Fried zuk, shrooms & coconut shrimp
Tara L.

Got off work early and stopped in for an IPA. The gentleman behind the bar was super friendly, and the light afternoon crowd honestly felt like something out of Cheers. I wanted a quick bite and saw you could pick three apps to make a sampler, so I went with the coconut shrimp, mushrooms, and zucchini. All of them were perfectly battered, crunchy, and delicious--and as a self-proclaimed ranch snob, I fully approve of theirs. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Perfect spot for burgers, sandwiches, and classic fried bar food when you're craving it. Cheers!

We stopped by this neighborhood dive bar for some drinks! Typically they have live music/bands but we were a bit early for that! We ended ordering some sparkling wine and some fish tacos! Surprisingly the tacos were quite delicious and the service was very friendly! Overall a fun and lively neighborhood dive bar with music! We plan to be back the next time we are back in bay area!

Having drinks

My oh my has this place changed inside and outside but nothing else. Poor choice of pool nights on Friday nights. Live music is always a hit or a miss . The food is usually good and a full kitchen compared to most around and lots of tvs for games . Darts available and many drink options. It just Vinny's though.

BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger

Our experience at Vinnie's Bar was pretty interesting! My spouse and I ordered food and drinks at the bar. The mixed drinks were pretty good, and their beer selection is nice. We got the fried chicken sandwich and BBQ bacon cheeseburger. The chicken sandwich was fine, not too flavorful but not bad. My spouse said the cheeseburger was one of the best she's had, so I'll have to get it next time. After food we went over to play pool. There's about 5-6 tables spaced far enough to not have you bumping in to other players. I appreciated how low-key the bar felt when we came in. There were a good number of folks that seemed to be regulars having fun and it made a great feel for the bar.

I think this the coolest bar in Concord...it is in the perfect downtown location - Todos Santos Plaza. You can have dinner at one of many restaurants around and stop by Vinnie's for a drink. Or you can go straight to Vinnie's and have couple of drinks and then get some food. They serve burgers and fries but I have not tried those. Beers on draft are available. They have 6 pool tables available. Salsa night on Thursdays. Live Music on Fridays. Lol it is one stop shop. Occasionally, they have a cover which can be a little bit disappointing but then if there is a live band it is understandable. They also can make pretty good Manhattans and Martinis. That's all I need. Bartenders are quick, friendly, and efficient.

Security guard parked illegally, blocking handicap spot
Priya T.

The security guard out front parked illegally in the striped zone next to the handicap spot in front of here. He blocked off my mom's wheelchair ramp and she wasn't able to access her vehicle for a long time. We were standing out there waiting for the police, I just went to ask if they could ask in the bar if it was anyone's car and he said it was his and finally moved it. He wasn't even apologetic, just arguing saying he worked here and needed to somewhere to park. Not okay at all, my elderly disabled mother was sitting out in the cold because of him parking illegally and blocking the handicap space.

Well stocked bar.

MY FAVORITE BAR EVER. 10 years of patronage. I've been procrastinating my review because I love this place. Drinks are killer; bartenders are consistent and knowledgeable of new variety + the classics. Insanely friendly staff (if you don't agree, you must not be a fun rambunctious lol), extremely well-stocked, and MEGA. FUN. "dive" bar. You can call it that, or you can basically call it the CHEERS BAR OF OUR GENERATION. You have: 1. Activities + events galore 2. A "kitchen sink" aka biggest range of live music you could even hope to experience in a single establishment. VARIETY, ECLECTIC, INCLUSIVE. 3. Community. Counts. Established patrons that care about this place and have frequented for years (I'm est. 2013. You aren't dealing with people that have no cares here, so come correct.) 4. Salsa night on Thurs. 5. All men staff for 10 years (more rare these days to see wholesome people vs. boobs out behind the bar). This place makes honest money built on rapport. 6. Recent expansion with live stage. 7. SHOUT OUTS: Vinnie, Mayra, Vinnie's mom!, David (security - have never felt safer), Ryan the Romantizer, Boats n' Andy, Connor is an obscure aficionado of bar banter. Izzy and Francisco. 8. Fellow Patrons that are rad.

