As always this place never lets us down. Brought some friends who have never had Peruvian food and they enjoyed everything! The service was great as always! We needed up getting ceviche tower. I am so glad we did. Every single one had its own special flavor and large enough to share between four of us. We had some of our staple fav starters like the Camarones croquantes, and the chicken and fries. We washed it all down with a delicious lychee melon and had a great time catching up.

Service and Staff: - Came here on a Saturday evening during dinner time, so we expected a wait. The hostess took our information down and said it would be about a 30 minute wait. After 30 minutes, I went to go check on our place in line. I came in right after someone who had just entered. She said she wanted a table for 2 and the hostess seated her right away. After the hostess came back, I asked about my place in line and she said she was just about to call my number. Seems untrue given she had just seated someone who wasn't on the list. Food and Drinks: - Ceviche: always a hit with its refreshing flavor - Lomo Saltado: the main and only reason I come here. Always my go-to dish and always delicious Miscellaneous: - Parking is available via street parking and local parking garages - Indoor and outdoor seating available - Better for smaller groups - Definitely gets busy during peak meal times

We went to Limon and had a great meal. The service was spot on. Especially when the Server mentioned to my wife her plate will be 60 seconds, sure enough it was exactly that! Little things made the experience enjoyable. They have a great menu from very good empanada's/ ceviche selections, fresh fish and their rotisserie chicken. All very good, We sat outside had the heaters turned On when it was cooler it was very comfortable. I know we will be back.

Very much enjoyed my dinner here recently. I believe the menu is not "fixed," per se, it seems as though they rotate in new dishes from time to time. My choice was the Crispy Pork Belly Chaufa. She's a good one, even if you are like me and you usually hesitate to order pork belly. Theirs is soft and fatty and falls apart very nicely, while still delivering a supple crunch. I definitely recommend, AND I recommend asking for their sriracha aioli on the side. It adds a lovely creaminess to the dish. Their seafood-forward entrées are also quite flavorful. The espresso martini is just right. The tres leches cake is a perfect option for dessert, definitely shareable (or not).

A rare warm day in the bay of late, my brother and I ventured to find some good eats outdoors. Walnut Creek has many of such places so we ventured that way. For brunch, my brother decided on Limón for us. He was familiar with their food and I was interested in trying some place new. We arrived inside about 5 minutes prior to opening. The hostess was friendly and accommodated us to outdoor seating, alerting us our server would be out upon opening. The wait was brief. With menus of food and drink, we ordered immediately. Both the drink and food menus were quite extensive providing a variety of drinks options, mostly alcoholic, and an array of food highlighting mostly seafood and meat. The service was friendly and attentive, the drinks arrived immediately with our food following shortly after. My mango lemonade was not too sweet, fruit forward and refreshing for a warm day. My brother loved his mango prickly pear slushie so much he ordered a second. The pear flavor was light with more emphasis on mango, the icy ratio allowed the drink to be enjoyed without ice chunks or losing any flavor. The seafood was prepared beautifully, allowing each individual item to shine in its collective and the rice was well flavored without being overpowering in flavor. The dish was extremely harmonious. We both took half our meal to go as the portions are generous. I would definitely return to try a ceviche and half shell oysters. The privacy of seating, option for indoor or out, level of service and quality of food is undeniable. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I really love all the limon locations! This was my first time in Walnut Creek. We were seated outside very quickly despite not having reservation's. We got seated outside close to a heater and were very comfortable, dispite it being cold outside! Our waiter was very attentive and brought out all our extras very quickly, including water and our appetizer (he made great recommendations as well) The food we ordered was all tasty, including fries , half chicken , steak, seafood, and cocktails. Cocktails were a little sweet but that's ok, still tasty. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese and rotisserie chicken!

Had a girls' night here recently and it was my first time trying Limon--I can confidently say I'll be back. Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious and full of flavor, and the drinks were well made too. The ambience is really cool, though it can get pretty loud inside. We sat upstairs, which was a bit quieter and more enjoyable. I would've given this place 5 stars, but the service that night fell short. It took over 15 minutes for a server to come to our table, and another 5 minutes just to bring menus. There was also an awkward issue when we were being seated. The hostess brought us to a table, but then the owner came over and asked us to get up because it was supposedly reserved. He said someone would seat us elsewhere, which felt unnecessary since all the tables were the same and there were no reserved signs posted. Overall, it wasn't handled well and took away from what was otherwise a great experience.

