Cheeseburger with side of potato salad
Shirley N.

What I always appreciate about the 19th hole at a golf course are the food offerings and the draft beer. After we finished playing golf yesterday the eight of us ate lunch here. Same ordering process as before. Great selections and something for everyone. Hubby & I both ordered the ground beef taco salad. The ingredients were somewhat Americanized- romaine lettuce, picante sauce, corn kernels, etc. But still good. We had Karl the Fog hazy IPA's. Went well with our taco salads.

Taco Salad with Beef

After a round of golf decided to eat at Legend. You order at the counter, then find your seat and they bring your food to the table. We ate inside since it was so hot after a round of golf and wanted air-conditioning. I ordered a Taco Salad to share with hubby. Lettuce was fresh and had lots of ingredients. Taco shell was crisp and fresh. Price of taco salad with a fountain drink was over $20+. Price is a little on the higher side. Service was okay and the inside was clean. Lots of tables outside if you want to eat outdoors. This wasn't our first time eating at Legends... use to be better but it's still good.

You cannot beat eating outside at the golf course on a cool summer day. The food is good at an awesome price.

Taco salad to go

Today my husband picked up lunch for me. He had been here and had the taco salad before and thought it was really good, so that it what he got for me. It was not good. All of the lettuce was white and cut from the core of the lettuce. This not what should be in an expensive salad! The rest of it was jack n the box- ish. 3 stars because maybe there is new guy in the kitchen.

Inside Tri tip sandwich

Whoa! Who knew to go to the golf course on a Friday afternoon for a great Tri Tip Sandwich?! Sliced meat on a sourdough roll with bbq sauce and grilled onions. There might have been bacon on it too, I can't remember because I ate it so fast.

The kitchen staff, gloveless, touching his face, without ever washing his hands.

The first time I came I ordered the lobster garlic noodles and they were really tasty, lots of lobster and even had leftovers for lunch. My kids both liked their food- one ordered the pizza kids meal and the other the sliders. There was a few mishaps on the first visit, some of the people in our group waited a while to get their food and we ask for condiments twice before we got them, but hey it was busy and we were a large group. On my second visit I order the fish and chips and they were good, fish was crispy and again, the serving was huge! My kids ordered the same thing on our second visit and they had no complaints. Both times we were seated fast. It is a sports bar and it does get busy and loud so if that's something you don't like, maybe skip it or request to sit outside! I would come here again!

Our favorite appetizers are the poke nachos, spinach dip, and the jumbo pretzel (the pretzel is my personal favorite--so good!). For lighter options, the tomato bisque and house salad are always solid choices. For entrées, we've tried quite a bit and have several favorites: the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich, salmon plates, fish tacos, cilantro lime chicken, and especially the whiskey glazed salmon and Mediterranean salmon--those are absolute favorites for me. I also really love the Mediterranean veggie burger. My husband is more of a meat eater and used to love their Beyond Burger, which they've since changed to a veggie version--he says it's not quite as good as before, but still decent. The classic burger is also very good. And the lobster garlic noodles? Amazing. For dessert, the cheesecake brûlée is a must-try. And I can't forget the drinks--they are some of the best! I love the Coco Passion, Midnight Sangria, Sunset Sangria, and the Dragon Fruit Cosmo. Everything is always so flavorful and well-made. Beyond the food, the service has consistently been great every single time we've gone. Overall, this place is a 5-star experience for us--great food, great drinks, and great service every time. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, it was obvious that a lot of care and creativity goes into the menu. Whether you're there for a full meal or just a quick bite, there's something that will impress. What truly stood out, though, was the service(Nathan, Franchesca, and Sharin). The staff were attentive without being overbearing, friendly without feeling forced, and genuinely committed to making sure every guest had a great experience. It's rare to find a team that works so seamlessly together while maintaining such a welcoming attitude. I will be coming back here many more times!

