NO STARS!! Not impressed with the customer service I called to inquire about renting the venue for my son's 10th birthday party. The woman asked what kind of party we were having and how old the birthday child was. When I told her it was a 10th birthday party, she immediately said it probably wasn't a good place to rent because they have chandeliers and mirrors that could break if kids were throwing balls. I understand wanting to protect the venue, but the way she responded came across as very dismissive and unwelcoming. There are definitely more professional ways to explain the venue's rules or limitations without making a potential customer feel like their event would be a problem. After that interaction, I told her I didn't appreciate the customer service and decided not to rent the venue. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not a good one. read more

All the negative reviews you read about this place are ABSOLUTELY true! Natalie is VERY RUDE!! Before even attending an event here I had family friends tell me about their unpleasant experience and didn't listen! This was not my event but one I attended and arrived early too to help set up w/ family! Natalie says you can bring your own decor but she really doesn't want you too! She wants you to rent her stuff and use her stuff that she rents. You want to decorate one way she'll be following you around telling you to do it her way! Listen, she's sweet as hell when you meet her but the day of your event it's a completely different story! I usually show up early and help w/ parties but I have NEVER dealt w/ an owner like her! I haven't. She'll rant about how many languages she speaks and how educated she is but she cannot read the room. I just want to say Natalia is the BEST ! I had my wedding reception in the galaxy ballroom and the set up was beautiful. Natalia was very helpful and professional she worked with my vendors to get everything set up perfectly I told her my vision and she made it come true and then some. I was worried about the negative reviews but honestly I think the negative reviews are because people don't like to follow the rules and I understand she has rules set in place to protect herself and her property and guests of the venue. She was very attentive to my needs and her communication was very good and she made it easier for me to not have to stress to set everything up and she even included clean up so I didn't have to worry about cleaning up after my guests. Natalia was recommended to me for my husband's repass. My Sister and I went to view the venue and confirm the reservation. After having a long conversation with Natalia in regards to the history of the building and the love of dancing we realized this was the perfect place. We utilized the downstairs room for the repass. Decor was beautiful along with our own added touches. Sound system was paid for but we ended up not using it. Natalia was very knowledgeable and professional when it came to setting up the event. Just got off the phone to do a availability and price check. I was told they were completely booked, without stating what date I would need it for. Once I let the lady know I need it for a Saturday or Sunday morning, no tables, chairs, just the venue itself, 3-4 hours, poof availability opened up. She then said she couldn't rent the place because they would have to take out the tables and chairs out. Don't they have dance classes here? Why so selective on who you offer an actual quote? When I left my initial review, I gave it mostly based on the price for the space, which was a great deal. Even though the neighborhood isn't great and the parking is horrible, service is weird and unprofessional, the price was right. Last week, we inquired about having another event here (our family has had several over the years) and imagine my surprise to hear the price has more than TRIPLED. She got upset because we wanted to bring our own decorations and make our wedding look , how we want it to look. We tried to respectfully explain despite her rude attitude. This is a fantastic dance studio! I started taking classes here after divorcing a non-dancing man. I hadn't danced in decades and was very nervous when I first arrived. Natasha, the owner and ex-professional dancer, made me feel welcome and wanted. I had two seriously left feet, and in about 3 months of weekly Ballroom & Latin classes that's turned around to where I'm capable, confident, and excited about going dancing. Natasha is a wonderful dance instructor. The Friday night dance parties begin with instruction from 8-9pm then open dancing until 11pm. Last night the lessons were on Cha-Cha and Tango, the styles rotate weekly. Sunday afternoons from 2-3pm is Ballroom lessons (Fox Trot, Swing, etc.) followed by 3-4pm Latin lessons (Salsa, Cha-Cha, Tango, etc.). I'm finding I like the Latin dances best, but am learning them all....slowly. Every 2nd Sunday of the month is a Milonga---an Argentine Tango dance party---from 5-9pm. It's lead by Michael Tailant, an accomplished professional dancer from Argentina, and many in the Bay Area Tango community attend his MIlongas. Again, it starts with one hour of instruction, followed by open dancing. I went to my first Milonga a few weeks ago, and had a blast. Michael is also a wonderful instructor. There's a Practicia held every other Thursday for those wanting to work on their Argentine Tango moves. This is a huge building with three studios, one per floor, all with beautiful new hardwood floors and great lighting. It is a FANTASTIC dance studio. Oh, and they offer Hip-Hop, Ballet, and other classes, too. Hope to see you on the dance floor soon! read more

