Awesome Saturday night dinner outside under the canopy which was well lit and surprisingly warm with the heater on the table and the stand up heater between the tables. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly, and received wonderful, attentive service during our entire meal. The dinner menu at Moresi's offers a lot of different options, including prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights. Started with shrimp cocktail (poached or grilled) and went with the poached shrimp which were a good size, pretty tender, and accompanied by a tasty cocktail sauce. We then went with the House Cut prime rib which was perfectly medium rare, well-sized portion that was well-seasoned and included au jus and two types of horseradish, along with two sides of your choice (we selected creamed spinach, glazed carrots). We also tried the braised short rib which was also a large portion of fork tender short rib on top of a bed of creamy Parmesan polenta. Finished with their NY-style cheesecake which had a good texture and flavor and was a great end to the meal, especially with freshly brewed hazelnut decaf coffee. Definitely wins on all the dishes and service, and we are definitely coming back!

This continues to be one of our favorite spots. Dominic, Ed and the entire staff know how to make a place feel like home. Thank you for being a Clayton gem.

Awesome steakhouse in Clayton! Prices are fair for the cuts and quality of meat and includes sides. Lots of outdoor seating and overall feels like a throwback experience. Hidden gem, only place like this in the area. Service is 10/10 and it's more of casual feel, not upscale.

Apparently I'm late to the party, but I really enjoyed this little place! The food was great and the staff was really kind and attentive. Lots of young people were being put to work (which I appreciate as the mom of a teenage son). I'll definitely be back to try more of this scrumptious menu.

We discovered Moresi's Chop House years ago, when I was researching a nice steakhouse to celebrate the birthday of a relative who loves steak. Then, I was really impressed with how the service was friendly and efficient, with the proprietor coming by to solicit feedback about the dining experience. The appetizers, steaks (particularly the filet mignon and the prime rib), and desserts were all very good. We went back recently post-Covid, and the experience did not disappoint. When other restaurants have declined in terms of food and service, Moresi's still retains its high level of execution in the food preparation and service. As before, it was quiet enough to have a conversation. Again, Ed Moresi came by to see how our experience went--a rare, personal touch nowadays! If we lived closer to Clayton, we would visit Moresi's more frequently. So if you're out in East Contra Costa County or Concord, do stop by and check out Moresi's. I would suggest making reservations, especially for Sunday dinners, which are very popular with the locals as they offer a special Sunday menu.

Great food. Good drinks. The cherries were smashed in all of our old fashioned drinks though. Other than that minor detail, great place.

The buffet was decently stocked, but my mom was a bit bummed there were no waffles or pancakes. She asked and we were told only the buffet was being offered. So, fine. The food was about as good as buffets get (so so). We asked twice for water and it never arrived. We had to ask 3 times for the bill. What made matters worse was once the bill did arrive. When I opened the bill holder, it had an old-style receipt with simply "150" written down. With (what I assume) was and additional $13 for tax, I was looking at $163 for two for a buffet brunch. There was no indication of prices for the buffet anywhere. I half thought the waiter gave us the bill for the foursome next to us. While I was expecting maybe $45-$50 a person because restaurants like to wring us on these sort of holidays, I am completely flummoxed with how on this green Earth they seriously feel they could charge $75 per person. Highway robbery.

I had made dinner reservations ahead of time. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. The inside had a nice bar and tablecloth covered tables giving off a classy yet cozy atmosphere. We were seated by the window in a cozy and more private space. It was a lovely spot. Our server brought us cold water and menus to look at. While we were looking at the menu, we were brought warm bread and butter. My husband decided to order the Moroccan Beef Tagine and I ordered the pescatore with fettuccine. I don't care too much for salmon and asked if they could please omit it. They offered to give me more shrimp and mussels, which was very nice. I really appreciated that. I'm so glad we made reservations, because the restaurant filled up fast. I definitely recommend reservations when coming here. It's a popular place for the locals. Our food arrived quickly. I was offered freshly grated Parmesan cheese for my pasta. My husband loved his Moroccan beef. I tried it and it was delicious and had so much flavor. My pasta wasn't the best, but just okay. The sauce was very bland, and I had to add a lot of salt to make it taste more flavorful. The pasta was overcooked and not al dente. The worst part was the shrimp. The shrimp were overly cooked and hard to chew. The mussels and clams were very good, though. I would have mentioned this to our waiter but I didn't want to be late to our concert. We didn't heave a lot of time to waste so I ate about half of my dish and made sure to eat all the mussels and clams. If we had more time, I would have asked if I could try something else and I'm sure they would have accommodated me. The staff were very friendly and kind. I would definitely come back and try one of their Moroccan dishes. When I read the review for this restaurant, prior to coming, many people commented on how good the Moroccan dishes were. I can see why, because my husband Moroccan beef Tagine was so flavorful. If we are ever in the area again, we will give Fiore another try.
