Great customer service, I ended up bowling and then getting hungry, it was nice to get some home-cooked korean meals rather then the typical bowling alley fried food. I ordered the dak doritang (spicy stir fried braised chicken) and the spicy squid and kalguksu (hand pulled noodles) stir fry for dinner. Both items were tasty and hot. Thanks KeunJib!

Delicious food, good variety Don't let the bowling alley location fool you. This is the real deal. Also a nice selection of burgers and other American fare. Very friendly setvice.

    Spicy pork belly and sides

First time here and not expecting much. But wow. Quality food. The pork belly was outstanding. Plus sides. You can sit in the bar and they bring it to you. Yummy!!!

Revisited recently for dinner. Banchan overall had good flavors except for the beansprout dish which tasted old. Spicy bbq pork tasted tender and delish. The seafood kimchi soup (kimchi, tofu) arrived piping hot with good tanginess but the only seafood in it were clams. Rating 3.5 for food. Service was responsive and friendly.

I was skeptical because I judged a book by its cover but was blown away by this place. It's so yummy and filling. While the ambiance isn't anything to leave you speechless it does add character to KeunJib. I've been to some very nice looking places that have served some pretty terrible food so trust me on this that they may be attached to a bowling alley but do not sleep on this place. I ordered the bibimbap with beef and it was over flowing with fresh veggies, a fried egg and beef. They also use the purple rice which most Korean places around here just use regular white rice which I find a let down. I also had the tofu soup and it was delicious and perfect for a cold rainy day. It came with all the side dishes which were tasty. I am looking forward to coming back.

Ummm. Epic. Had the bibimbap and it was perfect. Served in a sizzling bowl which crisped the rice perfectly. The sauce on the side was like a kimchi sauce and added great zing. Going back for sure.

Don't let the fact that this place is in a bowling alley keep you from a delicious experience. I admit I was a bit skeptical but I was really impressed with everything we had. All the bonchon included kimchi, bean sprouts, daikon, broccoli, zucchini, fish cake and tofu. I think the tofu was my favorite but all were tasty. We ordered two entree's and an appetizer. The spicy chicken wings were very crispy and flavorful with a nice bit of heat. My wife chose the beef soft tofu soup. It came out still bubbling hot and was amazing. My wife orders this soup almost every time she has Korean food and thought it was one of the best she's had. I chose the squid and pork belly stir fry. Tender slices of squid and pork with carrots, zucchini and onions in an addicting Korean chili sauce. (I wanted to lick the plate.) The entrees were served with forbidden rice which was a nice touch. Our overall experience was excellent. Great service everything came out quickly and hot. The staff were polite and attentive. We will definitely be coming back and looking forward to trying some other menu items.

Family run business with great service and variety of fresh/delicious food! Definitely of the legit and delicious Korean food in the area!

In my opinion it is the best Korean food in Contra Costa County. Keunjib is an unassuming Korean restaurant attached to Paddock Bowl, a local bowling alley. The shop serves up common american fare such as burgers, fries, and the like, while also serving great korean dishes to both their sit down and bowling customers. My personal favorites here are the Chicken Teriyaki plate and the Rice Cake soup, but I honestly have tried most of their menu at this point and you can't go wrong! Highly highly recommend!

I thought it was kinda cool that this little restaurant was connected to a bowling alley. It's a hole in the wall I'd say. We ordered kalbi short ribs, shrimp fried rice and Philly cheesesteak sandwich and French fries. The menu has Korean food and options of bowling alley food i.e. French fires, burgers, pizza etc. I'd say it's pretty awesome to have this as bowling alley food. Food: it was ok nothing to really talk about. I don't feel like there was a wow factor. the amount of food was good enough for one person. (I guess I expected more). Service: the staff were nice and considering what we ordered it was fast. Food was ready in 15 minutes. The price was not expensive compare to other Korean restaurants I've been to.

A small family run restaurant that really feels like home when you are there. It's inside a bowling alley on the border of pleasant hill and concord. The place has plenty of parking. I ordered kimchi fried rice, seafood pancake, bbq pork, kimchi stew. The kimchi stew was excellent and their Banchan sides were so tasty! Nothing was lacking in flavor and the service was excellent. Will become a regular for sure.

The missed ones are usually due to slower service but still okay versus other restaurants I had been to. Yesterday we were here again and the service was fantastic! Our server, Anthony, was very personable. He is obviously genuinely nice because he showed the same kind of energy across the tables he attended to. We asked him about specific details of the menu and he obviously knew the menu by heart. We ordered the chicken nachos, among others, and we enjoyed it better this time because we were able to "customize" it to our liking because he was able to enumerate to us the ingredients so we were able to exclude those we didn't like. The temperature inside was very refreshing coming from the high heat outside.