My first meeting with Natasha was actually really pleasant and I was set that THIS was the place for our wedding and reception. She told us we didn't need to put a deposit yet since we were still over a year away. I called her a couple months later wanting to arrange to pay our deposit, and that's when all hell broke loose. 1) She told us that both floors I was interested in renting (1 for ceremony and 1 for reception) would hold 200 people originally. On this call she said actually the floor I wanted to do the ceremony would hold 150 at most and I should just tell some of my guests to come late! WHAT?! My ceremony is the most important part of the day for me! But, I started to consider cutting our guest list even more since I really liked the place 2) Originally she gave us prices for IF we wanted to use their catering and IF we wanted to use their decorations. On this call, I informed her I wanted to bring my own caterer (which is ok at their venue) and bring my own decorations. She told me NO!!! My wedding would be a "disaster" if I thought I could decorate the venue better than her! By then I was already done!! I didnt want to do business with her. I gave her a chance even after someone told me "Be careful with Natasha... she changes up and never writes anything down so there's no proof of her promises" this was a former bride who had done her wedding there. If you have two left feet like me and you want to learn how to dance, come to this place. I came here on a whim with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. Today was our first day. Immediately upon arrival, Natasha, the owner and dancer, greeted us. She made us feel very comfortable and at ease. The class is a mix of dancers (newbies and folks that know how to dance) and it lasted 2 hours , from 2pm-4pm. All I can say is it was fun and awesome and Natasha is great! She is patient and funny. Natasha graciously took me on a tour of her Event Center a few days ago when I was researching dance venues for my area. There are 3 (three ballrooms in this center and they are all amazing. Natasha is professional and friendly, I truly enjoyed our interaction. I decided to take a class... Yesterday, I took two classes (ballroom and Latin) and was delighted. I signed up for the deal of the century: the Punch Card! It is several classes for a reduced rate...voile!!! Natasha is an excellent instructor and is patient and warm hearted. I am excited about dancing with the groups there. I can compare her with other professional instructors I took extensive classes from in Florida, Washington and Southern California...I have lucked out by finding Natasha!!! Woooooooow. Never ever will my family nor I will rent this place for a party again, both owners are a pain in the ass. Mad and bitter. My family had a teenager party and obviously teenagers attended, this lady literally yelled at the teenagers saying no teenagers were allowed nor kids. The old lady is sooo rude and arrogant. Hates kids. She was irritated at the kids playing around. They stalk you the whole time there. They're disgusting spitting on floor. No manners. Table cloths were filthy how can the guest sit on muddy, poop looking stains. We asked for the dirty ones to be changed and she gave us attitude saying not to worry about it she will change it all snatching away the chair cloths from our hands. She didn't let me bring my own table nor chair cloths. The old man, which I think is her husband was also very bitter and very rude, yelled at the guest because of football teams preference. Are you freaking kidding me? Not everybody goes to the same damn team. Ruined the whole event. Added more stress. You can't be rude to the party guest. Party was not an invitation only party. Why would she ask for invitations at the door? We would've let our guest know if she would've told us that invitations were required. Super annoying. Let's not forget the AC issue asked her to turn it on because it was extremely hot. She said AC didn't work. (Does she want to safe money that we paid her and have us faint or dehydrate?) A month prior to my event I met with Natasha Natalya whomever she goes by and she was soooo pleasant while touring the facility and trying to upsell her shabby Party accessories. The day of the event totally different woman. She argued and got in the face of my family member waging her finger rolling her neck with her hands on her hip because a few tables were moved. She watched the whole event on video from a side and room and when she felt something was inappropriate to her she came out to confront. She sat in the front of the event room at a table with a clear view and watch through the doorway as well as watched the camera video. She threatened to never rent to me again which is fine. The behavior this woman displayed was very Karen. But when the money was being exchanged she was the most pleasant. When she was trying to upsell her shoddy accessories she was pleasant. I was very professional and well as my guests. We rented the hall for seven hours and I was out by six hours to never return to this woman's establishment again! Honestly it's overpriced the venue is nice however it's OVERPRICED! Especially taking into consideration the type of woman you'll have to deal with. I was almost in tears when this woman threatened to kick us out the day of the event for moving chairs. Moving chairs. Reducing chairs from 7 a table to 5! That's socially distancing ma'am. No fire exits were blocked and no was one hurt. But this woman's feelings apparently were over some chairs. She's money hungry and her business etiquette stinks.