Chefs special chilli and mimosa in a pint

I wish I could've took a photo of the chicken strips and fries I ordered. The chicken was well seasoned and tender, I mean I never had tender chicken strips that were not fried too hard. I received a complimentary buffalo and ranch sauce without asking and it was delicious. I loved the side of chili, a mix of a little shredded chicken thrown into the mix 10/10. My drink was amazing! The bartender who was on staff for Sunday really prepared such a lovely drink to pair with my food. I asked her for a surprise drink that she would think would pair well with my food. The mimosa was bubbly and the orange hit the spot. It's cute dive bar and grill with a nice patio, restrooms are clean!

I reserved this table for an upcoming live music event. And it's not the first time!

The place was clean, friendly staff, met the owner Vinnie who is a cool Cat. Deep pours on drinks, food was tasty and cheap. Live music venue, salsa, dancing, Full tables, dart boards, even corn hole out on the patio. This place is hopping almost every night. It's the place to go in Concord. No question. They even have an app now for rewards, buy tickets to events, fan wall to upload pictures. Love this place it's way more than a dive bar. Something for everyone if you're over 21.

cheeseburger and steak fries
Elizabeth D.

Reminds me of a dive bar back in Long Beach. If you're looking for somewhere to dance, have a drink, and grab some food then it's definitely worth the $10 cover fee. Plenty of security and very spacious venue with a back patio smoking area. No heat lamps back there but there was a taco stand. We had some cheeseburgers and steak fries tonight which we enjoyed a lot. You seat yourself and order at the bar. We got lucky and found an empty booth inside. The food didn't take that long and it seemed freshly made. There's a parking structure behind the bar that's free to park.

Vinnie's is a bar I'd go back to

I want to preface this review by saying I STILL like this neighborhood dive. I like the customers,…read moreJimmy & Danny (evening bartenders), the karaoke, and the divey feel are all very cool... I work right by this place and used to come in all the time with coworkers after work. We went there for probably 3 or 4 years and never had problems with the daytime bartenders before. We knew them, they knew us, everybody got along and it was just our regular spot. Then the daytime bartender changed and honestly so did the whole vibe. All of this happened a few months ago but one thing that really bothered me was how she treated my wife. My wife was trying to help clean up and stacked some shot glasses a little too high. When the bartender picked them up they broke. My wife immediately felt terrible and was apologizing. She's a preschool teacher, super sweet and about as non-confrontational as you can get. Instead of just telling her not to stack them that way the bartender yelled at her. She already felt horrible, it was obviously an accident and there was no reason to make her feel worse. Another time one of our coworkers accidentally walked outside with her drink. I get it, you can't take a drink outside. But instead of just saying hey you can't bring that out here, she came outside and snatched the drink out of her hand, barked at her and cut her off. Something that could've been handled with a normal conversation turned into a whole thing. And yeah, there were a few times people got way more upset than I had ever seen them get in there before. I'm not saying every reaction was okay, but I also knew these people and that was not their normal baseline at all. These were coworkers who had been coming in for years, getting along with everyone, no drama. Watching people get pushed to that level of frustration was honestly part of what made the whole situation stand out so much. That's the part I keep coming back to. Same group, same bar, years of no problems. Then the daytime bartender changed and suddenly there was tension all the time. I probably wouldn't have written anything since all of this happened months ago. But I recently found out a former coworker wrote about her own experience, her review got taken down and she had to edit it and repost it. That made me think maybe I should say something about what I personally saw too. I've always liked this bar. I just think when people who came in for years with no issues suddenly stop wanting to be there, that's probably worth paying attention to ‍

At the time of the incident we just wanted to leave as quickly as possible so it was not addressed in the moment. The manager invited us back, and while I don't think we will try again, we definitely appreciate his attention to the situation. Original Review: Four stars?!?! If you like hanging out in a bar that let's people get so sh**-faced drunk that they're going to take a swing at anyone who stands next to them, then go for it. Husband almost got in a fight here for literally standing next to an alcoholic. Bartender just stood there as it was happening as if this is normal for the bar and the drunk's friends had to stop him from socking my husband for no reason. We walked out of the bar and zero employees intervened with a patron who was literally staring fights in their establishment. *** Note to manager: Thank you for responding. Please note this happened several months ago so I'm not sure it's worth the investigation. We just talked about the incident again as we drove by on Treat. We were again incsenced by it so I felt compelled to post it.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.
