Lavender drink
Danielle W.

My husband and I came here yesterday for a date night and really enjoyed our meal. First off, the drinks were good and really quite strong! I got their lavender cocktail (I forget the actual name) and would definitely get it again. The food was - wow - outstanding! Their salmon had a glorious crispy outside and the potatoes were also nice and crispy. The asparagus was nicely seasoned and the soy glaze on top was delightful. Every bite was *chefs kiss*. My husband also loved his rigatoni. The prices? They aren't cheap. This isn't an every week type of place; but I don't think they are completely out of the ballpark taking into account the quality and location. Drinks are $16-$18 and entrees are ~$25-45 range. The service was very good! Our waiter was very polite and attentive, and staff was very good at clearing our plates, filling water etc. The ambiance? I have mixed feelings on. I love the view, and the decor was nice. Buuut the music was a bit too loud. And it was club type music...Luckily we were in a spot that wasn't fully covered so the sound could escape a little more, but still, I wouldn't say it's fantastic for a romantic evening as it's hard to hear what others at your table are saying. I would say choose softer music, let people enjoy the view and not be overwhelmed by noise. I see a lot of reviews about this place being stingy when it comes to seating you if you don't buy food. Obviously, we didn't face this obstacle as we did intend to order dinner. However, the host did ask us if we were going to order food; and I wonder if we would have said 'no', then we would have been turned away? If so, that's a problem. This restaurant has more far more cocktails than entrees on its menu, so it should not come as a surprise if guests want to come in for a few drinks and nothing else. I can understand that owners don't want people hogging a table if they aren't ordering enough, but there's got to be a better way of doing that. The other common experience I see is people being denied alcohol often. I wonder if part of the reason of this is because A) You have to climb 3 flights of stairs to get there and it's a legal concern or B) Their drinks are very strong so they're trying to be extra careful. All in all, we enjoyed our time, and would come again, but would be afraid to if only desiring libations. lol

I am starting to venture out more in Walnut Creek so when I was invited to a 60th birthday dinner, I thought perfect timing. It was festive because it was decorated for the holidays so it's like I was getting a 2 for 1. A great place to celebrate a birthday. The space is definitely appropriate for a celebration. and the food was good. They had a Bone- In Ribeye, Chilean Seabass, and a host of other choices, I kept it simple and ordered a salad. Most importantly, let me not forget about all of the drink options that were available. They had the classics and specialty cocktails. Fun times!! I can imagine this place in the summer, however what a vibe all year around. Cheers!!

Popped over to Rooftop for some Sunday funday! It was by the far the busiest and best scene in Walnut creek that afternoon. We enjoyed the cocktails and vibe!

Great lunch on this rooftop! What a great place to enjoy the sun today..... service was on point and attentive. My crispy duck was not crispy as the name stated but taste was great. His burger was delicious as well as truffle fries. My 'pear on me' drink was ok not sure if I would order again. Would definitely come back again especially on a nice day like today

The ambiance is lovely and open air in some areas with a gorgeous view of the area skyline. This is on the 3rd floor of a building that has two other restaurants on the first and second stories. First floor is a pizza place, second is Teleferic restaurant. Parking is street parking but is free after 8pm. This is in the small and quaint shopping plaza in Walnut Creek off of Diablo road.

Espresso martini, arnold palmer - Two drinks are on a wooden table: a coffee-flavored cocktail with coffee beans on top and a layered drink with lemon garnish.

first time! I've always wanted to try rooftop bc I was intrigued by how busy it is and how it's connected to 2 other restaurants. This is a WC Classic. Starting off they're known for their ambiance ofc, it's a perfect epicenter of broadway plaza and a good way to unwind after a long day of shopping. At night it could get pretty chilly so I suggest bringing something cozy and warm in case. Food is cool. Not too special but I did enjoy the quick service. The server checked on us a lot, kept the drinks coming, bussers always cleared the table & filled up water. They hooked us up with a birthday cake since I was celebrating mine! Short rib : probably the best I just wish they didn't use baby carrots lol it seemed low effort. 6.5/10 but amazing taste & really tender meat Spicy rigatoni : mild flavor 6/10 Espresso martini : sneaks up on you 8/10 Crispy Cauliflower : didn't know what the sauce was but I enjoyed the crisp. 8/10 Red velvet cake: yum! a little too sweet for me 6/10 I made a last minute reservation it was smooth.

They have a 2 hour seating time limit. On Friday and Saturday they have a DJ that plays music. The food and drinks here never fail us and this is kind of our GNO spot.

A person holds a glass of red wine in front of a blurred cityscape at night, with lights and buildings visible in the background.

