preferred fresh garlic over the garlic paste. We've been back a few more times with our daughters and son-in-law and also with our friends. Service has always been very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and roomy so there's more wiggle room for everyone. Maybe the parking can be a bit of a challenge at times, but we've always enjoyed coming here. It would have been great if we had Tang Jip when we lived near the area, but it will always be a good reason to swing by this neck of the woods occassionally.

I don't leave a review unless it is absolutely needed for everyone to know. We ordered LA galbi through UberEat and uneatable food was delivered. We called the restaurant and heard we needed to return through UberEat. We tried and no refund. Food had no meat and only big bone. They charged us $40 to get rid of food that they couldn't serve in the restaurant or they will serve you the same type of food. It used to be good and not anymore. We often go and eat in there and noticed that their menu changed few months ago. They must have a new owner that does not do a quality check.

May have found my new favorite spot! Stopped by for a quick lunch for 1 & couldn't have been happier. The place is very clean, it was pretty quiet in there. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I ended up getting a lunch special... beef bulgogi + soondubu. The food was so flavorful & the soup is probably one of the best I've had! The portion was pretty big as well, I ended up having it for lunch & dinner.

Rose tteok-bokki / 로제떡볶이

My daughter was invited to a birthday party at Urban Air and so we came here for lunch afterwards. We were starving when we came around 2:30 and surprisingly, the place was pretty busy even at this time. My daughter got the rose tteokboki and it was delicious, not too spicy and the tteok was tender, chewy, perfectly cooked and it was the long tteok that's so fun to eat, almost noodle like. The tofu soup wasn't very impressive, I found the depth of flavor in the broth was lacking. It wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped it'd be, even though I ask for it extra extra spicy. I would love to come back and try their other stews, it seems like a popular place. The service was great and they have the robots that come out with the food. The service was good and ambience is very nice. Definitely recommend, but maybe don't get the tofu soup.

I love this place! It's in the Park-N-Shop plaza with a bunch of other Korean restaurants but I feel like it's just a solid lunch/dinner choice. Definitely can be a wait during weekend dinner times too. I believe this is owned by Ohgane KBBQ but they don't offer AYCE, just a variety of other Korean dishes like soondubu, seolleongtang, ddukbokki, and bbq plates. The service is quick, friendly and there's a robot that comes out to help with food too. There's a good variety of bonchon and prices are average for the area. Definitely a great place to check out.

Chicken Bulgogi / 닭 불고기 / 板 烤 雞肉

Tang Jip is one of those restaurants where you crave a specific dish that you can't find just anywhere, for me, it's the rosé tteok-boki. Craving satisfied as of now. We also ordered items that I haven't tried yet, which were pretty good & I'd definitely get again: 1) kimchi pancake 2) chicken bulgogi I was initially worried that the chicken would be dry, but it was great! The kimchi pancake was delicious as well, especially with their dipping sauce. As for service, they usually have two guys taking orders, so there is sometimes a wait -- Especially for today, a Friday night. Additionally, there seems to be some operational work for the restaurant to look into: One customer came in right before us and they happened to add themselves to the Yelp Waitlist, however, when you arrive, there is also a paper waitlist being maintained. So this made it quite confusing for both the host and customer around when to slot them in for a seat. Fortunately, several tables opened up. I do like this restaurant! But I'd definitely go during lunch hours when there are way less people.

Leftover Stone Pot Bibimbap / 돌솥비빔밥 and Beef Bulgogi + Soon Tofu / 불고기 + 순두부. Tried to make it crunchy on my own.

I met my friends Sarah and David for dinner here on 11/04/2025. We walked in at 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the lone female server, who seated us at a table towards to back of the restaurant. The interior was very clean, and lighting was soft and warm. The giant restaurant logos on the walls were prominently displayed. Their menu featured a wide array of appetizers, soups, bibimbaps, cold and hot noodles, meat dishes, etc. We opted against their signature kalbijjim and instead got three entrée combos (L.A. galbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi). Each entrée came with our choice of tofu soup. Half a dozen banchans were brought to us before the arrival of the entrées. The buchu (chives) and baechu (Napa cabbage) kimchi were excellent. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Portion wise, the tofu soups were of decent size, but the meat entrées were kind of stingy (they were served in small round skillets). I had the seafood tofu soup and it was very good. It was loaded clams, shrimp, and squid. We shared the entrées, and they all tasted great. The only gripe I had was a couple pieces of the galbi had very little meat on them. Service we received was great. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The total was somewhere around $130 (with a bottle of soju, a tangerine slushy, and a soda). Overall, we all thought the food was good. Return trip very likely. 4 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - Ample parking on site. - Yelp waitlist deployed at this restaurant.

But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.
