Came in on a quiet, chill Labor Day weekend around 4 pm. Ordered a Margarita in honor of Jimmy Buffet. Not sure how long I wanted to chill but decided to stay because service was quick and bar patrons were non intrusive. Music selection ran the gamut from REO Speedwagon to Spice Girls to some Indie stuff. TV was on to some John Wayne western. Bonus tips: bring cash cuz they have a $1.75 card fee. I went on Halloween night. Let me just say yikes. I'm not sure how this place has such good reviews. My one experience ruined it for me. The guy who was doing drinks that night had terrible customer service, made comments about me and my partners weight (which was weird), was making jokes that were weird and left all of us uncomfortable, and the cherry on top, he didn't know how to make any drinks since he was a 'sound guy'. Had to drink nasty drinks. The ambiance was nice and the music was great and the prices were fair. It was just the worker who ruined the night. Weird dude. When I first entered toots I thought it was rather small. I had no idea there was a back room for shows! The place is actually pretty nice and has ample space inside. Stopped in for the first time in many years at the beginning of the month and I enjoyed a couple of early afternoon drinks with my boyfriend, and some light conversation with Matthew, who was bartending. He answered some of our questions about the bar and even welcomed us back for an event taking place the following weekend. Toots is a great spot for music (even as they opened there was good music playing, but live music can be heard here on weekends). I remember seeing a friend's band, Forrest Day, play here several years ago, and it's a great venue to listen to good bands! Bathrooms are clean and there's lots of seating at the bar. My new local. Bartenders are great, lots of regulars, very laid-back small town vibe. They've got Ghost Town on tap and in cans, which is big for me. About half the bar is a music venue and they get all kinds of acts in there. I've seen a great blues band (comprised mostly of the locals/regulars) and a rockabilly group just in the last week. My wife and I stopped in and had a terrific time! The prices were good and the staff was very friendly and attentive even when they were very busy. They don't have food but there is an awesome sandwich shop next door that the bartender recommended and they let you bring it inside which is awesome, I also loved that they had 2 football games on the entire time I was there! read more

The bar itself is our type of place for sure. Angel the bartender was amazing. However, Jerry was not. We ordered a Hendrix & soda and a Malibu & coke. He poured a Hendrix & coke and a Malibu & soda. We quickly realized and mentioned it to him to have it fixed, no big deal. He pretty much accused us of lying and started arguing with us saying he knew what he poured and we were wrong. He was super rude to my mom and then claimed he didn't have her card. Another bartender helped him find it as he did have it behind the bar. Honestly, we thought the atmosphere and bar was great but won't be back because of him. It was an easy fix but he turned it into a bad experience for us. read more

Best dive bar in Crockett . Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff. The kitchen was closed when I was there, so I wasn't able to try the food. Kinda hard to park in that town, so plan on a short walk. It's overall a great historical town and this tavern fits right in. read more

Fabulous people in a fun tiny town named,Crockett. I adore Crockett. It takes me back to small town suburban life. The local store, the local bar and so many beautiful views. Toots is a treasure. I am so glad they are still in business. The staff is exceptional. They are kind, witty and on the ball. They make a good drink, that's for sure. There are three rooms. The entryway is the 'bar room.' In the room they host live music, I saw A terrific Grateful Dead cover band in car of, Mr. Hat entertainment. He is a true treasure too. He never let the music die during the many pandemic months. Be sure to look for future evens out on, by Mr. Hat. They also have a pool room to the side of the room with the stage. Got there, bar side was pretty empty, got passed up 4 times before the bartender Jessica? came over. Ordered Tito's, they didn't have it. Ordered Bacardi, they didn't have it. Ordered Kettle One, third times a charm! Jessica seemed extremely annoyed that we were there in general. We paid, I tipped 50%, cause who knows- maybe she was having a bad day, sometimes being shown appreciation with cash fixes that. Nope, seemed to somehow make the situation worse. I have been trying to get in contact with this venue for some time now (Upwards of 5+) weeks . No one had responded to me whether it be Facebook, email or phone call. I was looking to book a show there for a tour I had coming up. After weeks of no responses or beating around the bush, I was informed today that no one got back to me because my "demographic" doesn't appeal there (Black people and/or rap music) even after specifying what type of music I had planned. Once I told the woman who refused to put me on the phone with management that I wanted to BUY OUT the building, her tone changed and she was willing to work with me. I am very disturbed. It was my first time there, and had a great time! We seen a thrash metal show which was fantastic, go Blessed Curse! Everyone was cool, music was great, pretty good sound system for the small venue. Drink prices were good too. I took one star off because the parking wasn't great on the hill, and their location is a bit out there. If you're drinking, gotta be careful driving out of there in the back roads with no street lights. read more

A little small for a music venue, but it's fairly roomy. Workers seem very nice and always kept the bar room clean even with the large crowd. Bathrooms are not really my cup of tea being that there are no solid stall doors, it's just a curtain that you pull closed and hope no one yanks it open. This is a actually one of the better ventilated bars I've been to-it never got too hot or humid despite all the bodies in the building. read more

Went to go see Pat Travers tonight for my birthday with my parents. Everyone was fantastic security, check in, bar tenders and the cook you only saw when he brought the food out. We've never experienced such quick friendly service and when we ran out they had their eyes on everything and asked if they could remove or refill what was there. I didn't get the names but who ever worked July 28th to the morning of July 29th I just want you to know how much we truly appreciated it. I really appreciated the man who took the time to see how I liked my drink and did it the best way he could really meant a lot since I'm not a huge drinker but, it was the night before my birthday and we were celebrating so thank you much. The best music in the East Bay! Thursday nights has live blues/rock/jazz/country every week 8-12am. Musicians from all over the bay area come jam together. Always lots of horns and great talent, including Ed Earley on vox/trombone (Formerly Albert King, and currently with Elvin Bishop). NO cover charge that night ever! It's unbelievable! Drinks are very reasonable and the food is good with a pizza/pasta restaurant across the street who delivers. read more

It's alright. I went here one time, and I had fun. I didn't necessarily appreciate the emcee's remarks through the intercom, but the singers mostly did and so did the rest of the attendees. It's not the best place in the world, but when you go to Crockett, there isn't much more to expect aside from the cancer producing sugar refinery and a few mom and pop stores and restaurants. I went to see James McCartney (the son of Sir Paul) in addition to a bunch of local artists, and it was alright. The people who worked here were friendly enough to me, but not overtly friendly--very rational though. I don't have much more of a reason to go back to Crockett aside from driving through it on the way between cities, but if they have an event going on here that I might like, count me in. I don't live far from here, and the food here isn't bad I don't think (Been wanting to try the goat foods on the menu). Parking is not the best, but if you show up late enough for a show here, you can park virtually anywhere that isn't someone's property or "tow away."