The first time I came I ordered the lobster garlic noodles and they were really tasty, lots of lobster and even had leftovers for lunch. My kids both liked their food- one ordered the pizza kids meal and the other the sliders. There was a few mishaps on the first visit, some of the people in our group waited a while to get their food and we ask for condiments twice before we got them, but hey it was busy and we were a large group. On my second visit I order the fish and chips and they were good, fish was crispy and again, the serving was huge! My kids ordered the same thing on our second visit and they had no complaints. Both times we were seated fast. It is a sports bar and it does get busy and loud so if that's something you don't like, maybe skip it or request to sit outside! I would come here again!

One of the best parts of the experience is the staff; they are genuinely friendly and clearly happy to be there. It's refreshing to see leadership prioritize employee well-being by allowing a comfortable dress code of t-shirts and jeans--it creates a positive energy that definitely translates to the service. The food, however, is the real star. Here is a breakdown of the must-try items: The Brunch Highlights * Tornado Galbi Omurice: This is the absolute showstopper. When prepared correctly, the twisted scrambled egg forms a perfect golden dome over the rice. Breaking it open to reveal the seasoned rice inside, all swimming in that rich Galbi sauce, feels like opening a box of treasures. * Millionaire's Bacon Flights: You can't go to Sweet Maple and not try the bacon. The flight is the best way to experience the different glazes, and they are consistently "to die for." * Pimped Up Ramyun & Chicken Croffle: Both are fantastic choices if you're looking for a savory-sweet balance or a spicy kick. A pro-tip for fans of the Chicken Croffle: it's a rare find on their menu--available only at a couple of locations, including right here in Walnut Creek. The Drinks To wash it all down, the Ube Latte and Matcha Latte are essential. They aren't just photo-worthy; they are the perfect earthy and creamy pairings for the heavy, flavorful brunch dishes. Room for Discovery While the savory menu is hard to beat, I still have the Coconut Moffle with Brie on my radar for next time. If it's anything like the rest of the menu, it's bound to be a hit. The eggs were fluffy and the shrimp, bacon, and scallions were nicely mixed in there. The potatoes and the bread were also great sides. The bread was perfectly toasted and crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. They also have outdoor seating but beware this place can get pretty crowded on the weekends.

I'm glad we were seated here as it was mellower than the louder and busier inside. After ordering our drinks, we checked out the menu and decided to share two starters: Calamari with house made tartar and cocktail sauce - it was good. Lightly battered and crispy. Zucchini Fries - a heaping portion of fries topped with parmigiano Reggiano and a house made lemon basil aioli for dipping. Never had these types of fries. Cut shoestring style and they were light and delicious. The served a complementary bread basket with butter. It consisted of sourdough slices, Focaccia squares and a bread crisp slice. House French bread - love warm bread and butter. So good that we asked for refills. I had the Joe's House made Ravioli - a generous portion of beef and spinach filled raviolis in a meat sauce topped with Parmesan Reggiano. I just wished the raviolis had a thicker filling. Other entrees ordered by our group were spaghetti and meatballs, House made beef lasagna and bone-in veal Milanese. Everyone was happy with their orders. When we left, the restaurant was still crowded and there was a waiting line. Service was friendly, accommodating and efficient. We have tried to come here before but it was super packed no parking and it was night time . This was months ago . This morning my man surprised me by bringing me here again for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch . We got there right when opening and the inside was already full ( people made reservations for Mother's Day but they had outdoor seating which is covered from the sun and has heaters ) They had a special menu for Mother's Day today so a lot of what you might see on the regular menu may have not been on today's menu . Our waiter let alone the rest of the staff were very nice and polite and kept wishing happy Mother's Day to everyone . It was very nice . Now food ! Ofcourse you know I got oysters . They had 5 different kinds to choose from but I got the dozen with all of them ! All fresh ! Some were more sweet some more Briney some more creamy . All of them were good and the shallot vinaigrette was the cherry on top ! He got the tortilla soup and we shared the cheesy crabby bread . He dipped it in the soup ( boys lol ) and sad it was good . My personal opinion I love the bread they used ! And nice flavor with out taking away from the nice amount of crab they put on it ! The steak Cobb salad was a very nice portion and the steak was cooked medium rare just how I like it . I was expecting it to be cut up pieces but no they gave you a whole filet which is nice if you want something light and filling I'd definitely recommend this salad . The clams were amazing ! The sauce was so savory just added a dash of lemon and I was in heaven . Plus the cheesy toasted bread they give you to slurp all that excellence lol top tier . Crab omelette was made with egg whites only no yolk , and had ample amount of LUMP crab meat no skimpy at all ! Potatoes were seasoned nice . And the waffles ( which comes by itself heads up that's why we ordered sausage and bacon as a side 8$ each kinda pricey. But we're very thick and good ) the waffles comes with a berry butter spread fresh fruit . Fluffy but still crisp. The limoncello mimosa flavor wise loved the limon but lacked the mosa part . Overall I'd highly recommend and want to come back to try more options . It was nice seeing all the happy families and the cutesy babies all around . Today was a beautiful day thankyou Wences !
