We came here in a group of 6 and made a reservation in advance which made getting in and seated a much smoother experience. For food we ordered a handful of items like the hamachi toastada, lamb chop, a rice dish, falafel. The food is solid and my favorite was definitely the hamachi toastada. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had made the reservation through OpenTable under the birthday "package" which was a nice offer so they can take note of any birthdays. They included a nice card with my friend's name with a "happy birthday" note which was a nice touch. The ambiance was fun and modern, and everything just fit the theme of the place. This is where much of the good ends. The food was overall just ok. We ordered the shrimp creole, fried chicken, beet salad, chopped salad, artichoke and spinach dip, and collards. Nothing absolutely stood out to me. The fried chicken was crispy and probably my favorite dish, but I'm not at a stage where all I can eat is fried chicken so I really wanted the other dishes to stand out a bit more. My biggest gripe though isn't about the food - it was about the service. Our waitress was pretty attentive in the beginning, but after we were served our meal, I felt like we barely saw her. We had to flag someone else down several times to just get extra silverware and then boxes. And then while we've been all sitting around with boxes for a while, I had to look around for our server to call her over to get the dessert menu and then remind her of the birthday callout. They did bring over a nice candle for the birthday dessert (that isn't complimentary, by the way, which is fine). It was an overly pricey experience for ok food, and not so good service. When our food was delivered...no greens. They acted as if we hadn't ordered the greens. They did check the ticket to see what was ordered. We were a fan of none of it. They use too much sugar in their ingredients. The pork was good flavored, but was over cooked. The chicken was crispy but under cooked and too sweet. The Mac and cheese was gritty. The fish was too fishy. I've never had rock fish and never will again. The greens seemed to have baby rays in it. The spicey flavor. And I'm not sure what hard crunch was in the rice. But it was bland. They use "southern food" to classify the cuisine. It's cosplaying soulfood with heavy hints of bougie jolliebee. The decor and design of the restaurant is nice. *AVOID* The ambiance is great. Visually, the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately, that's about where the compliments end. Apparently the entire menu changed about a month ago, and I genuinely don't understand what happened in that kitchen. Fried chicken. Grits. Broccolini. Cornbread. Mac and cheese. How are you going to serve soul food with NO SOUL??? There was virtually no seasoning or flavor across the board--which is especially baffling because the previous Asian/Mediterranean fusion menu was shockingly delicious. The mac and cheese had a nice, creamy consistency, so I'll give credit where it's due. But again: WHERE IS THE FLAVOR? Then came the drinks. I ordered a cocktail featuring lemongrass and essentially received an alcoholic lemonade. When I asked what had changed, I was first told the gin was different. Then, after some hesitation, I was told there is now little to no lemongrass in it. So...why is lemongrass still part of the drink? The service somehow made the experience worse. A person I assume was the manager came over to ask about my cocktail. I told him plainly that it wasn't good and that I would not be drinking it. His response was essentially "okay," and the full drink sat untouched on our table for the rest of dinner. Not removed. Not replaced. Not comped. Just sitting there as a little centerpiece commemorating the entire experience. I'm perfectly happy to pay for food I ordered and simply didn't enjoy. But if management specifically asks about a cocktail, is told it's bad and sees that it hasn't been consumed, removing it from the table feels like Restaurant Management 101. We eventually mentioned it to our server, and she did remove it from the bill. Beautiful space. Great ambiance. Completely disappointing food and an equally disappointing response to feedback. I've been here twice now, once for happy hour and once for dinner. I wasn't a fan of happy hour only being available on the patio. Since it was summer, I think most people would've preferred the AC over 90-degree heat. My dinner experience, however, was much better. My friend and I were seated inside and ordered the cucumber salad, sweet potato tempura, and Hokkaido scallops. For drinks, we had the Strawberry Paloma and the Calypso, which came with a fiery shot of rum served inside a lime. Our server, Priscilla, started us off with complimentary marinated olives. The staff was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The cucumber salad was savory