I've been here many times when I am looking for Korean food and not want to stuff myself with AYCE Korean BBQ. I really liked their banchan options here, but my last visit wasn't that great. The servers didn't really follow up with us. I really feel the service and quality has gone down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menus make it look a little ghetto. At bare minimum, print out new menus. Shows you don't care as much if you're using white out tape to update cost[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Hope things change for the better.

Favorite Korean restaurant in the east bay and I've eaten Korean food everywhere from Seoul to koreatown in LA and NY and this is one of my favorites. Will miss this place a lot! The banchan is the best, their budae soup is sooo good, and on top of that, it's my kids favorite place. We stopped in today just because we were craving it and was very sad to hear it was the last day! (Leasing ending situation). But hope they can open up again somewhere new as I'll definitely be there! Thank you for all the amazing food!

Always the best food and service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bbq Plus feels like home and it's a place that I go back over and over again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A place where so many Koreans go eat has to be great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small, quaint and always welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is so good! And super thankful they were accommodating and made the jab chae with no meat. The tofu bi bim bab was perfect and I love the crispy rice. The banchan was fresh and they were happy to bring more of what we happened to enjoy without any delay. Totally worth visiting if you are in the area and craving Korean bbq with great service.

Ordering from different Korean restaurants (DoorDash) to give them each a try. Korean BBQ Plus has the best assortment of banchan items. Food was packaged well and delivered on time.

kimchi fried rice!!!! best thing on the menu

Very authentic, very good Korean food! I love this place because they have some dishes that are harder to find at other Korean restaurants, for example, 오징어덮밥 (squid on rice). Side dishes are good, service is fast. I highly recommend you check this place out!

Tucked away in an unsuspecting strip mall in Concord, you would probably be too distracted by the taco stand in front of the laundry mat to noticed that you probably walked past the front door of Korean BBQ Plus and heading to the open door that says employees only. That is exactly what happened to me. Luckily somebody was leaving the actual front doors to the restaurant and I realized that the hours were posted on the door and the entrance was actually not where I presumed it was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Got seated right away at a booth and handed the menus. It wasn't too busy inside, but there was a good amount of families/larger parties (4+) eating there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are spread out in the middle (giving pandemic dining vibes, which is great because its more room away from the next party) and then the booths along the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu is as expected with your traditional entrees and offerings, but the BEST surprised was the prices. They aren't cheap, but definitely a lot cheaper than my favorite local Korean restaurant back home. For example, LA Galbi was priced at about $30 and typically you see that for upwards for $38+ anywhere else. I went for the usual spread: Seafood Tofu Soup, Seafood Pancake, Pork Belly, and the Japchae. Everything came out absolutely delicious and great portions! They do not skimp on portions or quality - and boy was I mind blown. The seafood tofu soup was filled with quality tofu and so much seafood, like literally spoonfuls of seafood in every bite you didn't have to worry about being cheated on portions. Same with the seafood pancake and it was perfectly crispy on both sides. I only wished that they cut it into smaller pieces instead of large pizza slices to make it easier to eat. The japchae came with beef protein and noodles were not overcooked or over sauced. The pork belly was thinly sliced and came stacked with a side of sesame oil/salt dipping sauce. The banchans did not disappoint either and they were kind enough to keep refilling them. I mean all in all, it was a great experience and the quality of food was top notch! I only wished they didn't forget my Galbi, but they were quite apologetic and took it off the bill right away. I will definately come back the next time I'm in the area! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Other things to note, it was clean on the inside. The bathrooms were also clean and easy to find parking in the large lot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do take credit cards and are NOT AYCE.

Very good! Just go try it! The food is awesome! The owner is such a lovely wonderful person!

One of my FAVORITE Korean places of all time. My family loves it too! Really friendly service, authentic food, generous portions and delicious side dishes. Very good value, especially if you order their weekday lunch specials, which I often order through Door Dash. I'm a huge fan of the kalbi, the pork belly, and the soft tofu soup! Yummmm.

