We really enjoyed our time here at Puesto. The food was great. We started off with some guacamole. Their updated menu is really nice and the guacamole we had had parmesan cheese in it. It was a little odd that it was in cubes of parmesan cheese. We felt that was harder to eat compared to how it was previously shaved. Then we all had tacos and also the sampler platter of the salsa. Our favorite was probably the pistachio salsa, which was really good. For the tacos I really like the surf and turf one. I would say next time I'd probably just do the filet and carnitas, which is always one of my favorites. Someone at the table also had the fish and they loved it. Last time we had a really poor experience here. This time we went Saturday during lunch. It wasn't super busy and the food was top tier and the service was also fantastic. The food is so good. Really, it's amazing and so satisfying. But even on a slow Monday when the servers outweighed the guests, the front desk person had to take our drink order because our server never checked in. We struggled to get soda refills, and the server seemed offended that we asked for more chips, so they cleared the table before bringing them. I really wanted to use some of my leftover sauce with the chips but they were so swift stacking plates I didn't have a chance to ask them to stop. So much potential Updating August 2026 - Super weird service still, the restaurant was mostly empty and we were seated right next to another party with dozens of empty other tables. Didn't get a single refill on water or Diet Coke or ask if I wanted another mocktail. And the prices are just insane. $20 for one lobster taco. My employer hosted our annual event dinner here & it was the best dinner we had so far! Everything from setup to actual dinner was so seamless & easy. Shout out to Ronnie S. for a quick and easy event setup. I forgot our servers name and the manager I was introduced to before seating but both ladies were so sweet, friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious my favorites were the ceviche and chicken flautas. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks so 12/10 experience! The restaurant is so huge, modern and clean. I've been to the Puesto in San Diego and I loved it out there so I was excited to revisit at this location! Originally came in like what in the world are these prices for some tacos but they're not your typical taco. Portion size for the proteins was very generous and the meat was tender and flavorful. I had 4 tacos and was pretty full (plus the chips and guac/salsa). Would come happily come back for the same variety of tacos. Though, I read my review from the San Diego location and I will put part of it here: don't get the shrimp taco lol not enough shrimp/they're tiny. Came here with a good friend to celebrate my birthday. Everything was great from the time that we walked in. Our sever was friendly and accommodating. Our food arrived hot and tasty. No complaints at all. She had tacos and I had a bowl. It was all delicious. Our server was switched near the end to Francisco. I really appreciated that he found a way to give me something for my bday once he found out that I could not consume dairy. That gesture made our whole night even nor special and memorable. The inside has a great ambiance, much like many establishments at the Veranda. The food was on the upscale side and not very authentic in my eyes but the taste was still good. Service left a little bit more to be desired. Went in during lunch and was seated right away so not very busy yet service still took awhile. Came and sat at the bar on a weeknight. We were too late for happy hour which ended at 5. They had a tv at the bar with basketball on. Ordered a classic margarita and a watermelon margarita. Both were great and strong! Learned they use two oz of tequila. Ordered some tacos filet mignon, fried fish, short rib quesabirria, and a grilled fish. We accidentally got a grilled shrimp taco also. The filet mignon and short rib tacos were great, but had a lot of cheese almost overwhelming. The fish tacos were kind of bland. The batter didn't have much flavor and had so much lettuce on top. The lettuce to ratio was unbalanced. Tortillas were handmade and fresh. They did however have excellent salsas! There was a spicy smoky one that was so good and a mild one that came with chips. Overall the tacos were ok but pretty pricy for non taco Tuesday. About $10-15 each taco. Drinks and salsas were fire though! read more

We started with the passion fruit ceviche. It was so yummy! I'm Not even a shrimp person, but this had amazing flavor. For lunch, I ordered the Filet Mignon bowl. It was amazing! Puesto was really fun. They have a bunch of different high end tacos and its fun to try different ones. The mandarin shrimp taco and chicken al pastor were great. I've never seen a taco where the meat is wrapped in fried cheese and then put into the tortilla. I think the fillet mignon taco is kind of a waste of an expensive cut of steak. It doesnt really shine here. Maybe a fattier ribeye would have been more flavorful? All in all a great meal and a good time. read more

The atmosphere is cool, but at times there was clashing music which was disturbing and headache inducing. If you're a vegetarian or open to trying something new, order the mushroom. 3 tacos is plenty and will leave you feeling full; especially after snacking on the complimentary chips and salsa. My waitress was super nice and the food came out quick. The place is such a cute vibe with brightly colored walls and dance music playing in the background. Walking in, my family and I were not greeted by the three ladies just standing at the hostess desk. I had to walk up and let them know we had arrived for our reservation. We were taken to our table right away. Drinks I ordered the watermelon margarita and the passion fruit mule.. margarita was such a disappointment... tasted nothing like watermelon! The mule was just ok... not worth the price!!! For appetizers, we ordered the guacamole and mango ceviche.... Both needed salt which was odd I had to ask our server for it. He said the restaurant doesn't carry salt and pepper shakers.... WTH??? That's so weird!!! I ordered the Caesar Salad with adding the filet mignon. So the salad alone is $18, adding the meat is an additional $12, making a very small portion of salad $30... for $30 it should have been served on a gold plate!!! Meat was delicious but the Caesar dressing was sour... my teen children both ordered the filet mignon bowls... the serving portions at this restaurant are the size of an appetizer plate... the prices don't match the portion size, way over priced. We attended a graduation party at Puesto with 30+ people and had an amazing time! Upon entering, the restaurant immediately felt grand and elegant, with a beautiful bar and spacious seating, indoors and patio available. Our host had a prix fixe menu, so I can't attest to the price, but the Filet Mignon tacos were **chef's kiss** They also had a very satisfying selection of margaritas, with the mango margarita taking the prize for me. Despite our large group, our servers were on point, kind, and helpful at all times. The only challenge I might note is parking as Puesto is located in the busy Veranda shopping plaza. Their food is overpriced, I ordered a grill shrimp taco, one single blue tortilla three pieces of shrimp which tasted very well not overcooked but I felt so lost seeing only one taco dancing in a desert plate, and pretty much a teaser, I add a expensive Cadillac which I like to drink when I am eating but obviously I have more of the margarita than the taco to enjoy. I've had their tacos, and even though they have a great flavor, the price is not worth it unless it's during happy hour. I've had the Cali Steak bowl and this was a must try. The flavor of the steak was delicious, and it comes with beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, and pico. The portions are small, but the flavor is next-level. I recently tried the guac sampler, and it wasn't that great. It tastes just as regular guac with different toppings. I ordered the Coconut Margarita and the Cucumber Margarita. Both are a bit flavorless with strong alcohol. I am not a huge fan of the drinks. Overall I would come back for the food, preferably during happy hour! read more
