"There is a light that shines special for you and me..." - The Light by Common ~ THE AMBIANCE ~ Are we in the Bay or are we in Hawaii? Newport Beach? Is this even Vallejo? Karlo and I toured two other venues before visiting the Lighthouse well over a year ago and immediately fell in love with the lush greenery, the palm trees, and the view overlooking the water. The Lighthouse felt like a destination even though it's in the Bay Area. It truly is a hidden gem and we got a lot of questions from our guests as to how we found this place. As a kid, I would often go to Suisun for the weekends with my Lola (Grandma) to visit family. The Carquinez bridge was pretty much the halfway point to getting home or to my Aunt's place - Crossing the Bridge and seeing the C&H Sugar factory served as a marker and indicator for me that I was almost home or almost there. At the venue, there is a pathway that leads to a lookout point where you'll see both the bridge and the sugar factory, and it was then we knew that we were going to get married here. ~ THE VENUE ~ The venue has two lawn areas which naturally lend themselves to a ceremony or cocktail hour space. It's absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony on the East Lawn (smaller lawn area to the left when facing the Lighthouse from the parking lot). It has a downward slope which made for an amphitheater like setting. We used the green palms as a backdrop for our ceremony and to be honest - it's beautiful as is even without decor. The bigger lawn area is where we had our Cocktail hour and it was the perfect setting and large enough to host 92 guests. We wanted an all in one space where we could have the ceremony and reception at one place, and the Lighthouse offered that. The indoor banquet hall fit our guest count and the windows all around gave a spectacular view to the marina and the sun set. The only downside is the four pillars that hold up the Lighthouse as it does block the view in certain angles especially when my husband and I had our first dance; however, guests got out of their seats to have a closer look. The kitchen also isn't a full kitchen so be aware of this. There's no stove to cook on or to keep food warm, and there is no ice machine. This one didn't really affect us as we had paella catered and everything was done outside on the paella pans and burners. The biggest selling point is the inn upstairs which accommodates up to 8 guests. Our brothers have younger children and we knew that this would be most convenient for them as the kids nap/are in need of a diaper change/need an area to pump. We had two guests who needed to pump and it was nice to be able to offer a comfortable place for them to do so in privacy without having to take up a bathroom stall in the hall. The inn is well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the decor is tasteful and we loved how history was incorporated in the small touches. It really made for beautiful getting ready photos and was such a pleasure to wake up to a view like that. ~ THE PEOPLE ~ As if the venue is not enough, the people behind the Lighthouse are truly the heart of it all. Crystal, Maggie and Alma like a what lighthouse does, guided us throughout the planning process, checked-in and made sure we were okay throughout the evening. They were so kind through it all and even made sure that my elderly parents were comfortable as mobility is an issue. We booked our vendors based on two things: kindness & connection, and we will never take for granted the hospitality they have offered us both leading up to our Wedding day and on the day-of. The Lighthouse is an amazing location for any event , but this was the perfect event space for our wedding . I cannot stress enough how great of an experience the planning process and day of was for my husband and I. The beautiful location and event space created a magical backdrop for all of our guests. Many of whom commented on how they loved the location with unbeatable views. Throughout the planning process , we worked with Maggie and her attention to detail and bright personality made the process fun and exciting. Maggie was always reachable by email, text, and call. She and Alma were there the day of the wedding to make sure everything went as planned . Working with them was so easy and they truly made our day even more special. We had a Thursday wedding and the accommodations to the upstairs living space was a perfect photo op spot for the "getting ready" photos , but also allowed our small family to have an intimate dinner the night before to mentally prepare. We found such marvelous vendors on their preferred list. And could not have been happier with the services provided. Wow. I stumbled upon this venue back in fall of 2019 from a friend on FB. Took one visit and immediately made my deposit to secure our wedding venue for the following year. Love at first sight! The pandemic happened and we postponed our Nov 2020 wedding to June 2021 and man..as much as I really wanted a November wedding, postponing was the best decision we could've made. Our wedding was the first wedding ( post pandemic) and this venue and let me tell you, the staff was wonderful in making sure they always responded back in a timely matter answering/addressing all our questions. I worked with Maggie a lot and she was wonderful. Also with Joelle for rehearsal and wedding day and she was also wonderful. This venue truly is a hidden gem in the Bay Area. We wanted a tropical/hawaii vibe here in the Bay where we could celebrate with all our loved ones and we got more than what we expected. The weather was beautiful and highlighted the entire venue even more. We had access to the entire property. Ceremony on east lawn, reception on west lawn and buffet, photobooth, sweets table and bar in banquet room. Aside from that, we also stayed upstairs in the inn and just WOW. Beautiful rental property above the venue. 