Very good Dolsot Bibimbap! Excited to try KBBQ+ for the first time based on recommendation from a friend , and it did not disappoint! REALLY good Dolsot Binimbap that came out sizzling, pipping hot, and you'll get some rice crackers at the bottom of the stone bowl upon finishing the bowl. The restaurant is roomy, clean and a no-thrills design and style, with wooden booth seats or table seating. Service is fast and efficient, and they do not hesitate to bring you more banchan upon request. Prices are also reasonable at this restaurant. We will definitely be back to try their lunch special as well. Overall good value, good food and a good dining experience!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very simple Korean restaurant and they have a couple of portable air conditioner inside, which is a good thing for the hot weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service is great. Today we ordered the beef ribs, seafood pancake, and cold noodles. The beef ribs is so tender and flavorful, seafood pancake is full of seafood and crispy and the cold noodles is chewy, savory and refreshing. Love it!!! :)

I…read moreactually tried contacting them multiple times via social media and via email to see if they could cater or if I could order dessert in bulk for a party back in January and never got a response. Even with that said, I still wanted to support. My mom and I wanted something quick and filling but didn't want burgers or tacos in the area so we decided to finally try Maymay's. I didn't realize it shared the same space as Yi Fang, so keep in mind it really is a place to snack and not dine. I read someone saying they had the best sinigang and adobo so I had to try it. I ordered one chicken adobo and one pork adobo. The girl who rang me up told me I would be called when my order was ready. She was preparing the rice and another male employee came out and was packing the meat and left it on the counter. She asked why he packed 2 pork adobos and his response was enough for me to not want to come back. He had a NASTY attitude and smart remark, he basically said it was obviously not the same and that he knows how to read the ticket and it honestly just made me feel hella awkward for the girl because of the way he talked to her. She seemed like she shook it off and then proceeded to tie the bag of my order. She then asked him if he wanted her to transfer the adobo he brought out in a pot from the back and he didn't respond. She then left my order on the counter without saying anything and started transferring the food anyway. So now I'm like.............. is my order ready or nah? I made my niece ask cus it was hella awkward and before that whole encounter another employee just started her shift. She was also the one who responded and was handing me my order and reading her face you could tell she also felt awkward about the situation and apologized. After the man left I asked the girl who rang me up if they were related or if he was just rude af and she said that they were and that it was her brother in law and the other girl mentioned he was the owner/boss. Regardless of being related or not I wouldn't want to work in an environment like that. What made it even worse was the food wasn't even that great lol. I'm sure there aren't a lot of people in Walnut Creek that know what adobo is supposed to taste like. When my mom and I took a bite my mom literally said "why is it like this?" Before I could even get a word out LOL but I was thinking the SAME thing. The adobo was HELLA sweet. It didn't have that savory and tangy flavor it's known for. There was no sour/salty/garlic coming through it seemed like just sugary meat like bad teriyaki... it was weird. The portions are decent but it doesn't matter if it's not getting eaten. Ugh, I just hate wasting food and I paid $18 each. Also a lot of the bowls were taken up by 3 hard boiled eggs. My daughter who has a sweet tooth on the other hand didn't complain but what 3 year old doesn't love sugar lol. My experience and the food was disappointing. I wouldn't come back unless it was for Yi Fang.

I came across another Yelper's review and decided to try out Okini Sushi, in Pleasant Hill. It's a few miles off the 680 freeway, located in a scenic neighborhood. I ordered a delicious crab meat salad topped with avocados and I ordered off of the Happy Hour menu, with an aloha roll, it is a crabmeat, cucumber roll salmon on top with seaweed salad decorating the top of the roll. I ordered the mini chirashi don, which was a perfect main dish with five large slices of sashimi over rice, seaweed salad and a couple of nice spices of tamagoyaki (rolled egg), plus miso soup and a side salad. Easy listening music plays in the background, the wait staff are very nice and polite. The family at the next table with two little kids were given cute children's sectioned plates with kids' chopsticks, which was very convenient for the four year old to use, however, the two year old wasn't big enough to use chopsticks. This was a perfectly delicious lunch, with enough leftovers for a later dinner meal. Do try out this restaurant if you're driving along in the East Bay on the very long 680 freeway, it's a detour of five miles in land. There is plenty of parking here, it's located next to a barbecue shop with sauces, which I'll need to check out afterwards.
