Been here twice for some pool and a few drinks. First off, prices are great. Last time we went, had a group of 12 of us, we had 2 tables for around 4 hours and was only about $100 for pool. Drinks aren't fancy but are reasonably priced and do the job. Variety of beers on tap and a stocked bar. Bartenders and all the other workers are friendly and quick to serve you and pick up empty glasses. They only have some chips and nuts to buy but they do let you bring in food, which is a great option. read more

Decent place for pool, however I suggest you keep your receipts. They change tip amounts without authorization and gave themselves a 34% tip that my credit card company gave me notice of. If I ever go back I'll be sure to bring cash. read more

I've been looking for a local spot that offers shuffle board and I've finally found it! The specific location of the board isn't the best. It's sandwiched between two restrooms and the back parking lot door. However, I came here during a 4-6pm timeframe mid-week and was pleasantly surprised by how large the space is. They have a decent selection of beers on tap, including my summer favorite of High or Hell Watermelon from 21st Amendment. As long as I'm there during a less busy time like this, then I will continue to visit for a cold one and some shuffle board. read more

I am not one to write reviews, but lately I feel i have to. I'm a local, been playing pool at this establishment for twenty years. I'm an avid pool player. When I first came onto this place, i thought I had come onto a halfway decent pool hall. It started out that way, and I was content to play and practice. Fast forward to current times and I feel that it's slowly taking a turn for the worst. Mostly from the staff, security guards etc, etc. I've spent my share of hard earned money at this place over the years. But it seems that regulars and pool league players are not valued as what they used to be. Shame I sure like playing pool here too. So that is the reason for my 2 star review. I would hope that if read by management, they would go over their customer relations and treat people with kindness and respect. It's amazing how a business can flurish by doing so. read more

The staff are so friendly, just started visiting this place and always get treated like an old friend. The drinks are reasonably priced and well proportioned, super yummy too! My husband & I came here last Fri evening. Both my husband & I got a Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing, on tap $7ea. We decided to go ahead and play shuffleboard, since it's free. Unfortunately one end of the table sits right outside the women's bathroom, so we kept having to move out of the way of the door, which was rather annoying. The other end of the table is right next to the door that leads outside to the smoking area. They leave the door open so smoke was coming inside. They have 10 pool tables, which are $8 per hour during the day, and $15 per hour at night, which I thought was rather pricey. They also have 2 dart boards which are also free. read more

The name is exactly what you get. Plenty of pool tables to go around, and the fellow patrons were friendly enough. I'm not big on bars, but I stopped by because some friends were in town to celebrate two of them getting married. We came here for a bit of an "afterparty," so to speak. My one knock is one of the employees asked for my ID in a real douchey way. He didn't have to bump into me and shout at me to show him an ID. Why did I think this place was Pool and Coffee? Never realized it was a bar. Came here on a Friday night with friends and had a blast. Got some drinks, played shuffleboard and darts, all surprisingly were free. The staff there were attentive and saw we were interested in playing each game and brought all the stuff to us. Lots of TVs, pool tables, tables and chairs. Could see myself coming here to watch games and hangout. I had so much fun and can't wait to come back. I am not a fan of sports bar atmosphere. I went here for a friends birthday and I was having a bad dry spell where I wasn't drinking because my body just needed time to heal. I have decided that someday I will go to karaoke every night for one week. But not this week. Next week doesn't look good either. As part of my research for my week-o-karaoke, I wanted to find a Sunday night karaoke spot. Luckily, I had my fabulous fiance, Jac C, and great friend, Jackie V, to help with the mission. I started with yelp and although a few places had reviews touting Sunday night karaoke, no Sunday night karaoke was to be found. I googled karaoke and found a list of most Bay Area karaoke locations, including days and times. Cue & Brew was on that list. After a quick call, karaoke for Sunday night was confirmed. I had only been to Cue & Brew one other time. I'm not sporty so I never have a strong urge to play pool but went with friends a couple years ago so they could play. They have a ton of pool tables and seems like a fun place for those that like that sort of thing. Sunday night karaoke was fun here. The place is really big and it took some maneuvering to get from where we were seated to the "stage". The KJ was very nice and welcoming and the sound is good. There were also a lot of really great singers but it wasn't crowded and we were able to sing a few songs before it got late. The only thing I didn't care for is that new singers are put in the middle of the rotation. I prefer a consistent rotation with the new people being added at the end. (I'm a planner.) Country is definitely the genre of choice here. When I return for my week-o-karaoke I think I'll be singing some Tammy Wynette. read more

I'm at odds. Do I give a 2 star rating or a 3 star rating? Every time I come here, I ask myself why the hell is it so crowded? I suppose it's so because it's the only bar in the area. With all that said, they have shuffleboard and a lot of pool tables. I like the spacing they're far apart enough so you can be comfortable without competing for space to shoot pool. There's not much diversity, and I guarantee you I was the only Asian in the place as well, but unlike the WC bars, I wasn't overlooked with service or anything like that. In fact, I got prompt service. However, it took my friend Daniel who was hispanic 15 minutes to close out his tab. Man does it get crowded. Also, they don't accept passport or military ids. They did, however, take my EXPIRED drivers license. OOOOOK. There's a mix of a bunch of ages and there's no dress code. From girls wearing Vegas-appropriate wear to people wearing jeans and a T, I think anything and everything is acceptable. Watch out for creepy old men that ask you what your sign is and tries to hold your hand. BTW 5 dollar cover. That changed my 3 star to 2 star. C'mon. This is martinez. read more

Me and 7 other coworkers went here on a Friday night was having a good time, we brought in wing stop which is right next door since they don't have food which is dumb, my coworkers pulled out a water bottle and security came over and ask her to throw it away so we was all confused then the so called manger came over yelling and giving us hella attitude over a bottle of water after we spent like 300$ there and had no issue with greasy chicken wing and fries smh so unprofessional and will never becoming here again and I'm going to let everyone know not to come here and just some food for thought if your mad you make 9$ a hr find another job!!!!!!!!! read more

This place is the absolute WORST! Staff is terrible and rude (honestly all of them... security and staff behind the bar). Its shocking they have customers at all. Drinks are way too overpriced and not mixed well. Even the tap tasted off...like, hasn't been cleaned in some time, off... I am surprised they aren't shut down yet. Great local spot where the blue collar boys hangout! Ladies take note.... the ratio of men to women is like 10 to 1! Great service from both bartenders on a Monday night. Lots of televisions to watch the games and clean pool tables ready to rack! This place has gone to sh*t. We arrive at 1:05 am thinking, "Cool, we have time for one round." We get our ID's checked at the door and the bouncer wouldn't let my friend in with a passport....seriously? Now, realizing that a passport isn't a valid ABC I.D., she opted to drive back to SF - but myself and my 2 other girlfriends hung around for one more pint. Just ironic that she's been using that passport at every nightclub and bar from Walnut Creek to San Francisco - but the ever-so-lavish Cue and Brew wouldn't accept it. Regardless, 1:05am, ID's checked...walk up and order a pint. About 5 minutes later - they call last call. What?? Whatever - we only wanted one beer anyway. But then 5 minutes after that, an a$$hole of a bouncer walked around and ordered everyone to slam their drinks. WTF. We didn't order a beer just so we could slam it within 5 minutes...you shouldn't have let us in the bar if you were planning on closing down inside 10 minutes. The bouncer was a total d*ck, barking orders at everyone like we were inmates and mealtime was up - hey a$$clown...did you forget we were customers? So with near-full pints in hand, about 1/4 of the way finished - we went back to the bartender and got a refund. The bartender was happy to oblige - so there's the one star. read more