2 stories, 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, Kitchen, dining area and living room. BEAUTIFUL. If you're looking for the vibe we were going for, look no further. Super late review (we were waiting for our wedding photos), but we got married on July 30th at the lighthouse and it was AMAZING! The venue is so gorgeous that we bought budget friendly flowers and no other real wedding decor and it was still so beautiful! The venue staff were super helpful from our initial zoom call, to days after the wedding. I definitely want to give a shout-out to Joelle for all her help!! She answered all our questions via email, put any stress we had on our wedding day at ease, and helped us retrieve glasses left behind by a bridesmaid! We hired a day-of-coordinator with very little experience, and looking back, we wished we asked Joelle instead!! Finally, we wanted to mention that our wedding had about 110 guest and I think that was the perfect amount for enough seating, a welcome table, buffet table, dessert table, DJ booth, bar, and a big dance floor inside the venue. We could have added an additional table for another 10 guests, without losing our dance floor, but it would have been in the back corner by our bar which wouldn't be the greatest seating in terms of head table or dance floor views. I will forever call this "The hidden gem" of Vallejo. We had our wedding here August 31. The weather was a perfect 78 degrees with clear skies followed by then evening cool down with a slight breeze! We actually live down the street and come down often to mosey with our pets so it was a no brainer where to get hitched! The venue is well kept and absolutely stunning at all hours of the day. The staff was incredibly helpful and easy to work with! They basically held my hand through every detail. Crystal and Maggie are a dream team! For all the questions I didn't have answers to, they helped guide me to resolving. The timeline was nailed down and flowing only because of the staff. They managed all my vendors so I didn't have to and even gently repacked all my decor items at the end of the night. They assisted in placement of tables and chairs, even saw Crystal setting up our head table sitting in our seats to make sure they lined up to see all our guest at the dining tables, talk about attention to detail! Did I mention how literally every place you stand in that venue is a photographers dream? Because it is! The lush gardens, views of the bridge right on the water, the little vineyard off to the side, the staircases, even from a distance, it's easily the most photogenic space I've ever been in. Perfect for events for sure! The Inn upstairs was spectacular and immaculate. It was a wonderful place to get ready with friends and family. And it's a place we can stay the night on our anniversary for years to come, how cool is that!!? All in all I say 10/10 on every single thing. I highly recommend the Lighthouse! The Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina was the absolute perfect venue for our Daughter's November Wedding. From start to finish; booking, planning through the day of, Crystal, Maggie and Alma were the dream team! Though the couple chose to have a church wedding, Crystal worked with us and all vendors on the timeline and kept the reception moving along and the guests feeling welcome and happy. Fortunately, with beautiful weather the cocktail hour was held outdoors as planned, Crystal did have a contingency plan just in case, which eased any stress we would have had. This is an absolutely gorgeous venue. I've been lucky enough to go there on multiple occasions and each time I have a great time. The staff there is always welcoming and friendly to me - making me feel like family. The lawns are well maintained and well shaded, but on occasion when it's really hot and I've been there the inside (where dancing takes place) is air conditioned and clean. I wanted to keep decor for our wedding super simple. My bridesmaids and I DIY'd all our wedding decor and florals. We had the opportunity to decorate the venue space how we wanted it to be. The photo opportunities at the Lighthouse are plentiful to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds as well. I can't forget about our stay at the Lighthouse Inn. I rented the Inn on March 30, 2022 for my bridesmaids and I to spend my last night as a single lady together. The Lighthouse Inn was decorated nicely and modern! Very spacious and clean! It's the perfect place to stay for a girls night in. My bridesmaids and I definitely enjoyed our stay here. It was so nice to wake up on wedding morning and enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast with a beautiful view of the waterfront. My bridesmaids and I really enjoyed getting ready all together at the Inn on the morning of our wedding! My husband and I also stayed at the Inn on our wedding night. It was convenient to be able to stay at the Inn after our wedding which was included in our wedding package. We absolutely love the Lighthouse and their team! My husband and I had a small wedding in March and were looking for the perfect venue to hold our wedding reception this August. We viewed several venues, and upon meeting Maggie at the Lighthouse and touring the property, we immediately felt that our vision was in good hands. Maggie guided us early on and made us feel confident in bringing what we envisioned to life. Not only was the Lighthouse local for our families, but it had everything we could have asked for and more. You name it: vineyard, palm trees, boats, outdoor areas, indoor areas, roses, and much more. There was a place for everyone to enjoy: a dance floor, outdoor lawns and indoor spaces. We ended up having the most beautiful and stress-free day at this venue. It was so beautiful on its own that it required minimal decor. But the additional decor and activities provided by our coordinator Crystal were the perfect supplement to the already