I was the Maid of Honor for my best friend's wedding on October 1st. The property is BEAUTIFUL! Gary and his team were super amazing! They were so nice and set everything up on time and were very helpful. It is definitely an older house but has been kept up nicely. The rooms were all spacious, clean and comfortable. I especially loved the books everywhere. It was so convenient to have majority of the wedding party staying at the inn with us. Definitely a great wedding venue.

Awful experience.

RUN. I don't even know where to start, besides here: I don't ever leave reviews unless something is out of this world wonderful or completely awful, unfortunately our experience here was the latter. My husband and I got married on 8/3/2024, a day I will never forget and sadly can hardly reflect on because I'm reminded of how bad our experience was. The first red flag was when Gary yelled and spoke very rudely to our wedding planner, dj, and cater who were on site for a viewing. Yes there were scheduling miscommunications, but raising your voice and being rude to anyone is unacceptable. We were told that we would be able to be in by 1 since the guest staying before weren't having an event and would be out early, but as the day approached that wasn't the case and the interior of the house still hadn't been finished cleaning by 3, our wedding started at 4. On to probably the worst part, as I was walking down the aisle the small house on the grounds started to play rap music VERY loud, at the exact same time I started walking down the aisle. They then did it again as we started our vows and again, right when our Indian ceremony began. Luckily I was caught up in the moment, but as you can imagine was horrified, when over 50 of our guests came up to me the next day to tell me that they heard loud inappropriate music as I was coming down the aisle, and as we were exchanging vows. I was not only horrified, I was embarrassed, and heartbroken that those special moments were ruined because of a senseless person intentionally ruined them. When night came, we were told that the venue staff would turn on the outside lighting, they didn't. When my Wedding Planner went to go look for the venue staff, they were sitting in the garage with headphones on, he had to tap them on the shoulder to ask them to turn the lights on which they then responded" idk how go ask the other guy". We were told that the lights would be on for our first dance, they were not, again another lie and embarrassment as only some of the lights were on. During our first dance, multiple guest reported hearing two males, having a very loud conversation off to the side that included profanity and inappropriate language. Another special moment ruined. When I described the venue staff, they confirmed that it was them. Throughout the duration of the wedding, we were told that the venue staff would be responsible for cleaning up the grounds, including the bathrooms and filling the toilet paper and empty the garbage. This was not the case, our Wedding Planner again had to go find the venue staff in the garage, tap them on the shoulder and ask them to change the toilet paper multiple times. The response was "here's the toilet paper you can change it" and he threw it in the table. The garbages in the bathrooms were overflowing, the Wedding Planner had to ask one of my wedding guest to empty the bathroom garbage. Multiple times throughout the night the Wedding Planner had to ask the venue staff to please not be out around guest sitting on the floor as he was and on his phone. We used the venues, Dancefloor, which they set up, it was installed improperly. There was nothing underneath, leveling the dance floor so throughout the night pieces started falling apart, causing my four-year-old daughter to trip as well as many other guest. The Wedding Planner had to fix the floor multiple times to ensure our guest did not get hurt. The next morning I woke up with bug bites throughout my arms and other guest that stayed at the home, also reported the same bites. When we were getting ready at the venue, and the cleaning staff were still there because they were not done cleaning in time the Wedding Planner observed poor cleaning habits of their cleaning staff and also in conversation with Gary heard him disclose that he takes the bedding home to wash at his home, according to the Wedding Planner this is against hotel and wedding venue regulations. After hearing everyone's concerns and being enraged by the fact that we cannot look back on our wedding day without remembering the disaster that it was we decided to email Gary and ask for a refund since we did not feel he withheld his part of the contract and because our experience was so poor. We were hoping that Gary would understand our concerns and would give us some sort of peace, but instead he invited us back to the home to discuss our concerns and gave us every excuse under the sun for every single concern we had. We noticed the beautiful property, the giant wine glass sculpture, and a sign for live music on Friday night, so we decided to stop in. Jeff greeted us at the door and immediately made us feel welcome. After hearing we enjoy sparkling wine, he poured us a taste of their Brut, which was crisp, refreshing, and good enough that we ordered a bottle to enjoy while the band set up. The atmosphere here is fantastic with comfortable seating, a lively crowd, and genuinely friendly staff like Jessica & Jeff. Jeff also shared a little history of the winery and introduced us to some of their house-made spirits, including a surprisingly smooth vodka crafted from Chardonnay grapes. My friend especially loved their tequila selection. Once Sixty Scandals started playing their '80s covers, the place came alive. People were dancing, laughing, and just having a great time. We even ended up making a few new wine friends during the evening. Before we left, my friend joined the wine club, and we walked out with bottles, hats, and plans to come back soon. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who was humble, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating a fun community space. If you're in the Fairfield/Suisun area, Bally Keal is absolutely worth checking out. Cheers / sláinte!

Couple others ordered the Cubano and said they enjoyed it. Service was attentive and quick. One odd moment occurred... me, my wife and her aunt arrived before others and ordered a cappuccino each. There's a counter area where you can order coffee, pastries, breakfast items, or food to-go, while the left side has a hostess stand if you'd prefer full table service inside or on the patio. The brunch menu was a bit limited, and I ended up ordering the croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was soft and fresh, but overall the sandwich left me wanting a little more flavor. It was on the smaller side, didn't have much bacon, and even with the preserved tomato aioli it felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast potatoes also weren't really my favorite. They were small whole potatoes with the skins on and heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper. Personally, I would've liked another side option such as fresh fruit. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. For two croissant sandwiches, two iced teas, and a side of fries, the total came to around $70 with tip, which felt a little pricey for the overall experience. The property itself is beautiful. It looks like they host live music and events in the outdoor quad area, and I noticed they also offer wood-fired pizza after 11 AM, which honestly sounds worth coming back to try. Overall, I have mixed feelings as the atmosphere and service were great, but the food didn't quite live up to expectations for me personally.

After the visit, we beelined to Sonoma Harvest. Unbeknownst to us, the shop was closing in 10 minutes though. (Yes, they have posted hours outside but I didn't look before I went in). The associate enthusiastically welcomed us in and politely told us we are welcome but closing in 10 minutes. So I told here it was our first time and was just going to take a quick look. She and the others was closing but she multi tasked and spoke to us. As I did my self guided world wind tour of the space; she was engaging and spoke about the olive press, operations and offerings. She didn't have to speak to us, but did anyway. Definitely bookmarking to come back in the near future. They offer wine and olive oil & balsamic vinegar tastings. They have over 20 flavors of olive oil. That's a lot! Additionally they have a curated line of artisanal and local sourced tapenades, jams, jellies, honey, and gift items. I sampled a few infused olive oils, yum. The interior is beautiful. The vibe is family friendly. The current hours of operation are 12pm-4pm Thurs-Sun.

One of my clients reserved the larger hall for a party and while the space itself was good, it was much too warm in the building - even in April. I can only imagine how hot it gets during a Solano County summer! I heard from several attendees of the party who have been to other events at the Center that is is regularly much too warm. I don't know if there is AC available and it's just not turned on, or if this beautiful and historic venue really has no AC, but it was much too warm even with the doors and windows open on this mid-April evening. There is a parking garage right next door and also street parking available. We brought in our own catering with no issue whatsoever and even served wine (pretty sure that is allowed - I actually didn't make the arrangements). There was ample seating (long tables with chairs) for our dinner event and plenty of tables for a buffet and makeshift bar area. Again, it's a lovely facility and a real benefit for the citizens of Solano County but if you want to have an event here, I would absolutely check on the temperature controls. With almost 70 people in the large room, it was sweltering and uncomfortable.