Here for the New Years! Dinner was great, but the DJ was only one sided on the beats. All high tempo, and no change up. Was ready to bring in the the new year on the dance floor but it didn't happen. It was the same tempo the whole night. Bottom line , the DJ should have changed it up. Update: like I said, Dinner was great and staff was very friendly and professional. Alisson even took the time to reach out to me about my review! And because so, I have no problem upgrading my review! Cheers

I came here for my birthday, the hostess Ana was hospitable and kind. I was flustered that I didn't have coins for the meter and needed change and my friend was running late, she was patient with me. Once I was seated the view was fabulous the blue sky and the fluffy white clouds were breathtaking. I ordered the Spicy Maracuya and it was refreshing and spicy. I received four street size tacos and they were scrumptious, flavorful, and juicy. I gave only three stars as there was hair in my water as I took a drink, yuk! This is unacceptable and was a huge turn off, and disappointed that this manner wasn't taken seriously when I mentioned to my waiter. I did receive a complimentary mini cupcake with a candle for my birthday, a nice gesture.

Tomato and burrata
Sidney S.

Service was good, food was good, vibes were great! We also ordered oysters that I forgot to take a photo of! But would definitely recommend for a cute girls brunch! The salmon was prob one of the best things we had there. The tomato and burrata was good but the crostini or bread that they use was a bit too hard/crisp for our liking. It was almost cutting through the roof of our mouths from how hard the bread was. The tuna tartare felt more like a tuna poke style, flavor was good but the cut of each tuna pieces was a bit too big for my liking. The drinks are great though! Overall, I'd be back but not somewhere I'd be back too often! They have a good selection of food and drinks but after 2 to 3 visits, you'd prob have tried most or if not, everything on the menu already, especially in a bigger group setting.

I wanted to come here while I was pregnant because they have a HUGE selection of non-alcoholic drinks & cocktails. But we ended up checking it out after & appreciate their low alcohol options as well. For drinks, we started with a ESPRESSO MARTINI-LO (cold brew, vermouth di torino, px sherry, salt, maple, dark chocolate shavings) & a DIRTY BIRD (manzanilla sherry, veso olive vermouth, black lemon, parsley oil). Both were unique & very delicious! We ordered the small mezze plate that comes with 2 different dips of your choice. We opted for the whipped feta (with honey & fermented chili oil) & the charred eggplant (with roasted garlic, greek yogurt, sesame, & herbs). I loved the items veggies just as much as the pita bread it came with. For our mains, he ordered the PESTO EGGPLANT & HOT HONEY pizza (zhug "pesto", diced eggplant, mozzarella, red onions, honey, chili oil & feta drizzle). Excellent flavor, cooked perfectly, & a fairly good size. I ordered the IMPOSSIBLE KEFTA roasted skewer plate (Impossible beef with Moroccan spices, red onions, mint). The skewer plate came with the skewers, lettuce, tomato-cucumber-rose pickled onion mixture, feta + choice of sauce served with seasoned rice. I picked the Zhug sauce aka mediterranean pesto - mint, parsley, cilantro, garlic, olive oil, lemon, spices & chilis. Overall it was insanely delicious & I fully intend on coming back soon!

The concept is great, mocktails and low-alcoholic cocktails and lots of N/A wines and beers with a full vegetarian fusion menu. It just doesn't quite deliver. I had the bean patty burger and it wasn't flavorful. I ended up stealing my husband's ghost pepper harissa sauce and slathering it on. The butternut squash soup was not bad. He had the impossible kefte which he said was pretty good. The mocktails were okay. I had the pica pica and it could've used more spice and flavor. Tasted like a very refreshing cucumber and soda water rather than a mocktail. My husband was disappointed with his mock old fashioned. Beautifully presented but really not much there without the bourbon/whiskey. He wants to try the low alcohol version next time. This place might consider leaning more into the flavors of the Indian side of their fusion idea. And one tip on the service -- they could hold back a little. They were overly eager and kept interrupting our conversations and pushing more food on us. Might give them a few months and try again to see if they've improved.

Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from the start. When we arrived, the staff seemed extremely frazzled and unorganized. Right away, they told one of my guests (who wasn't even handling the reservation) that we only had two hours and needed to be out by 8 PM. That should have been communicated clearly ahead of time--and directly to me, not randomly to a guest. For a party of that size, a time limit should have been communicated via email when reservation was made. Logistically, 2 hours is not enough time for large parties and slow service. Service was also lacking. We only had one server for the entire group, and several people were completely missed--they never had their orders taken and didn't receive drinks. It took a long time just to get basic service going. The people who were missed had to get the server's attention to order. The food itself was very average especially considering how overpriced it was, but it is WC, so to be expected. When it came time for the birthday celebration, they did provide complimentary candles, which I appreciated. However, when I asked to proceed with cutting the cake, we were told there was no time because they had double-booked the table for 8 PM and the next party had already arrived. We were rushed through what should have been a special moment, which felt really unwelcoming. Overall, the lack of organization and poor handling of a large, pre-planned party made for a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for group events.