incredible venue. Crystal made us feel heard and like she knew exactly what we wanted and how to bring it to life. The Lighthouse Team was incredible and made planning so easy. The recommended vendors were all amazing and made the day run so smoothly. The coordination provided by the Lighthouse team, especially Crystal + Maggie, made our day completely stress free. They went above and beyond for us and we could not be more grateful. As we were already married, we went into this day expecting a low pressure, fun celebration with our family and friends. But there was something about having the opportunity to celebrate with all of our friends and family and feel all their love that made us feel more married than we did after our small ceremony in March. We left more in love with each other and with more love for all those who celebrated with us. We looked at reviews prior to booking but it seems they all worked with Crystal and not Maggie. Please read reviews carefully! I have planned and executed 10 weddings and this venue was, by far, the most difficult to work with. Planning a wedding takes a great deal of coordination and cooperation between the venue and the planner. This venue appeared to have a single focus and that was to make the event difficult if we used vendors that were not on their preferred list. The constant shaming because we didn't use their vendors was brought up over and over again. Every other venue coordinator at other weddings I have done made the effort to help and assist when possible no matter who was tending bar or catering. By the way.. you will have to pay 1500 dollars extra to use your own vendor. The venue coordinator appeared to believe her job was to tell us things would not go well if we didn't fork out the money for their preferred vendors, constantly reminding us that we would have less problems if we used vendors on the preferred list. This added a great deal more stress to the process that was not appreciated. From the beginning we let Maggie know that the bride and groom were on a tight budget, and this was a "Do it Yourself" wedding. In the beginning, before you sign, she seems so sweet and accommodating, but once your deposit is paid things change rapidly. The venue is also not great for a party {as the dance floor is separate from the dining and the lounge area} if you don't want the dancing time split into several parties. The inside area is very segregated by walls and pillars and made many people leave the dance floor and go outside which broke the party in half. They also have MANY restrictions. I lost $250 dollars of my deposit because I had bubbles at the ceremony. The venue coordinator Maggie was there from 10 am and the ceremony was at 3:30 the bubbles were on the welcome table at 11am. Why would they not look at the tables to make sure everything was good? Because they like taking your deposit money! They could easily have sent an email the week before reminding the couple of all 20 things on the restrictions list since the contract was read a year prior, but no, because they want your deposit money. I have never written a bad review about any of the venues I have worked with before always 5 stars but I'm sorry this had to be done to hopefully spare you from working with this snobby restrictive venue. read more

This was a beautiful venue that I got to spend the night at for a friend's wedding. From my small interactions with the staff, they were kind and sweet. Very easy to work with. The scene is not mind blowing but it is rather peaceful and truly compliments whatever occasion is being celebrated. Go upstairs from the balcony and see it at a higher view, 10/10. Best part of this venue is having the option to stay the night before and after the wedding. It took the worry off driving home safely after drinking or forgetting something in our bags. Things to note: the venue is long so it is important to unify all different elements and sections of the event. My friends had the dance indoors, cocktail along the edge of the water, dinner in the larger grass area, and ceremony in part most visible to the parking lot. Really we spent most our time along the edge and deck. It's where the appetizer and drinks were, but also the lighting was cute at night with the string bulbs. The breeze also felt amazing. Also! By the end of the night you might be getting tired of the stairs if you're going back and forth to the rooms. Something to consider if you or your party has older people or bad knees. read more

I'm so glad my husband and I found this place when looking for a wedding venue. He immediately fell in love with the well-kept property. It is filled with trees and green lawns that make you feel like you're on an island vacation. Having the stay in the Inn also made this an easy decision as we had a place to get ready and stay at the end of the evening. It's also great that they have an indoor and outdoor option for the reception. We worked with Crystal from the beginning starting with a virtual tour (due to Covid) and met her in person a few times to look at the venue in person as well. As most people know; a lot goes into wedding planning, but The Lighthouse made it as easy and simple. Brittanie helped us with the early planning stages and Crystal took over about halfway. Both ladies were wonderful and great at communication. Crystal was our day of coordinator and made sure everything was just right. We love Crystal so much she became family by the end of the night. The venue itself is great for events. Capacity is 140. They host other events there besides weddings. I was informed about an upcoming paint night. The view is great; a truly hidden gem in the Vallejo area. Lots of parking and grassy areas. Trees and succulents are a good touch. I constantly saw maintenance up keeping the venue every time I visited the area. The Inn above The Lighthouse is beautiful and spacious. It's a two story, 4 bed 2 bath, complete