This place is big, well spaced out and has a great outdoor patio area. Staff was nice & adaptable. Crowd was older. We saw a good motown band & danced most of the night. :)

We went to the greenery for lunch. It is so loud inside. The servers were really nice, but it was very slow service and it took a long time to order. I felt like the food was mediocre. I had a crab melt sandwich and I didn't really like it that much. There was a lot of cheese like a slice above and below it and the crab was a little bit slimy and it didn't seem like crab. It looked like slices of turkey, which is really weird, but I will stick with going to escape from fisherman's wharf cafe Down the street for my crab sandwich. My friend enjoyed his Hawaiian burger and my other friend enjoyed her deep-fried crab.

Stopped by recently and had a great visit. Lots of memories at Diablo Hills and the Greenery and happy to report the service and food were as great as ever. We had the Back 9 Apps platter (two orders) and a variety of cocktails. The Back 9 was the perfect option as it had some of everyone's favorites. Polished them both off. Several fantastic old fashioned's , espresso martinis , chocolate cake shots rounded out our selections from the bar. Looking forward to the next trip out to The Greenery!

Had lunch today. The portions are large and can be easily split between two people. I had Hawaiian burger that was very good. My friends had omelettes including a vegetarian omelet which was packed with a variety of different vegetables. The omelet came with hash browns which they thought were delicious. Overall a very good experience.

Open space with good service and a menu with lots of variety. Food was great just don't order the tortilla soup. ( No tortillas in it) There are rooms you can rent for parties on the side.

Enormously big Cal Cobb salad entry! You definitely got to try it if you visit this place. Come on the weekdays so you can get a table next to the window with the pool view of the Heather farm swimming pools. Call and attentive service will enhance your dining experience. Simple and relatively decent beer selection. American style kitchen that get to the variety, burgers, appetizers, and a good selection of healthy food. If you are in sports, place has a variety of TV screens broadcasting, the game you are into. Come, enjoy, and have fun!

I've tried the best BBQ that Austin, Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta have to offer…read more I've watched "Chef's Table: BBQ" series on Netflix a number of times. I think that Sauced BBQ is as good as any BBQ I've tried throughout the US. This past weekend I traveled across the bay and ordered the Third Rack of Spare Ribs with a side of Potato Salad and Mac n Cheese. The Spare Ribs - were fall of the bone tender. And the meat was so rich and flavorful. The Mac n Cheese is some of the best I've had. And the Potato Salad while it was super good but had way too much mayonnaise. But I'd probably order both again as sides! Now for the not so good. Sauce was out of Burnt Ends. Ugghhhhh! Every time I visit, I've counted on Burnt Ends being available. I understand they are a scarce commodity, but it was disappointing they were not on the menu. That's how good they are! One comment. I don't know who's decision it was to add a video arcade to the restaurant, but I sincerely felt I was in Vegas at a cheap restaurant on the strip. The place is already pretty loud but to add screaming kids and video games seems a bit odd to me. Just seems completely out of place and doesn't add to the strengths of the restaurant - creating the best environment to serve some of the best BBQ in the Bay Area. Matt says check out Sauced after you finish shopping at Nordstrom or Macy's. You'll love the BBQ. Just make sure you are seated opposite from the video arcade.

It was plenty of seating, we actually got to pick where we wanted since it was not busy. Of course since the Warriors were playing we chose right next to a huge screen. So for the food, I'd say they had a pretty good menu. I love sausage links and was a bit disappointed that they don't serve them. So we both went with the 2 meat combo; ribs and brisket & tri tip, not too bad but I've had better. The portion size was good, it was tasty but not hittin like I was anticipating! Then for sides the Mac was pretty good not hot and the beans were yummy. Ummm the cornbread was a bit dry so I think I'll pass on that next time. They have an area with video games which is great for kids to stay occupied too. Also, the restrooms were clean also which is a plus.

The food was okayyyy. I wish we had some chips and salsa to start. I got birria tacos and they just seemed only okay. The server was fine. Refilled our waters. Then in the middle of eating, I see the workers moving the tables out and creating a dance floor. I realized it turned into a club like setting, so that is what the booths were for. I felt rushed out though since they were clearly setting up for their club.

The time before last night was back in the day of parklets and they had some event so I put my name on the wait list but was able to order a drink and taco while I waited. I hung out next door at Peet's sitting on an outside chair. Very nice. A little bit away from the crowds and sound. So that brings us up to last night. My partner and I were walking back to our car after being somewhere. As we walked by it was dark inside and the music was pumping. There was door security but no line so we went in. The dude looked in my partners purse and I was able to walk in without a wanding or pat down. Whew!!!! Upon entering and making our way to the bar we noticed the Grandma's throwing it down in a dance circle with their grey hair wigs, old timey clothing, goofy socks and shoes and canes, can't forget the canes. We have seen them around town before and they are hilarious. I have no idea who these ladies are but they seem to be making a name for themselves in the DubC. Very impressed with people who still know how to have a good time. We hung out for a bit on the fringe where the chairs were before headed back to dance central where the Grandma's were tearing it up. Next thing you know this long blonde hair dude is in the middle dancing with the "old ladies", yes me. One of them lent me her cane. Fun times. And yes my partner took me back home and is still talking to me. And 4 stars because Grandma's. HELLA FUN TIME!!!!

I served as a shoulder to cry on from other regulars, or just someone to listen to when unloading their daily life struggles. I gave big tips when I could afford them to the bartenders that always would see me and pour a drink for me without asking even on a packed weekend night. I met new friends, said goodbye to old friends, and got to know a handful of bartenders that trusted me enough to open up about their personal lives. During Covid, I did my best to support as much as I could have. When it was closing time, I never lingered. When it was someone's birthday; I always sang. The number of patron's I was able to make laugh was many. The number of younger 20 something's I chatted with and asked questions about their life goals and future plans, while offering some perspective to help out was plentiful. The number of older folks that were lonely, or couples that were bored, I tried my best in engaging conversation and listening and conversations with them were countless. However, when an off cuff comment on a quiet Wednesday night, where there were 8 total patrons in the bar, and myself and a buddy were sitting and waiting for a drink after 15 minutes while the bartender chatted with the other five patrons came to ask if we needed anything, and I jokingly commented that, yes, we've been waiting for only 10 minutes, I was told I am not allowed at Dan's when this lady is working anymore, it was a slap in the face. I can no longer support a place that could care less about allowing a newer bartender with massive insecurities to dictate when I can spend money at their establishment. It was a good run, and I appreciate Mike, Chris, Deion, Jose, Derrick, Andrew, Ashley and Lana, along with all of the great people I met there and took great care of me, but it's time to move on and spend my money, time and energy somewhere that allows an insecure employee to dictate when I can patron their business. Adios.
