We always order the tea leaf salad- then decide from there on the other dishes We tried the veggie somosas this time- never again. This was the first dish from here we didn't enjoy. The sauce was awful that came with them- it didn't pair well at all. We said we prefer the Costco or trader joe ones We love the green beans with large prawns We took most of our meals home- mine was better later, after the garlic noodles had time for the flavors to marinate Hubby had beef noodles We felt very rushed- the apps had just been delivered, and our food came right after. I had also ordered the crab garlic noodles, but the server came back and said they were out. Had I known this I would have ordered differently. There was a pumpkin dish I was also looking at [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restrooms and restaurant were clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking in the parking structure
Don't Sleep on Burmese food! It's like eating Chinese, Thai, and Indian food but all at once. So much flavors in all the dishes. From sweet and tangy to spicy and garlicky. Food here definitely hits the spot. You could even go here and just be satisfied with all the appetizers! The Dubai chocolate roti is also an s tier dessert in my opinion.
Excellent food and service. We were visiting family in Concord and wanted to try something different and this Burmese food spot popped up. We were super hungry and we ordered bunch of different food: Fiery Chicken - excellent and really good. Palatha - it was delicious. Super crispy and dipping curry is amazing! Garlic friend noodles- a must try. Super garlicky if you like that. Mango Shrimp: Mango bases sauce with actual mango was delicious Eggplant Garlic - absolutely mind blowing. If you like eggplant and garlic this is definitely a plus. Overall we had a great time and food was delicious. If I am in town, I will be coming back. Highly recommend!
My family and I came here for Mother's Day lunch and it was fabulous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is lovely, beautiful warm vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent, very friendly. I ordered the Burmese Chicken Wings (Medium Spicy) and they were flavorful and had a great texture. Perfectly cooked with a balanced spice level, just delicious. The Spicy Noodles with Chicken had just the kick I needed. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the spice mixture in the sauce was incredibly delicious. Just a great bite that I would order again in a heartbeat. I can't remember the name of the drink I ordered but it was lovely. It was very refreshing, not too sweet, with just the right amount of alcohol. We all enjoyed our meals, I know I absolutely loved mine. I can see why this is one of my mom's favorite spots to eat.
We usually love this place for take-out! This had been our families fav takeout for years (the ph one before this one). Tonight's order was not reflective of the usual quality. The samosas, which are a family fav, are half the size they used to be, not as flavorful and the oils tasted old. The palatha with chicken curry was good but not as much sauce as usual and the palatha keeping getting smaller. The garlic broccoli was even a smaller portion with several pieces of not fresh broccoli. The garlic noodles were clumpy and dry. Also DO NOT add shrimp!! $7 for 6 half pieces of shrimp!!! Basically paying over $2 per normal size shrimp! The minted chicken was good and the usual size!! The biryani chicken was also a much smaller portion with chicken and rice but good flavor. Bummer
Ordered takeout on a Sunday for lunch. Ordering over the phone was very easy and the waitress on the phone was patient describing different dishes and also noting what can be made vegan. Ordered 5 dishes. Salads: tea leaf and papaya salad. Vegetable: green beans, sweet chili tofu, and fiery tofu. Tea leaf salad was right on, lots of tea leaves were made available. The papaya salad was ok and can be skipped. The main dishes were all delicious, full of flavor but slightly greasy. I would order them all again. There are many public parking spots around the restaurant. I was able to find parking easily. Definitely plan to come back and try other dishes.
I find that it is hard to find good Burmese food in the Bay Area, but man we found that here. The golden noodles salad and butter noodles were the stars, the noodle salad had amazing flavors and textures, and the butter noodles were chewy, garlicky, and slightly sweet. The food all came out super fast, and the service were all extremely attentive and friendly. The pork belly was fine, while it was crispy it was a bit too porky for my taste and I wouldn't get it again probably, I wish there was some more flavor to it. That being said, there is so much on this menu that we wanted to try so we will be back!!
A great find in the East Bay. My son and I went for a quick dinner. This place did not disappoint. The roti palata was the best I've had locally. The garlic noodle was ok -- not enuf garlic. The chicken curry was good and spicy enough. Service was good also. The wait staff was very atttentive. Overall, a great dinner, and we will come back.
Every time I pass by Concord and crave Burmese food, I go to this place only because of their Tea Leaf Salad. The other food are just okay. Service is friendly, the managers are lovely people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is a bit dark and sad inside, but there's also outdoor seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sometimes, there are flies inside; too bad the owners (who have been made aware of the flies by their staff) don't care to even buy a fly swatter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanted--no, I NEED--a delicious Burmese spot on this side of the tunnel. I took a chance on Aung Burma, recognizing that every restaurant's spin on classic cookin' is a little different and it might not taste the same as my true flame, Burma Superstar in Oakland or SF. But I still expected some level of consistency in the famed tea leaf dressing that makes a tea leaf salad so special. There was none and the salad was a massive fail for me. Another favorite of mine, the mango lassi, was super runny and almost sour, which was really odd because it's usually much thicker. Now, on to the pluses! My sister loved the Chicken Crisp and I was totally face-first in that plate of Eggplant, which I added fried tofu to because yum. The brown rice was cooked perfectly (sounds simple but... small favors!) and the staff were amazingly attentive and kind. If you love Burmese food its their bold, exciting flavors, Aung Burma is def a spot you need to check out! I want to get straight to the food because I'm STILL thinking about it! Yelp Elite Dario O. and I ordered the Red Beef Curry, Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup, Minted Chicken, Vegetarian Samosas, Coconut Rice and Burma Paradise for drinks. The Red Beef Curry was, omg, soooo tender!!! The curry was light yet still had that "like a hug" feeling. This dish pairs so well with coconut rice. The Coconut Chicken Noodle soup was also super flavorful. The chicken, tender. The noodles, great. The added wonton chips on top, adds texture to the soup. The broth, wow. So yummy! This soup is my new fave kind of soup. I will for sure be ordering this one again! Honestly, the Minted Chicken is what you'd expect at a Burmese restaurant. Staff's friendly and the food came out in a timely matter.
Went here on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all, however it was the day after new years so that should count for something. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is simple and modern[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but food is delicious! My favorite was definitely the salt and pepper chicken wings. Minted chicken was good; the honey walnut shrimp wad good and the breading was very light but crispy. The garlic noodles were good as well, but definitely not like the traditional garlic noodles in used to tasting (nothing wrong with that at all). Will be back because food was overall really good and servers were very nice!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot has plenty of seating space inside and parking was available on the street nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the following: Black pepper shrimp Lemongrass chicken Garlic noodles with chicken Spicy noodles The food overall was delicious and flavorful. The portion size was decent too. Will be back to try more from their menu.

