Jacks Taps is the hidden Gem you guys have all been looking for, for a second imagine one of the coolest tap houses located in downtown Pleasant Hill with the best rotating beer on tap and the best food courtesy of Jack's next door. The bartenders and the wait staff are so on top of their game and the inside the tap houses is vide is exactly where it should be. Service was great. Came in right before 6pm. There was a wait. But it sure didn't feel like it. And it was busy on a Tuesday. Sat down, ordered waiter was nice and helpful. We got our food so quick. We were in and out in about an hour. We ordered calamari, coconut shrimp and the lamb meatballs. All were good. Also received some bread and butter. Great place for a bite and some brew. Many tvs at the bar to catch your sports team too. The vibe is casual and service is prompt. I ordered a burger that came with sourdough bread as the bun, which sounded good at first, but about halfway through I wish I went with a brioche bun instead. My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken filet was HUGE! I do prefer a fried chicken sandwich with a lot more sauce or slaw inside the sandwich. This is the best place to stop by and grab one of their rotating beer selections. They always have a stout on tap which is rare to find these days. I love grabbing buffalo wings and a nice cold beer. I have been in search of a really good French dip sandwich. So I thought I'd give Jack's a try. It wasn't that the sandwich was bad but rather just average. The portion was good but I was hoping for house roasted beef vs deli a precooked deli style roast beef. The jus was average as well most likely made from a dry concentrate. The bread was good. My fries had to have been sitting under a warmer for a while(definitely not fresh). The service was good and very prompt and the atmosphere was nice as far as a corporate chain can be. All in all everything was just ok. Would I go back maybe because it's close but my search for a great French dip goes on. read more

Definitely a happenin' spot! This taproom is an extension of Jack's Restaurant & Bar right next door. The taproom is way more laid back compared to the actual restaurant itself. It's a great spot to catch a game or to have dinner when the restaurant is busy and overcrowded. You can enjoy the same happy hour bites menu from the restaurant here as well as the rest of their menu. They have three large big screen TV's at the bar and over 20 different beers on tap! The best part about their tap beers is that they actually offer variety! Yes, they have their standard IPA's, but they also usually keep several ales, sours, ciders, and guest beers too. They rotate their tap list pretty often, but it's easy to find something that you like. If you're with someone who isn't really a fan of beer, they have wine options too (they get it from next door). The bartenders are awesome! They will check in on you and chat you up if you're up for it. All in all, Jack's taps is a solid option for great beer and a fun time. read more

We arrived today and they have ALL outdoor seating. It is nice to be back out with people again, enjoying a nice meal. The waitstaff were so nice and everyone really seemed to be back to work. There were a lot of people but the service was still quick. Half of our table got breakfast and I can say it looked well cooked and are some of the best dishes I've seen. I personally got a Caesar salad with steak and holy goodness! The steak was PERFECT and their Caesar dressing seemed handmade. Came to watch the Niners game on a rainy day. Had a great time at Jack's with my fiance and two friends. Emily was amazing, she was attentive to our table and had a good report with all of us. Half way through the game, Emily had to leave so we closed out with her. GRIFFIN came in, and he ignored us while he attended to all of the other tables. It took some time before he came to talk to us and when he did we noticed that Griffin was wearing a mask at his chin, but only when he came to our table did he put his mask up plus he was rude to us. To start we had the Mediterranean platter, which was complete heaven. And we also had the lamb meatballs, which were well flavored as well. To drink I had the mango fro mo. This drink, is sooo refreshing and delicious. My hubby had the citrus wheat beer. This was after asking for tastings of about 4 beers on tap to make a decision. The waitress offered, and my husband was happy to try the selections to make a decision. Awesome service. My main meal, I had the hot dog Mac and cheese, a nostalgia of my childhood. Needed me a breakfast burrito fix. My bff Mikey advised the breakfast burritos at this joint were on point, so I tested. I must say, Mikey knows his breakfast burritos and wowzers - it was flamas. Pulled up in the lot in my clean ass whip on some freshly polished 22's and walked up to the front to obtain my bounty. I went for the southwest breakfast burrito which contains two eggs scrambled, hash browns, grilled chicken, new mexico hatch chiles, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo and I added pickled jalapeños. The jalapeños added a delicious crunch to the bohemoth and I was highly satisfied. Sure they aren't cheap, but these beauty's have been crafted by a burrito artisan and love.