Went to Limón for a casual dinner last night, where we ordeted the Seco de costillas (which never lets me down!) and a whole chicken with a side salad and french fries. My plate was the seco de costillas, first off - the meal is huge. I ate half last night & the other half for lunch today. The meat was tender, flavorful, and juicy. The rice was delicious lightly topped with fresh veggies. I always enjoy this dish but I almost think the Limón restaurants make it differently because I recall this dish having black beans at their San Mateo location. Service was good, it did take a while to get our orders placed but they were good about checking in on us after receiving our food & replenishing our water. Now, the ambiance is nice for an outing with friends, or possibly even a date. But it gets really loud in there because of the volume of the music, so you're likely yelling if you're engaging in conversation lol. I would love to try their platter next time which comes with steak, pork belly, and chicken!

I left my initial remarkable review, I was very impressed, I just hope that this new visit isn't overwriting my first one. This is an excellent place. It serves food uniquely Peruvian and wow it is amazing. I bet they have been eating food in Peru for a long time, because they have really amazing food. Taste, texture, presentation, it's all part of the food. You can eat ceviche, but add some Peruvian corn made different ways, peanuts and other things that it makes a dish go from spectacular to beyond. Lagarta beer is so great with the food. I highly recommend. The mixto Clasico ceviche is astounding. Pretty to look at and a delight to eat. The tart sauce is so delicious and with the Peruvian corn and other ingredients is an amazing combination. The canchito à la Diablo was such an amazing treat. The crispy pork belly is in a wonderful sauce of whatever degree of spicy that you want. Mine was mild and delicious. I am tempted to try medium next time as well as with the ceviche. This is a classy place. Definitely a super first or more date site. Definitely a great place to explore the wonders of Peruvian cuisine! Btw, let me comment about the service: it is totally friendly and hospitable. It is a big place, fully accessible, with out front, downstairs and upstairs tables, so don't be surprised if lots of people like to eat delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, and thus time things if needed. I was here at 11:45 am and obviously had very quick service. The time before, we had a party of 20 and had reservations for the top floor. They were very professional. They know that a table of 20 would take some planning, so we were all given time for drinks, appetisers, and for stragglers to arrive. Once they had us calculated the ordering and service was impeccable, or close. We were able to make multiple rounds of orders, figuring out what everyone liked best, a few more orders, don't forget to try their signature sour cocktails and plentiful bar menu. Ok that's enough for this review, can't wait for another, they are delicious!

My first time at the Walnut Creek location, but I've been going to Limon in San Francisco since college almost two decades ago -- and I'm happy to report Limon is still as delicious as ever. The table setup here is nicely spaced, so we actually had elbow room instead of feeling stacked on top of neighboring tables. Service was excellent. Fatima was kind, professional, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The leche de tigre in the pescado clásico was a standout -- bright, sour, and intensely flavorful, with spice that slowly crept up on me until I was sweating (in the best way). A must-order if you enjoy bold citrus and heat. The plantains were perfectly crispy and caramelized on the outside with a soft, sweet center -- a great balance to the savory dishes. The chicken was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The pieces are normal-sized and thoughtfully portioned, so a hungry person could easily finish a half chicken and leave satisfied. Overall, it's great to see that after all these years, Limon still delivers on flavor and quality. This location absolutely lives up to the reputation I remember.

10:10 with the steak 6:10 with the ceviche The ceviche trio tasted all the same. I wish it was spicy or each one of the them had a distinct flavor. All 3 ceviches on the trio had the exact flavor. Everything else including the empanadas were very tasty. Ask for their green spicy sauce to pair with the empanadas.

Food is always excellent and Roberto made it extra fun! Make sure you get some ceviche and the tres leches cake.

Limón was a great choice for a party of 16, I made reservations prior to our dinner but people rsvp'd last minute. The Restaurant would not accommodate us Therefore, we had to wait an hour and a half for our table. It was worth the wait! The dinner was amazing, delicious and great portion. The Bartenders were entertaining and very friendly. Our waiter, Miguel was attentive and delivered our food and drinks with professionalism (on point). It was a perfect night and we were seated outside. Our only concern was the rude hostess !! She had the biggest attitude I've ever dealt with at a Restaurant. It seemed as though she hated her job. She appeared to be very unhappy and definitely Not friendly at all, nor accommodating to customers. I completely understand being overwhelmed with customers, but we weren't even allowed to ask a question without getting attitude back from her. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and maybe the hostess was just having a bad day.