Food came out all together which was perfect. We were actually originally planning on going to our favorite Indian buffet in town, only to discover that it's closed forever. Thankfully, there were lots of other restaurants nearby, so we stopped here since the reviews looked good and it'd been a while since we'd had Burmese food. Decided to split the honey beef + garlic noodles with chicken and ended up ordering a house egg fried rice too because we were curious (and hungry). Everything was super tasty! Portions were pretty good and all 3 dishes were very flavorful. Our server was super nice and attentive + the carafe of water was quite welcomed as it was a pretty hot day. Parking wasn't hard to find (we came on a weekend morning), so we are probably gonna default to coming here since it's a lot easier to get to (+ food is just as good) compared the the Burmese restaurant in Walnut Creek! read more

Delicious food! Reasonable prices. Surprisingly, parking was pretty easy for a Saturday night. My fiancé and I hadn't tried this place out yet. Our waitress was quick to serve us and take our orders. It was somewhat busy, but was nice to have a table corner to ourselves. I ordered the mango tofu and he ordered garlic noodles with shrimp. Definitely coming back!! read more

A long time favorite of mine, Aung Burma has done it again! My team at Diablo Valley Cremation & Funeral had take out there today. I was excited to introduce Burmese food to them and they were blown away. Everyone loved their choice and can't wait to try more. As always my tea leave salad and coconut rice was perfection. Diablo Valley Funeral Group is a locally owned business that wants to support other local businesses. Today our resident foodie and Funeral Director chose Aung Burma and it was amazing. Many of our team had never tried Burmese food but now they are hooked! The Garlic Noodles with Chicken and the Broccoli Beef were the dishes that reeled them in. Other items, including the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Tea Leaf Salad and Black Pepper Beef were just as amazing. So flavorful it was difficult to stop eating. Thank you to the amazing team at Aung Burma. Everything was ready and perfect when we arrived. We are coming back here again real soon to try more of your hospitality and delicious food. read more
Decided to go here for dinner after reading Yelp reviews! Overall great experience, we were seated immediately on a weekend evening, finding parking wasn't difficult. They have multiple vegan options.We ordered the tea leaf salad with lettuce, you can also order with cabbage. For mains, we got coconut curry with coconut rice. Everything was delicious. Coconut curry had enough veggies, all cooked properly. Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend it. read more

I love Burmese Cuisine and Aung Burma is fantastic! I've visited this location a couple times (usually during lunch) and my meals have been consistently delicious and satisfying. I usually order off of the lunch entree menu and add on the tea leaf salad and the palatha with chicken curry. Service is usually super friendly and the food comes out quickly. Will definitely be back! read more

