Went to see the tribute to the BeeGees. First time there since they converted from a movie theater. I didn't realize how beautiful they made this place. The place is like an old style theater but with a modern lounge area. I recommend to come down and enjoy it sometime

First time watching a concert here, I was amazed how beautiful this place was. It wasn't a large theater, but it made it intimate for the concert goers and the performer. We watched Kimie Miner, a Hawaiian Recording Artist, She was awesome. Everybody had a chance to interact with her. It was amazing. 5 STARS for The Empress Theater!

Eric Gale's is back and better than ever!! Thanks for the AWESOME night!!

I have been here a few times but just took in the New year show... WOW We have so many diamonds in the rough here in Vallejo and if you need to see a great show at a great price in a great theater, why haven't you been here??? I have to give props to everyone at the empress, you are all the best... Looking forward to many great night's of fun in 2018... hope to see my readers here soon

Neat little place in V-town! Went to go see a blues band last Friday night. Great talent!!! The place is gorgeous inside and it's a laid back place to listen to awesome music. No rude hipster-wanna-be's here. Just people who come for the music. If you've got young ones, this is a great place to bring them so you can turn them on to something other than iTunes music. Get them interested in an instrument and broaden their horizons. Good atmosphere here. Check out their calendar and their music. Johnny

Great place for concerts and various venues! Empress isn't a large theatre. This provides good seats for everyone.

Fun arcade, lots of room. I didn't try the food but had a couple of cocktails. Lots of choices for games and quite a few pool tables.

Moe is still there but not alllll night. She closed her shift around 9. Seems like a new party crowd mixed the the old timers... a DJ showed up and so did security and a doorman that charged admission after 9 or 10. I loved the upgrades to the back patio area.

We all wanted to continue the party and us not being from the area, didn't know where to go. Thankfully, one of our friends had done some research on Yelp and suggested that we go to this spot...AND it was the best decision ever! We took an Uber (drink responsibly friends) and was dropped off at front where the parking lot was. Not going to lie, it looked a bit sketch, but hey, we were with a large group and my friend does BJJ so I was feeling okay about it. We step foot inside and it was incredibly spacious. Full on bar, pool table, highboys, and a barber chair in the back. Come to find out this is a barbershop x bar and what an excellent combo. Chop it up (hair and convo) while enjoying a drink. That's pure genius. What I especially love about this place is the hospitality. Scratch the fact that I got married and the perks that come with it, but everyone was so incredibly nice. A genuine nice. Also, Mo is by far the sweetest bartender! It's evident how much she loves her job, how much she cares for the people and the community. Do yourself a favor and try her homemade pickle juice! My friends and I all had a great time. Thank you H Lounge and Mo for the hospitality!

Unfortunately, the festival did not serve any liquor so we decided head down to the local bar before we enjoy the festival and all the food it had. We walked into the bar, and it felt like the establishment hasn't changed a bit. The ambiance is the dark speakeasy bar feeling. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a super nice bartender who made some delicious drinks! Back in the day there used to be brunch and a bigger food menu but they have stopped that. The buffet I guess was a waste and a lot of food didn't get eaten. They used to have a make your own Bloody Mary bar, but didn't see that either. The menu is on an IPad and it's nice to see the photos of what the every drink looks like. There is an assortment of drinks to choose from. This is one of the bars that actually knows how make drinks! We order a mixture of drinks, from the key lime pie martini, to the spicy jalapeño margaritas with the Tajin rim, to the delicious pear drink! These drinks were made with love! I would definitely recommend this place for drinks, during the evening they usually have a band playing. The only reason why it's not a 5 star is the old furniture... I used to love sitting on the sofas for a cozy feeling but they look pretty beat up now... just makes things look a bit dirty. Thanks for the drinks! It made the festival much better!