with full kitchen, dining, washer and dryer. It can also be rented out as a vacation home. Overall highly recommend The Lighthouse for any event. This venue offers many upgraded perks and if there's something that isn't included in their packages, they know a vendor that they are happy to refer you to. I can't express how grateful I am for the ladies at the Lighthouse. I had a bad experience with my previous venue and had to make a venue switch in the middle of wedding planning. I met Marie who was understanding and accommodating! My coordinator ended up being Brittanie who was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with. She helped tie up loose ends, offered great suggestions, and did her best to ease a stressed brides nerves. I was fortunate enough to have help from not only Brittanie but Dana, Marie and Crystal during the process. The team at the Lighthouse are knowledgeable, friendly, patient, attentive, caring and work as a great team. If Brittanie was out, Marie could help me or Crystal without a hitch. The ladies worked hard to come up with a rain contingency plan and were very accommodating. Luckily, there was no rain, everything the day of my wedding turned out beautiful! My wife and I got married at The Lighthouse on 7/16 and we are SO glad we did! It was an absolutely magical experience and we are so in love with The Lighthouse! Book it for your event!!!! From the first time we walked on the property, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. It has incredible energy, is so relaxing and serene, private and intimate and beyond beautiful. Plus, the weather in Vallejo is always really nice (no fog!) and there is always a breeze at the marina! I really don't think there is a better venue in the Bay Area! My wife and I got ready at The Lighthouse the morning of the wedding which was so convenient and special and we stayed in the Inn on our wedding night. We did our ceremony on the small lawn, cocktail hour on the deck, dinner on the large lawn and then dancing and desserts and photobooth inside. Having designated spaces for each section of the party really kept the energy up! The venue is so gorgeous in the late afternoon and during sunset!!! It had this magical light and energy and the marina was the perfect backdrop for our wedding and our photos! Plus, the venue also came with chairs, tables and cocktail tables which was a plus. It was just the perfect space!!! Also, working with Marie and her team was a BREEZE. She is literally the most lovely human ever, she is so fabulous and went above and beyond for us. She was so sweet, highly responsive and communicative, helpful, thoughtful and solutions-focused. She answered our continuous onslaught of questions, offered advice, helped us brainstorm and worked around our requests. She was seriously the best and I knew we were in good hands the whole time! We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding. The Lighthouse has beautiful views of the Glen Cove Marina and the landscaping is amazing! It's perfect for either an indoor or outdoor reception! They were able to accommodate our wedding of 160 guests and made the entire planning process as easy as possible. I highly recommend that you use their day of coordination services. We worked with Crystal and she had everything so well organized, it took a lot of the pressure and stress out of the day for me as the bride. She communicated with all of the vendors and really helped us bring together our vision for our special day. It was a great venue. I love it. Working with the lighthouse staff was great, they were very friendly and helpful. I wish I would have chosen them to plan my wedding. I would have given them 5 if they didn't charge a lot for things that I think should be included in the price. For example, the string light on the east lawn, they charge $500 to turn them on during the summer. During the summer it is getting dark around 7:30 or later. That means you only get to use the light for a couple of hours. Beautiful and great venue. I had an amazing experience and I wish it wasn't over. read more

We got married at the lighthouse on 5/5/18 and it was absolutely perfect! The venue was everything we wanted and more!! The views from the venue are spectacular and since it's in a cove, it feels private and the wind is blocked off. Marie and Brittanie are super responsive and were very accommodating! The lighthouse let's you rent the space from 10am to midnight which is HUGE for planning a wedding! There is also a 4x2 apartment above the venue that you can stay in which is amazing!! Since there weren't any events the two days leading to ours, we were able to stay at the lighthouse for 3 nights which was a Major help with prepping! I highly recommend booking a wedding here!! We had 170 people and were able to do the ceremony on the east lawn, dinner on the west lawn, and had a band in the banquet room! This venue is worth every penny!! read more

I had my late husband's Celebration of Life on the rainiest day in decades! The staff of the Lighthouse went out of their way to mitigate the damage the water caused in the main dining room. Crystal and her staff went above and beyond to make sure that my event would be as special as my husband. She moved tables, added more tables, provided tablecloths and helped me showcase my husbands many interests. She even brought down a hat tree to display the many hats my husband wore! I had out of town guests and I booked the suite of rooms at the top of the Lighthouse for the evening. Crystal made sure everything was just right and allowed us to check in a little early. I have recommended The Lighthouse to several people. My guests raved about the venue and about Aurora Catering's delicious food offerings. All in all, a sad occasion was made more palatable because of the care Crystal and her staff gave me and my family. read more