and refreshing. The sweet potato tempura had an incredibly crispy exterior with a slightly candied crunch. It was delicious. The Hokkaido scallops, served on a tostada with a savory sauce underneath, were another standout. To my surprise, the restaurant transforms into more of a club after 9 p.m. We wrapped up our 7 p.m. reservation around 10, just as the DJ started and the party crowd rolled in. Finally got to check out Stereo41! Saw some IG reels of their huge chicken wrap and been wanting to try it for the "longest" hahah. The wrap, salad, and bowls are available for lunch only, M-F until 5pm. Protein options: chicken, lamb, beef, trout, and halloumi & fig Omg, that wrap was actually huge! Like the longest I've seen! It was sooo good and flavorful! I love the side salad and cucumbers. It was a "light" meal and everything tasted fresh! The chicken was grilled perfectly and had a nice char. I loved everything about it! My bf got the chicken bowl and he also really enjoyed it! The rice was fluffy, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the yogurt/white sauce along with the stewed chickpeas went well together. I don't drink alcohol like that, so we opted for the Sour Candy, which was passionfruit, tamarind, lime, and soda. It was actually so good?! Would get again. The ambiance is also a vibe; it's the kind of place you want to love. I made a lunch reservation. I walked in to be seated, no one was there when I arrived. I waited about 5 -8 minutes, meanwhile took a few pictures. I started with the sour candy mocktail, $13. The drink was good, just like sour candy, light on tamarind flavor but it had over 50% of ice. I believe it watered down the flavor. Then I got one hamachi tostada, it was delish. The chili oil stood out. It gets messy eating it, but very good flavors. Slightly like a ceviche tostada. The price of $28 I felt was high for a small appetizer. The chicken wrap was delish and packed with meat. I liked the olives in it. It came with a cucumber salad which paired excellent. The cucumber salad was full of flavor. I could taste the mint, cilantro and fennel. Very refreshing. It also came with a side salad. I felt the side salad had too much dressing for my liking. The Moroccan paste/sauce it came with was super delish, flavorful tomato paste/herb with a kick. The wrap was def worth its value of $17, it was a nice size and heavy on meat. I ordered a tiramisu dessert $14, it was very cute, the bread was good tasting. He did mentioned it had banana... just didn't get that tiramisu feel or flavor it was a little more on the bland side for the cream. The bread inside of it was delish. It was an ok overall experience. The braised beef would be what brings us back ...cooked to perfection and served with a delicious tzatziki-style sauce that paired perfectly with the warm pita. The halloumi skewers were pretty tasty. The olives were enough to share. I could have skipped the cucumber salad..not much taste to it. Its not a club type atmosphere more like a lounge that has food and music which is nice. We came at happy hour so of course we tried drinks and food that was on the happy hour menu. We ordered the Little Red Corvette and the Silk Road. Both of the drinks were great. The little Red Corvette is one of those drinks that you could keep drinking so fast and then it hit you. The Silk Road had more of a sipper drink, manly because of the type of alcohol in it, you couldn't drink it fast like the little Red Corvette. For apps we ordered the Beef Karaz meatballs, the Halloumi cheese skewers, and the Mushroom Skewers. The apps came out pretty quick which was nice. The meatballs were tender, had a curry flavor to it, and the sauce that accompanied it was perfect sweet taste to it. The Cheese skewers were cooked perfect and tasty. The mushrooms skewers had some good flavor and also cooked perfect. The service was great as well. The employees were really nice and attentive. They recently changed their menu, so it was actually different from what my friends had when they originally recommended this place to me. The beet salad was amazing! My guests and I loved it so much that we ended up ordering another one. Definitely one of the standouts of the meal. The honey-battered fried chicken was delicious, crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. The pork chop was another one of my favorites. It was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. I just wish the cornbread was bigger because the combination of the honey and apple butter was seriously addictive! I could've easily eaten more. The short rib pepper pot was also really good. Just finished dinner here and it was such a great experience! The food is so tasty, creative, and flavorful. For the appetizer, we had the halloumi and shrimp dishes, plus the hamachi and poke tostadas. All of them were great! My personal favorite was the shrimp and the poke tostada. For