We came here for Father's Day and what a great place to eat! Service was fast and efficient. Food was all on point! And my wife loved the mango mojito. We ordered the walnut shrimp, vegi friend rice, garlic noodles and the lemongrass chicken. Definitely recommend this place! We will be coming back here soon! read more

The best Burmese food in the area to get your Burmese fix! I used to frequent their sister location Aung Maylika, which recently closed down, so Aung Burma is great and serves the same quality food in a cozy shop in Concord's Todos Santos Plaza, with comfy seats in a no-fuss environment. Nice service overall! The goods/regulars I order: - Tea Leaf Salad - Golden Noodles Salad (or Rainbow Salad, if I want something cold) - Minted Chicken w/ side of rice We tried the Crispy Pork Belly appetizer and it was great, more like a light Chinese-style kind of pork, not super crispy, but fresh. read more
A nice dinner here on Saturday night! Restaurant was busy and we were seated outdoors. Ordered many items, favorites had to be the rainbow salad and garlic sea bass (even though it was more of a sweet and sour sauce rather than garlic). The palatha with chicken curry was also good. Coconut veggie curry was fine as were the garlic noodles with scallops. Scallops were small and slightly overcooked. About $50 a person with apps and drinks. Tonight, we ordered the following items from this place: 1. Minted Chicken: This was my favorite dish of the night. It featured ground chicken with a savory, well-balanced flavor profile, highlighted by soy sauce and oyster sauce. It paired perfectly with rice. Although the menu describes it as "minced chicken breast," it was cooked to perfection - still juicy and tender, not dry at all. I will definitely order this again. 2. Pumpkin Pork: This dish sounded the most intriguing, but unfortunately, the pork in the stew felt a bit dry, possibly overcooked. The flavor was dominated by sweet pumpkin purée, which was a bit one-dimensional; I was expecting a richer, more complex taste. 3. Tea Leaf Salad: In my opinion, you can't visit a Burmese restaurant without ordering this dish. And ordering it here tonight was a good decision. The tea leaf salad was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. 4. Fiery Beef: The flavors were excellent, with a nice balance of spice and seasoning. However, the dish contained more assorted vegetables than beef, and the beef pieces themselves were overly tenderized, which affected the texture. Still, the overall taste was very enjoyable. 5. Coconut Rice: This sounded promising on paper but fell short in reality and execution. The rice was overly mushy and excessively sweet--more like a dessert than a side dish. Serving this alongside savory entrées didn't quite work. I wouldn't order this again. Service was excellent; the waitstaff were attentive throughout the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was attentive and the food was different - first time trying Burmese food. We ordered the clams and it was too salty. Flavors overly complex, not necessarily Burmese, but more like Chinese (soy sauce base) maybe on purpose since they advertise as "Burmese Fusion" for a reason. We also got the mint pork (not pictured) which was super salty, but the meat was tender and I did manage to taste the mint. Wings were okay. I was expecting it smothered in pepper, but it was just piled on top which resulted in not enough flavor to my liking. The cabbage tea leaf salad was very good. Crunch and not overly dressed with a unique taste. Cocktails also tasty. Most likely won't be back since it was 45mins out of my way and there is another Burmese eatery much authentic near me. read more
I love this Burmese restaurant! Their tea leaf salad has a nice kick and comes in generous portion! Their crispy fish fillet is spicy and yum. I also really enjoy their curry dish and honestly everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is friendly. The location is right by the square. You can park either on the street or the lot nearby. I highly recommend it if you like spicy food. read more
Always consistently good and I appreciate that they ask if anyone has any food allergies. We started with salt and pepper wings, and also had the garlic eggplant and the chicken biryani. Parking here can be a struggle if you are looking for street parking. There is a parking garage a block away. This place is our go to spot when our out of town-Er's come in for meetings. Fast service and very nice staff. read more

Pretty nice place to get some great food. Ordered the fish soup appetizer, pineapple egg fried rice and the vegetarian samosa's along with their famous lavender lemonade. Everything was excellent but I think we really liked the fish soup appetizer and pineapple egg fried rice to most. Couldn't really try the lavender lemonade as our youngest one got REAL territorial with it . Service was attentive and fast and there were pictures of Burma throughout the store. Overall I think we'll be inviting other people to come out with us next time! read more

got some noodle salad, biryani, pork belly appetizer. The food was so flavorful in I give it a 4.7. The portions were good and the texture was on point. it can be a little spicy but nothing crazy. well the biryani was kind of spicy but I asked for that so. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got DoorDash so I can't see much about the ambience of the place but I have been there before and it is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely order from here again. read more
