From the moment I walked in I knew I was in for a treat. The exterior looks gorgeous and the interior was just beautiful. We were seated immediately and had the friendliest and informative server, I believe her name is Ashley. She went over the lunch options and made a fantastic recommendation. We ordered a hamachi tostada, chicken wrap, halloumi skewers, along with Sour Candy and a red spritz. Everything was super flavor. The drinks were refreshing, the skewers were a nice balance of sweet and salty, the tostada was an explosion of flavor with the creaminess from the avocado, the spice, the citrus, and the hamachi was so fresh. The chicken wrap was incredible and I was not expecting the size to be a foot long! Overall, I'll definitely be coming back.

Sour Candy - be sure to give it a good swirl!

Dropped in for a Yelp Elite event and was very impressed. Background music was a nice lunch touch - not too loud so you couldn't talk yet you could hear the tunes. Host was fantastic, took the time to explain the event to me, accommodated my request for a window facing seat, and made sure I had a good experience. Server was fantastic and I appreciated her recommendation to be sure to squirm the lime on the tostada. Definitely coming back with the Mrs for happy hour! Sour Candy Mocktail.... first sip came across as grapefruit juice but second sip was full flavors of tamarind, passion fruit. Super delicious, mild puckering. I suspect the juice was in the straw when it was placed in the glass! Hamachi Tostada... fantastic flavors, just the right amount of spices, hamachibwas super fresh and tender, nice subtle sauce, great balanced. The crunch of the tostada was a nice touch. Chicken wrap.... big wrap full of chicken and loads of flavor. Tender meat, nice condiments, slightly toasted wrap was subtly crunchy.

I really loved the ambiance!! The tostada was to die for!! However, the chicken wrap was good but if the wrap had more sauce it would of been better as the chicken was a little dry. However, I will be coming back because it looks like this is the place to go to at lunch and I had a mocktail which was delicious!!

We saw this place the last time we were in town hanging out and said the next time we come to town we would try it out, so here we are. The inside is really nice and the DJ playing music is great. Its not a club type atmosphere more like a lounge that has food and music which is nice. We came at happy hour so of course we tried drinks and food that was on the happy hour menu. We ordered the Little Red Corvette and the Silk Road. Both of the drinks were great. The little Red Corvette is one of those drinks that you could keep drinking so fast and then it hit you. The Silk Road had more of a sipper drink, manly because of the type of alcohol in it, you couldn't drink it fast like the little Red Corvette. For apps we ordered the Beef Karaz meatballs, the Halloumi cheese skewers, and the Mushroom Skewers. The apps came out pretty quick which was nice. The meatballs were tender, had a curry flavor to it, and the sauce that accompanied it was perfect sweet taste to it. The Cheese skewers were cooked perfect and tasty. The mushrooms skewers had some good flavor and also cooked perfect. The service was great as well. The employees were really nice and attentive. We will definitely be back to try some entrees.

Very cute upscale and modern restaurant with a live DJ! This place reminds me of something you'd find in Santa Monica or DTLA! Service was very friendly and attentive! We stopped in for some cocktails and a quick bite before our dinner reservation elsewhere and the pre-dinner vibes were perfect. Brunch menu was short and sweet but had some good options. Pricing is on the higher side but makes sense for the area. Will definitely be back for dinner some time!

I recently hit up Stereo 41 at Happy hour with my foodie friend, I went in the middle of their HH and sat right up at the Bar with the Bartender Juan, I had ordered a few Appetizers off the menu and the drinks were pretty good. I gave the Bartender a custom recipe for a Drink I made and he nailed it. My frend had ordered their version of the Manhattan and it tasted great with the Cardonmon. Mushroom Skeweres, Tuna Tartare, and Hamachi Tostadas were really good. Definitely a new place to try before they start the Music and Live Deejay. I believe if we stayed a little later, we missed the Belly dancing performance. Maybe next time when we go there for dinner.

I came for brunch, their seafood was very flavorful. It is a bit pricey but cute place for a date. The service was very quick. I really like their hamachi tostado and trout sashimi.

My east baes and I had this spot as our next conquest for HH and we enjoyed it! Cuisine is a hybrid of Middle Eastern and Japanese Drinks were tasty, I liked the milk margarita. Food was cool, the hamachi tostadas were fire! There was a DJ spinning and the vibe was chill- there was a variety of customers ranging from family dinners to formal date to us gals having HH. Nice hip new spot in downtown WC- a bit pricy but different!

An interesting atmosphere where brunch felt like a club. Definitely a place to go for dinner and drinks. The food was tasty. The baklava french toast was beautiful and delicious. Though tasty, the breakfast sandwich was not what I was expecting for the price. Serviice was great. But the one thing I have issue with is the fact that the waitress didn't tell me that a 20% tip was already added for our group of 6, especially when I had asked her directly if the tip was added and I ended up tipping more not knowing thta it was already added. I know places like this would automatically, include which is fine and why I ask to confirm. I'm happy to tip more if the service is exceptional, but maybe the DJ needs to turn down the music so people can actually hear each other.