Interior: medium sized dining room that leads to a larger bar area in the back. Most people were in the bar area. Staff: friendly and helpful. Shared responsibility of the bar and dining room for our waiter so service was a bit slow but understandable as we were 1 of two tables in the dining area and the bar area was hopping. Food: a real down home feel. The food tasted fresh and not packaged or canned. Had a simple cheeseburger, bowl of chili, and nachos. Between the two of us. Food tasted great. Chili was full of meat and flavor. Burger and bun was amazing. Nacho chips were light and crispy with adequate toppings. Talked with a woman who I think was the owner and she told us that nearly everything including bread and buns are homemade and the chili was her mom's recipe (slightly modified) We will come back for sure Real score of 4.5 stars but I'm not gonna drop a full star. We have been coming here for a while and genuinely enjoy this place, but our last visit was one of…read morethe most frustrating dining experiences we've had. Our server Liz took our drink and appetizer order, then essentially disappeared. We had to stop two different staff members just so we could order tacos. After waiting over an hour, we were told by staff that we needed to go up to the bar to place our food order -- because Elizabeth said she "always messes up" our order. Let that sink in. Instead of coming to our table, our server sent word that we should go start a separate tab at the bar because she has trouble with our order. We are sitting at a table. That is not how restaurant service works. For the record, our issue has never been with Elizabeth getting our order wrong -- it's that she never comes to the table. From the moment we flag her down to order, to the hour it takes to track her down for the check, we are essentially managing ourselves. We brought this to the bartender, who is also the manager and is normally great. Unfortunately, nothing was done to address the situation -- no apology, no correction, and was never able to otder our food unless we started another tab with him at the bar. If a server is struggling, train them. Don't leave the table stranded for hours and then redirect paying customers to the bar. We hope management takes this seriously because we want to keep coming back and spending money-- but not like this. Our check # 10011 at table 50. We were here for over 2 hours and still never ordered our dinner.

VISIT NOTES *parking is a nightmare…read more*I have physical limitations (back issues, recent foot surgery) so I really needed to sit at a table *when I walked in, I asked, do we seat ourselves and was told yes. (nothing was said about no table service to order) I wanted to sit outside and there were plenty of open low tables but on an 80 degree afternoon after a FULL WEEK of unseasonably 90+ temps (March 16-21, 2026) the outside dining area has ZERO shade umbrellas. I was told "yeah, we haven't decided to put those out yet." The only shaded outdoor dining was at high bar tables or at "shelf" rail and all had these trendy yet uncomfortable 'farmhouse' tall barstools: hard steel, no backs, tiny seat and I can't sit at this style of table. *The inside low tables were full but the "hostess" walked through the dining room to see if there was an open low table and the only option was a picnic table that was half occupied and they "let" me sit down *Hostess made a big deal about getting a towel and some cleaner to wipe it down. * I look up and see a large sign that says ORDER HERE across the room back where I was standing. (I've been to the MIBC Taproom in Benicia and they have table service) *so another walk across the dining room to place the order for drinks and food *I told the bartender I've had foot surgery so all this walking around is really difficult. they said yeah sounds like a drag *After I order, the bartender had the arrogance to flip a screen around (and walk away!!) that asks for a minimum 18%+ percent tip. FOR LITERALLY NO SERVICE. I still put out a tip, and tablet asked if I wanted a receipt, I chose print, and then a screen requiring me to enter my phone number (WTF?) I complain when Bartender comes back with my wine and said, oh no, that was optional. And I said if there was an opt out button, it wasn't visible. *I ask, can they hold my wine glass behind the bar Because I need to go to the restroom and didn't want to leave an open drink on a table unattended. Bartender hands me a coaster and says, oh use this. *So now another walk back and forth across the room. And I have to do it again to pick up my food *While waiting for my food I saw both a bartender and hostess bringing out food so, table service is based on their mood? *they dont have restrooms (?!?) they offer the public restroom in the lobby of the ferry terminal. Fun fact! They have a dart board in the corner that's in the direct path of the shortest distance to get to the restroom. Patrons playing darts shout at you for getting in their way. *The only positive was the kitchen staff which did put out a great sandwich and fries. *When someone has a physical disability, all of this is unacceptable. Same for the exterior there isn't clear signage the entrance isn't at the parking lot but around the corner at the pier. ============= I was in Vallejo to look at property in Glen Cove and made the short but concerning° drive to the Ferry Building. It was a very pretty day and thought it would be nice to sit out near the water and try and enjoy it. (And while I didn't see any RAT INFESTATION that was all over the local news, the vibe of the people "hanging around smoking" and condition of the other buildings make this my "one & done" for the town of Vallejo. °Crime, the WORST roads and blight.)