entrees, we got the lamp chops, shrimp shishito risotto, and braised chicken. All three were great, the shrimp risotto was my favorite - absolutely delicious. The scalloped potatoes that come with the lamp chops are also incredible. The braised chicken is a very generous portion and enough to share, also tasty. We also got the cucumber salad and creamy chickpeas as our sides, our group loved both. Our last appetizer was the pita and hummus, which was heavenly and so fresh. For dessert, we got the tiramisu, halva chocolate cake, and baklava. Our group loved the tiramisu a lot. I am not a tiramisu girl, but I loved it. The service was also wonderful! Diana was our server and she was really sweet and attentive. She gave us a lot of great recommendations and was so helpful as we made our choices off the menu. The milk-strained cocktail was the most impressive item of the night, though it could've been better explained--specifically what alcohol was used = tequila. That said, the food quality was just okay overall. The oysters tasted a bit fishy despite the toppings, and the hamachi tacos fell short--the fish was noticeably stringy. Dessert was also a miss: the baklava arrived cold vs room temp or slightly warmed-- and took a full 37 minutes from order to table. It's a bit pricey for happy hour. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Came here with a work group. I have a food allergy, so I called ahead of time and asked if their food contains the allergen. I was told no. So, off we go for dinner. When we get there, around 6:30 or so, the place has only a handful of occupied tables. The music is so loud, we can hardly hear each other. We order drinks, which took a very long time to get to us. We finally get our drinks and start to order our food. By this time, we have been there for at least 30 minutes. I double-check with the server taking our orders whether the allergen is in any of the food. She replies that it is in EVERYTHING. So, here I am, at a table with my co-workers, and now I can't eat anything. The server was amazing and took some time to help me figure out what I could order. However, once the food arrived (after at least another 30 minutes), and I started to eat, I realized the food was not prepared without the allergen, as requested. I had a reaction. Luckily, it doesn't kill me but the side effects are every unpleasant. My manager went and complained and the manager, or owner or whomever, came over to the table. He gave a bunch of excuses and not once did he apologize. I dunno. Maybe it's just me... I've only been in the service industry for 30 years our so, but when a customer is rightfully unhappy, you apologize, at the very least. As I mentioned before, the music was so loud. I am fine with loud music. I definitely blast it at times but this was not an appropriate level for the time of day and the patrons in the restaurant. The music was club level loud, at 6:30/7pm. This wasn't 9 or 10pm. We saw 2 parties leave without being served. I'm sure the level of music had something to do with that. The service was incredibly slow as well, so I'm guessing that also had something to do with it. Now, the food is good; it's definitely good. However, the complete lack of organization, the slow service, the lack of situational awareness.... honestly, it's a HARD pass for me. I will never recommend this place to anyone. My guess is that Daddy funded the restaurant, and the "Manager" has no idea how to run a restaurant. Though tasty, the breakfast sandwich was not what I was expecting for the price. Serviice was great. But the one thing I have issue with is the fact that the waitress didn't tell me that a 20% tip was already added for our group of 6, especially when I had asked her directly if the tip was added and I ended up tipping more not knowing thta it was already added. I know places like this would automatically, include which is fine and why I ask to confirm. The restaurant tries to be fancy using a fusion of Japanese and middle eastern ingredients. Standard falafel with Nori, yet i couldn't taste or smell the nori and they managed to sell it for $16 for 5 pieces. The appetizer platter was typical hummus, muhamara which was not exactly that. And tasty cheese dip. The fresh vegetables were radishes, carrots, zucchini . The dishes were average of $40+ and given the quality and portions it was over priced. The sides were limited. We were celebrating a birthday and they didn't do anything special considering what they charge. The usual expectation is either a small candle or a small dessert or something but nothing like that. The lunch wraps and bowls here are too delicious to skip out on. This has become a must visit when we are in this area and a wonderful place to spend time at with loved ones. My friends and I had a fun time - Happy Hour on a Wednesday night! We got some cool vibes from the live DJ. My Espresso Martini was strong.
