This place is great! We met some friends here because we had heard it was good and decided to try it for lunch. We all had different food. I had the mushroom spinach ravioli, which was absolutely excellent. My wife had the vegetarian ravioli, which she also said was very good. Our friends had two other dishes which they enjoyed, and we shared an appetizer. There was plenty of the appetizer for all four of us. Not only was the food good, but the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and made sure that everything was right. Midway through the meal, the manager, or owner, came over to make sure everything was good. Beautiful views of the bar. Loved the relaxed vibe. Decor was spot on. Server was very nice and attentive. Ordered ... beets with honey ricotta. 4/5. Needed a pinch of salt. Otherwise nice and flavorful. Marechiara. Squid ink pasta with scallops and clams. 4/5. pasta was tasty and flavorful with nice chew. Nicely seasoned and not spicy. Just enough. Pork belly rigatoni. Al dente pasta. Pork belly wasn't fatty at all. Tomato based sauce was nicely seasoned and tossed. 4/5 Tiramisu. A bit watery. Not enough lady finger to custard ratio. Sugar wasn't fully dissolved so bites of the dessert had grains of sugar at the bottom. Also, the custard was over whipped. Wished it was a bit more dense. 3/5 Cannoli. Loved the crunch of the shell. The pop of lemon zest was refreshing. The filling itself was okay l. Comparing it to NYC, where I last had a cannoli. 3.5/5 Crust bread was yummy with their house dipping sauce. We loved the new location of Doppio Zero! The food was delicious, our server was attentive and friendly, and the entire restaurant was spotless. We especially enjoyed the beautiful new interior design, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The only thing that felt a bit confusing was the greeting when we first arrived. We were welcomed with "Can I help you?" which made us briefly wonder whether we should wait to be seated or check out another restaurant. read more

The restaurant at this location has been opened for about 3 weeks. We were able to walk right in at 8:00 on a Saturday night. The servers were very attentive and I love the casual setting of the restaurant. We ordered one of our favorite pizza, Doppio Zero, a little gem salad, fettuccine with with oxtail, and rigatoni with pork belly. Everything was delicious. read more

Just discovered the new Doppio Zero location in Walnut Creek, and it was the best . The food was excellent--especially the white and red veggie pizzas we ordered. Easily one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The crust was thin, perfectly baked, and light enough that it felt like a guilt-free indulgence. We also tried the arugula salad topped with pumpkin seeds and blue goat cheese, which was fresh, well-balanced, and paired perfectly with the pizza. A great clean and satisfying dinner overall, especially enjoyed with beer. What stood out was the service--they were attentive and very accommodating with our vegetarian preferences, making thoughtful substitutions without any hassle. Checked out the new Doppio Zero in WC today. Overall the service was good, we were seated right away and had a choice of tables. (We sat at a the front portion of the restaurant which had open doors to the outside of the restaurant). Overall, the service was good. It took a little while for us to get our waters in the beginning but once we got an experienced server, things were smooth afterwards. This is a new restaurant so they are training a bunch of new servers so it might take a little bit for them to get the hang of things. The ambience was chill and relaxing. The owner was walking around as well and checking in with tables. The food was amazing. Everything from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert was really delicious. The beet salad was phenomenal. The pizzas were really good, a little soggy towards the middle of it, but the crust was amazing. The desserts were amazing, especially the vanilla bean gelato. Will definitely be coming back and trying other things on the menu. Glad we have this new spot in WC. read more

Had a fantastic lunch at Doppio Zero in Walnut Creek! The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We ordered the pesto pizza, gnocchi, and a couple of cocktails, and every item was delicious. The pesto pizza was perfectly cooked with a light, airy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The gnocchi was soft, pillowy, and packed with rich flavor. The cocktails were well-balanced and made a great complement to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a date night, dinner with friends, or a family outing. Had dinner tonight at Doppio Zero and overall our experience was just ok. I've eaten at the location in San Carlos and tonight's experience was totally different. Food was good overall and had the right flavors, shared the cauliflower and the artichokes which were the highlights. We also had two pizzas, both seemed like they needed 30 or so seconds longer in the oven. (No char or crispiness on the bottom) Where things were totally off was the bartenders. It was a male and female and it was like neither of them knew what they were doing. We sat 8 ft from the bar and could see what they were doing or not doing, they constantly talked and goofed around with each other more than they were making/serving drinks. The restaurant was less than half full and drinks took a LONG time to be made and served. We were done with our appetizers before our drinks came to the table. Dinner companion ordered the DZ old fashioned and the first one didn't come with the indicated foam. The second one didn't come with the orange. Our second round of drinks came after we were done with our meals - I ordered the Lambrusco prior ordering my dinner and requested to have it with my pizza/dinner and it cane when we were finished eating. No management was ever seen walking around asking how anyone or anything was or even monitoring the staff and I was surprised that this wasn't happening. I asked where the manager was and she was sitting at the front table the entire time talking. Great pizza is one of my favorite things and this wasn't it. I wouldn't go back. read more

Visit Naples and the Amalfi Coast without leaving the East Bay. Honestly, if you've been to either, you long for that kind of experience and food, but just can't quite find in the states. But my family and I just had a micro vacation to Naples tonight at Doppio Zero In WC. Everything you love about Italy dining is here. Chef is Neapolitan and has somehow figured out how to import those essential Italian ingredients and craft. Food was delicious! To start we ordered the burrata and tuna tartar. Both were fresh and flavorful, and they paired nicely with a cool glass of the Falanghina (white wine recommended by our server).