Stereo 41 is the real deal! Incredible fusion of Middle Eastern flavors and Japanese influence. We came for a birthday lunch and were blown away by the food and the service. Don't miss: -Hamachi Tostada: 10/10. The highlight of the day. -Halloumi Kebabs: The fig and honey glaze is a game changer. -Chocolate Halva Cake: A "must" for chocolate lovers--tastes like a high-end Ferrero Rocher. -Drinks: Even the zero-proof options (Verjus Spritz and Sour Candy) are sophisticated and delicious. Special shoutout to our waitress! Our waitress noticed that I gave my friend flowers and a gift. She quietly asked who and what was the special occasion before we were seated. At the end of the meal, she surprised us with a candle and a chocolate birthday sign on our dessert. Such a class act. Walnut Creek needed a spot like this--I can't wait to return.

Dinner was delicious! The service was wonderful. I can't praise Tara enough for the wonderful conversation and food recommendations! My table ordered everything she recommended, and I was pleasantly surprised with the unique flavors and textures of the various dishes. The Halloumi Cheese looked like tofu and had a similar texture but when you bite into it with the fig, honey, and sesame, you are greeted with a nice salty and sweet flavor combination. I also enjoyed the Hamachi Tostada. While it was another great dish, just beware there is a slow burn to this one. The chili will sneak up on you! If you choose to get the Hamachi Tostada, I recommend you order the Limonada mocktail. The creaminess of the drink will help put out the burn. The braised beef paired perfectly with the turmeric rice. The crunch of the pistachios was a nice touch to the rice. I expected the radicchio salad to be bitter but the berry vinaigrette and burrata helped balance the flavors so it was not bitter at all. If it's an option on the menu for the night, try the Miso Almond Ice Cream. It was an unexpected but flavorful dessert. The ambiance felt like a contemporary and trendy lounge. Although there wasn't a DJ present (he/she apparently comes around 9:00 pm), the music wasn't too loud. I could hear the conversation at my table. It was overall a fun and delicious place to try in Walnut Creek.

Went for happy hour, though we ordered dessert from the regular menu. The vibe is a standout--great mix of modern and throwback, and the service was genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. The food has unique flavor twists that work. The milk-strained cocktail was the most impressive item of the night, though it could've been better explained--specifically what alcohol was used = tequila. That said, the food quality was just okay overall. The oysters tasted a bit fishy despite the toppings, and the hamachi tacos fell short--the fish was noticeably stringy. Dessert was also a miss: the baklava arrived cold vs room temp or slightly warmed-- and took a full 37 minutes from order to table. It's a bit pricey for happy hour. The dinner menu does have some intriguing entrées, so it might be worth another visit to try those instead.

Tiramisu

The food was excellent. Service was a little slow (hence minus one ), but overall it's was good. We couldn't get inside, even with a reservation, we were only able to sit outside. Food was very good. We got the Nori Falafel, Shrimp Shishito Risotto, Hokkaido Scallops, and Tiramisu. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but there is a parking garage around the corner. Street parking is available, but limited. Best to make reservations. Walk-ins are available, but on a busy night like tonight, walk-ins couldn't get in. We definitely plan on coming back.

My husband and I came here yesterday for a date night and really enjoyed our meal…read more First off, the drinks were good and really quite strong! I got their lavender cocktail (I forget the actual name) and would definitely get it again. The food was - wow - outstanding! Their salmon had a glorious crispy outside and the potatoes were also nice and crispy. The asparagus was nicely seasoned and the soy glaze on top was delightful. Every bite was *chefs kiss*. My husband also loved his rigatoni. The prices? They aren't cheap. This isn't an every week type of place; but I don't think they are completely out of the ballpark taking into account the quality and location. Drinks are $16-$18 and entrees are ~$25-45 range. The service was very good! Our waiter was very polite and attentive, and staff was very good at clearing our plates, filling water etc. The ambiance? I have mixed feelings on. I love the view, and the decor was nice. Buuut the music was a bit too loud. And it was club type music...Luckily we were in a spot that wasn't fully covered so the sound could escape a little more, but still, I wouldn't say it's fantastic for a romantic evening as it's hard to hear what others at your table are saying. I would say choose softer music, let people enjoy the view and not be overwhelmed by noise. I see a lot of reviews about this place being stingy when it comes to seating you if you don't buy food. Obviously, we didn't face this obstacle as we did intend to order dinner. However, the host did ask us if we were going to order food; and I wonder if we would have said 'no', then we would have been turned away? If so, that's a problem. This restaurant has more far more cocktails than entrees on its menu, so it should not come as a surprise if guests want to come in for a few drinks and nothing else. I can understand that owners don't want people hogging a table if they aren't ordering enough, but there's got to be a better way of doing that. The other common experience I see is people being denied alcohol often. I wonder if part of the reason of this is because A) You have to climb 3 flights of stairs to get there and it's a legal concern or B) Their drinks are very strong so they're trying to be extra careful. All in all, we enjoyed our time, and would come again, but would be afraid to if only desiring libations. lol

I will also say that the service was very good- considering that it was very crowded at the time, however I had an odd experience with a hostess. I made a reservation in advance to celebrate my mom's birthday- when my family arrived, we were quite literally ignored by the hostess for about 10 minutes. She then made us wait 20 minutes into our reservation because another table wasn't finished with their meal. I initially didn't think anything of it (after all, it was a busy night)- until another group of white women who had made a reservation were immediately attended to by this hostess, and were given a table at a significantly better lit area. My indian family was made to sit at the corner of the restaurant, by the bathrooms. However I want to keep in mind that maybe it was a bad day, and the rest of the staff were very polite to us.