From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was exceptional throughout the night. The cocktails were also a standout -- the Old Mez, The Vintage, and even my Matcha Bliss mocktail were all . We started with the Brussels sprouts, mussels, and truffle fries. The appetizer portions were generous and satisfying. The mussels were cooked perfectly with a flavorful sauce that had us finishing every bite. The truffle fries were hot and crispy, served with ketchup and aioli. The Brussels sprouts had the perfect crisp in every layer, while the onion, apple, and bacon balanced the dish really well. Unfortunately, the lamb chops completely changed the experience. When the plate arrived, both my husband and I immediately noticed how small the portion was for a $45 entrée -- just a few lamb chops and four small carrots. Compared to the appetizers, it honestly felt more like an appetizer than a main course. I ordered mine medium rare, but my pieces came out rare and chewy with quite a bit of fat, leaving one bite of meat per piece. My husband's pieces were cooked more accurately, but his cuts were a little thicker than mine. For the price point, the dish simply didn't feel worth it or satisfying enough to be considered a true entrée. For two people, including tip, the bill was over $200. We would return, but next time we'd stick to cocktails and appetizers, because that's definitely where Chateau shines.

Beautifully presented but really not much there without the bourbon/whiskey. He wants to try the low alcohol version next time. This place might consider leaning more into the flavors of the Indian side of their fusion idea. And one tip on the service -- they could hold back a little. They were overly eager and kept interrupting our conversations and pushing more food on us. Might give them a few months and try again to see if they've improved.

After eating here, Italian restaurants needs to know how to make food. Just had an amazing experience at La Ekzina Grill & Cantina! The burrito was absolutely delicious -- packed with flavor and perfectly made. The shrimp was next level, super fresh and cooked just right. And the tacos... honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. Great food, great vibes -- definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you're craving real, quality Mexican food!

Service was immediate and super helpful from recommending delicious beers to describing items on the menu that I would not have considered. The full bar is a treat. With a variety of tequilas, mezcal and local craft beers. Such a plus. We had the fish tacos which are made on fresh hand made tortillas. EXCELLENT! Best fish tacos I have ever had. Not heavy on the batter and very tasty and fresh. I also had the cheese chile relleno which is stuffed proportionately correct with rice and cheese; but the sauce is really what made this dish stand out from any other chile relleno I've ever had. It is absolutely outstanding. Finally, we finished up with the house homemade flan which had the perfect texture and flavor. I did not want to leave ! That's how good everything is at La Ezkina. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend. P.S. Ambiance is laid back; warm and inviting AND they have a parking lot!

I told her I was ready to order. I had to study the menu in and out. First the tostada it was so so pretty. I didn't want to eat it. It was bursting with flavors. I appreciated the burst of new flavors so much. Then came my candy mocktail sweet sour it's just the way I love my drinks. But, 100% better! Then came my wrap chicken and a secret sauce. It was just so flavorful the chicken moist and the sauce perfect amount. The crisp on the outside of the wrap! Perfect! I honestly got full from the tostada. I couldn't stop eating it. I did taste the salad I love the lemon flavor it wasn't overpowering. I want to be a fly on the wall to see how everything was created! Perfection. The cutest baby and her mother were just so adorable. The little girl was just so so cute! She was a doll sweet as can be. I will really be back for the other wrap and mocktails. Also, for dessert. The server was just the sweetest! My Mocktail is still dancing on my tongue! Very enjoyable feat I can't wait to return. The food was played so Devine! I was told I would be charged if I missied the reservation as well. Day of dinner, my party arrived at Elia 20 mins ealry and was still told they couldnt sit down. In that time the restaurant decided to let another party sit at my reserved table instead. Finally arriving myself ( still 5 mins to soare before reservation) I see my entire family standing in the middle of the restaurant. ( Only black family in the entire building of course) after questioning the fron door person she told me shes trying to get a table and wait at the bar?! 35 mins later my family was seated. Thinking I would have an apology for the miscommunication, I had to request my own birthday desert as they gave a lit candelr and song to guest around. And yes the restaurant knew it was my birthday they even had the menus changed. I go to this restaurant a lot so im still very upset how my family and I were treated and I bullied down to confirm my reservations multiple times. Overall. This is my last time at Elia. I hope this is reviewed and Elia updates their customer service. Thank you to the waiter who did her best with so many issuesz -Kiarra R.

On my last two visits we ordered just from the appetizer selections, and every dish was superb. After seeing a flaming dish at an adjacent table, I knew I had to try it. It was Greek cheese lit on fire, then extinguished with lemon juice. Fantastic. The lamb meatballs and the grilled octopus were outstanding. Definitely one of my favorte places to go.