My husband and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to book this venue for our very special day. The Lighthouse team were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. Crystal was not only professional, but made us feel very comfortable to discuss our financial budget along with a contract that was very easy to follow. They went above and beyond the call of duty. It's because of this team that gave us a very affordable wedding! My husband and I did a "D-I-Y" wedding and it turned out better than what we both expected especially because the environment itself is already beautiful on its own. With one phone call, the staff are always ready to help any questions and concerns! I also LOVED that the team checks up on us via email and sent us a free Starbucks gift card to ease the stress from wedding planning. My husband and I chose this venue not only because of its picturesque place, but it's a Bring Your Own Bottle venue. Not a lot of venues offer byob - San Francisco venues usually only offers beer, wine, or champagne. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were...especially the venue alone. My parents and I decided to tour The Lighthouse for their 50th anniversary celebration and we immediately fell in love with the location, the scenery, and staff that we booked the following day! Fast forward 18 months later, we finally had our celebration this past weekend and cannot be any happier. The event space coordinators, Maggie, Joelle, and Crystal, were all very helpful and accommodating in our planning in the months leading up to and the day of the event. Keep in mind this all happened during the COVID pandemic and they made sure everything went on without a hitch! This place is the definition of a hidden gem! If you're looking for a place to "WOW" your guests, this is definitely it! Such a stunning venue to have any sort of event. Not only is it the perfect location, but the staff is also amazing and so helpful! I had my college graduation party here on June 2nd, 2018. I reserved my day around the beginning of September 2017 (a little less than a year in advanced). I came across it here on Yelp and came to see/visit shortly after. Once I toured the Lighthouse, I was amazed and knew I had to reserve it asap! Crystal, Marie, and Brittanie (staff @ the Lighthouse) made it so easy for me to plan my party! They were so attentive, easy going, communicative, and kind. My party was exactly what I envisioned! The day and place was so gorgeous that I did not need much decor. I had my dinner portion outside on the bigger lawn with Mariachi, while my food, deserts, backdrop, and etc. was all inside the banquet room. That really helped the traffic getting around. A huge plus was that there are so many bathrooms all around the place, so none of my guests had to wait and again reduced the walking traffic! Additionally, around 7 pm the dance portion of my event began and it was all inside the banquet room. I had live music so everyone was dancing, thankfully the room has AC! On the smaller lawn I had a game area that included a jumbo connect four, a giant jenga, twister, uno, and large checkers. This was fun and so great to have this lawn where all the kids could play and stay entertained. At night the string lights just made it much more fun! Throughout the day/night there was a security guard and a coordinator who were so sweet and helpful, making sure everything was going smoothly. Also, to note, the Lighthouse provides the pretty round tables and chairs, in addition to the linens, which was HUGE! No venue does this, and just another reason why this place stands out! All my guests were just in awe with the Lighthouse. The location being right next to the water and the bridge just made the ambiance so fun and enjoyable. I rarely leave reviews, however The Lighthouse is so deserving of a GREAT review! My husband and I was fortunate to book this venue for our wedding this weekend, and I could not be more grateful for the service and attention that Brittanie (Day-of Coordinator) and the LH team provided us. From the very beginning of our planning process, Brittanie was ALWAYS a huge help and available. Super professional (and gorgeous), and patient! I am super particular and I made so many last minute changes and decisions and she worked with us with so much grace and patience, we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator! This venue is BEAUTIFUL! When we first found The Lighthouse online, the pictures were amazing but to see this venue in person was jaw dropping. We knew instantly there was no need to look anywhere else. In addition to having the venue for our big day, we were also able to stay in the Inn located on the top two floors. The entire experience here was like a dream! All of our guests made sure to let us know how beautiful everything was here and I'm still in awe over the view of the this venue as our backdrop. I cannot say enough good things about The Lighthouse and the staff! I knew I wanted to get married here from the moment I saw it! My husband and I knew we wanted to do a tropical themed wedding and I wanted a venue with palm trees. The Lighthouse was the perfect place to make our tropical dreams come true. We used the coordination services and worked mostly with Brittanie. We were able to meet with her 3 times before our wedding and she just made everything so easy! Everything I may have overlooked, she was there to help me! I was so stressed I would forget something but Brittanie had my back every step of the way. I loved how everything at The Lighthouse could be customized to our liking. We were able to find our own vendors but were also given recommendations when we needed them. We were able to make our wedding truly personal, unlike some other wedding venues that make you purchase packages or use their vendors. Downtown Benicia is close by so our guests were able to stay in hotels nearby. My husband and I loved staying in the Inn the night of our wedding.
