Cool late night vibe during the week. However, I hear the weekends are crazy. The bartenders are cool and attentive. I don't think they have any food.

Strong cocktails. Young crowd. Nice blend of new and old school music. Small dance floor but still a great vibe on a Saturday night.

First time here and the vibe was good. Crowd had good energy. Blend of all cultures and music.

An acquaintance I came here with last night said: "Last time I was here, they played Bauhaus, The Cure, and The Smiths." Hmmm... really? I wonder if they know the lyrics to Panic: Burn down the disco Hang the blessed DJ Because the music that they constantly play IT SAYS NOTHING TO ME ABOUT MY LIFE Hang the blessed DJ [...] Hang the DJ Hang the DJ Hang the DJ... This place has so much potential it's not even funny. They're trying the whole We're so cool let's make this a secret club kind of place. The patrons are mostly twentsomething Creekers. There's money to be spent here... this ain't your typical grunge underground avant-garde crowd. Hell... they even got a dress code! Imagine that... That's totally fine by me, but then cater to that crowd with your selection of music. Right now, the look of this place reminds me of the underground goth clubs I went to in SoMA in the late 80s, early 90s, minus the OD'ing junkies that you had to step over to get inside. Personally here's the artists I'd be playing in heavy rotation: Joy Division, Tones on Tail, Jesus & Mary Chain, Sisters of Mercy liven it up with some Happy Mondays & Stone Roses, The Streets... Throw in some angst when the crowd needs to be reminded to drink... maybe some Dead Milkmen here and there. The playlist doesn't need to be melancholic, but get your musical priorities in order!!! I'm giving 'em 3 stars for potential and because the people working the place were all very friendly and approachable. My sister in law misplaced her purse and the bouncer put it safely away for her behind the bar. Back in my SoMA club days, that purse would have been ripped to bits and whatever liquidity could be extracted would already have been mainlined into people's veins. So having a cool avant-garde club that is more safe... that's pretty cool. And I think they should cater to the Monday - Friday crowd who ain't got the time to make it to the City. What say you? There's no DJ... it's a jukebox. Hmmm... well, then... sometime it might be good idea to take power *FROM* the people.

Do they still have karaoke ? What nights karaoke and time?

Is this spot open now? I'm looking to go somewhere for drinks and more drinks 😆

    Yes open everyday.

    How well do they card?

Don't expect to get a drink without a card. They wouldn't even let my friend in with her expired ID.

Tables basically stacked on top of each other making conversation difficult and you will hear what the people next to you are talking about. The food just isn't good, full stop. Under-seasoned, overcooked, just lackluster all the way around. Drinks are okay, but take forever as the bar is tiny and the cocktails complicated. I feel bad for the bartenders, they should have at least 3x the space to work in. I respect the owners for shooting their shot, trying to get an upscale place into downtown Walnut Creek, but unfortunately they missed. New menu and perhaps a conversion to more of a supper club type menu as it would fit the decor, might be worth exploring...

I've been here twice now, once for happy hour and once for dinner. I wasn't a fan of happy hour only being available on the patio. Since it was summer, I think most people would've preferred the AC over 90-degree heat. My dinner experience, however, was much better. My friend and I were seated inside and ordered the cucumber salad, sweet potato tempura, and Hokkaido scallops. For drinks, we had the Strawberry Paloma and the Calypso, which came with a fiery shot of rum served inside a lime. Our server, Priscilla, started us off with complimentary marinated olives. The staff was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The cucumber salad was savory and refreshing. The sweet potato tempura had an incredibly crispy exterior with a slightly candied crunch. It was delicious. The Hokkaido scallops, served on a tostada with a savory sauce underneath, were another standout. To my surprise, the restaurant transforms into more of a club after 9 p.m. We wrapped up our 7 p.m. reservation around 10, just as the DJ started and the party crowd rolled in. I'd definitely come back for dinner, or stop by later in the evening for drinks and dancing with friends.

We started with the chips and salsa, and they were a great way to kick things off. The chips tasted fresh and were perfectly crispy. Both the red and green salsas had really good flavor without being overly spicy. We also ordered spicy margaritas, and the bartender definitely knew what they were doing. The drinks were well-balanced with just the right amount of heat. For our entrees, we ordered the burrito, carne plate, enchiladas, and the bee salad. The standout was definitely the carne--it was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. The burrito was absolutely massive and packed with flavor, while the enchiladas tasted homemade and were comforting and delicious. Everyone at the table left happy. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent drinks, and attentive service despite how busy they were. Fantastic drink. My friend tasted mine and ordered the same. The selection is the draw here. Whiskey lines the entire back wall, the rarer bottles sit behind wire-mesh locked cabinets, and there is a deep bench of tequila, beer on tap, and wine to round things out. One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff. The vibe is chill and conversation-friendly, not too loud for the size of the room, with a bank of TVs toward the back if you want to catch a game. Logistics are easy. The bar sits a short walk from Pleasant Hill BART and parking in the area was no trouble. I've been a few times before and this visit confirmed why I keep coming back.
